Chapter 24- His Bike

{Bloom's POV}

I wake up right before my ass hits the floor. I yelp as my poor butt makes contact with the hard wood as groan in pain. What the hell? I look to the bed and see a mop of blonde hair on the pillow where my head had previously been. Did this little fucker just- I tried not to imagine strangling him before sighing and sitting on the bed. Memories of the night before came back to me and I blushed. (A/N No, they didn't do THAT). Oh god, just the thought of it was making my heart go a million miles per hour.

Trying to take my mind off things, I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and shit like that. Remind me to thank Flo later for putting my things in the bathroom. I washed my face and very nearly screamed as I looked in the mirror, finding odd dark shapes on me. Holy shit. There we're hickies. Hickies. Plural. Not one, not two, not even three bloody hickies but 4: two on the left side of my neck, one at the bottom of my collarbone and one near the top of my crop top, centimetres above my breast. Muttering a string of profanities in a variety of languages, I storm out of the bathroom. The day Brandon will have when he sees this. Correction: these. I look at the still-sleeping guy on the bed and narrow my eyes. I give him a once-over, lingering way too long in certain places. I take in his sandy-blonde hair, his muscular body, imagining the beautiful eyes under his shut eyelids. I remember how he made me laugh last night, how he made me happy, angry, frustrated, and confused and all these jumbled up emotions that are way too complex for my simple human brain. I gaze at his lips and remember all the things they did mere hours ago. It's all almost enough to make me forget why I'm mad. Almost.

I look in the mirror again to see how bad the hickies are. Oh dear god, they're really dark, what the hell happened last night? I groan and press my forehead against the wall in horror. This sound seems to wake up the reason for all my suffering- also known as Sky -and he walks up towards me. He inspects all 4 of them with a raised eyebrow before smirking.
"What the fuck! I'm freaking out and all you do is smile? I am very close to bitch slapping you," I whisper-yelled since there were other people in this house. After my curses and well-deserved threat, all Sky does is wrap his arms around me from behind and pulls me close to him. No matter how nice and warm I feel right now; I still have a few choice words about my problem. I open my mouth but the words die in my throat as he plants a soft kiss on my cheek. A pink blush spreads against my face at even this small action and I'm sure he notices.
"You done?" He asks softly. I think for a moment before taking a deep breath.
"Yeah," I say before giving out a small yelp when he turns me around so I'm staring right into his eyes. He slowly inches his face and kisses me. (A/N I can hear you saying 'mOrNiNg BrEaTh' so just pretend that he magically brushed his teeth. She's already brushed her teeth) I immediately wrap my arms around his neck as he puts his hands lightly on my waist. Just as he's about to deepen the kiss, I drop one of my hands and grab a pillow. I pull back and swing the pillow into his side. I snort at his surprised expression but it stops as he picks up a pillow as well.

I jump onto the bed as he lunges at me. I have to bite my lip to keep my laughter in as he stumbles and nearly face-plants. Suddenly, he's on the bed as well, a huge grin and tackled me. His hands went on my stomach and neck as he starts mercilessly tickling me. I squirm under his touch but he doesn't stop.
"S-Sky. Sto...stop," I manage to get out between laughter. I desperately try to push him off and he ends up falling off the bed. Well, at least I got my payback. After laughing until my stomach hurt, I help him up and he swiftly grabs my chin and kisses me. I kiss back eagerly, resting my hands on his shoulders. He pushes me closer to him and I grip him tighter as he slowly deepens the kiss.

Hey stomach, could you please stop doing those damn backflips? If my physical body can't do it then you shouldn't be able to either.

2 weeks later...

Have you ever had a night where, no matter what you do, no matter how you do it, you just can't get to sleep? Well, welcome to me at 2am tonight. I had spent 2 hours trying to get comfortable and finally fall asleep but nothing's working. I had this feeling that something was going to happen and I needed to be awake for it. Or maybe I just had too much sugar.

Sighing in frustration when I realised that the starfish position wasn't helping my alertness, I got out of bed and picked a book from the bookcase at the side of my wall. It was one of my favourites, a crime novel. Something just intrigued me to no end when there's a (fictional) serial killer on the loose and you're his next target. Yeah, I know that this is weird. I settled in my bed, pulling the covers up to my armpits and leaning against the pillow. I smiled before opening up to the marked page.

I had gotten through about 50 pages when I heard something shuffling behind me. I whipped my head around and slowly scanned the room but found nothing. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion because I knew that I had heard something. I got up cautiously and placed my book on the bed. If there's one thing I learnt from my father who was an actual gang leader, was that you should never let your guard down at even the slightest hint of danger. I felt a presence behind me, pressing against my back. Upon instinct, I grabbed their wrists and twisted them painfully while turning around. The person yelped in pain and I was just about to knock them out when I saw electric blue eyes. I dropped his hands like hot coals and then just stared at him in shock and slight annoyance.
"Well, that's one way to make me sore," Sky joked, rubbing his wrists. I snapped out of my trance to smack him lightly on the shoulder.
"What the hell Sky, you scared me!" I sighed and took his hands and began rubbing it myself. He cast me a sheepish smile before pulling me closer. I ignored the rapid rate of my heart and carried looking down at his hands.
"I wanted to see what you would do!" He protested and I touched my temple in exasperation.
"1, you're an idiot. 2, how the hell did you get in? 3, why the hell are you here?" I questioned
"I am not an idiot and I got in through your balcony window. As to why I'm here," he paused and put his lips dangerously close to my ear. "I am taking you on a date," he whispered
"At 2am?" I asked
"Pretty much," he said before taking my hand and gave it a small kiss. Bye bye common sense. I placed my hand behind his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. As if he knew what I was going to do, he captured my lips halfway. My fingers threaded through his soft hair as he walked me backwards until my calves hit my bed.

5 minutes later I broke off from his lips, panting. Damn oxygen, always ruining my moments.
"Where are you going?" He asked as I stood up from the bed.
"I believe someone mentioned something about a date. And I sure as hell am not going outside in just a T-shirt and shorts,"
"I don't mind," his eyes looking at my legs. I snapped my fingers
"Eyes up here buddy," I rolled my eyes before going into the bathroom with some clothes.

A little later I came out of the bathroom wearing a simple black top and jeans. I looked at Sky who was leaning on the railing of my balcony staring out. I crept up behind him and scare him, causing him to jump in shock. I roll my lips to stop myself laughing as I notice his unimpressed look.
"So, where are we going?" I asked
"Places,"
"What kind of places?"
"The kind on the Earth,"
"Oh really I had no idea," I retorted sarcastically "I was hoping you had a couple of tickets to Jupiter,"
"Surprisingly, I don't. Too short notice,"
"Ah, so this was a spur-of-the-moment thing?"
"You could say that,"
"Is it that hard for you to say yes or no?"
"Kinda," I growled in frustration at his answers and gave up. Realising my defeat, he stood up properly and held out his hand.
"Ready, m'lady?" He said. A small smile came to my face as a memory resurfaced. I took his hand and he stepped onto the railing.

I automatically lunge forward to pull him down and he takes my hand and drags me up with him. I wobble unsteadily and let out a small scream at being up so high. Sky puts his hand on me to stabilize me and I hold onto his shoulders. After a few deep breaths I tear my eyes off the ground and look at him.
"Are you crazy?! What the fuck are you doing?!"
"I'm holding you. Would you rather I let you go?" He jokes and I restrain from knocking on his head to check if there's an actual brain in there. Probably not.
"Why the hell are we standing on this, what if we fall?"
"Then the levabike's gonna catch us,"
"How are you so- wait did you say levabike?" As he nodded I felt my jaw slacken. "I'm sorry; we're talking about the super-expensive flying bike?" (A/N Yes, levabikes exist in this world)
"It used to be my brother's but he went off to college so he gave it to me," he explains and the bike comes into my view. I couldn't stop my eyes examining every inch of the beautiful thing. A wave of nostalgia hits me as memories upon memories resurface.

-Flashback-

"Daddy, please can I go on your bike?" 7 year old Bloom pleaded
"No munchkin, it's not safe. You're too young," My dad said for what was possibly the 50th time.
"But you let Mummy ride on it, even when she's supposed to be sleeping,"
"Your Mummy's older than you, and way more persuasive," he muttered the last part under his breath but I still heard.
"When I'm 18 like you and Mummy were, will you let me ride the bike?" I asked
"18, huh. That's a big number, by then you'll be riding a lot more things than your dad's bike," My mum came in then, winking. My then-innocent eyebrows crinkled in confusion.
"No she will not because she is not going to be allowed to touch or look at any non-blood-related boy until she's 25," My father frowned in response.
"Honey, I'm 23. Your life would be hell if my dad had that rule too," my Mum argued back. My Dad shuddered at the thought and put his hands on her waist. My Mum stepped back, a teasing smile on her face.
"No Oritel, I have to set an example for our daughter. No touching and no looking," she walked away as my Dad held a terrified expression on his face.
"Women, so complicated. Now, how am I going to get back in her good books?" He asked me
"You could give her flowers," I suggested
"No, she hates flowers,"
"A teddy bear?"
"She says that they creep her out. God, why can't I have a normal wife?" He said but there was a smile on his face.
"Mummy says because no one else can put up with your shit," I quoted
"She's right though. She's the only one who gets me through my- wait, did you say shit?" He stops and narrows his eyes at me. My own widen and I slap a hand over my mouth.
"Uh... It was Brandon?" I try before running away. And that is why you should never ask your dad if you can go on his levabike.

-Flashback Ended-

"Bloom? You in there?" I jerk back to reality as Sky flicks the side of my head. I scowl at him and rub the spot.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just spaced out for a minute there," a cold breeze suddenly came and I shivered. Sky frowned at me.
"Go get a jacket," he said and I rushed into my room, grabbing the first jacket I could get my hands on. I slipped it on and it was a little too big but I just held it closer to myself.
"Let's go bitch!" I yelled into the night before swinging my leg over the side if the bike where Sky was already seated. Yeah, I've definitely had too much sugar. Sky just rolled his eyes and revved the engine while I loosely put my arms around him, careful not to hold on too tight.

We shot off into the night and I couldn't stop the adrenalin pumping in my veins. I had half a mind to just yell out again but I'm not that dumb or crazy, contrary to popular opinion. Maybe I spoke too soon however, as now I had a sudden urge to stand up and feel the wind on every part of my body. Well, who am I to think things through? I pushed myself up using my arms and stood up, tipping my head back to feel the air. The bike suddenly slowed down and the driver looked at me.

"What the fuck are you doing, Bloom? Are you trying to die a very painful death?" Sky hissed at me
"Oh calm your tits, I'm absolutely fiiii-aaahhhh!" I lost my balance and tilted sideways. I squeezed my eyes shut, preparing for death when I was yanked back up by my wrist. I slowly opened my eyes to see a livid Sky. Before I could say anything, however, he pulled my lips onto his. The kiss was hard yet soft and I clung onto him since I was still on the edge of the bike.
"You are absolutely infuriating do you know that?" He said gruffly, kissing all over my face
"Thanks?" I replied, more as a question. A small smile comes onto my face as I feel vibrations from his laughter throughout my body. He pulls me back onto the seat and I wrap my arms around him slightly tighter than before.

The rest of the ride is spent in comfortable silence. That sounds kind of dirty. My cheeks burn at the suggestive thought. I'm so lost in my tainted thought process that I don't realize that we're landing until my body jolts up as we hit the ground. I squeal a bit before getting a grip on myself and clambering off the bike. I look around the area and my eyebrows furrow in confusion.
"Where are we?"

Afternote: This chapter was originally supposed to be longer but I'll put the second part in the next one... as soon as I write it. Sorry it took so long to update but school's going to start again soon so there's that. Anyway, please review. Oh and also, I was thinking of starting my new story now instead of waiting until this one is finished- what do you think? I'll add the description/summary in on my profile so go check that out.
