Chapter 34: It's the Rule

Naruto's Log

It seems my good luck steak has been semi-shot. The Shy Snake, Shinobu, was freed before she could be put in jail. I did get the reward money for her capture, but I fear Joshinari may take it out of beating me senseless. The only reason he is not doing that is his universe is under lockdown. No one coming into Zen-Kuro, no one leaving. So, I got time. The Butterfly family now works under me…and it's pleasing to have servants of various sizes and shape. With Hiruzen deciding to finally retire from being the Hokage, there's the matter of Tsunade…

Naruto stopped writing before moaning out with a flushed look of pleasure. Naruto sat on his desk within his office, but his pants were at his ankles as a warm mouth was polishing his knob.

"Well, Moon. While your skills are admirable, Star was literally here a while ago doing the same to convince me not to get into your pants." Naruto said as Moon paused with a scandalous look. "Ironically, you two jumped the gun because I had even considered using your asses…yet."

Yugao came through the door telling him that the Hokage was calling for a meeting of the clan heads before leaving.

"Well, I can't go to the meeting unfinished." Naruto said putting his logbook aside. "Come on up, we'll use the desk."

"Only if you swear not to touch Star." Moon said only for Naruto to roll her eyes. "At least hold off for a while."

"I can do that." Naruto said as Moon got on the desk.

At the meeting room, the clan heads all gathered except for three: Kakashi, Sasuke, and Naruto.

"Where the hell are these guys?" Tsume snapped. "Marla's here and she slept-walked her way in."

Naruto arrived in the meeting place all dressed up in the former Uzumaki kimono like the last meeting.

"I'm sorry for the lateness. One of my servants was in the midst of working on me. Long story." Naruto said taking his seat before unsealing a scroll revealing a tin of cookies. "My way of saying sorry."

Yin took several still glaring the young Uzumaki. Sasuke came in next clearly adjusting to his new weights.

"I'm sorry, but I think I overdid a bit." Sasuke said walking as if his legs were made of lead.

"Enough for strained movement, not completely restrictive." Choza warned knowingly.

"Thanks." Sasuke said. "But a little help."

Kaisha aided in removing the leg ones allowing Sasuke to stumble into his seat next to Naruto.

"I know you want to match up, but don't strain yourself, man." Naruto said earnestly. "I can't overdo it either."

"Hmph, you're overdoing it and mine are two different." Sasuke said snatching a cookie. "So, out of the doghouse with Tenten?"

"No." Naruto muttered.

Kakashi arrived after a half and hour clearly just rolling out of bed. No excuses from his mouth, he just sat down half-awake.

"Now that you all are here. I was to announce a few things. A bit of a stop to immigration from out of planet for the moment for us to readjust and organize ourselves. Secondly, I want to announce my retirement as Hokage…and naming my successor." Hiruzen said before asking if anyone had any questions.

One civilian councilman asked if he was naming Naruto as the successor.

"I am going to have to say no." Naruto said.

"He's the backup in case, Tsunade Senju doesn't. Or if Kakashi doesn't take it." Hiruzen said with a sigh. "I'll have to make a mission to…"

Naruto wasted no time, sensing Tsunade's chakra was not too hard. Naruto used Instant Transmission to simply catch her in the midst of leaving town with Shizune, grabbed them both, and teleport back to the meeting room.

"Ok, what the hell?!" Tsunade said looking around.

"Welcome home, my child." Hiruzen said with a wry grin.

"Home?! We're in Konoha, but how…" Shizune said only for Naruto point out he did that.

Tsunade had Naruto by his throat demanding to know who dared laid a hand on her.

"Naruto Uzumaki. You know, your family that you never visited." Naruto said glaring at her which got her to loosen her grip. "I should stop this, but no….I bring you to accept the title of Hokage."

"Hokage?!" Tsunade bellowed. "Absolutely not!"

"Well, I guess the world's strongest kunoichi can't handle being the first female Hokage. Oh well, let's give it to a kunoichi who's worth a shit." Naruto said icily.

"Can't handle it! It's a fool's job." Tsunade said.

Before Naruto could lunge at her, it was Shizune who slapped her first.

"Tsunade, I know that you're in pain, but that gives you no right to insult the position as Hokage. Clearly Hiruzen-sama thinks you deserve the title, you could at least not like a child, and respectfully decline." Shizune said completely frustrated.

Tonton whined in agreement as Tsunade looked bemused that Shizune suddenly grow a spine.

"I…I…you're right." Tsunade said with a sigh before turning to Hiruzen. "Old man, before I make my decision. Who else is in consideration?"

"Hatake, Jiraiya, and Naruto." Hiruzen said gesturing to Naruto.

"Wha-this brat? Is he the next Itachi?" Tsunade asked Sasuke twitched.

"Pretty much." Shikaku said.

Tsunade took one look at Naruto and accepted the position. She could tell Naruto was not ready to fully lead a nation, but she did want to punish him a bit. Thus, she had an idea.

"My first act is name Naruto is apart of my advisors." Tsunade said deviously.

"But he's barely made jonin!" Homura protested. "He needs more time to grow into a seasoned shinobi."

"He's good, but I'd be more assured when he has more experience." Koharu said looking to Naruto. "No offense."

"It's time, and if you want my advice, then I'll give it. I'll be blunt before I quit. Cut down on the drinking, train up your body, see a psychologist about your fear of blood, and work on your core." Naruto said politely. "And your ass is looking a little fat from the drinking."

The stuttering Tsunade watched as Naruto literally tap dance out of the room as the two old crones started laughing. As Naruto came to the door, he told her that he quit her advisory board.

"You asked for it." Hiruzen said. "And he's not wrong about your…"

WHAM! Hiruzen was punched through a wall today, but at least they had a new Kage. The days would pass and Tsunade was officially inaugurated as Hokage. She celebrated at the bar with friends, namely Jiraiya.

"Tsunade, it's good to see you back in Konoha. You should ease up on the drinking." Jiraiya said with a hint of concern.

"I can control my…is that a wedding ring?" Tsunade said pointing to the offending band on his finger.

"Why yes, Na-chan. I'm off the market." Jiraiya teased.

Tsunade asked what woman who marry him to which Haruka and Kasumi entered introducing themselves to Tsunade and Shizune's horror. Jiraiya, in a way, got his wish. Haruka was Tsunade's twin in figure and looks as was Kasumi to Shizune. Tsunade lost her feeling for another drink and went ahead home with the thought that there were two women willing to marry Jiraiya of all people!

"They have to be brainwashed." Tsunade muttered.

"Or equally perverted." Naruto said walking up. "Just checking on family. You all right?"

"Just a bit shocked. Konoha's changed…everything's just different ever since I was thrown into the 'warper loop'." Tsunade said with a sigh. "I didn't expect all this."

"I know I said I'd quit your board, but I'll come back." Naruto remarked looking at Tsunade's eyes. "While you're physically strong, I've got more experience in warper matters. And don't ask how, long story."

"Under one condition, you never bring up my ass again." Tsunade said sternly.

"Deal." Naruto said. "Now there's a lady I want you to meet. She's a huge fan of yours, and if you help me out…I can get out of the doghouse with her."

"What makes you think I'll help you?" Tsunade asked incredulously.

Naruto offered to get rid of some of her gambling debts. Sure, he had to dump nearly half a mil to get her to argue, but the smile on Tenten's face as she got to meet her hero was all the more worth it. Even if it did not get him completely out of the doghouse. At the moment, Tenten was laying on top of Naruto on the couch as the 'family' gathered to watch television.

"Thanks for letting me meet Tsunade." Tenten said.

"Anything for you." Naruto said as his phone buzzed. "Hm?"

Hinata took it up for him looking at who it's from.

"It's a text message from Merch." Hinata said giving it to him.

Naruto took a look at the message and went rather pale at it. Everyone in the room could sense it.

"Kit, we're in deep shit, are we?" Kurama asked.

Naruto worriedly got up ignoring the calls from Hinata, Ino, Hanabi, Tenten, Fū, Temari, and Kin. He had got out of here and they followed him up to the roof where Naruto looked out into the sky.

[Cues: Tension - Naruto Original Soundtrack]

"Naruto, please talk to us." Hinata pleaded. "What's wrong?"

"What was in that massage that got you all froze up?" Ino asked hands on her waist.

"It was a warning. An old enemy of mine had managed to slip out from death's door…again. No one knows where she is…and that's what has me scared." Naruto said. "Besides, this one and I have history. I fear she may pull what I did in the past to escape her."

"But you can take her, right?" Temari asked.

"Temari, I never told you or any of this, but I am afraid of Rebecca. In my past before I any of this, before I became Naruto…she used to be my girlfriend." Naruto said shaking. "And by today's standards, I'd be called a lowly simp. She? A crazy thot. The woman's a psycho…and I think she planned for this."

"What makes you say that?" Tenten asked.

"Because no person would convert themselves to be fully robotic. Especially a Saiyan. When I heard of Turbo Mecha Rebecca, I knew it was all bullshit. A rush job to keep her ass in the land of the living. Everyone fears Mecha Sonic, but she did not have an inkling of the robo-hog's power or at least did not have the power to keep up the illusion. Especially considering to make a suitable robotic body of that caliber takes time. Time she could not possibly have considering transferring your flames gives you a limited time to get to another source before you die." Naruto explained. "She was biding time…until she could get a suitable body. I fear she may look to my universe for it."

"Here?" Kin asked.

"No, she's not stupid. She would not risk me discovering her attempt. Plus, she would need a non-warper's body to hijack. Considering this village is practically majority on the warper side of things…she would not come here. But out there…every other village is fair game."

Oorchimaru returned to his base furious that he could not find hair nor hide of Tsunade. With Kabuto dead, Oorchimaru found himself limited on a suitable replacement. The woman who got him on the warper path was competent but was not the organizer that Kabuto was. Isaribi was at least useful at providing new ways to help, so it was not a complete loss.

"Isaribi. Status report and please tell me you know where Tsunade is." Oorchimaru said walking to see her at the desk.

"Well, I sent a team out on a mission. As for Tsunade, she was just named Hokage and was sworn in." Isaribi said turning a monitor to show the news report.

"But how? The canon story stated it would have taken months to get to her!" Oorchimaru said furiously.

"Well it's clear, canon is practically broken." Isaribi said with a sigh. "We need to start on forming a warper ninja village. Maybe get the Akatusi under us."

"Those psychos with the warper's secret, no…that would be disastrous. For now, the less who know the better." Oorchimaru said rubbing his chin. "I'll be able to absorb more that way."

"Sure, it leaves your village open. We should really move out of Oto to someplace else all considering." Isaribi said knowingly. "I've packed our things, and I managed to pin down a place we can take over, the Land of Forests. We just have to wait for Team Guren and the Sound Five."

"Quite, I shall be retiring for the night." Oorchimaru remarked going off to his room.

[Elsewhere]

Tayuya pegged herself as a survivor. She joined Oorchimaru because it was either be a tool for him or scraping in the streets having to risk life and limb for a bit of good. Thus, she endured under him, and while she appeared to a brash and foul-mouthed, it was mostly to keep people away. Under Oorchimaru, she grew strong. One would think she would be loyal. While that was the case normally, not this time. She discovered that Oorchimaru had killed her father…and Kabuto killed her mother. Both were against Oorchimaru moving into the Land of Sound but were…silenced. That alone got Tayuya seething. However, it was the meeting she had with a fisherman from Neo Uzu. The Sound Four had attacked a harbor to rob ships. Tayuya took the one from Neo Uzu. The fisherman did not want to die or lose his valuables, so he blurted out the warper's secret. Her subsequent mental breakdown allowed him to throw off the ship and sail away. Sure, she was the butt of jokes, but that secret opened her eyes to knowledge. Basically, she was planning to flee Oto when she made enough money all the while learning to improve her skills under everyone's nose. Despite all this, never was she gladder to be self-aware then right now.

The attack was nothing short of a massacre. What her group came across into was most of Team Guren dead save for the leader and Yūkimaru who were restrained. What they saw was one figure, a teenage boy with an eyepatch and a stoic look holding what appears to a metallic sphere…that spoke. Tayuya sensed the warper energy of the two of them.

"Well, well, Guren. Congratulations. Sure, you're not Kaguya…or any character important. But you're just enough for me to take over…nobody would miss a filler character." The sphere said with malice in her voice. "Mortimer, release me and deal with these interlopers."

"Yeah, sure. Just say not to fuck it up like your last body." Mortimer said pushing a button before dropping it in Guren's lap. "Now…let's put my new gear into test."

If it's one thing that Tayuya came to realize, she was a small fish in an ocean. Thus, she did not want to fight Mortimer because he was an unknown. She did not want to take chances.

"I sense we have company. Probably the Sound Four considering you can sense the putrid aura of those curse seals." The metallic sphere said before asking Mortimer to deal with them. Don't destroy Jirōbō's body, I need his DNA. Also don't kill Tayuya…we can sell her on the slave marker."

[Cues: Code Lyoko OST : William Theme & Action]

Guren could only scream in agony as bio-electricity shocked her and felt as if the sphere was injecting something into her to push her out. Yūkimaru could only pitifully worse Guren in pain. As for Mortimer, he decided to try out his new 'toys', ones that the Sound Four recognized.

Kiba, the twin thunder swords, of the Seven Swords of the Mist. Given they were coated in blood and Mortimer clearly was not a mist ninja, Tayuya decided to leave. She lowered her energy best.

"Where the hell is that...gyakk!" Kidomaru said before one of Kiba was shoved through his throat by Mortimer.

"Honestly, you don't know what you're messing with." Mortimer said tearing the blade out. "Neither did the swordswoman who used to own these swords."

Sakon and Ukon managed to surprise Mortimer with a double sucker punch. He sheathed the blades before producing a grey sphere with blue dots around it a circle.

"While I want to fight you, I need to deal with fatso over there." Mortimer said with a sneer. "So, I'll have Peppermint to deal with him."

Out from a sphere came a creature that Tayuya recognized. A Pokémon. More specifically, a Mismagius. Peppermint let out a cry which got the remaining sound ninja's vision hazy. Jirōbō saw nothing but rotten and moldy food around him, Sakon and Ukon saw their body melting while frantically trying to keep it together, and Tayuya did not see the cliff she run off of…falling into the waters below.

"Peppermint, do what must be done. Kill the fat one, but don't destroy the corpse." Mortimer said before turning to Sakon and Ukon. "Now come and fight me."

Sakon and Ukon came with an open barrage of multiple punches and kicks which Mortimer made effort to either block, tank, or parry. As for Jirōbō, he kept trying to punch her, but being Peppermint was a ghost…this was futile.

"Mismagi…mismagi…MISMAGIUS!" Peppermint cried as her eyes turned blue.

Jirōbō fall over fast asleep and the demented Pokémon possessed the body to 'play with her prey' in their dreams. Mortimer's confident smirk did nothing but infuriate the twins as their fight was relatively even.

"You know, I figured you would have just used your precious cursed seal to kill me, unless your kekkai genkai isn't worth the time!" Mortimer said punching Sakon into a tree. "But let me show you a trick."

With a glowing hand of ki, he grabbed Sakon and peeled Ukon out of him before tossing him aside. Mortimer merely slashed Sakon's throat before turning to a terrified Ukon. Before Ukon could do anything, Peppermint phased into his body to burn it from the inside with Mystical Fire. Yūkimaru was close to freeing himself, but it was too late. Guren…she was long gone, and Rebecca had taken over. Mortimer freed her.

[Music Ends]

"Is the body to your liking?" Mortimer asked with raised eyebrow. "Figured you'd go for Tayuya's body."

"The figure's nice, but the clothes had to go." She said looking at herself using a crystal mirror. "Regardless, I live again in an actual body. This time, I think I'll keep the name. So, please Mortimer…call me Guren."

"Are you planning something?" Mortimer asked.

"Yes, I am. The reason why I have lost is because I didn't bide my time. I didn't probably plan, but not this time. If I am going to reclaim the Metsu Emeralds and the Sol ones to get to the Altar, I need to train and build myself up as much as possible." Guren said. "And to do so, I must shed my old name and the world must think Rebecca is dead to the wind. So, we'll let the people hope."

Out from Guren's lower back…was a Saiyan tail.

"And besides, if my old ex is able to make a success out of his name…so can I!" Guren said with a laugh. "Now…what do with this cutie?"

Yūkimaru freed himself, but Guren raised a wall of crystal in front of him. He smacked into it and fell on his butt.

"Now now, Yuki. I'm going to make you a real man." Guren said with a predatory look.

"Actually, I'd rather you not molest him. I want the body…I may as well get myself a new body. I always did look too plain." Mortimer said looking down at Yūkimaru. "And we can use Oorchimaru's lab to alter ourselves."

Down the river, Tayuya would float on the current. Her mind awash with fear, but Peppermint's mental trickery had left her mind a mess. Messy enough to leave a few mental scars. A contrivance that would allow the woman that once was Rebecca to stay under everyone's noses.

(A/N: Who bother to be a real villain for Naruto…then another geist just as knowledgeable about the series as him. This had to be done as I needed to do something with Rebecca. And this was just perfect. I had set this madwoman up as a multi-series threat. For those who don't know, here's the short version.

Rebecca Dill is/was a member of Warper Elite Council who oversee reality warper affairs. She was a former member of Time Patroller apart of the Zangyaku Ten, a rather vicious group. That group mostly dissolved once she and Jeremy Kris (another member) became Councilmembers. As you all already know, she met Satoshi, they dated, she tried to kill him, and he ended up as Naruto. Rebecca was betrayed by Kris and the other councilmembers for generally being a corrupt asshole and booted off the council. She was killed, but cheated death through bodyjacking. In short, she's bloodthirsty and hungry for power to rise to her former glory. If you want more details to her past, you can go read 'Ryo vs the Xenoverse'.

Either way, Part 1 is practically over. So, the next chapter will wrap it all up to a close before we move to Shippuden.)
