Chapter 23: Mutiny Most Fowl

On the streets of Drake City, Ryou was sitting in the park with Dante drinking some sodas and relaxing.
"Aww, this is nice." Ryou sighs.
"It's been a long time since you and I were able to sit down and relax like this Ryou." Dante said laying down.
"I'll say. I can't remember the last time we did this." Ryou said.
"That's because you lost your memories." Dante smirks.
Chuckling Ryou looks to him. "Hey dad, what was I like? I mean before I lost my memories."
"Well there's not much to say. To me you still act the same, but I think hanging out with that Zarya and Piper made you a little more of a risk taker." Dante said.
"Hmm guilty." Ryou smiles.
"Honestly, it's fine to think about the past, but I prefer to live in the present and I have to say I am very happy with how things are." Dante said.
"Even with mom free?" Ryou asks.
"I said I was happy I didn't say it was perfect." Dante said causing Ryou to laugh.
"Okay you got me there." Ryou said.
"You were pretty close with all our Huntik Foundation members but I think if you have questions about your past, they would be happy to share with you." Dante said.
"Noted." Ryou said.
"You got any other questions about your past? I'll try to answer them." Dante said.
"Yeah, you said after I stopped Rassmiov we had to hide the Amulet of Will before we went on the run. What did we do with it?" Ryou asks.
"We hid it with someone we knew we could trust with it. Someone the Spectral Hand, Necrafa even Rassmiov if he was still here would never think to look." Dante said.
"Wow." Ryou said.
"Yeah we had quite a life. Running from the enemy, finding Seekers and being a royal pain to everyone who messed with us, but you and I always managed to find time to have fun." Dante said.
"Sounds awesome dad. I wish I could remember that." Ryou sighs.
"You will someday." Dante said patting him on the back before standing up. "Well I better get going."
"Where are you off to?" Ryou asks.
"Montehue. He wants to have one of our famous competitions now that we're in the same city again. It's probably best you don't be near this." Dante cringed.
"Oh I believe you." Ryou said getting up.
As Ryou and Dante walked their separate ways, neither noticed the Red Nile was looking down at them from a rooftop.
"Well Dante hasn't changed a bit and that must mean…" Looking over the Red Nile's eyes moved towards Ryou causing her to smile. "Found you, Ryou."
That night at the Mysticon Base, Em was frantically going through her closet.
"Oh my goblin. I have no idea what to wear for my date with Kasey and I forgot how to do that thing where you put that air in your mouth to live." Em panics.
"You mean breathing?" Piper asks.
"Yeah that." Em said breathing heavily.
"Relax Em, Kasey already knows you're the shiniest gem in the mine, but if you'd like I think I can give you a hand." Arkayna offers.
"Yes please." Em said.
"By the power of the Princess, Mysticon makeover." Arkayna fires a ball of green light and it turns Em's outfit into a beautiful purple dress.
"It's, it's perfect." Em smiles.
In the main room, Zarya was on her tablet listening to music when Piper jumped in.
"Ladies and ladies. Introducing!" Piper said mimicking a trumpet as Em walks in.
"I look good." She smiles.
"Zarya? Zarya?" Piper calls out but Zarya didn't hear.
Walking over Arkayna pulls out her earbuds.
"Hey my Orc Bash." Zarya said.
"Check out our girl." Arkayna points as Zarya turns around and smiles.
"Doesn't she look fabtacular?" Piper asks.
"Hold on." Zarya walks over and puts a flower in Em's hair. "Now she does."
"I'll say." Ryou said walking in. "Kasey's gonna love you in that dress."
"Thanks Ryou, I don't suppose I can get a strategy for this?" Em asks.
"Just be yourself. I mean that's the Em we all know and love, right girls?" Ryou asks.
"He's absolutely right." Zayra smiles as they group hug.
"Thanks guys." Em said giving them one hug before walking away.
At Sky Pies, Em and Kasey were sitting down enjoying their date.
"I've seen every single episode, some of them twice…okay all of them twice." Kasey admits.
"I can't believe you're a fan of Questica Knightly Mage Detective. Next you're gonna say you're in the—"
"Fan Club? Yes I am." Kasey said causing Em to do a spit take.
"Oh my goblin I am so sorry." Em snorts. "Uh I'll be right back." Em said going to the restroom.
Watching her go Em chuckles at how cute she was acting when suddenly two large crab monsters walked in and nudged Kasey.
"You guys looking for me?" Kasey asks as one growls at him. "Don't be crabby. I know me and my sister owe a lot of gold. Who do you work for? Fat Cat? Borgac the Bugbear?"
"They be working for me." A scary voice said.
Looking in horror, Kasey saw a red birdman with metal wings and pirate clothes walk in. This was Captain Kaos.
"It can't be." Kasey said in shock.
"Kasey Boon all grown up." Kaos smirks.
Acting quick, Kasey drew his sword and attacked but with one flick of Kao's wings and Kasey was knocked into the wall.
"Take him." Kaos orders as the crabs grabbed him.
"Okay I think I got it all out." Em said walking in to see Kasey being taken away. "Hey! Get your pincers off my date!"
Em leaped in and kicked the two crabs freeing Kasey but before she could react Kaos blasts her out of the way.
"Come along Kasey. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of those bildgerats. Especially your sister and that Zarya Moonwolf." Kaos growls at the mention of Zarya's name as the crabs dragged Kasey out.
"No." Em said looking up to see them escaping.
Back at the Mysticon Base, Arkayna and Piper were playing video games while Ryou and Zarya were getting a snack.
"You know seeing Em excited for her date with Kasey got me thinking." Ryou said as Zarya grabbed two cans of soda.
"Oh yeah what?" Zarya asks opening them and handing one to him.
"Maybe we should go on a date. I mean we did just become a couple." Ryou said taking it.
"I like the sound of that. Just don't expect me to put on a dress like Em did. I don't like all that fancy junk." Zarya said as they both took a sip of soda.
"Lucky for you neither do I." Ryou said before letting out a burp.
Smiling Zarya let out an even louder burp. "And that's why I love you." Zarya said.
"Right back at ya." Ryou smiles giving her a kiss on the lips which she happily returns before hugging him.
"How do you think everyone would act when we tell them we're dating?" Zarya asks as Ryou grabbed the chips and dip.
"I bet Em would make us go on a double date with her and Kasey." Ryou said causing them both to shudder.
"Not happening." Zarya said.
"Agreed." Ryou said as they walked back in.
"Hey we got snacks." Zarya said.
"Ooh tasty." Piper said grabbing a bite while still playing.
"Zarya thank goodness you're okay!" Em said running in with a few tatters on her dress.
"Of course I'm okay but Piper is wiping the floor with Arkayna." Zarya points as the game over appeared for Arkayna.
"Ugh this controller is totally cursed." Arkayna groans.
"You sound like Doug." Ryou chuckles before turning to Em. "Whoa what happened to your dress?"
"Did you go spelunking for your first date? Awesome!" Piper smiles.
"No it's—"
"Ooh I know a great dry cleaning spell." Arkayna said.
"Just listen to me. Someone took Kasey and he said he was coming for you and Kitty." Em explains.
"What? Who?" Zarya asks.
"I don't know. He was some big guy with a bird head." Em said causing Zarya's eyes to widen in horror as she dropped her soda and started breathing heavily.
"Zarya are you okay?" Ryou asks never seeing this side of her.
"Who is this guy?" Arkayna asks.
"His name is Captain Kaos. He captured me, Kasey and Kitty from our village when we were little kids and forced us to be Sky Pirates. Eventually, we had enough of the way he treated us and fought back. We fried one of his wings and dumped him on a deserted island. We marooned him there but I always had this feeling it wasn't over." Zarya explained.
Hearing this Ryou growled. "Don't worry, that bird's not gonna get away with this." Tightening his fist, the mark on his hand glowed for a few seconds before disappearing.
"We need to warn Kitty and the Skulls. We gotta save Kasey." Em said.
"That parrot ruffled the wrong feathers. One word: Rotisserie." Piper said as Choko licked his lips grabbing a fork and knife.
"Let's go Mysticons! It's Magic Hour!" Arkayna said as Ryou took out his amulet and they all transformed into their Mysticon forms.
As they raced out of their hideout, they didn't notice the Red Nile watching them.
On the Pink Skulls Ship, Kitty had gotten their message and was preparing everyone.
"All set Captain!" Cherit said landing on Kitty's shoulder.
"Good work Cherit. Ready the cannons, keep your cutlasses sharp and Pink Skulls get ready for the fight of your lives!" Kitty warns.
"Fight of your lives!" Kaos calls out getting their attention.
Turning around they saw a destroyed Ship appear out of the sky next to them with Kaos onboard. "Kitty Boon why don't you come aboard and join your brother?" Kaos gestures to Kasey who was tied to the mast.
"Run Kitty! Get away!" Kasey yells.
"Quiet Boy!" Kaos snaps as he flicks a metal feather at Kasey forcing him to duck.
"Don't you dare touch him!" Em yells blasting Kaos making him flinch.
Growling Kaos looks up to see the Mysticons jump in.
"Nobody attacks me and lives to tell the tale!" Kaos points.
"Shut your beak you mangy bird." Zarya growls firing an arrow at him but Kaos blocks it with his wings.
Squawking Kaos fires his metal feathers at them forcing them to jump back and knocking Zarya overboard.
"I think it's time to show you, costume troublemakers, what happens when cross me. Deal with them, Mindrone!" Kaos said taking out an amulet and along with his giant crabs a titan with one large red eye leaped in.
"Bladecall!" Ryou said holding out his hand and the Willblade appeared.
Rushing in the crabs attacked Arakyna and Em as she summoned her shield and took the attacks allowing Arkayna to blast them away.
"Hyperstride!" Piper said leaping in and wrapping her hoop around one crab before throwing it towards the others.
"Boltflare!" Arkayna yells.
"Raypulse!" Em yells as they blasted the crabs overboard.
Up on the mast, Minedrone fired lasers at Ryou who blocked them all before charging in.
Firing a blast at his feet, Ryou trips and falls.
Using this opening Minedrone leaps in for an attack.
"Back off!" A female voice said.
Looking up they saw Red Nile swing in and kick Minedrone in the face.
"Huh?" Ryou looks up to see Red Nile looking down at him with her metal staff in one hand and her long black hair flowing in the moonlight. "Who are you?" Ryou said in awe.
"A friend." Red Nile smiles helping him up.
"Time has not been kind to you Kaos!" Kitty said flicking her whip at him but Kaos caught it with ease.
"Aye how about a little music to soothe the savage Boon?" Kaos smirks confusing them.
"Kitty?" Cherit asks as Kaos took out a small sack that started to glow.
"Come away oh child. Across starry skies, come away come away." Kaos chants as Kitty and all the Pink Skulls fell under some sort of trance and walked towards him.
"Kitty? Kitty wake up." Cherit said but nothing worked.
Seeing that Kaos was up to something Cherit did the only thing he could think of.
Walking across the bridge, Kaos looks to Cherit and saw he was laying on her shoulder appearing to be motionless.
"What an ugly creature." Kaos said as Kitty waked past him.
"Look who's talking." Cherit mumbles.
As they whacked away the rest of the crabs they looked over.
"Uh what's going on?" Arkayna asks.
Resurfacing from the water, Zarya saw them being taken away. "Kitty!" Firing her arrow Zarya climbs back up. "Don't worry I'm coming!"
"Full speed ahead! Into the darkness!" Kaos orders as his ship flew off into the sky.
"Kitty!" Zarya and Ryou yell in fear.
"What do we do now?" Em asks.
"Also who are you?" Arkayna asks.
"Call me Red Nile. I'm a Huntik Member." She said taking out the symbol.
"How did you find us so fast?" Zarya asks.
"I spotted you guys running off from your base. Good to see you again Ryou." Red Nile said.
"You know who I am?" Ryou said surprised.
"Yes I do, I heard from the others you lost your memories. As much as I would love to catch up and meet your friends we have a ghost ship to catch." Red Nile points.
"Good point." Zarya said running to the wheel. "Piper be on the lookout for that ship."
"Aye aye captain." Piper said grabbing a telescope and leaping up towards the crow's nest.
"Em hoist the mission mast." Zarya orders.
"None of that made any sense to be me but I'll do it." Em said pulling a rope.
"Ryou, take your old friend and Choko and ready the cannons!" Zarya orders.
"On it!" Ryou said as Choko jumped onto his shoulder and they grabbed ammo.
"And Arkayna secure that rigging." Zarya orders.
"On it." Arkayna went to work but ended up messing up and tying herself to the mast by her legs.
"Aargh, I spy an angry Dragon Mage." Piper said.
"She's uh…not very suited for the Pirate's Life." Red Nile cringed.
"No, no she isn't." Em cringed as Ryou climbed up and cut Arkayna free causing her to fall on Em.
"Sorry." Ryou calls out.
"I need my old crew back." Zarya sighs.
"Why did they all abandon the ship anyway?" Em asks.
"I'm not sure. I saw that bird take out a small bag and sing a shanty." Red Nile said.
"It must've been a charm spell." Arkayna said.
"So why weren't we affected?" Ryou asks.
"He must have something to target to others." Red Nile said.
"He does, that bag is full of our stuff that he used to taunt us with." Zarya said.
"But you were underwater." Ryou realized.
"And I wasn't under the spell because I didn't hear the song." Zarya realized.
"No problem. Here use these." Em said taking out some headphones. "Put these on and you'll be safe."
"I don't need your stupid orb phones." Zarya said knocking them out of Em's hands and letting go of the wheel causing them to rock back and forth causing Em to wobble and fall backwards hitting the deck.
"Oh no Em." Zarya said getting the ship back under control.
"She was just trying to help. You didn't need to snap at her." Red Nile said.
"Em I'm sorry. Kaos ruined my life once and I'm freaking out because he's doing it again." Zarya said helping her up.
"No he's not." Em said.
"This time we're here to help." Ryou said.
"I'm not giving up on Kasey and I know you won't give up on Kitty now take these orbphones and let's go find him." Em said handing them to her.
"Thanks Em." Zarya smiles.
"Now if only we knew where to find him." Red Nile said.
"Wait a minute." Ryou pauses before pacing back and forth mumbling to himself.
"Oh yeah." Zarya grins liking where this is going.
"Ryou's in the Tactic Zone." Arkayna smiles.
"The what?" Red Nile asks looking to them.
"Tactic Zone. It's what we call him when he's thinking of a strategy for us." Em smiles.
"And every time his plans work great for us." Piper smiles.
"I got it!" Ryou said turning to them. "Zarya you said you and Kitty dumped Kaos on an island and then he said something about giving the Pink Skulls a taste of their own medicine. He's going to the place you and Kitty swore you would never go back to and getting his revenge there."
"The island." Zarya narrows her eyes at the memory.
In the skies, Kaos was examining the Pink Skulls.
"Aaargh this be the sorriest excuse for a crew I've ever seen." Kaos said taking out his bag. "Roll call. Kasey Boon, Kitty Boon, Zarya Moonwolf? Zarya Moonwolf?" Kaos looks to see Zarya was not among them. "Where be your slippery accomplice?!" Kaos asks getting in Kitty and Cherit's face.
As Cherit stares ahead he noticed the Pink Skulls ship right behind them.
"Wouldn't you like to now." Cherit smirks before firing a beam blasting Kaos in the face making him step backwards in pain.
"You sneaky little—" Before Kaos could finish a cannon was fired hitting his ship dead center.
Turning around he saw the Pink Skulls ship heading towards them. "Those fools be back." Kaos growls.
"Fire!" Zarya said as Ryou and Red Nile load the cannon and Choko lights it causing the cannon to fire, but this time the ghost ship disappeared.
"That is never good." Em gulps as the ship comes up behind them.
"Not it is not!" Kaos squawks.
"Lookout!" Arkayna yells.
Kaos was about to attack when Cherit flies in and scratches Kaos's face. "Aww! Get off of me you flying rodent!" Kaos said throwing Cherit overboard.
"Cherit!" Ryou gasps grabbing a rope and swinging out to catch the little titan before he plummeted.
"You okay little guy?" Ryou asks.
"I tired to help Ryou. I'm sorry." Cherit said.
"Kitty would be proud of you." Ryou smiles.
"Fire!" Kaos tries again as cannons were fired causing the ship to rock.
"Curse you! You rusty old Squack Box!" Zarya yells.
"Wait! There be only one person foolish enough to call me that." Kaos said looking at her. "Your fancy spandex don't fool me. Get her! Bring me Zarya Moonwolf!" Kaos orders as his crab creatures attacked.
"Let's crack some shells!" Arkayna said blasting some away.
"Crab walk the plank!" Em said swinging her sword knocking one overboard.
"Order of crab cakes coming up!" Piper said throwing her hoops knocking two back.
"How about a nice dip? You guys seem really crabby." Ryou asks swinging his sword knocking two overboard.
"Insert crab based puns here." Zarya said one crab grabbed her from behind.
"Hey don't hog all the fun. You guys are so shellfish." Red Nile said as she and Choko dropped a cannonball on the crab holding Zarya.
"Good work matey." Zarya smiles when more crabs came towards her.
"Claws off fellas!" Ryou yells jumping in. "You want her, you're gonna have to go through me!"
Zarya fires her arrows at one while Ryou slashes another. Aiming one arrow she released a rope tying them up before Ryou released a blade of energy knocking them.
"Such disrespect. Just what I need, a male Zarya." Kaos rolls his eyes before taking out a pendant. "I think a nice song will help separate the two of you."
"Oh no!" Ryou gasps.
"Quick! The orb phones! Em yells as Zarya took them out but a crab knocks them into the sea.
"Come away come away child. Across stormy skies come away." Kaos chants causing Zarya to fall under the spell.
"NO!" Ryou yells in horror as the crabs grabbed Zarya and took her away.
"Zarya no!" Piper yells holding up her bracer. "Fly Phoneix Fly!" The phoenix flew out towards them but the ghost ship disappeared with Zarya along with.
"No." Ryou said hanging his head as all of them felt awful.
"I'm sorry about your friend." Red Nile frowns.
"We'll get her back." Em said.
"Yes will." Ryou growls getting their attention. "And when I get my hands on Kaos…I'll kill him." Ryou said in a cold dark voice lifting his head up to reveal glowing red eyes.
"Did Ryou just say kill?" Em gulps as Ryou turns around to reveal his red eyes.
"Uh Ryou I don't like that look in your eyes." Piper whimpers as Choko curled up into a ball in fear.
'Oh no, the power of Necrafa.' Cherit gulps.
"Ryou no! Stop!" A voice roars inside his head causing Ryou to groan.
Closing his eyes Ryou holds his head in pain and when he opens his eyes again, they were back to normal.
"Ugh my head." Ryou groans.
"Ryou a-are you okay?" Arkayna asks.
"Sorry I guess I got a little angry back there." Ryou said.
"I'll say." Em said.
"Look I know Zarya means a lot to you. She saved you like she did with me, but we'll find her." Piper assured when the ship started to shake.
"But first we need to get this ship under control!" Red Nile said.
Above the island, Kaos once again gazed upon his crew.
"Zarya, Zarya, Zarya. Together again, at last." Kaos grins.
"But however did you escape the island we marooned you on? Kaos asks mimicking Zarya's voice.
"Good question. For three years, I wasted away on that island. Me every attempt to escape failed. Then I discovered the ruins, dark and diabolical they were. As I gasped me last breath I begged to the ruins for vengeance and some kind of dark magic heard me. When it gave me life I promised an entire ship of souls in exchange for mine. And here we are Zarya, all your souls for mine." Kaos smiles.
On the ship, Arkayna was struggling to keep the ship under control as it sailed at a dangerous speed.
"I'm starting to think I'm not very good at flying Sky Ships!" Arkayna yells.
"Ya think!" Red Nile yells when Arkayna dives down and the speed caused Piper to fly off.
"Elf overboard!" Em yells when Ryou grabs her arm.
"I got ya Piper!" Ryou yells.
"Don't let go!" Piper begs as Choko and Cherit grab Ryou's leg and he pulls her back onto the ship.
"Pull up! Pull up!" Arkayna said working the controls causing the ship to pull up just before hitting the water. "I take it back, I am awesome at flying Sky Ships."
"Ugh." Looking down she saw Ryou, Piper, Em, Choko, Cherit and Red Nile laying on the deck groaning.
"No, no you are not." Ryou groans trying to keep his dinner down when Piper makes a gagging noise.
"Excuse me!" Piper yells running to the edge to puke.
"Hang on Kasey, we're coming." Em said standing up.
At the ruins of the island, Kaos had all of them lined up.
"Shame we have to part so soon, but I have a life of plundering to return to and the island be expecting its soul." Kaos said turning to the ruins when Zarya reaches to her ears revealing she had earbuds playing Orc Bash music.
"Thank you Orc Bash. Way better than Orbphones." Zarya said before turning to Kitty and started to nudge her. "Kitty, Kitty?"
"Ugh what happened?" Kitty asks snapping out of the trance.
Looking to Zarya she gestured to get the others.
"Shrine of darkness in this hour, I call upon your ancient power. Come forth from the depths. Arise, arise! And claim these souls as your prize!" Kaos declares, but when he turned around he saw everyone making their escape. "After them!" Kaos snaps.
"Climb!" Zarya said as they climbed as fast as they could out of the ruins.
"These ruins be looking for souls, but it's not getting mine!" Kaos yells flying to his ship as the bottom of the ruins opened up revealing a red portal.
"Hurry!" Zarya said.
"Ye've meddled for the last time Zarya Moonwolf!" Kaos yells when suddenly he was attacked.
Looking up he saw the Pink Skulls ship fly down towards them.
"All aboard." Arakyna said causing all of them to cheer as they made their escape.
"Kitty!" Cherit smiles flying onto Kitty's shoulder.
"Good to see you're okay Cherit." Kitty smiles.
"You should have seen him Kitty, that little guy blasted Kaos right in the face to try and save you guys." Ryou points causing the Sky Pirates to look at the little titan.
"Well aren't you a brave one." Kasey said.
"Crew has to stick together." Cherit smiles.
"It's all yours Captain Boon." Arkayna gestures to the helm.
"Thanks you wanna stay at the helm?" Kitty asks.
"NO!" Ryou, Piper, Em, Red Nile and Cherit yell almost immediately.
"Thanks guys, that means a lot." Arkayna said sarcastically as Kitty took the wheel and they flew off.
"Are you okay?" Em asks looking to Kasey.
"I am now." He smiles.
"Save it for later, something is happening down there!" Piper points to see giant tentacles coming out of the ruins and grabbing Kaos's ship.
"Defend the ship!" Kaos said flying off as the tentacles attacked both ships
"Time to bring in the big guns! Prepare for battle, Freelancer!" Arkayna said calling out her warrior titan.
"Rip them apart, Fenris!" Zarya said calling out her wolf titan.
"Defend, Iron Squire!" Em said calling out her large shielded warrior.
"Show them what you got, Dendras!" Piper said calling out her new puppet wielding titan.
Grabbing three tentacles Fenris holds them down as Freelaner slashes them destroying them.
Firng blasts of fire and ice, Dendras released all the captured Pink Skulls while Iron Squire blocked everyone from being attacked again.
"Time to abandon ship." Kaos said flying up and grabbing onto the Pink Skulls ship.
"We need to cut her free!" Kitty said.
"Unleash the Dragon!" Arkayna said.
"Battle Unicorn Charge!" Em said.
"Time to Howl!" Zarya said as the wolf, dragon and unicorn charged allowing them to break free and sail off.
"Ah yeah! We did it!" Kitty said.
"We're free! We're free!" Piper cheers.
Zarya smiles softly when suddenly Kaos flies in and knocks her to the ground.
"Ye'll never be free! The island must have its soul!" Kaos roars.
Ryou looks up in horror to see Kaos grab Zarya about to throw her overboard. Anger and rage filled him up as his mark started to glow.
"HEY BIRDBRAIN!" Kaos turns around to see Ryou kick him in the face knocking him to the edge of the ship. "Get your mangy talons off MY GIRLFRIEND!" Ryou declares shocking everyone.
"Ryou." Em starts.
"And Zarya?" Arkayna adds.
"Are a couple?!" Piper, Red Nile and Kitty said in shock.
Zarya smiles at this before Ryou charged in and tackles Kaos off the ship.
"Ryou!" Everyone gasps as they ran to the edge of the ship to see Kaos and Ryou plummet.
"The sky be my domain boy!" Kaos yells breaking free.
"Kipperin!" Ryou said as his winged titan appeared allowing him to fly after him.
As Kaos fires metal feathers at Ryou he swings the Willblade deflecting them.
"The only soul that's gonna be taken is your soul!" Ryou said as his eyes glowed bright red scaring Kaos to the core.
"Wha What are you?" Kaos gasps.
"Your worst nightmare!" Ryou yells flying in fast ramming into Kaos knocking him to the ground.
Groaning Kaos looks up to see Ryou divebomb and slam him deep her into the ground causing Kaos to scream in pain.
"Time to pay for all your horrible deeds!" Ryou said bringing his sword high into the sky.
Acting quick Kaos uses his metal wings as shields to absorb the blows but Ryou kept bashing his sword down on him forcing him back towards the ruins and laughing manically while doing it.
"Bye bye birdie!" Ryou said slamming the sword down one more time completely shattering Kaos' wings making him scream in pain.
"What can you see?" Zarya asks as Kitty looks through her spyglass.
"By the seven skies Ryou is beating Kaos all the way to the ruins." Kitty said causing everyone to cheer.
"He deserves everything punch Ryou gives him!" Kasey said.
"Get him Ryou!" Piper cheers along with Choko.
"Ryou." Zarya said when Arkayna nudges her.
"So girlfriend huh?" Arkayna smirks causing Zarya to blush.
"When were you gonna tell us?" Em asks.
"Uh well." Zarya said nervously.
"Hey where's the Red Nile?" Piper asks looking around to see she was gone.
Down below, Kaos panted heavily as he struggled to get up.
"What's a matter birdie? Scared of little old me?" Ryou smirks.
"Ryou stop!" The mysterious voice echoed in the back of his head again causing him to pause.
"Hardly. I think it's time I showed you how I took those little brats from their home." Kaos growls taking out an amulet from his jacket. "Arise, Gar-Ghoul!" Appearing behind him was a large stone gargoyle with wings.
Letting out a roar, Zarya and Pink Skulls gasped in horror seeing the very monster that took them from their home.
"Destroy him!" Kaos orders as Gar-Ghoul flew towards him and fires a giant blast of water sending Ryou flying backwards.
When Ryou slammed against a rock banging his head against it him to groan as his eyes returned to normal. "Ugh what happened?"
Looking up Ryou saw the giant titan glaring him down with Kaos grinning at him.
"Now who's the scared one?" Kaos smirks.
Gar-Ghoul roars firing a blast of water at him.
"Ryou!" Running in Red Nile yanks Ryou behind a large boulder as the water sprayed the rock while they were safe.
"I owe you one." Ryou said.
"You can thank me later. After we send that stupid thing packing." Red Nile declared.
"Sounds good to me. Come on out Raijin the Thunderbolt!" Ryou said summoning his electric titan.
"Prepare for battle, Storm Gladiator!" Red Nile said taking out an amulet and from it a ghostly warrior whose blue aura equipped a blue armor to it as it held a spear in one hand and a trident in the other hand.
As Gar-Ghoul flew in Raijin flies out of the way and fires bolts of lightning making Gar-Ghoul cringed before Storm Gladiator slams its trident into it knocking Gar-Ghoul back.
"Whoa, where'd you get a titan like that?" Ryou asks looking at her.
"Easy. You." She smiles bobbing him on the nose.
Letting out a roar Kaos grabs his broken off wing and leaps in using it as a sword.
Jumping out of the way, Ryou and Red Nile draw their weapons and clash.
Nearby Gar Ghoul spread his wings and flew knocking Raijin out of the air.
As he crashed down Storm Gladiator charged forward but Gar-Ghoul released a powerful blast of water knocking it back and flooding the area around it.
Looking over Red Nile saw all the water by Gar-Ghoul's feet.
"Ryou!" Red Nile yells getting his attention.
Looking over Ryou saw this and grins.
"Hey Kaos. Remember this?" Ryou asks as Raijin fires lighting at Gar-Ghoul's feet causing it to get electrocuted by the water causing it to roar.
Using this opening Raijin and Storm Gladiator thrust their sword and spear impaling Gar-Ghoul through the chest forcing it to return to the amulet.
"No!" Kaos gasps before whacking Ryou to the ground.
Moving in Red Nile whacks Kaos in the face causing him to drop Gar-Ghoul's amulet. "Give up Kaos, you've lost."
"Never!" Kaos snaps as Red Nile attacks again but he grabs her staff and punches her in the chest sending her crashing into a tree.
"I am meant to rule the skies forever! I will have my revenge!" Kaos roars turning to Ryou.
Walking towards him Kaos grabs Ryou by the neck. "Starting with you." Kaos said choking Ryou causing him to gasp before lifting Ryou into the air causing him to struggle.
"Ryou!" Kitty gasps.
"He's gonna kill him!" Arkayna yells.
"Let this be a lesson to you all! You will never escape me!" Kaos roars looking up to the Pink Skulls ship. "I will hunt you down until all of your souls are paid!"
Hearing this Ryou holds out his hand. "D-Dragonfist." Ryou chokes as his hand glowed orange.
"Huh?" Kaos turns to see Ryou punch him in the face knocking him back towards the edge of the ruins.
Coughing Ryou caught his breath before glaring at Kaos.
"No…the only soul being paid is yours! You will never hurt anyone ever again because you're going back where you belong! Raypulse!" Ryou declares blasting Kaos off the ledge and into the pit sacrificing the bird brain instead.
"He did it!" Kasey cheers along with all the Pink Skulls.
"Ryou! Ryou! Ryou!" Piper cheers.
"Ryou." Zarya smiles touched beyond words.
As Ryou walks back, Red Nile picks up Gar-Ghoul's amulet.
"To the victor go the spoils." Red Nile said holding it out for him to take.
"I may not know or remember who you are, but I know one thing for sure. I'm really glad you're here right now." Ryou smiles.
"Right back at ya." Red Nile smiles when she gave Ryou the amulet their hands touched causing faint blush to appear on her face.
Soon Ryou was back on the ship as the Pink Skulls flew away.
Setting up a small table, Em and Kasey sat down for a redo of their date.
"Get these two lovebirds a table." Arkayna said as Choko and Cherit put a pizza down for them.
"Now where were we? Oh right favorite Questica episode." Em said.
"Definitely Curse of the Haunted Castle." Kasey said as Em kissed him on the lips.
"Case of the Jealous Giant." Em said as Kasey dropped his pizza slice in shock.
"Those two make a good couple." Ryou said sitting down before thinking about what Rosa said when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
Turning around he ended being met with a kiss from Zarya.
"Any reason?" Ryou asks surprised.
"Well your declaration back there was pretty amazing. Get your hands off my girlfriend." Zarya smiles causing Ryou to blush.
"Oh uh yeah." Ryou said nervously.
"Boy Zarya you really got a keeper." Cherit said.
"Yeah she sure did." Kitty mumbles as she, Piper and even the Red Nile looked at them with envy but little did they know Zarya noticed.
"My nightmare is finally over, thanks to you." Zarya smiles hugging him.
'But my nightmares aren't. What was that power back on the island?' Ryou thought.
Back on the island, the ruins started to glow as all the carvings lit up leading to one hidden in the center of it. The mark of the Spectral Hand.
Walking below deck, Ryou held his head.
"Boy this was a wild night." Ryou said.
"Yes it was, you almost lost control. Twice." A voice said.
"Huh?" Ryou said when a light shined from his Willblade and the spirit of Rosa Leafdancer appeared in front of him. "Rosa?"
"Ryou your anger is making you fall deeper and deeper into the Dragon of Destruction. You need to control them." Rosa said.
"Control them? But I don't even want them." Ryou said.
"Because you're scared of it?" Rosa guesses.
"Yes, what if the next time it takes control of me no one is around to snap me out of it? What if I become the Dragon of Destruction?" Ryou asks.
"Sadly I don't have the answers. I was the unexpected Mysticon not the smart one…but maybe one of the others knows." Rosa said getting an idea.
"Rosa what are you talking about?" Ryou asks.
"We need the Mysticons." Rosa said.
"Okay uh sure I'll go get my friends." Ryou said pointing outside.
"Not them, they can't help you with this one." Rosas said.
"But you said the Mysticons, these are the only ones." Ryou said confused.
"Tell me Ryou, what am I then?" Rosa smirks causing Ryou's eyes to widen.
"No, you don't mean." Ryou gasps.
"That's right, we're getting the original Mysticons back together for one last mission." Rosa declares.
