Sorry for the Delay, I needed a break from this series for a bit... but it is going nowhere, I won't be getting rid of it. I hope you enjoy what I came up with...

Samantha

Bonnie and Samantha started lighting torches around the tomb, feeling threads of power invoking themselves into being. It was a strange thing, realizing that others around them could not feel their power. A rare potent power, the kind only that those blessed with Magic could manage to sense and endure.

" Air. Earth. Fire." Bonnie's voice echoed out in the chamber of the tomb.

Samantha nodded holding up a water bottle, tossing some water around ground. "Water."

Elena, naturally had to speak up even though she wasn't really supposed to be there. "That's it? Just water from the tap?"

"As opposed to what?"

Elena shrugged, looking a little embarrassed. "I just figured maybe it would have to be blessed or mystical or something."

It was hard for Samantha not to roll her eyes. "Water is water at the end of the day, this is linking us to the universal energy of the elements."

Damon, being himself, said nothing about the moment and pulled out a blood bag, unwinding it and getting it ready.

Stefan, for some reason, had to open his mouth. "What's that?"

Damon rolled his eyes. " It's for Katherine. Gotta have something to get her going. Unless your girl's offering a vein to tap." He looked back at Elena, who looked at him, unamused. Damon smirked hard, then turned to Stefan. " Admit it - you can't wait to get rid of me."

Stefan chuckled. " I can't wait to get rid of you."

"Hmm."

Bonnie shared a look with Samantha, nodding hard. "We're ready." She stood and got herself in the center of the pentagram drawn. "Phasmatos Salves Nas Ex Malon, Terra Mora Vantis Quo Incandis, Et Vasa Quo Ero Signos." She closed her eyes, her powers flowing into the air and charging it with power. "Phasmatos Salves Nas Ex Malon, Terra Mora Vantis Quo Incandis, Et Vasa Quo Ero Signos."

Damon, who was the most amused, spoke up. " What is she saying?"

John, on the other side of the Tomb, spoke up. "It sounds like Latin."

"I don't think it's Latin." Elena was obviously the most shaken."

"It's is and it's not Latin." they turned to Samantha, who rolled her eyes. "It's a variation of Latin brought about by witches, mixed with a other pieces of languages.

After a few more seconds of Bonnie reciting the spell, the torches flare up. Elena grabbed onto Stefan's arm, looking terrified where as Jenna had a wicked smile on her face. "What's happening?"

"Phasmatos Salves Nas Ex Malon, Terra Mora Vantis Quo Incandis, Et Vasa Quo Ero Signos."

Over and Over, she whispered the spell, her timbre rising and rising until slowly the door shifted and moved to the side.

Finally, Bonnie sighed. "It worked."

Samantha rolled her eyes. "Of course it worked, your a badass witch." Stepping forward, Samantha kneeled by a deer, bound and gagged by Damon earlier. "Get in and grab the girl, then get out. I will cast the spell as soon as your at the door way."

Damon nodded. "Will do."

"Don't cast until I get there." They all whipped around to see Anna, who Damon and Stefan looked at with some shock.

"It's been a while, Annabelle." Damon smirked at her. " After you." He made a false gentlemanly gesture, offering to move aside for her. She just rolled her eyes and barreled into the Tomb with Damon at her back.

Stefan

"We should be getting Gasoline..." Stefan frowned, looking at the open tomb and literally hearing the whispering of the ever dying vampires stuck in perpetual hunger. They were a threat, a danger and he should be killing them not saving them. It just wasn't right...

Pity he couldn't move, Bonnie was staring at him with hands splayed, ready to cast any spell she needed to in order to put him down. She was loyal to her sister witch and armed with just enough skill to put him down. He wasn't blind to that fact.

"How do you feel about Katherine being here? Jenna, who had been quietly standing next to John against the wall away from him and Elena, piped up with a look of curiosity. "You did date her as well."

John smirked here "She has a point, she was the reason you became a vampire in the first place. Can't imagine that's just something you get over."

Unable to ignore them, he straightened his back. "I've had a lot of time getting over her."

"Yet your dating her doppelgänger."

John's words knocked the breathe from Stefan and Elena. His girlfriend stepped forward, eyes wide. "What do you mean?"

"Oh that, ya you look identical to Katherine, practically her twin."

Stefan took a step back when Elena, Jenna, Bonnie and Samantha turned to him...Vicki was laughing at him.

"Boy you screwed up."

Samantha wasn't so happy. "Twin... " He looked at her, the wheels spinning behind her eyes in a horror film sort of way that honestly scared him. She never looked that freaked out, that alarmed, that panicked. "I beg of you, please be exaggerating!" She looked ready to pull out her hair. "Please tell me Elena isn't the literal doppelgänger! We have enough trouble without Her being used to break the Sun and Moon Curse."

Elena stalked over to her sister, boiling with rage. "What curse?

"A curse on vampire and werewolves that requires the sacrifice of the doppelgänger. Damn it Stefan how similar are they?" Her voice trembled but her eyes were filled with a rage that stepped Stefan in fear.

Elena turned to him, her hands shaking and tears in her eyes. "Yeah Stefan, how similar our we?"

"Other then their personality, and Elena's hair being thinner and straight... they are physically identical to the last detail."

Silence...

"SHE'S NOT HERE!" Echoey and loud, the pained and devastating sound of Damon's voice drew all their attention.

Samantha cringed, then sighed before turning to a very smug John. "You knew... you knew she wasn't in there. You wouldn't have brought it up otherwise." She knew her Uncle well enough to see through his crap, he was oddly transparent. "It's just too perfect that you would bring up how utterly similar they are right when Damon is about to bring her out."

John smirked deeper. "I've met a friend who've met her. She was very curious to hear that one of her descendants is a practicing witch, that threw her for a loop but not as much as you'd expect."

"Damn it John, this could set Damon on a spiral...Shit... Elena, don't bother anyone bout Katherine looking like you til tomorrow. We need to focus on Damon, kay?"

Her sister nodded, looking hurt but understanding. " We can't have him spiral, I get it."

"Good girl..." Not even ten awkward seconds later, Anna lead a very worn down but oddly beautiful women to the entrance of the Tomb. Damon was behind her, crying and looking utterly destroyed. It broke Samantha's heart, she moved to the door and kneeled down to look at the beautiful Asian women. "Your Pearl, right?"

The women nodded. "Yes..."

"I need you to agree to my deal do that and I will let you out. Fail to do so and I will burn you and your daughter alive. You will attack and harm no one, feeding to feed not to kill. You will acclimate with your daughter for a month before I allow others out of the tomb. I will let two people out per month based on your recommendation should you complete and agree to my terms. Do we have an accord?"

She looked to her daughter, getting a nod from Anna. "Very well. May I have your name?"

"Samantha Gilbert." She heard the women hiss in a pained breathe. "I heard my ancestor abused your trust, I am truly sorry...consider this my way of making amends." Turning her gaze up she looked at the much taller, broken Damon. " Thank you for behaving, I am proud of you Damon...I will be here for you. We will find her if only to punish her for not being here and abusing your trust... actually Pearl, can you tell me why Katherine is not in the Tomb? This won't affect if I let you out but the ritual will take a moment to cast so..."

Pearl nodded and turned her gaze to a very angry Damon. "The guard he was obsessed with her, she promised to turn him...he let her out."

"Last I saw her was Chicago, 1983. She knew where you were Damon. She didn't care..."

Samantha's heart exploded for Damon, his entire life's goal shattered because one bitch was so utterly selfish... she wanted to find her anscestor and hurt her like she hurt Damon. A man she played with and set up for failure...a man who she promised the world only to give him immortality and a complex after being murdered by his own father...

The rage made it easy to slit her sacrifice's throat, coating her hands in it's blood. Magic flooded her system, waiting for her to do something with it. Standing, she walked over to the door and started muttering her spell.

"Singuinata Venet a Superem" Walking to the doorway, she placed her hands on the walls of the tomb, uttering the spell over and over again. "Singuinata Venet a Superem. Singuinata Venet a Superem. Singuinata Venet a Superem. Singuinata Venet a Superem"

The Tomb shook, dust and dirt falling to the ground, Elena's shriek filling the air but surely the spell took effect.

"Hurry, you have a minute get out."

Pearl, Anna and Damon all but threw themselves out of the tomb. Damon went over and sat on a brick, looking broken where as Anna turned to Samantha. "I will have my partner deliver your brother to your house shortly. I promise, he'll be okay." Then they hobbled away, taking comfort in each other.

That didn't matter to Samantha who walked over to Damon, who was already being comforted by Vicki and Jenna. "Damon... do you want me to find her?"

He looked up at her, still in tears. "Why wasn't I enough?"

"She was a selfish bitch who took two epic catches for granted, sounds a bit dumb to me... John knew she wasn't in the tomb, but I am guessing he didn't tell you since we both know you wouldn't have believed him." She turned to her Uncle, getting a nod. "He is going to set out his feelers, set up a meeting. I will cast a spell to find her and we can question her. Maybe she did love you but there were outside circumstances, maybe she's an evil skank... we will find out then... okay?"

For once, she prayed, hoping he'd listen to her and behave and not self destruct... she didn't want to have to put her almost friend down.

Damon looked at her, with pain and shock in his eyes. "Sure... we... sure. I want to go home now."

Nodding, She looked to Stefan. " Clean up everything and your forgiven. We repeat this in one month, we need to be better about it..."

And then she and everyone but Stefan left, leaving the brooding douche to clean up the sacrifice and all that came with it.
