-end of AN-
"Valentin, you've got a visitor!" The guard calls out to the man behind the bars as he uses his keys to open up the gated area for visitors.
Who would visit him? His lawyer? Maybe. Who he wanted to see was still even after all this time Nina. Damn that Jax. He was the obstacle in his way.
Instead of any of those he found himself face to face with Franco Baldwin.
"Franco?" He said confused and tense, their last in counter way less than ideal.
"Valentin." Franco replied matching his tone but with less question. He knew why he was here and he was gonna get what he came for.
"I have no interest in wasting my time talking to you." Valentin scoffed at him.
"Well too bad."
He stared at him pointedly. "Why, you wanna assault me again?"
Franco lets out a laugh in the irony and his anger. "Coming from you? I recall before I even touched you you were stabbing Ava."
"I didn't touch that Bitch!" He screeches back in his defense.
"Lies!" Franco replies. "And don't you dare call her that after what you did. But of course you can't call her what she is, it hurts you too much to know you lost. She's the lady of Wyndamere while you'll be the loser of Pentonville."
"She won't have that title long if she doesn't make it." He points out.
Franco ignores this jab, pleasantly surprised he was getting under his skin.
"She's Princess Ava Cassadine and you aren't even a Cassadine!" He laughed pushing Valentin Further. "Helena's bastard son who she didn't even like let alone love."
"You son of a bitch!" Valentin spit his face red from his anger.
"Admit it Val!" Franco yelled back, finally going after what he wanted most. "Admit you tried to kill Ava!"
Val remained silent at this, fuming as he just stared at Franco.
"Come on! Admit you did it! You mighta been able to if you were actually a Cassadine and not some nobody!"
Val shook his head clenching his teeth, he grew angrier. "I didn't try to kill her, I didn't even touch her!"
"You hate her! And i'm supposed to believe with everything I saw you didn't do it?!" he replied incredulously.
"I do hate her, and her smug little husband." He said his tone back to normal but his face showing he was still not over whatever things Franco brought up. "The best part is that whoever did do this is still out there since everyone's too focused on me, and they just might get her for good this time."
"Is that a threat? Did you pay someone to finish the job for you and take the spotlight off of you?" Franco challenged stepping closer to the bars, getting in his face.
"Oh no, I didn't do anything." Val says smiling despite his rage, happy to get back at the man who started it all. "I just hope nobody else gets hurt if-no, when they go after Ava again. I mean sometimes other people get in the way and get killed. There's a whole hospital of people to get targeted too, better keep your wife safe."
That tore it. Nobody talks about his wife let alone threatens her, and Val was clearly threatening her. He reached through the bar and grabbed at Valentin's shirt pulling his up against the bar.
"You shut your face," he seethed. "You think your so smart and so slick but I will get to you if you try anything against anyone I care about, especially my wife. I will find you and I will make you pay. I don't care where, I can get to you, so watch yourself and back the hell off."
"Guard!" Val called out though it sounded choked as his collar was choking him a bit and his face was pressed against the hard bars of the cell.
The guard saw and immediately reopened the gate and grabbed Franco who clearly broke protocol by physically attacking Valentin. The guard grabbed Franco and began to escort him out.
"Do everyone a favor and confess, we already know it's you!" Franco called out as he was forced out.
"Fun talking with you!" Val calls out sarcastically as he fixes his shirt.
Franco is escorted out and find himself in the hallway of the police station when the guard leaves his side mumbling a "Don't come back."
He supposes he was lucky to get off with just a warning and a restriction. As he goes to walk out the door he passes the interrogation room which was currently occupied with the commissioner and Detective Chase. He couldn't help his curious side and leaned closer. He was probably pushing his luck but he couldn't help himself.
"Nothing, Chase?" Jordan asks stunned. "Nobody was able to find anything inside the entire castle?"
"It's a huge castle so it's been slow but no, nothing that looks like the weapon." Chase explains. "We took the kitchen knives as a precaution but we already knew most of them were probably not the exact size and had them looked over, no finger prints of blood or DNA at all."
Jordan sighs, putting her head down as her hand runs through her hair.
"No other knives are on the property. We even searched the Tunnels. The team is trying to look outside and are scanning all of spoon island but if the property is huge and theres tons of water for things to be discarded in." Chase continues.
"If we come up empty handed after searching the premises maybe we authorize a dive. I know mayor collins wants this case to be full proof and I agree, Valentin has caused this town enough trouble."
Damn, Franco thought. He wanted this case to be solid as well and weapons while not fully needed are an important part of it all. He wasn't sure they could nail him with witness statements. Liz was an upstanding citizen of course but Franco and Nik wouldn't be the best witnesses.
"Commissioner!" Another guard said interrupting the exchange between her and Chase.
She looked at him giving him a look telling him to share whatever message he was here to give her.
"They were able to find what appears to be the weapon on Spoon Island." he shared.
Franco let out a sigh of relief at this before catching himself worried they'd heard him, but they were too distracted.
"Can I see it?" She inquires.
"Uh, that's the other thing." He says cautiously. "The dagger was found in another body. Someone else was murdered."
