Scourge saw who was approaching and tried to redirect Honest's vision so that she wouldn't see her, too, by holding a hand up to prevent her turning around. However, it was too late as the unwanted visitor immediately spoke, making Honest turn sharply in her direction.

"What are you two doing in here?"

Honest's expression immediately brightened. "Fiona! I was wondering when you'd make your appearance!"

Honest stood up, her phone still in her hand. Scourge turned red and spun the opposite way, still sitting on the carpet flooring.

"And at the perfect moment, too, I see."

In case you don't know what Fiona looks like, she's a fox like Tails, but is red and has short, red hair. She stood before them now wearing what looked like the normal clay-brown school uniform with a blue ribbon poorly tied and hanging from its collar that every female character at this school should be assumed to be wearing, and also her normal black and steel boots from the comics. On the top of her head, resting somewhat off to the left (her right), sat an orange hair bow.

"I was hoping we could start out on a happier note," she said, sighing. "Scourge, can I please ask what you're doing sitting in the library alone with the author of this story?"

"Talking," he replied sternly, looking the complete opposite way.

Honest looked at him in a confused manner. "Yes, we were discussing the future of {w/Rosy}."

Fiona rolled her eyes. "Oh, yeah. Why is this story named after that psychotic hedgehog anyway?"

She didn't know? "Because I'm in the process of helping her."

When Fiona looked to have stopped breathing, Honest was worried for her. Scourge stood up.

"Is she okay?" Honest asked him.

He was looking down at the ground. "She doesn't like Rosy."

"No, I don't 'not' like her," Fiona said, looking down at the ground as well. There must've been an interesting bug down there or something. "I just don't see the point in worrying how she feels. Why worry what happens to her? She's broken enough as it is."

Honest made a face that said "I see". Then she said, "I guess that's where we differ. You don't see Silver ever mourning Blaze, do you? Just because Rosy's mind was utterly destroyed in the comics doesn't mean that as a character she is as good as dead."

Fiona looked at her as if she had just said something appalling. "What are you even saying?"

She turned to Scourge whom had his sunglasses covering his eyes, preventing her from being sure he was listening to her and not just sleeping standing up.

"I can't even begin to understand that stuff. Honest doesn't speak like that all the time, does she?" she asked.

"Not all the time," Scourge said somewhat quietly. "I'm sure she'd try to cut down on it if you asked her to."

Fiona looked at Honest. "Can you try not to talk all fourth dimension-like when I'm around?"

"Sure," Honest said, holding her hand out as if to shake with her. Fiona walked over and shook it. Obviously a handshake meant a lot to the fox because she shook it seriously.

Then there was more silence. This one wasn't as awkward as the silence Honest had shared with Scourge a few moments ago. But then again, it wasn't just her and Scourge now, so it wasn't as scary. Not saying that I'm scared of Scourge or anything, but he is Scourge after all, and they were sitting alone in a dim library. Wouldn't you feel the least bit frightened in that situation as well?

"Oh, yeah, and you're going to have to leave. You're not allowed to be in the library without a library pass from your teacher if it's during a class period."

Ah, that was right. Didn't Infinite say something about her being the president of the student council the other chapter?

Chapter 22:

"Exactly," Honest said. "Who's the council president anyway, Infinite?"

"Fiona the Fox," he told her, tilting his head. "You mean you didn't know?"

"Of course I didn't! I guess she appointed herself. I don't understand how the world inside a story can spin without the author's consent. Just like how Manic replaced Fleetway, Mephiles took over the school and made himself principal, and now Fiona has appointed herself as the president of a 'student council' that I had no part in even creating. So let me guess; you're on the council as well?"

When Infinite nodded, Honest spun around as if she were about to fall.

"Oh, no!" she exclaimed, pressing her hands to the side of her head. "My world is falling down around me!"

"Okay, we'll leave, but first- how was the student council created?" Honest asked. She had said it in such a simple and genuine way that it made Fiona blink.

"Uh, we had a vote. Didn't you vote, too?"

Honest shook her head. "I don't remember anything like that."

"Oh," Fiona said. "You must've been absent that day or something. Anyway, I was voted president. There were six officers chosen, too. Infinite, Blaze, Charmy, Key, Marine, and Wave." Honest nodded in understanding, and Fiona put a hand to her chin in thought, looking to the ceiling. "I don't understand why you weren't there for that. Maybe there's some sort of communication barrier like maybe you didn't hear about it because of your situation." She looked back at Honest. "What class do you have second period?"

"Study hall," Honest told her, making a confused expression.

"I'll bring this up at the next council meeting," Fiona declared. She then proceeded to nudge Honest and Scourge towards the exit.

When Honest and Scourge were forced out of the library, Scourge walked like a silent spectre in the direction of his sixth period class. The bell had rung while they were in there, so it wasn't fifth anymore. Honest was then tackled out of nowhere by Shadow.

"Where were you all period? What happened?" he asked.

Honest was watching Scourge. "It was important story business. I was discussing the plot."

"With him?" Honest looked distracted, but then she suddenly beamed and began to wave her arms.

"Hey!" When the green king turned around, he saw them and his expression brightened. "Do you wanna walk with us?"

The shadowy hedgie standing next to her looked confused as he watched Scourge run towards them, the emerald, kingly renegade's dark leather jacket flying out behind him as he moved.

Although, in all Honesty, Shadow knew very little about the royal, green pineapple, he assumed that, based on the fact that he was Sonic's evil twin, him and Sonic must share similar personality traits. For that reason, Shadow was very distrusting of him. At the same time though, it was obvious to Shadow that Scourge not only considered Honest his best friend, but also trusted her in a way that could only be described as sincere. No way was Sonic capable of something like that.

Even now it was obvious they were different. Currently Scourge was inspecting the floor as if he were uncomfortable around him. If he were Sonic, Scourge would've probably been grinning cheekily at Shadow the whole time they walked.

When they arrived at their sixth period art class that they all happened to share, Scourge disappeared into the computer lab across the hall to goof off and pretend to work while Honest and Shadow went into the art room to actually get work done. Dina was already there, busily scribbling at a square of brown paper with a familiar-looking charcoal pencil at the farthest table from the door.

"Hey!" Honest exclaimed, running at her pink and white fan character and making said hedgehog look up at her frightfully. "Did you ask before borrowing that?"

"No," Dina answered, not noticing the very obvious rhetoricality of that question. Obviously Honest knew Dina hadn't asked to borrow that. She was the one who would've been asked. It was her pencil after all.

"You can't just take things without asking permission," Honest told her. Shadow settled into the empty seat beside Dina and crossed his arms. "No one likes an art thief... or an art supply thief."

"Well, I was waiting to ask you once you were in the room..." Dina explained, rolling her eyes.

"Well, then," Honest said, smiling. "I'm here now. Ask me."

Dina smiled back. "Okay! Can I borrow your charcoal pencil?"

Honest beamed. "No! Of course not!" Dina just gave her a scowl and went to ask someone else, dropping the stolen pencil in Honest's outstretched hand as she trudged past.

Honest came to the table moments later with her in-progress artwork and a tin of colored pencils. She pulled out her chair and got to work cheerily with not so much as a glance in Shadow's direction. He wasn't bothered by it, though. He was bothered by something else.

"How come Scourge is not just Sonic with a coat of green paint?"

"Oh, he is, though," Honest said, shading a face of the orange building she'd been working on for the past two weeks in with a magenta pencil. "Oh! He also has a jacket, red shades, and cool shoes!"

Shadow looked unamused. "Uh-huh. Then how come he's not in here pestering us? Instead, he's sitting in a room all by himself." He threw his hands up as if that were the most ridiculous thing anyone could be doing right now. Honest looked at him as if she were severely disappointed.

"You're worse than some fans," she told him. "He's not a stereotype. He's a person... well, hedgehog person." Honest sighed and casually inspected her artwork which currently laid pinned beneath her left arm. "As his Moebius equivalent, Scourge is bound to share a lot of Sonic's characteristics, quirks, and personality traits. Right now he is merely concealing his true nature for self-preservation." When Shadow relaxed in his seat and began to lose his alarmed expression, Honest reacted as if he had just done the opposite- tensed up and gained an alarmed expression. "But don't you worry! I promise that I'll encourage him to reveal his true nature at any cost!"

Now Shadow did tense up. "No! I-I mean... Isn't that bad? Isn't that not what we want?"

Honest gave him a mildly confused expression. "Do you mean to say you're opposed to Scourge expressing himself?"

"Yes! If it's destructive, yes!"

Honest smiled. "No, no. Trust me, it'll be extremely constructive and helpful."

Honest was acting more like Sonic than Scourge was at this point in time.

"Sonic and I share similar philosophies. There's a good chance that Scourge does, too," Honest explained, grinning like the Cheshire cat. "I aim to take advantage of that."

Shadow sweatdropped and didn't utter a word for a good while.
