AN: Sorry today's chapter is so short, but there wasn't a lot of time for me to write today, and I didn't want to start the cavalry battle and then have to stop in the middle of it due to time. I should be able to write longer if not tomorrow, then Tuesday, but hopefully I'll be able to finish the cavalry battle within those next one to two chapters. Thanks for reading!
Izuku looked around for whoever he could have in his group, since he needed at least one other person to be able to participate. Luckily for him, he quickly found Momo, who seemed to be surrounded by people who had seen her quirk's power in the last event.
"Hey Momo, do you mind being on my team?"
She seemed grateful for an excuse to break from the crowd, and pushed her way to his side.
"Not at all, it'd be my pleasure!"
They approached the second and final part of Izuku's plan, Iida.
"Hey Iida, do you want to join our team? I have some good plans if you'd like to.
"Sadly Midoriya, I believe that I would merely be overshadowed by you if I joined your team."
"Iida, I plan on being a horse as well during this event, and I'm probably the only one in this group who can match your speed. Are you sure you want to limit yourself by trying to carry an entire group, or being in a two-person group and all the problems that will cause?"
Iida thought about this for a moment before relenting. "In that case, I'd be glad to join you as one of the horses."
"Wait, you're going to be one of the horses? Then who's going to be the rider?" Momo asked, not realizing that Izuku wasn't going to be the one on top of the group.
"Well, you, of course! I don't have a lot of long-range attacks that I could use from the top anyways, at least not without hurting you two, and like I said, I'm able to keep up with Iida, which will give our team a lot of mobility."
"Okay, are we going to add a third horse to the team?"
"Also no, they'd just limit our mobility further unless they were as fast as Iida and I, and I don't know anybody who fits that bill."
Satisfied, the three of them went to the registration stand and got a headband for their team, with 10,000,315 written on the front in bright red. As Momo put the headband on, Izuku unsheathed Kuromu and willed the blade to become a pole, unable to cut anything, before holding the hilt out to Momo.
"Would you mind using this during the cavalry battle? You seem to know how to use it we'll, and I can't use it with my left hand easily, and I'd also like to see how it works when you're using it, it seemed to do something odd last time you used it. Is that okay?"
"Sure, Izuku, I don't mind." After strapping the sheathe to her back so she could stop using it in favor of other weapons if she needed to, Izuku and Iida lifted her up onto their shoulders, holding her legs to keep her from falling off.
"LET THE CAVALRY BATTLE... BEGIN!"
