"Well, a deal's a deal. Let's go look around for that fighter, then." Jun commented, before noticing Azure pointing.

"I...don't think they're even trying to hide at this point." Azure commented, as a boy with dark purple hair with a red streak in it was being surrounded by grown adults, who didn't look pleased.

"Huh, so this is the underground. Way to make a guy feel welcome." The boy sarcastically remarked. "So, If I were to ask one little teensy question...who among you is the strongest cardfighter?" The boy asked, as the grown adults...started laughing.

"You're out of your league, kid. You should just run home to mommy before you realize what a real underground fight is." The biggest-looking man commented. "Because otherwise, I may have to give you that 'warm welcome' you wanted." The man said, Ray's eyes seeming to sparkle.

"Ooh! A stereotypical big tough guy! If you're the strongest, then I want a cardfight with you!" He said, acting like a child, as the man flinched.

"Uh...What's wrong with you, kid? Were you dropped or something? But fine, If you want a taste of the underground, I'll bring it to you!" The man said. "Because nobody disrespects the great Bruce like that!" Bruce said.

"...Oh. I was expecting a cooler name than 'Bruce'...Maybe like, 'Bruce the Destroyer', or 'Bruce the Relentless'...Can't you underground people have a little more pizzazz?" The boy asked, seemingly disappointed, as Bruce just had a visible anger mark.

"Well what's YOUR stupid name, kid?! Probably 'Bob' or something!" Bruce said, angrily, as the boy's eyes sparkled again.

"Ah, my name! Of course! To my fellow classmates, I'm known as 'Ray Kazana', but to you underground people, I'm known as..." Ray started, before his smile became a little less reassuring. "The Reaper." He said, Bruce's eyes slightly widening, before composing himself and laughing.

"Right...A kid like you, the reaper that's been taking down underground fight circuits himself..? There's no way you'd just be some kid...I think you need to be taught a lesson, so put on the electric Neo-Fight System, and prepare for a beating like no other!" Bruce declared, putting the gloves on.

"Are we sure it's a good idea to let them do this..?" Azure asked, Jun putting a hand in front of him.

"It's a worse idea to try and interrupt. We should see if this 'Ray' kid is the real deal or not." Jun remarked, as Ray held a finger up.

"Considering how weak you look as a fighter...I'll probably beat you in one stride." Ray said.

"Tough talk...Why don't you go first, so I can pummel you with MY first stride?!" Bruce declared, as Ray started laughing.

"That sounds like more fun, so why not? Go ahead and give it a shot." Ray said, putting the gloves on.

"He sure seems confident..." Drake remarked. "Still, there's no mistake...That kid goes to our school." He said.

"Well, what do you know about him as a fighter?" Jun asked.

"I don't know, he never fought anybody in school, people tended to avoid him. I never understood why. Just some rumors about his mother being a little too comparable to a pair of scissors. Never saw that as a reason to avoid him, but I never really got many opportunities to talk to the guy." Drake said.

"I see..." Jun remarked. "Still, if the Reaper of the underground who's busted a few circuits already is really some kid...He must be a really powerful fighter."

"If he's really as powerful as he claims to be...Then he really would make a perfect addition to Azure Crimson, wouldn't he?" Azure asked.

"Definitely, although I don't know how that new member you got, Marisa, would feel about him. After all, plenty of girls have gathered together talking about how 'dangerous' Ray seems." Drake commented.

"I'm sure she wouldn't mind, as long as he's on our side..." Azure said, before hearing Ray speak up.

"Oh, hey there. New kid from school, Gold Paladin guy, and Drake, right? I dunno who that girl who looks related to the new girl is, though." Ray remarked. "Or you, black-haired dude." He commented, waving, as the group sweatdropped.

"...My name is Jun." Jun remarked, as Drake just sighed.

"Kyros, Azure, Azure's sister Kristall. We came because of the rumors about somebody taking down the underground circuits themselves. We were wondering if a fighter like you could possibly join our Vanguard team." Drake said, as Ray seemed to stare right at Azure, before a purple glow shined in their black eyes, Azure's eyes slightly widening.

"Oh? Seems like your leader's got some awareness..." Ray muttered to himself, before shaking his head. "Yeah, sure, why not? I'll join. I got nothing better to do, anyways." He remarked.

"You have a fight to lose to BRUCE! now STOP IGNORING HIM!" Bruce commented, resting his vanguard, as Ray casually tossed a card without looking at the fight.

"Complete guard. Your triple drive's probably not gonna have any triggers, for all I know, but whatever." Ray remarked, tossing a card into the drop zone.

"He's fighting without even looking at him..." Azure commented.

"That's not all...Look at the damage count, Ray's barely been paying attention to the fight, and still winning by a large margin." Kristall pointed out, as Ray's turn came around.

"Well, guess I should keep my word and finish this with my one stride." Ray said, before tossing a card into the drop zone, as Azure looked closer at the cards and realized something.

Wait a minute...What is that clan..?! Azure wondered, before with the Vanguard's attack, and triple drive...it was already over, Bruce falling to the ground in pain with the shocks, Ray tossing off the gloves and walking over.

"Well, that settles that. Say, Leader guy, can I talk to you for a minute?" Ray asked, Azure looking at the others, who nodded, before looking over at Ray.

"Um...Sure." Azure said, walking off with Ray, who then looked him in the eyes.

"So...Wild guess. Psyqualia. Talk to your units, go to Cray in your sleep." Ray commented.

"How'd you..?" Azure said, shocked, Ray shrugging.

"Well, you're the only one who found it weird when I activated it in front of you. Maybe your sister wasn't paying attention, though, but...You're the leader of the team, so I had to figure that out fast. Although it looks like we have the same type of it. The one that doesn't tell us how a fight will end, but the one that lets us go to Cray in our sleep." Ray commented.

"Wait...You didn't know how the fight would end...then how'd you pull that play off..?!" Azure asked, surprised...as Ray shrugged.

"Eh. I'm just pretty lucky." Ray commented.
