Warning: mentions rape

[Alex's POV]

Light started to dance over my eyelids, pulling me slowly out of my trance. My body, like a pile of bricks, and moving my arm to reach my eyes was its own battle. The electrical signals my nerves sent to my muscles seemed to choose not to trigger movement.

I could feel the layer of crust that formed from crying rip as I opened my eyes. I managed to power through my pain and used my hand to remove any excess.

The sunlight I saw was coming from between the shades, constantly changing in brightness as clouds drifted by, blocking the rays.

Looking around, the room lacked any other life, only the grays of the room remained.

The grumbling of my stomach made me snap out of my depressive trance, but my lack of strength stopped me from calling out for anyone. I just wanted to lay there and continue to wallow in my sadness.

As if the universe had other plans, the door opened and Kyoya walked in with a plate of eggs and a cup of yogurt.

"I'm glad you are awake. I brought you some breakfast, it should be easy for you to swallow." He placed the plate on the bed-side table before positioning himself in front of me. "I'm going to help you sit up, if that's okay." I nodded as he slowly pushed his arm under my upper back and pulled up. I couldn't help but wince as he pushed on my wounds, both old and new.

His eyes flickered with pity for me and this situation I've gotten myself into. Taking it upon himself to make sure I am being taken care of, Kyoya made the decision to feed me by slowly driving a spoon-full of eggs towards my chapped lips.

"I hope this experience made you learn something." He started to lecture me while I weakly opened my mouth to accept the offer of food. "You cannot forget that you are also a female. What would you have done if they found out about your sex? They could've held you down and sexually assaulted you. The three of them could've easily done it. You didn't think to come and get us?" He kept on drowning on, so I just ate in silence.

"Hey. Pay attention, I'm saying this for your sake." Kyoya commanded as he held the food farther away from me "Maybe you need to hear it in simpler terms. They could held you against your will and raped you. Do you understand?" The way he spit out the word in absolute disgust. I nodded in response, I knew what the risk was. A head motion was all he needed to continue to feed me. "You and Haruhi were putting yourselves in danger when this could've been avoided."

"I was fine." I croaked out.

"Do you even see how you look right now? If being run over by a semi-truck is fine, then you are doing fantastic. You look like-"

"I get it, I get it." I cut him off. "I froze when they threw Haruhi over, but before then I had everything under control. And they had no way to find out I'm a girl, I think these wounds are enough proof of that." I groaned as I shifted my position.

"Take your medicine. I have two cars coming to take us all back home. I'm going to send Haruhi over to help you clean up and get ready to go." He spoke on his way out.

"Thanks Kyoya" He waved his hand to acknowledge me and then left.

I worked on moving my legs over the side of the bed, but right as I was about to put my weight on my feet and get up Haruhi came in.

"Don't even think about moving yet." She closed the door behind her and flashed a tub full of water and a washcloth.

"You don't need to do this Haruhi." I tried to stop her but she pulled up a chair and started to work on my arms.

"Kyoya told me you slept throughout the night without a problem." Haruhi let that statement linger for a little before asking me outright "What happened for you to look like you've cried all night?"

I let out my breath. "I kissed Kaoru last night-"

"YAY!" Haruhi smiled, but quickly turned it to a frown as she looked at my face. "but?"

"But, he ran away before I could even tell him or explain anything. I told him to wait, but he didn't want to listen to me. He completely rejected me." I began to sniffle as tears collected.

"I'm sorry. Listen, it's okay." Haruhi lightly hugged me. "Maybe, he is just confused right now and needs some time?"

"I guess. I'm just scared I messed everything up. What if he doesn't talk to me anymore?" I wiped at my eyes.

Haruhi started to scrub my legs. "Kaoru is not that type of guy. It might be a little awkward, but I don't think he would ever go that far."

Kyoya opened the door large enough for him to come into the room. He walked in with a hand over his eyes. "If you are not dressed yet, I suggest you put on clothes now. The car is here. I'll be right out the door if you need help getting there." He quickly turned back around and left the room.

Haruhi helped me maneuver to put on a shirt and some knee-length shorts. "It would've helped if you could wear a dress." She pointed out as she handed crutches to me. "Can you use them? Or do you need a wheel chair?"

I pushed off the bed, holding onto the crutches like my life depending on it. "I think I can wobble. Can you walk with me?"

"Of course! I don't know if I will be much help if you fall though." Haruhi opened the door for me to make my way out.

"Point where do I need to go Kyoya." I looked at Kyoya as he reached his hands out to help balance me. He started to motion towards the quickest and best way to leave the manor, and after about a dozen slips, the three of us made it outside.

The rest of the host club watched me from the car as I made my way over. I tried to look at Kaoru but he refused to even look my way.

'Kaoru is not that type of guy. He is not that type of guy.' I kept thinking over and over again.

With Kyoya's help, I was placed into the second car, and we both went back to the Ootori mansion so I could be watched over and treated accordingly.

[TIME SKIP]

After two weeks or so of healing, I was discharged, with a doctor's approval, from the Ootori's home and allowed to go back to campus. During those two weeks, Haruhi had been the only one to stop by and check on me. She assured me that it was because everyone was busy trying to make up for the loss of a host and that both she and Kyoya were adamant about no one bothering me during my recovery. While I can believe that they both probably agreed that I should be left alone, I don't think anyone actually asked to come to check on me. After all, my phone had never been drier, and a simple 'how are you' text from any of the others would have been appreciated.

I messaged Haruhi, telling her that I was officially good to go, and despite being club time, she responded back immediately.

'That's great! Even though you can move around, you still need to be careful with your body. –H'

'I've been a vegetable for about two weeks, I am ready to get back into action. Also, what are you doing texting during club time? Don't you have hosting that you need to be doing?' I quickly sent back to her while changing into a baggy hoodie and jeans, just wanting to wear anything less hospital-like.

'I was sent to the store to get some instant coffee. I just left the club room, so no one can say anything.'

I laughed at her message, grabbed a cap and sunglasses, and started to make my way over to the store I knew she would be heading to.

'Can I join? I need to take a walk anyway.' I sent back, knowing she would say no, but still giving her a heads up.

Upon reaching the store, I saw a Haruhi, hands-on-hips, looking irritably at me.

"I knew you would show up." She shook her head at me.

"I needed fresh air Haruhi," I whined as I followed her through the automatic doors into the air conditioning.

She held up two different brands. "Which one do you think I should get?"

"Don't we normally get that one?" I pointed to the one in her right hand.

"Yes, BUT! This one" She raised her left arm "has a deal right now, where I can get two for one. And we get free bandages."

I looked at her for a little, the frugal spirits in both of us wrestle with the idea. "Get the deal. I don't think they would really know the difference, right?" She nodded her head as if she made the same decision and went ahead to check out.

Leaving the store, Haruhi seemed to be staring at me.

"What is it? Just tell me."

"Are you really alright? Does it still hurt anywhere?" Haruhi worriedly looked me up and down.

"I'm doing great! Look at me!" I did a jump and clicked my heels together.

Shocked at my sudden movement "Don't do that! You just got discharged!" Haruhi scolded me, while I laughed at her reaction. After we quieted down she started to talk again, "How are you feeling about… you know… are you alright?"

I sighed, as we were quickly approaching the school. "I think… I think I need to just drop it. I haven't heard anything from him since the beach, and honestly, I'm terrified, Haruhi. I'm scared that if I don't just play it off like I was delusional, then I might never be able to act normally with him again. I don't want that, so I think it might be better to just let go of my feelings. From now on, I'm going to act like nothing happened." I smiled sadly, finally admitting what I had been holding onto for the last two weeks. He never checked on me during that time, so I should take that as a sign.

The moment we reached the gates, I stopped. "So, I should probably go back. I'm not exactly dressed like a male today and I don't want the Host Club to see me." I turned to go back when suddenly a female wearing an unknown uniform popped up in front of Haruhi.

"Look at these cute faces. You both are such beautiful young ladies." She began to complement while turning Haruhi's face to get a good look at her, then turning her attention to me and doing the same. "Could you both show me where this so-called 'Host Club' is?"

"Yeah, I'm actually heading there right now, you can follow me." Haruhi chimed in.

"I should probably go. Nice meeting you-" I tried to escape but this new girl wasn't having it.

"Nonsense! You are also a member, right? I understand that you are not in uniform but that doesn't mean we can't make a little trip!" She grabbed my hand and started to yank me with her.

I winced as she pulled me along "Can you not pull on me? I just got discharged from the hospital and I'm still a little sore." I confessed.

"I knew you weren't healed from the incident yet!" Haruhi began to get heated, ready to scold me.

"I am so sorry, fair maiden. I hope you can find it in you to forgive me." She loosened her grip and held my hand instead. It seems like she wasn't going to let me escape either way.

We made our way up the stairs, and at the door of the club room only to hear the booming of two female voices as they berate the club.

"-you think that's what a woman wants to hear? Well you are wrong." The first voice said.

"Come on, give them a break sister Suzuran. Men are just lowly life forms who don't care about anything other than perpetuating their testosterone-led image by protecting us he is actually attempting to disguise the fact that he is weak and unable to protect himself".

OUCH.

I noticed the lady near us grabbing at the door handle so I decided it was time to throw my hood up, and cover my face as much as possible.

"Well then, what would women like you like to hear?" Tamaki decided to ask and the girl next to Haruhi and I swung the door open and began her own monologue.

"Maybe something like I would never leave my lover alone." She began to strut into the room, dragging Haruhi and I along for the ride. I quickly noticed the guy's confused and shocked stares. The girl dropped my hand and began to twirl Haruhi around. When Haruhi was close to me I grabbed the shopping bag from her, to help avoid a potential disaster. "If we fight, it will be together! If we fail, we fail together! Even if I were to die, I promise you I would never leave your side."

"That's not bad if you like princely clichés I guess" I muttered under my breath and tried to make my way to the kitchen but the lady let go of Haruhi and grabbed me instead.

"My love." She brought my hand to her lips and kissed it gently.

"Oh shit, that's not bad. My heart almost skipped a beat there." I commented light-heartedly, and the girls seemed pleased. "Although, it could've been because I was surprised." I think the girls chose to ignore my second comment.

"Benibara!" The two girls walked over to the woman kissing my hand. "What took you so long?"

This 'Benibara' character grabbed Haruhi and me by the waist. "I found these two lovely ladies outside the school. They may be dressed as boys but I can see the feminine charm!" She pulled Haruhi into an embrace and looked longingly into her soul. "She has such beautiful doe eyes."

The other two began to grab at me and tried to yank my hood off.

"DON'T! PLEASE DONT!" I screamed while panicking, gaining everyone's attention. The girls then decided to shove their faces into my hood and grabbed at my tired face.

"She has such beautiful porcelain skin! And it's so soft!" The girls began to pull my sleeves up, only to see bandages. "You poor maiden! What have these scoundrels gotten you into?! To injure a woman's skin is a crime!" I quickly yanked my sleeves back down the moment they released me from their iron grips.

Tamaki snapped out of his trance and began to charge at Benibara. "Don't go touching my Haruhi without my permission!" However, he wasn't expecting the right hook Benibara threw while screaming to leave us 'maidens' alone. "She is so violent!" Tamaki cried while holding his face in pain.

Kyoya decided it was time to speak up, "Those uniforms. I assume you are from Lobellia Academy." To confirm his statement the three girls tore off their uniforms in a 'Team Rocket' fashion to show some theater outfits while singing 'Lobellia' and giving us their spiel about who they are and their 'Zuka Club'.

If I didn't know any better I would say they are the female counterpart of Ouran's Host Club.

Of course, the twins decided to not take the Zuka club and their outfits seriously, making a point to loudly make fun of them as if they themselves weren't dressed in guard outfits to match Tamaki's royal knight theme.

Renge was making her way into the picture to talk about the Zuka club so I decided to finally get into the kitchen and make some coffee for the girls. Haruhi saw me and decided to come along to avoid anything that might happen in the middle of the club room.

"Maybe I should've stayed home today." I talk to myself as I set up a tray with cups.

"Me too." Haruhi chimes in. "The Lobellia girls seem like nice people though."

"Haruhi, we don't know anything about them." I pointed out. "They've only complement us and yelled at the Host Club."

She shrugs and then pours the now-ready coffee into each cup. I go to grab the tray but Haruhi sends me a glare. "You are still injured."

"I'm not disabled, Haruhi. My arms work fine." I retorted but she was already out of the kitchen and on the way to serve the girls. I grab some extra cookies we have and put them on a plate to bring them too.

"And our pride… comes from having meaningful relationships based on equality." Benibara states, Haruhi and I clearly missed the whole conversation.

"That sounds nice," I say and Haruhi nods in agreement.

"Because we are in the same sex. And yes, that includes relationships of love." Benibara finishes her thought.

"I mean, that's still fine." I shrug.

"I'm sure you silly boys have something to say about our sublime female love!" Suzuran laughed.

Hikaru is playing a video game while Kaoru is looking through the coffee we just bought. "Hey, I haven't seen this one before, I guess this is a new brand!"

I now notice that the guys have changed back to their school uniforms and the girls have done the same. 'How did they?'

"To think that this halfer is putting down these two lovely ladies to live in his fictitious romance! Your fantasies are defacing any human values you might have. We swear to take you down and abolish the Host Club!" Benibara commanded the room to pay attention to her.

Kyoya seemed a little irritated by the lack of guests due to the intruders. "Can we do this another time? As you can see our president is still bedridden from the initial culture shock." And in fact, Tamaki was wrapped in a blanket and looked like a small child taking a nap. He was even holding a teddy bear. Benibara was visibly getting angrier by the second.

"Um, excuse me." Haruhi finally decided to jump in. "We made some coffee, would you ladies like some?"

"I also brought some cookies for you to snack on." I presented the array of sweets to the girls who gracefully grabbed one to have while drinking their coffee.

"How about the five of us have a tea party?" Suzuran presented the idea, and honestly, their presence was kind of refreshing.

Suddenly, as if he was resurrected from the dead, Tamaki jumped up and make his way towards us in a rage.

"You girls have it all wrong! There is nothing to be gained in a relationship between two women! If that were the case then why did God create Adam and Eve?!"

I noticed he was jumping towards Haruhi so I decided to step back and watch as he got coffee on his hand and burned his poor little fingers.

"You do realize that there is such a thing as lesbians. There is a whole community about loving whoever you want. You know, the LGBT+ community? Also, research is actually suggesting that women can take stem cells and in a lab turn it into sperm to get pregnant without a man! Of course, the resulting child would only be a girl because of the lack of Y chromosomes, but I digress. Science is a wonderful thing." I pointed out matter-of-factly. While Haruhi was busy helping Tamaki tending to his wounds the others in the club stared blankly at me. "What? This world could become women-dominated if they choose to use methods like that. It could completely wipe out the male population!" I laughed at their reactions. "Don't worry, it will be a while before that happens… unless?" I questioned while looking at the readers.

"This little conversation doesn't seem to be going anywhere." Benibara grabbed Haruhi and me. "Now that we know what I going on, we cannot allow these maidens to stay here! We will prepare the paperwork and have them transfer at once! We will welcome them into the Zuka club!"

"Performing in the theater again sounds like fun. I want to sing again, and the idea of doing their maiden student council to gather ideas and better themselves sounds like a really healthy and productive way to get better!" I started to mumble to myself. "Now I kinda wish I went there since it sounds like I would've had more time to play music." I kept mulling over the idea, completely ignoring everything that Haruhi was talking about until I heard about the auctions.

"I wouldn't call it a charge. We do have a point system. We offer priority services based on winning bids of auctions held on our website." Kyoya stated in a matter of face manor while pulling up the website. "Check this out Haruhi, your mechanical pencil just sold for a winning bid of 30,000 yen." Haruhi, however, did not take that news well.

"Why didn't you tell me about this before? This is stealing!" Haruhi screamed in frustration.

"We didn't steal that pencil! You dropped it on the floor!" The twins spoke in unison.

'So they are the thieves.'

Haruhi's body began to deflate, and Tamaki tried to make it better by explaining they never hid that from her and offered his own pencil.

"Not mentioning it is the same as hiding it." I sighed.

"I cannot believe they have been deceiving you. Dump them and come with us!" The two younger Lobellia girls spoke but stopped when Benibara jumped in.

"They have had quite a day. Let us give them time to think about it. We will be back soon, looking for that answer." They gracefully then excited the club room.

And evil aura popped out of Haruhi. "Maybe I should get going. Alex, let's go!" Having never seen Haruhi that mad, I decided to quickly make my exit with her and ignore the lingering looks from the rest of the club. Dropping my hoodie the moment we close the door behind us.

"I was getting hot in that hoodie." I sighed. "So, what is on your brain Haruhi? The Lobellia girls have a lot to offer honestly."

"I'm not sure. But the Host Club is really getting on my nerves. They really are idiots. What do you think, Alex?"

"Honestly? I wouldn't mind being in the Zuka club if it means I get to sing and play music. I don't really get to do that here, which sucks because it one of the reasons why I go to school here. But it also would take a lot to transfer… and I would like to get a scholarship too. Ugh, and there is the whole family situation too… why did I get stuck here?" I began to whine just thinking about the Ootoris'.

[Kyoya's POV]

I watched as Alex's hooded-form left the room.

'She must've not expected to come here today, I'm pretty sure I saw a strand of long hair come out of the hood at one point. But to think that another school's club was able to determine so quickly that she was female.'

Tamaki suddenly appeared in front of me with tears in his eyes. "Why did you have to go and tell her the truth?! You just added fuel to the fire!"

"The facts are the facts, Tamaki," I explained while pushing my glasses up the bridge on my nose.

'I need to go get them tightened, they keep on falling down my nose.' The thought crossed my mind while I ignored the antics of the other members.

"Kyoya-chan! Do you know why they kept saying Alex-chan was a girl? Alex-chan is a boy!" Honey-senpai suddenly interrupted everyone's conversations and drew all of their attention to me.

"It is not my place to say anything about Alex's personal life," I answered bluntly.

"So he is gay!" Tamaki exclaimed. "That would make a lot of sense! He always tries to act so tough, but he was trying to hide his true feelings all along! The feminine charm must come from that! I understand that you do not want to oust him but it is alright because I already had a hunch he had a soft spot for us men. Do you think he has a crush on me? I know my good looks are so amazing but I only have eyes for the ladies. Such a shame, I'll have to find a way to let him down easy."

I could feel myself grow more tired the more Tamaki decided to speak, however, the nice shade of red on Kaoru's face looks promising for Alex.

"Uh, boss, that's great and all but what about Haruhi? Do you think she would take their offer?" Hikaru's question made Tamaki realize it was not the time to consider how to let Alex down easy, but instead to figure out how to stop Haruhi from leaving the club.

"Well, let's think about it. Haruhi is basically indifferent to, or even, has a preference for males clothing. And when she joined the club she said she didn't mind the attention from girls. She might actually be more fitted for Lobellia's Zuka Club, and they can pay off her debt." Tamaki dejectedly pointed out.

"So it actually wouldn't affect her negatively if she would choose to transfer. She actually might enjoy their atmosphere much more than ours." I agreed.

"Men! I have an idea!" Tamaki pulled out his whiteboard to start explaining his plan.

[TIME SKIP- Alex's POV]

Despite being on the school grounds yesterday, I only just now realized that there were signs saying that there were other schools performing cultural exhibitions at Ouran.

"Oh, so that's why Lobellia was here yesterday." I point to the sign that says 'Day 2'.

"I guess so. But we didn't run into them today, so they must be busy with their performance." Haruhi mentioned. "We need to get to the club room, we are already running late because you stopped to read all of the signs."

"Nobody told me what I've missed so I have to read all the posts to keep up." I pouted while following her to Music Room 3. "Maybe I wanted to go see some performances! We should ditch the club and go check it out."

"I'd rather just do my job and then get out of here."

Right as we turn the corner, we notice three familiar figures standing in front of the club door.

Haruhi spoke too soon. It was the Zuka Club girls.

"Hello, ladies! We have come for your decision! We are here to set it straight once and for all that you both should come with us and be with your own kind." Benibara grabbed Haruhi and started to pull her to the club doors. The two other girls went for my arms but I explained that there was no need to touch me since I was going to follow anyway.

The girls pushed open the door and for some reason, the lights in the club room were off.

"I should've checked out the cultural exhibition." I groaned.

Suddenly a backlight turned on and figures began to stand while singing "Ouran".

"What in the actual?" I questioned as more figures popped up. Each of them singing horribly off-key, and the collective sound was deafening.

The lights turned on to show each of the members dressed in… drag?

I quickly took out my phone to take pictures of each of the hosts. And when I took Kyoya's picture, I made sure to send it to his sister.

"Ouran! Welcome to!" They each said in unison. I shivered from the ugly sound.

"What is this?! Are you trying to make fun of womankind?" Benibara was offended by their sudden display.

"That is not the plan. Our strategy will make even a crying child smile!" Tamaki fluttered his eyes while pulling a fan up to his face.

"I don't know about that." I deadpanned.

"This is the freebie campaign!" Tamaki joined the others and then began to blatantly insult Haruhi. "You see ladies, commoners are weak to freebies. Haruhi, I know you are distracted by the Zuka Club, but if you choose us you not only gain a club full of brothers but sisters as well!"

"I think. I think I'm going to go sit down." I felt a headache form as the colors and the sound of the display in front of me was becoming all too much for me to handle. Haruhi blankly stared at Tamaki so I went to sit on a nearby couch while the other guys danced around in their dresses.

"You see Haruhi! This is how you can experience female bonding while staying in the host club!" Tamaki finished explaining his grand idea, while the twins decided to speak in squeaky high-pitched voices.

"Isn't this too much?! This is how you plan to win her over?" Benibara screamed at them.

And as if something snapped, Haruhi began to laugh. She was rolling around the floor with tears coming out of her eyes.

"I knew you guys were goof-balls but I don't even know what you were trying to do here!" She slapped the floor while hugging herself.

"We did this because we don't want you to leave the Host Club, Haruhi," Hikaru explained.

"Well, maidens. Have you both made a choice?" Benibara asked calmly while sending glares to the Host Club.

"Yeah, I think the idea of an all girl's school is great. And I think your ideas and views are really interesting. But the thing is that I came to this school with a plan and a future, so while I appreciate your offer, I knew I was never going to leave Ouran. Sorry." Haruhi smiled up at Benibara sincerely.

"Aww, Haruhi!" Tamaki leaped towards her to get a hug but then suddenly a look of realization hit him. "Wait a minute! If you knew you weren't leaving then why did you act so mad yesterday?"

"Well, how would YOU feel if you have something of yours stolen?!" Haruhi poked at Tamaki's chest.

While Tamaki was apologizing the Lobellia girls turned to me.

"And what about you, fair maiden?" Benibara asked

I got up from the couch and headed towards them.

"I'm sorry, but I have some things here that are holding me back. I would've loved to join your club though." I smiled while scratching the back of my neck.

"Well, I guess we will take our leave for now. Just know we are not going to give up on your both. Someday we will rescue you from this place!" Benibara announced for everyone to hear.

"Would you like me to walk you out of the school? I know it is easy to get lost." I asked but they shook their heads.

"It is quite alright. Thank you very much." Benibara brought my hand to her lips and planted a kiss on it. "I look forward to seeing you again."

The moment they left the room, I looked down at my hand to see the stamp of Benibara's lips her red lipstick left behind. I frowned, holding my hand as if it was injured while looking through my bag for some make-up wipes. Once I was able to pull the container from my bag I pulled out a wipe and vigorously rubbed my hand. After I wiped the remaining residue off of my hand I looked up to see the Host Club all watching my movements.

"Lipstick can stain and I didn't want to rub it on something accidentally. I also suggest you all remove your make up because you all look ridiculous. Next time let me know, I'll do your make up for you." I pointed at their insanely-pigmented eyeshadow that wasn't blended well. "Do you need make-up wipes?"

"Why do you have make-up wipes, A-chan?" Honey-senpai asked confused but still going to grab a wipe.

"Don't worry about it." I watched as Honey-senpai shrugged and started to viciously rub his face with the wipe. "Oh my god, stop. You are going to ruin your skin senpai. Can I do it?" I stopped him, but Honey-senpai seemed happy to hand the now-ripped wipe to me. His eyeshadow and lipstick was smudged all around his face, so once I grabbed a new wipe, I started to gently clean him up.

"You have really pretty eyes, A-chan." Honey-senpai complemented, making me lose my focus and feel embarrassed. "A-chan, you are blushing." I felt more heat travel to my face with that comment.

"Honey-senapi, can you please stop talking? I can't clean your face when you are moving." I tried to calm myself. "Close your eyes senpai."

The moment Honey-senpai was done he started to jump around saying that his face felt so light and refreshed.

"Does anyone else need help?" I asked the guys to see that they all just stared back. "Kyoya, come sit down. If the rest of you can do it on your own, then go ahead and do it. Or if you need help then just sit and wait for your turn." To my surprise, Kyoya came over to sit so I could clean his face.

I looked up to see that Kaoru had sat down, while Tamaki and Hikaru were going to grab a wipe until Haruhi decided to jump in.

"I can help too. I kind of feel bad since you all did this for me." The moment she spoke those words, Tamaki and Hikaru both sat down, waiting to be called on. Mori-senpai was the only one who wasn't wearing make-up so he and Honey-senpai went to change.

With Haruhi helping, I tried to take my time with Kyoya to avoid the next person who wants help.

'Sorry Kyoya, I'm going to hold you here as long as I can.'

"You did this to yourself, you know that right?" Kyoya whispered "You didn't have to offer to help. I can feel how tense you are."

"I know. I don't know what came over me." I sighed quietly.

"Honey-senpai was right, though. Your eyes are really pretty but you also look half-dead." He continued to whisper.

"You are so rude." I gasped "Go, I'm done with you." I shooed him off.

"Enjoy your time. You couldn't keep me here forever." He smirked at me while walking off.

I just gaped at him, following with my eyes as he walked off. 'He knew what I was trying to do.'

"Hey, H-" I started before I was interrupted.

"Hikaru, come over here, I finished with Tamaki," Haruhi called out, smiling at me while I just looked anxiously at her.

"Um, Kaoru… You can come over here now. I finished with Kyoya."

Kaoru made his way over and sat down without looking me in the eye. "Can you do my eyes first?" He asked while closing his eyes.

"Um, yeah. Of course. Is it, uh, is it okay if I touch your face?" He nodded and so I delicately placed my fingers at the bottom of his chin, turning his head to the left, so I could work on his left eye. "Let me know if it hurts." I made sure to put very little pressure, slowly wiping away the bright green on his upper lid.

'Should I say something? This is so awkward.' I felt myself start to get sweaty in my armpits. 'Did I put deodorant on this morning? Do I smell? What about my breath? Does my breath smell bad?' I held my breath and turned his head to the right to work on his other eye.

"How are you feeling?" Kaoru asked quietly "Are you doing better?"

"Yeah, I'm okay… still sore, but I'll be okay." I responded weakly, turning my head so I don't breathe on him.

After a moment of silence, he responded. "That's good."

More silence followed.

"I'm done with your eyes, you can open them if you want," I said as I grabbed another wipe.

He slowly opened his eyes but kept looking off to the side as I removed the orangey blush from his cheeks.

"Can you open your mouth a little? I'm going to do your lips." He complied, and I put all of my focus into the bright pink he had on. 'The color complements his skin.' I couldn't help but stare at them for a while until I heard Kyoya clear his throat at the other side of the room. Heat erupted all over my face, reaching my ears. 'That is so embarrassing.'

My throat felt dry as I used the wipe and ran my covered finger over his lower lip, and then over his top lip. My lips were definitely chapped, and unconsciously I swiped my tongue across it. It was at that point that I could feel eyes focusing on me, but I didn't want to look up to check if it was Kaoru.

Slowly maneuvering the make-up wipe, I went over the corners of his mouth and made sure that none of the lipsticks smudged onto his skin. After cleaning the rest of his face, I finally looked up to see Kaoru staring at me. I closed my mouth, not noticing when I had opened it to begin with.

"You're done." I faintly informed him, before moving away from him and closing my wipe container and throwing it in my bag.

"Alex, you look really red. Do you have a fever or something?" Tamaki asked from next to Haruhi. Hikaru looked up from his phone to see what was going on, while Haruhi was giggling to herself which made my face even hotter. "What is funny Haruhi?"

"I'm fine! Bye guys, I'll see you." I jumped off the couch and quickly made my way out.

'I'm an idiot.'
