On the second day Severus was given a clean bill of health but was not allowed to return to his quarters. When he asked Dumbledore why he was informed that they had been moved now to a different location. He would now access them through a new secret door in his personal potions store. He would need to pull on the large bottle of moon-glow essence to open it. He had told Hannah about it and had her give him a vow that she would knock before entering and tell no one how to access it unless he told her she could whenever she chose to visit him. It suited her fine. She was very excited to ask him all about teaching and how he enjoyed it. Lily could use that to access their new marital rooms from there if she so chose but would not be obliged to do so if it was not her wish.

Harry and Jim were instantly given the password after giving her a vow they would not share it with anyone and would knock before entering something they were shocked to even discover one could do as both had thought it would ruin the painting in question but it would not. They were both shocked but happy for her. Jim especially as he had already made his apologies to Severus. He had stated he had only done as his father had told him because it was not his wish to be kicked out of the family. He even told him how he had become Lord Potter himself and then denied his father any money at all. He would now be reliant solely on his ministry wages which had increased since to twelve thousand galleons per month. He had discussed how impressed he was with Ron who had gotten ten thousand galleons from his family member which had changed his life a thing he valued greatly.

Severus had been very impressed indeed. The fact that Ronald Weasley valued money so much was quite frankly refreshing. To be honest what with Jim in Slytherin and Harry in Ravenclaw they were a cunning duo so fierce they made an absolute mockery of most Slytherins in that house. Not that the dunderheads ever noticed it of course they were too dense for that. Harry had plans for Slytherin house he intended to use Jim to implement however Jim knew about it and was fine with it because he too felt the same way. People had viewed Slytherin as evil for far too long and he was sick of it.

I mean the late Professor Quirrel had been a Ravenclaw; Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor, Gilderoy Brannagh was a dark arts fanatic from Hufflepuff who had done exceptionally well at hiding his intentions from most until his execution in 1865. The point was that all houses had evil members and he was sick of it always being Slytherins who got the raw deal. Now in fairness to them some of them did deserve that raw deal for being idiots! Draco Malfoy had been an idiot and it had taken him a while to even realise why he had been wrong in the first place however once he had realised he had become a better person for it. He now viewed people not on their blood status but on their actual magical talent as he should have. Jim was very interested in doing a study into where muggleborns came from and Harry was interested in joining him. It was when they told Dumbledore this that he looked mildly horrified.

"Boys I trust you may find this idea interesting but the answer is not I am afraid a good one. Muggleborn people come from squibs however when this was discovered the Ministry of Magic decided to test squibs to see what made them produce magical children when they had little magic inside them on their own. The problem here is that they didn't care how they were conducting the tests and once it got out who these squibs had been related to there was uproar in the community as most of those families had not told their own children they'd discarded other children. It happened ten or so years ago and caused quite the outrage. It was around the same time people discovered James Potter had done the same to you Harry. It was not spoken of out of shame however which is why most of your peers knew nothing about you when you arrived here!" he answered as they both gasped. That was truly horrible after all.

"Sir would it be wrong to tell the purebloods of this school this information? I imagine if they knew that they were in any way related to these muggleborns something in their attitude towards them would drastically change. I just feel it would be better for inter house unity if tests were done on these muggleborns with their permission of course to see who they were related to. I want everyone to get on and they can't get on as they are doing!" said Jim sincerely.

"I will agree to the tests Mr Potter but they can decide for themselves if they wish to tell anyone about it. We have no right to take that choice from them. Although this is usually done in seventh year I will have Professor Snape cover the family tree potion in one of your next lessons. Should you find out anything interesting boys do come and tell me all about it!" he said dismissing them as they smiled. This would be a start and a cunning one at that. Something dressed up as merely another potions lesson which could change the lives of many was amazing. Besides which if it was a mere potions lesson no one outside of the school could protest against it as they would likely look very silly indeed if they did. That had been the hope of Harry and Jim and they were sure going to try and get the results they desired. Harry and Neville alone scored many points for Ravenclaw the total now at two hundred. They were known as the prodigies of the school.

Hufflepuff had been kind indeed to Ron who had scored a total of ninety points so far himself for his house. He had even surpassed Percy and was delighted by it as was Percy to his utter shock. He had thought Percy would hate him for it but was thrilled for him instead. He was flourishing there and whilst there realised something about himself he had not seen coming. He had asked Jim to meet him in a secluded part of the library people rarely visit and when Jim arrived there he met an exceptionally nervous looking Ron. He instantly wondered what Ron had done.

"Ron are you ok? What have you done?" he asked sitting down opposite his friend who jumped.

"I haven't done anything yet although I have wanted to and it has freaked me out. Please say I haven't buggered up our friendship but I think I might be gay!" he said hysterically while Jim looked at him in awe indeed.

"Yes ok but why would that be a problem for me? I'm gay too Ron! Just because I don't say it to anyone doesn't mean it's not true. Harry's not gay and he knows about me and accepts me. If he can accept me as I am then I can accept you as you are. I've had my eye on Malfoy for quite the while now. He does look rather delectable doesn't he? I mean really! I know he was a jackass but he is getting better and he has amazing eyes. I'd love to run my hands through his hair plus if he ever did anything wrong I could just whip his ass in a duel and he would look very silly then. You won't loose me as a friend Ron I promise!" he said sincerely as tears dropped from his best friends eyes.

"I am already so different to mum and dad because I'm not a Gryffindor and to add to that now I'm gay too. I don't want them thinking Hufflepuff made me this way and hating my house for it you know. It's just who I am. Whenever Quidditch games were played I always watched the male players and loved how they would dominate the pitch. It was wonderful. What if I think I might really like a Slytherin!?" he asked as Jim raised his eyebrows in mild shock.

"Who is it? Is it Malfoy because if it is then I can't blame you!" he said as Ron's ear tips went bright red and he started to stutter a bit with his nerves.

"Eh no it isn't. It's, well I don't remember his name actually I think it was Damian Zabini or something like that. You know that emm hot Italian guy! He's so dark and mysterious! Damn it all since this friend soul bond between us all my thoughts have been a bit more adult as of late" he said practically puce by the time he'd finished speaking as Jim laughed.

"It's Blaise Zabini Ron. If you called him Damian though he might find it amusing I don't know. You are right about him. Yeah I noticed the whole adult thoughts thing too. I might ask mum and Professor Snape about it!" he said as Ron thought for a moment.

"Yes please do" he said further blushing at Jim's next question.

"What are these thoughts Ron?" he asked seriously in curiosity.

"Well I'm in the bath and he is in it with me cuddling with me and kissing me. Then he feeds me some Italian cheesecake. It's really nice but I get very excited by it at night time and I am just so happy no one can see me!" he said burying his head in his hands as Jim laughed then like he hadn't in ages.

"Yes I know what you mean. Tell you what I'll introduce you to him if you like!" he said a shocked Ron almost choked but didn't with the shock.

"Eh ok but I just hope I don't make a total fool of myself. He's gorgeous!" he sighed suddenly feeling very much at ease having known Jim was also gay. Jim had told Harry who had rolled his eyes and told him to get over himself. He had said he didn't care about that and still loved him for it no matter what. In his new rooms Severus' hands trembled as he picked up the letter. It was now or never…
