Chapter 25

One month later

"So Castle did it. He sold the loft and bought that place out on Staten Island?" Kate questioned Alexis one morning.

"That's what his text says. So long as it makes him happy, I'm happy. He's even still dating Sam. Maybe getting rid of Gina was just what he needed." Alexis could pray that was all it took.

"I don't know, Lex. That many years of being a playboy and doing what he did...it's hard to just up and suddenly change. Still I hope you're right." If he somehow screwed it all up it was going to hurt Alexis and for that alone Kate would never forgive him.

Kate put on her shoes as Alexis finished with her uniform and picked up her belt that was filled with everything a police officer needed. It also added weight to them.

Alexis checked her weapon and decided it was going to need cleaning soon and put it back in her holster. "Any plans for tonight? We could maybe go out on a real date. You know dinner and a movie," Kate suggested. "I'm off tomorrow so I'll have to just drop you off for your shift."

That was one thing they had trouble with: getting their days off to match.

"That would be nice. Then maybe I can tie you to the bed and do evil things to your body," Alexis teased her.

Kate instantly felt most of her blood go south with just the anticipation of Alexis doing that. It also had her mind remembering the last time.

Sex with Alexis had always been amazing. Last night was even more so. Alexis had said she was going to tie her to the bed and do evil things to her body. Kate had felt her heart skip a beat then speed up.

Kate had watched as Alexis used the straps to tie her wrists and ankles in place that left her naked and spread eagle on their bed. God she couldn't wait to see what Alexis was going to do to her. She was already soaking wet in anticipation.

The next morning Kate woke up and found Alexis gone. It didn't happen often. The only way either of them were truly comfortable and could get any sleep was holding the other and being held all night long. With lips just a few short inches apart. All that skin pressed up against skin. She was betting Alexis was downstairs working on breakfast.

So Kate got out of bed and went into the bathroom and stopped dead in her tracks. There were marks all over her body. Nothing permanent and none of them actually hurt, but she was a mess. Touching each one had her mind reminding her how she had gotten each one of them.

Kate didn't even notice the tears when suddenly Alexis was right behind her grinning. "I marked you good." She was proud of herself.

Then she noticed Kate crying and wrapped her arms around her. "Did I hurt you? I didn't mean to. I'll never do it again." She would throw the straps in the trash and never do what she had done again.

Kate shook her head. She had no pain at all. In fact she felt great. "I love you." Kate thought her heart was open the last time she knew she loved Alexis more than her own life. This was another one of those moments. For Alexis at least she had no walls. Alexis was in and Kate had made sure she was wrapped around her heart or her heart was wrapped around her. Either way she was so deeply in love that it was making her cry.

"So we can keep the straps and we can do this again?" Alexis wanted to make sure.

Kate spun around and put her arms around her. "I'm yours, mark my body in any way that pleases you." Kate kissed her with all the passion that she was feeling.

Their little warm spell was long since over and now a Canadian blast was gripping the city with its iron grip. Still Kate put on panties, bra, and a long t-shirt and some fuzzy socks and went downstairs in search of Alexis.

She found her right where she thought she would be. In the kitchen…making pancakes. "Hi!" Kate kissed her cheek, goosed her, and got a squeal out of her.

"Someone's feeling frisky. Apparently I should tie you to the bed and do evil things to your body more often." Alexis smiled, turned, and kissed her. "Give me two minutes and breakfast will be ready."

Kate went around and sat at the breakfast bar, not surprised that Alexis was wearing exactly what she was wearing. She also wasn't surprised that their bodies had adjusted to each other. Their periods even now matched.

"Here's yours." Alexis put a plate in front of Kate. "We're all out of bacon and sausage now. Almost out of eggs and we're down to two slices of bread," Alexis informed her. They definitely needed to go grocery shopping.

Kate took one pancake, one piece of sausage, and two pieces of bacon. One egg over easy and one piece of toast followed by a small half-filled glass of orange juice.

"That's the end of the orange juice, too, and the milk and almost the butter. We have no chicken stock or chicken broth or cream of anything, either," Alexis told her.

"We can get dressed and go shopping after we eat. Maybe find a produce stand somewhere. Don't forget this is date night," Kate reminded her.

"I haven't forgotten. Gives me an excuse to wear that dress again. Just so long as we don't go anywhere near that club next to Columbia." Alexis still hated that place. Granted it had gotten her close to Kate, but what she had had to go through to get to that point wasn't something she wanted to remember.

"I would never make you go anywhere near that place again. Unless it was in uniform with your weapon and Ray and other officers at your side. Or me, for that matter." Kate was more than willing to bang some heads to defend Alexis's honor.

"You really don't mind that Lanie, Ann, Eva, and Roz are coming with us this time?" Kate wanted to make sure. The deal was that they go out on a real date once a week. Only this time Kate was inviting some friends to come along.

"No, they all know about us. It'll be a girls night out. It'll be fun, unlike my last girls night out. And I get to tell guys that try to hit on me to piss off!" Alexis would never dream of doing that all alone. But with two NYPD detectives, an NYPD officer, Kate and an ME to support her, she had no fear.

Both were looking at the other and thinking she was the most beautiful woman and sexiest woman she had ever met. "The others are going to meet us there so I guess we should get going," Kate said but didn't move. Part of her wanted to take that dress off of her and make love to her. But that could come later tonight when Alexis was going to tie her to the bed and do evil things to her body again.

"Girlfriend." Lanie hugged Kate. "Hi, sweetie." Lanie hugged Alexis. "Though as grown up as you are maybe I need a new word for you." Alexis definitely didn't look like the teenager that had worked with her that one time any longer.

"I don't mind. Dad still calls me pumpkin." Alexis shrugged.

"So what does Kate call you?" Lanie grinned wide.

"Okay, enough hugs." Kate captured Alexis into her arms and held her. Then everyone else showed up and each of them grinned as they catch Alexis in Kate's arms.

Ann and Roz had picked this place instead of Lanie since the last time she had chosen a place hadn't turned out so well. There was a restaurant on the ground floor and a bar with a dance floor on the second floor. The roof had cabanas for private parties.

They started out on the ground floor to eat dinner as a group.

There was just something about Kate needing to use the ladies room that had Lanie, Ann and Roz going with her.

"So how are you and Kay Cappacinnio coming along?" Alexis had money on this so she wanted to know.

"I'll answer that with a question of my own. How is the sex with Kate?" Eva asked her.

"Amazing! I can't keep my hands off of her. I plan on doing evil things to her body later tonight." Alexis was being honest.

"That's the kind of sex Kay and I had been having. Some of the best sex I've ever had. …But we broke up," Eva told her.

"What! …Why?" She had just lost five bucks but that was nothing. Eva had broken up with Kay.

"Kay has people watching out for her because of her image. Her image isn't just physical, it encompasses other things as well. They do their best to keep her out of trouble. For all her beauty and sexuality…" Eva sighed. "She's as dumb as a rock. I didn't ask but I don't think she even finished high school. Sex isn't everything, Alexis."

This was a shock to Alexis. She didn't look that stupid, but it was another don't judge a book by its cover. "I'm so sorry, Eva." Alexis reached for a hand. "There has to be someone somewhere for you."

"I'll survive and it was fun while it lasted. I've already been warned not to let Lanie hook me up with a blind date." Eva smiled and Alexis laughed.

Dinner was followed by coffee then they agreed it was time to go upstairs and find out what it was like.

Kate and Alexis didn't care what others thought and went straight onto the dance floor and danced for several dances. The last two had been slower so they were holding each other and took turns who was in the lead.

"They look good together." Ann liked what she was seeing as Kate and Alexis dance.

"Is everyone in at least one of the pools?" Lanie asked since she had started two of them.

"I have ten bucks that Alexis proposes first," Ann said.

"Same here," Roz nodded.

"You don't think Kate will ask first?" Eva asked the group.

Each of the three shook their heads. "Kate's too stubborn and she fears what everyone would say if she married Alexis. Dating, living, and having sex is one thing. Being committed to each other through marriage is another.

"Thankfully Kate loves Alexis a lot so my money is on that she says yes after Alexis proposes," Lanie explained.

Kate and Alexis joined the others. "You two looked great!" Lanie gushed.

"Kate, try not to look but twist about 90 degrees and take a quick peek," Eva said.

Kate laughed and put a hand on Lanie. She took a quick look and then looked at Eva. "I'll be damned." Kate saw more than one of them. "Ann take Alexis to one side, walk to the restroom, and call for backup. Lots of backup. At least six cruisers. …You better go with them, Lanie, you're not armed." Kate knew she was and was betting Eva and Roz were as well since they were detectives and not off duty officers.

"That bad?" Lanie asked Kate.

"Very! Now go join Ann and Alexis nice and slowly and don't look behind you." Lanie left and did what she was told.

Kate picked up her purse, took out some cash, and put it on the counter like she was buying a drink. She also took out her back-up weapon that was a 38-special and kept it close to her body.

Kate moved a little so that her body would block the view of Roz and Eva getting their weapons ready. "When the first of our back-up arrives we move nice and slowly toward that far emergency exit. They spot the uniforms and they'll either bolt or try for hostages."

Eva pointed out a potential problem. "None of us are going to have vests."

"We use that emergency exit if we have to then we go through hostage negotiations," Kate said since it was about all she had.

"I have another idea." Eva opened her top a little more and exposed even more cleavage. "All men have a weakness. The second that uniform shows up we walk toward them with smiles on our faces. Get in nice and close.

"We're unarmed sluts that recognize a group of Alpha males and we're looking for a good time."

"Less likely that someone gets shot by accident. We're in nice and close." Roz put her weapon back in her purse but kept her purse open as did Eva.

"Fine." Kate did the same. It did sound like fewer people would get hurt from this.

Kate looked for Alexis and found her, Ann, and Lanie. Then she saw Alexis hold up two fingers for a short time. "Two minutes. We move in one." Kate did her best to try and put on her I'm here to have fun and get laid face and tried to remember to swing her hips and look sexy and slutty.

Kate saw Ann hide behind Lanie then Alexis held up one finger. "Let's move, ladies."

Suddenly three of the best looking women in this place walked toward them. They were smiling, showing tits, and swinging their hips while holding onto their little purses.

They had been both glad and upset that the other three had left and hadn't come back yet. Two women per guy sounded like a lot of fun to them. However, these three might be fun.

"Ladies." The three of them met these three and since they had already decided on who got whom they broke off to one of them per slut.

"You've been watching us," Kate purred. She ran a hand down his arm and to her purse and into her purse.

"We couldn't resist any longer." Eva smiled wide and reached into the purse that was behind her back.

"Drinks, guys?" Roz asked and reached into her purse when each of the three looked for the closest waiter or waitress to order drinks.

Just then in came two uniformed officers with their weapons out, followed immediately by two more. That was their signal and out came weapons and pressed into either a side or back of these three.

"NYPD! Don't even think of it," Kate warned them as hers started to reach.

The other two got weapons shoved a little harder into their sides.

"That went well." Roz was happy. No shots fired and three wanted criminals had been captured and were in the back of police cruisers to be taken for booking and held in holding for now.

"Just keep holding that thought. Because now all of us have to go into the Precinct and fill out paperwork for this little event," Kate reminded all of them and heard five well dressed sexy looking women moan.

"All done." Alexis delivered her paperwork first and placed it on Kate's desk.

Kate was still writing up her own. "Trying to prove why you were first in your class again?"

"I can't help it. It's in my nature," Alexis smiled and defended herself.

"In that case go help Roz and when she's done she can go get us two six packs of beer since our outing was cut short. You have to be 21 to legally buy alcohol around here," Kate reminded her.

"How about I let Roz finish by herself and go get some subs for us and she can go get the beer when she's done," Alexis countered.

"Deal." Kate wouldn't mind having something to eat.

Alexis leaned across her desk to get closer. At first Kate thought she was gong to kiss her so she got her lips ready to kiss her back. Instead… "I'm still tying you to the bed tonight and doing evil things to your body." Alexis smiled at the look she got from Kate and left her office.

"Write faster, Katie, write a whole lot faster," Kate muttered to herself.

It was quiet and Alexis had bought two platters of little subs for the entire floor while Roz had gotten three six packs of beer for everyone. It was the night shift and now the entire Homicide floor was sitting around talking about tonight while eating and drinking.

"Next time we get to go with you. You people have all the fun," one of the night shift people complained since he had missed out on everything.

"Right after you have a sex change," Eva responded and everyone began laughing since this had been a girls night out and men hadn't been invited.

"So who's next on picking a site for girls night out?" Alexis asked even if the previous two had been a disaster. "I don't get a reason to wear this dress all that often."

"Mine, right after I can talk my boyfriend into it after this one. We keep this up and he's going to want to talk me out of being an officer." Ann laughed a little since she was still hoping to be a detective one day.

"Just so long as Lanie doesn't offer you any suggestions." Kate tried to keep a straight face since she was teasing.

"Ha ha, Kate." Lanie wasn't amused and glared at her.

"Well I still have plans so I'll see all of you tomorrow. Make sure all of this makes it into the trash bin out back. I don't need the other divisions getting the idea that I'm soft and easy so they can start buying and drinking beer while on duty." Kate was willing to bend the rules from time to time but there was a line that couldn't be crossed.

"Thank you, Captain." Everyone at least on this floor was very happy she was the captain. Her being captain was so much better than having Gates as captain.

The second she and Alexis were in the elevator to go down and go home Kate wrapped her arms around Alexis and kissed her soundly until the elevator doors opened. Kate was so ready for Alexis to do evil things to her body. She wanted Alexis to mark her body from sex.
