My phone beeped and I found that it was Jacob texting me. Hey, Ness. Good morning.

Me: Gd mrng, Jake. 'Sup?

Jacob: Well, der is smthng I wud like you to do.

Me: Like a favr?

I was confused.

Jacob: Nope. Not a favr. More of a job.

Me: Wateva. Temme.

Jacob: Okay. Go to Charlie's house.

Me: What? Why?

Jacob: Sue will give you a package. Get it and go home.

I was full on confused. Okay. Is it yours?

Jacob: Just get it, Ness.

Me: Okay.

Jacob: Also make sure to get it by 12. Dey r leaving somwer for lunch.

Me: Okay. Consider it done.

Jacob: Thanks, baby. Love you.

Me: Love u too, Jakey. Bye.

Jacob: Bye.

I checked the time in my phone. It was half past ten and I had just woken up. Damn you, Jacob Black!

I rushed into the bathroom and did my morning routine. I put on a hot pink t-shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans. I pulled on a pair of basic white sneakers and grabbed the keys to Aubrie on my way out. Mom and Dad were not in the cottage. I told them that I was leaving to Charlie's as I drove the car out from the garage. "Give our love to Charlie and Sue, Ness," Dad said and I said okay. I texted Jake that I was on the way to Charlie's and he sent me a thumbs up. I pulled in the car in the driveway and headed inside.

"Hey, Grandpa!" I hugged him as he opened the door.

"Nessie. Look at you. Young as always," he smiled widely. He had found it hard to look at me and not wonder how I am always the same. And humor helped him overcome that.

"Not as young as you, though," I winked and he smiled shyly.

"Hey, Nessie," Sue chimed in and kissed my cheek. "How are you, Nessie?"

"I am doing good, Sue. Hope my grandpa is taking good care of you," I teased him and she laughed.

She hugged Charlie's waist and buried her face in his chest and I couldn't help but Awwww!

"Mom and Dad conveyed their love to both of you," I said and they smiled in acknowledgement. "Hey, Sue. Jacob said that you have a package and asked me to fetch it for him."

"Ah, yes. The package," she said to herself and went upstairs to fetch it. When she came back she had a white package in her hands and gave it to me.

"Okay, I guess I should go. Jake told me that you are going out for lunch and I came here only to get the package," I said with a polite smile. They nodded and I kissed them goodbye and drove back home.

I went to the cottage and settled on the couch in the living room. I fetched my phone from my back pocket and texted Jacob. Got the package.

Jacob: Thaaaank yew!

Me: Hahaha. You sound like a girl. Anyways wat does it contain?

Jacob: Oh, nthng important. Just a few bags of coc.

Me: Very funny.

Jacob: Hahaha. Really it's nthng. Der is a gd chance I'll c it by evening.

Me: Okay. How r u?

Jacob: Good. Feeling gd. Completely alrt.

Me: Gd to hear. Am excited about the cmng week!

Jacob: Me too. Hope no leech hurts me this week.

I shuddered. Shut up. You are not going to patrol for two weeks. Carlisle said so!
Jacob: Ik. Just kidding. Calm down, Cupcake.

Me: You cant be kidding abt this stuff.

Jacob: I'm sorry.

Me: Fine. V r gd.

Jacob: Alrt, Ness. Gotta go. Time for bath! Boo.

I laughed. Byeee. XOXOXO.

Jacob: XOXO.

I watched TV the entire day, even though I was behind my school stuff. I was too excited about spending a week at Jacob's to give a damn about home work. Around one, Esme called me and asked me if I wanted some lunch and I declined the offer. I was completely engrossed in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. when Alice came rushing inside the house. "What. Are. You. Doing?" she asked with her eyes wide open.

"Tone it down. Jesus! I am just watching TV," I raised my hands defensively.

"Didn't you see Jacob's text?"

"What? What text?" I asked, checking my phone. Take the package and go to Alice, it said. "It's yours?"

"No, it is not mine. But, come on. Take the package and come to my room in five," she said and disappeared. I grabbed the package and walked to Alice's room wondering why everyone was acting weird from the morning. "Open it," Alice said as she looked through her vanity table.

I opened the package carefully as I didn't know to whom it belonged and found a red halter dress. It was gorgeous. "Wow! It is wonderful. Nice choice, Alice," I winked at her and she smiled.

"Thank you. But, it is for you."

"What? For me?" I asked her perplexed and at the same time my phone beeped. Put in on, Jake's message said.

Me: You got this?

Jacob: Nope. We got it. Alice and me we.

Me: Wow. You two are sneaky.

Jacob: Hahaha. Put in on. I'll meet you in a few. We are going on a date.

What? Really? I laughed.

He didn't reply. I sent him a several other texts. Still no answer. I tossed the phone on her bed and changed into my dress. It fit me perfectly. "Wow. This dress looks like it's made for me," I commented and Alice giggled. Rosalie pulled my hair into a bun and left a few curls hanging down my face. I wore some mascara and did a smoky eye and Alice made me put on the non-smear red lipstick.

"You should always wear non-smear for a date. That way when you kiss-" she explained as I put on my lipstick and I cut her off.

"Really?!" She grinned sheepishly and Rose laughed. Esme, Alice, Mom and Rose told me that I looked beautiful. Alice handed me a pair of red ankle straps and asked me to put this on. It was when I was putting it on that I realized that it was mine. "Wait, what is my ankle strap doing here?"

"No, biggie. I picked it up from your closet when I came," she waved me off.

"God! Alice, you can't steal people's shoes when they are in the house!" I huffed and she giggled.

We heard Jake pull in his car and I left downstairs. He had already settled down in the couch and was chatting with Emmett with a bouquet in his hands.

He stood up as soon as he saw me. "Wow, you look…stunning, Renesmee."

"Thank you, Jacob," I blushed. "You look nice yourself."

He rubbed his palm against the back of his neck, something he did when he was nervous, and smiled at me as he gave me the flowers. "Shall we go?" he asked me and I nodded. I handed the flowers to my Mom and took Jake's hand. "Edward, I would like to take your daughter out tonight," he said, trying not to laugh.

"Just go already, Jacob," Dad said, equally fighting a smile. Jacob chuckled and punched Dad on his shoulder.

"Alright, bye bye, Bells," he went outside and he opened the door to the passenger's seat and closed it after I got comfortable. He hopped into the car and we drove to Seattle.

"We are going to a restaurant?" I asked him when he parked the car in front of it. Part of me was happy that Jacob had taken me on a date. Part of me was terrified that I had to eat food.

"Yeah. I already made reservations. I'm sure you will love it," he smiled.

"Well, as long as they have Doritos," I teased him and we laughed.

"Funny. But they don't have Doritos," Jacob said.

"Yes, Sir? How may I help you," the receptionist asked.

"Reservation under Mr Black," Jacob said politely and it was somehow funny to me when I heard Jacob talking like this.

"Ah! Mr Black. Come in, Sir. Let me take you to your table."

Jacob smiled at me and we followed the man. The restaurant was completely filled. There was not a single chair free to sit down. But I decided not to question. We walked through a door which led to the garden of the restaurant. It had only one table with two chairs. The place was lighted dim gold and our table had a bottle of champagne with two glasses. It had a flower vase with fresh white lilies. We sat on our chairs and the man poured us each a glass of champagne and left us to give privacy.

"Have you tried champagne?" Jake asked me.

"No, you would have known if I did. Have you?"

"Yes. Of course, I have," he said enthusiastically which made me laugh. "It is wonderful. But, then again, you don't like pretty much half the food I love."

I giggled. "Lemme give it a try."

We raised our glasses and cling. "To us," we said in unison and smiled.I took a sip of it and my eyes grew wide. "Wow!"He had a smug smile on his face, the one he always used to put on when he was right about something. "Like I said."

"Like you said." We shared a smile and I looked around when I heard a soft music playing behind us. "Is that-"

"Bossa nova, yes," he said. Bossa nova was Jacob and mine's favourite. We are so crazy about it that we put in on and dance around in our rooms like a pair of crazy people.

"Jake, this is wonderful. I love it!"

He gave me a sexy smile. "I aim to please, Ma'am."

I couldn't help but laugh and he joined me soon. A waiter approached us. "Your order, Sir?"

"A honey baked chicken and a mushroom ravioli," Jake said. So far, I had liked only mushroom raviolis, Doritos and coffee under the food category and I extremely grateful that he ordered it for me rather than order something else and make me eat it like he'd do always.

"Dresses look good on you. You should wear them more often," he commented, gazing me from my head to toes.

"Thank you, Jacob. Dress shirts look good on you too," I teased him and he rolled his eyes.

"You food, Sir," the waiter announced with the tray in his hand. "Honey baked chicken for you, Sir and the mushroom ravioli for the Lady," he said and I giggled at enjoyed the food and had a good chat as we ate. Every now and then, Jacob would flash a smile at me and I would blush furiously. After we ate, Jacob asked me if I wanted to dance.

"Jake, I am not much of a dancer," I whispered.

"Come on. I am not good, either." We danced for a while and later I buried my face in his chest and we swayed around to the music silently, drowning in each other's presence. "I am luckiest man alive," he said and smiled at me. "I love you, Nessie."

"I love you too, Jacob. More than you know," I said and he pulled me closer into a kiss. I threaded my fingers in his hair, allowing it to tickle my knuckles. I could feel the heat rising in my body and pulled back. He smiled at me and planted one last kiss in my forehead.

"I don't have lipstick on me, do I?" Jacob asked me in mock-horror and I shook my head, laughing.

"It's non smear," I said and he sighed in relief.

"Remind me to thank, Alice," he said and I smacked his ribs. "You want to get some dessert?" he asked after a few minutes and I made a face.

"Really? I mean, this has been perfect so far. Why spoil it with dessert?" I whined and he laughed.

"You are such a buzzkill. Come on, we are getting that dessert," he said and took me to our table. "Two apple pies," he said to waiter and he nodded back. "Thank you."The waiter was back very soon and placed them before us. I looked back and forth at Jacob and the pie. "Just try it, Ness," Jacob said and stared at me until I took a bite. "Well?"

"Hmm…tastes…good."

"I told ya," he winked and I finished the pie while Jake paid.

We were on the car and on our way to LaPush. Actually, I had planned to go to Jake's tomorrow. Since he had taken me out today, I thought I'd go there tonight rather than go home and leave to LaPush after spending the night in the cottage.

I called Dad and he picked up immediately. "Hello, Dad."

Yes, sweetheart. How did the date go?

"Great! I enjoyed the evening."

Glad to know you're happy.

"We're heading to LaPush now. I just wanted to let you know that it was good."

Okay, sure, sweetie. Can you put Jacob on the phone?

"Sure," I said and handed the phone to Jake. "Yes, Vamp Daddy?" Jacob teased and I stifled a laugh.

I'm glad Renesmee enjoyed herself. Anyways, I wanted to tell you to behave yourself. Is that clear?

"Can you please stop embarrassing me, Edward?" he howled and I fought a laugh.

Fine. I know she will be safe with you. Still, take care of her, okay?

"She will be thousand times safer and happier than she ever was. Happy?"

Good. Have a good night.

"Fine. Bye," Jake scoffed and hung up.

"What did he say, Jacob?" I asked, trying my best not to laugh.

"Stop pretending like you didn't hear him," he rolled his eyes and I burst out laughing.

We unlocked the door to his house and found that Billy had already gone to sleep. I headed straight to the bathroom, took a shower and changed into my pajamas. I sat on the bed, waiting for Jacob to come from his shower and tuck me in.

"Sleep here. I'll sleep on the couch tonight. We'll find a way to put some beds together tomorrow," he said as he tucked me in and planted a kiss on my forehead. "Good night, Ness."

"Good night, Jacob. I had a wonderful evening. Thank you."

He smiled and caressed my cheek and left the roomroom.
