Then…
"Sir, please, I just had a few long days, and you are not making any sense to me. Please."
"Alright," Richard said sounding like he took a deep breath. "A young lady called me a few days ago asking about you, she said she is your cousin."
"Cousin? I have no cousins; I have no uncles or aunts to have cousins, sir." Josie said.
"Exactly, and I told her that, but she said she was from your mother's side, and,"
"My mother didn't have any brothers or sisters, and as far as I remember she didn't mention any relatives," Josie said cutting the man off. "That young lady – and for a reason I don't know – is lying," She said.
"If you allow me, I could meet with her and see what she wants, I knew that your mother had family in Greece." Richard told her.
"Greece? Well I didn't see them for twenty-five years and I won't start now." Josie huffed. "I don't have family Richard, if you want to meet with that woman, be my guest, but I am not paying for that." She told him. "I suggest we just forget about this and move on."
"As you wish Miss," The man said.
"Thanks for calling sir." Josie said about to hang up. "Oh, what did she say her name was?" she asked.
"Erin, she said her name was Erin, but she didn't give me a last name." Richard answered.
...
"All I'm asking is to meet you, we are family." Erin said.
"No offense, but I don't know you, never heard your name before, so, don't pull the whole we are family card, won't work on me." Josie said; all she wanted now was to get back to Sam and Dean who seemed like they were fighting.
"But, I,"
"Sorry, but I gotta go now." Josie told Erin. "Bad timing, really."
"Maybe we will talk later?" Erin asked, in a last chance to get Josie to talk to her.
"Yeah, maybe." Josie said and hung up fast.
…
"But, dammit, I love you!" She finally said and the silence consumed.
Josie was the one to break the silence with her heavy sigh. "Nothing? Not even a word, have you died or something?"
"What do you want from me now Josie?" Dean asked getting up too, as they stared into each other's eyes. She looked away and started to get dressed, putting on her clothes with nothing to say. "Josie!"
"Nothing Dean, I have always wanted and expected nothing," She finally said. "I loved you since ever, and was waiting nothing in return, now we are together, guess that's as good as it gets."
"Now you are being mean."
"Mean? I'm always mean, now I'm being nice. Trust me." She laughed bitterly, "Listen Dean, you asked me to open up and talk to you and I'm, I did. Told you what I felt and everything, the ball is now in your hand to throw back, and I'm not asking for you to say I love you back, not if you mean it because then it will mean nothing."
"I don't want this to be ruined, I want to be happy with you." Dean admitted. "I just need to figure out how I really feel about all of this, I'm sorry."
…
"So, Sam just took off like that?!" Josie asked raising an eyebrow, as she sat down. Dean shrugged.
"Yup," he said and went to grab himself a cup of coffee, "He said we are going to meet with your cousin, he will check a few things out searching on his own, and if he needed us he will call." Dean said simply, he was relaxed as he and Josie spent a few days without fighting.
Although she told him she loves him and he did not say it back, they talked and cleared the air. Josie was supposed to meet up with her cousin Erin, after a long time of fighting back she decided to do it, now Dean and Josie were at Bobby waiting for that woman to call and show up.
"Look, I don't mind having the house to ourselves at all, I mean these few days we were a couple more than we ever been," Josie told Dean, "but I'm worried about Sam, after you told him what you dad said and that girl Eva disappearing, and all. I hope shit won't hit the fan while we are playing house here." She said as Dean rolled his eyes.
"Listen, the demons are after us anyway and Sam can take care of himself." Dean huffed sitting back by her side. "Did that girl Erin call?" he asked changing the topic.
Dean was worried about his brother more than Josie, but he did not want to admit. He thought his relationship with Josie was worth the try, he will always put his brother first but Sam was the one to convince Dean to take a few days with her, Sam said "at least spend a few days taking care of her Dean, she spilled her guts to you and told you she loves you and now you wanna just leave? She will go crazy and I'm warning you."
Dean kept hearing his brother's warning over and over in his head, that's why he decided to stay with her and Sam went to check on a case, the case was simple angry ghost haunted house, easy that Sam could handle it on his own.
"She did!" Josie answered, cutting the thread of thoughts in Dean's head. "She said she will be here in two days."
"Great! we will meet up with her then," He said, but Josie was still not happy with the idea and it was all over her face. "I will be with you babe, and don't worry no one will push you to stay connected. We will meet her, so she stops calling, and then see what she really wants, if anything weird happened, we kick asses!"
Josie smiled and nodded. "Its just weird that she calls so many times, I mean I'm not used that someone want to be around me that much, I mean Dean, she called like fifty time, not sure if that means she cares or she is plain annoying," Josie laughed. "Trust me, no one wanted me that bad." She said simply, but that sentence made Dean feel sad and guilty.
Josie maybe did not mean to make him feel bad about himself, but he did. She loved him very much, and she told him how she felt, and it made feel guilty that he did not say it back, what made it even worse that she acted like nothing happened. Even though they talked and agreed he would take his time, something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" she asked, as she saw Dean thinking.
"Nothing," Dean sighed. "Josie, stop feeling that you are unwanted" he said air quoting the word.
"Dude, its true." She said with a sad smile. "I mean, I spent most of my life on my own Dean, after my family. I mean yeah Bobby has always been so cool and all, but he isn't the touchy-feely kind of guy." Josie said getting up walking to the kitchen, Dean followed. "I mean raising me was a pain in the ass and I really appreciate that he did it. While you and Sam and John where around but not all the time. I mean, I know you always hate when I bring it up but the only person who wanted to be around me that bad was Nick," she said looking at Dean's annoyed face. "sorry but its true,"
"What's that has to do with your cousin?" Dean huffed, as Josie mentioned her ex-boyfriend.
Josie gave him her back, washing her mug, "That I always end up hurting those around me, that's a fact." She answered with a nervous laugh. "and that girl is probably a normal person, I don't want her to get mixed up in my shit with the haunting and all. Anyway," she turned facing Dean, grabbing a towel. "I don't wanna over think it, I just hope she comes, and we get this all over with."
"Two days are not long," Dean said with a small smile, "Lets enjoy the calm days, we don't get much of those."
"True, and I have a good idea how exactly we should enjoy them." She winked at him.
…
Two days later, Josie was getting ready to meet up with her cousin. Erin called her and she sat a date with Josie and Dean to meet up in a nearby hotel. Josie was nervous like she never been, something made her feel uneasy, but she was excited at the same time, something she could not understand.
"Are you ready?" Dean asked walking into Josie's room. She turned at him and nodded. "I expected you gettin' all fancy!" he said raising an eyebrow checking out what she was wearing. Josie did not put much of an effort in what she was wearing, putting on a pair of jeans and a white top, and her favorite brown leather jacket and boots.
"Why would I?" Josie laughed, putting on some perfume, reaching for her wallet. "it's a casual meet-up, not my prom. Not that I been to any,"
"Okay, lets go." Dean laughed and she smiled at him, then she looked back at her reflection in the mirror making sure she was good to go.
"Let's go."
…
Dean and Josie arrived at the hotel and went straight to the restaurant as they agreed with Erin. The place was comfortable and not very fancy, both never liked fancy places and felt awkward when they had to be in one. They did not know how Erin looked like, but she told Josie on the phone she will be wearing a red dress and that she had red hair, laughing that she will not be easy to miss.
The couple kept looking around the place trying to find the woman, but no one with that description was there, so they sat down waiting for her.
"She is late," Josie huffed, her excitement was fading, and her worries were rising.
"Its okay, we are in no rush," Dean said, waving to the waiter. "What do you want to drink?" he asked Josie as the waiter came closer.
"Whiskey, double." She demanded, sounding nervous.
"Same!" Dean asked the waiter, the guy nodded at them and left to bring their drinks. Dean reached for Josie's hands, holding them in his own trying to assure her, she sighed and kept looking at the door, both silent. "This should help," he said as the waiter brought their drinks, Josie did not wait for the guy to put hers on the table, reaching for it.
"Damn, that's smooth." Josie said putting the glass cup on the table. Dean laughed and took a sip from his cup, enjoying it. They focused on the drinks and forgot about the door for a few minutes.
"Josie?!" a woman asked, as they felt a strong presence and both Dean and Josie looked up to the woman in front of their table, their eyes widened.
"Holy shit!" Josie exclaimed looking at the woman, Dean was still in shock.
"I'm Erin." The woman said reaching to shake hands with Josie, who was still in shock, slowly reaching to shake hands still in her seat. Erin laughed and sat down. "I sure didn't see that coming."
There was no question Erin was related to Josie, if someone saw them sure would think they were sisters for sure. Erin was a spit image of Josie, if Josie had a paler skin and a red hair, and bright blue eyes, with a curvier body. Josie was a trained hunter she was more muscular than her cousin, but the resemblance was there.
"Hi, I am Dean," Dean said breaking the silence, as both women were staring at each other. "Josie's boyfriend." He trailed off.
"Hi Dean, nice to meet you." Erin said, smiling at him. "I am still in shock,"
"Tell me about it," Josie said, finishing what was left in her drink at once. Waving to the waiter again to bring them more drinks.
It took them half an hour of awkward talk until they started getting to knowing each other, and of course the drinks helped. Erin said she was living her whole life in Greece and that was her first-time visiting America. She also said she did not know she had any family left until she found photos and documents and letters from Josie's mom to her dad, when she was cleaning her house in order to sell it, then she knew she had an aunt. Erin also said that it took her a year to locate the lawyer, knowing he was handling her family's issues in the states, and he told her about Josie when she asked about her aunt.
"Wow, that's just," Josie said leaning back in her chair, pausing, she could not finish her sentence still amazed. "honestly, if you didn't look that much like me, I would have called bullshit on all of this, I mean my life was weird and my mom never mentioned that I have an uncle."
"My dad never either," Erin said, drinking her wine. "but I read some of the letters and they had an issue," she said lowering her voice, "I don't want to upset you, but my dad hated your dad, he was so harsh in those letters."
"Oh," Josie said looking shocked. "Why?"
"He said he was a bad influence on your mom, and they shouldn't get married." Erin informed Josie, as Dean was silent listening to them talking. "but the letters did not specify why, they were also before we were born, and the last letter was from your mom saying she is getting married anyway, they stopped talking after this."
"Wow," Josie said shaking her head. "maybe this is why my mom never mentioned having a brother." She added, guessing that her uncle's problem with her father was his field of work, being a hunter.
"Well, my dad died two years ago and all of my life he never talked to me about a family," Erin looked sad, "I hate that we are almost the same age and we never met, I mean you could pass as my sister," bother girls laughed. They almost had the same voice, only Erin had a British accent, it was a slight accent, but it was there.
"I have to take this!" Dean said as his phone rang, "its Sam, I didn't hear from him in days." He added and Josie smiled at him. Dean got up to answer his brother while the girls were still talking.
"Your boyfriend is HOT!" Erin laughed as she checked Dean out. "Sorry but good God." She added checking Dean out, Josie bursted laughing choking on her drink.
"He sure is." Both girls laughed again, the drinks were kicking in. "Honestly, I was so worried about this, seeing you and all, but this feels good." Josie said and Erin nodded.
"I know!" Erin said loudly banging her wine glass on the table, "you were so stubborn, I never had a family and I wanted to meet you. Honestly, it didn't make sense, still doesn't. It felt like something was calling me."
Josie laughed again, she was about to say something, but Dean came back to the table. "Josie, I need to talk to you." He said sounding serious, "its Sam." He trailed off.
Both smiled at Erin nervously, as Josie stood up walking behind Dean. "what's wrong Dean?"
"Sam is in trouble," Dean sighed, "Listen, I'm leaving, and you can stay with Erin, he said something happened to him and he needs me."
"Dude, I'm coming with you!"
"No, I'll go, and if I needed your help, I will call you." Dean told her; he did not want Josie to come with him. Sam called and said he does not remember what happened to him, he woke up with blood on his hands and he does not remember what happened to him or whose blood was on his hands. Yet, Dean did not want to tell Josie, he knew she would freak out and leave right away, he saw how she loosened up with her cousin and did not want to ruin her night.
"Dean is he okay?" she asked, Dean nodded.
"Yeah, just a rough hunt." He assured her, lying. "I will call you in the morning okay. I'll take the car, I'm sorry."
"Its okay I'll call a cap of something," Josie said kissing him, "Dean, promise you would call if anything happened, I'll take my car and be with you."
"I know," he said and rushed to leave, it took Josie a few moments to collect herself and walk back to the table.
"Is everything okay?" Erin asked, putting down her phone looking up at Josie.
"Yeah, yeah." Josie said sitting down. "Just some family business issue, Dean had to go."
"I hope you won't be leaving as well,"
"No, no, I'm not going anywhere." Josie said and both girls smiled. "Let's order dinner." She added waving to the waiter.
The girls were catching up as they kept on talking for hours, drinking, and laughing and talking, they did not feel the time. Josie kept on talking as she felt comfortable, she never thought she will talk and open up to someone so fast, but something about Erin felt comforting, Josie felt like she was talking to herself not a total stranger she only met a few hours ago. Josie was happy for a moment, she never had any female friends, due to her wild life style and personality, but she admitted to herself that it did feel good, she missed on a lot of life experiences being around men for most of her life.
"Shit, its almost midnight," Josie laughed sounding a bit drunk, giggling at her own sentence.
"Oh, please don't leave," Erin asked, "unless you have something important, if not, why don't you spend the night here? It's a good hotel, well, average." She giggled.
"Actually, I don't," Josie said, taking a sip from her drink. "Plus, Dean took the car and Bobby isn't home and," she said. "but I have to call Dean first, if he won't need me tomorrow, I will stay with you."
Josie said and dialed Dean's number, she called him three times, but he did not answer.
"So?" Erin asked raising an eyebrow.
"He did not answer, guess he is fine." Josie sighed, she never liked when Dean did not answer, but she did not want to ruin her night worrying, she assumed Dean was only being Dean, and he would call her later.
…
Josie and Erin walked out of the restaurant heading to Erin's room, "why is the hotel so quiet?" Josie remarked. "did we stay up that late?" she said checking out her phone to see it was two in the morning. "its two am," both girls giggled taking the elevator to Erin's room.
Josie was too drunk to realize the hotel was too quiet especially for a weekend, of course two am was late but, not that late. The girls only saw a few employees during their way to Erin's room.
"Here we are!" Erin said pulling her card to get into the room. "Kalós ílthate stin tapeiní mou katoikía."
"You sound funny," Josie laughed not understanding what Erin said.
"I said welcome to my humble abode," she laughed opening the door to her dark room, both walked into the dark, Erin reached for the lights.
"Hello girls!"
The girls snapped hearing a man's deep voice.
…
On the other side, Dean went to meet Sam at the motel he stayed in, Sam said he does not remember anything from the few past days, he walked up bloody and he feared he killed someone. Dean tried to help his brother to calm down. Both Winchesters started looking for clues that might help them know what Sam did in those missing days.
…
Josie reached for her gun, as she usually does when she feels danger, but for her shock she did not find it where she usually put it behind her back, realizing she left everything back in the house.
"Your gun will not help you Josephine," The stranger in Erin's room said with a wicked confident smile, his eyes flashed yellow.
"Mother fucker!" Josie snapped, getting in front of Erin trying to protect her.
"I guess I don't need to introduce myself," the yellow eyed demon said, getting up from the chair still smiling at Josie. "you know, it was really hard to get you alone, both of you. Together. I had to use my top soldiers, as we talk now, your dearest Winchesters are on a wild goose chase." He gloated, "I had to have you," he said snapping his fingers, the three of them disappeared from the room.
It felt like a second after, when Josie opened her eyes, seeing she was chained to a chair while Erin was knocked out on the floor, the yellow eyed demon was standing giving orders to others, they were drawing some circles around Erin, while others were busy doing something Josie did not figure out.
"Welcome back honey," the yellow eyed demon said smiling at Josie. "you have been out for a while now. And her too," he pointed at Erin. The demon did not tell Josie, but he needed her to be unconscious for a few days for his plan to work, and his demon minions to prepare the rituals. "I have been looking for you, for years Josie. I didn't know you were there under my nose the whole time."
"Let Erin go please and do whatever you want with me. She has nothing to do with this." Josie pleaded, looking back and forth between the sleeping girl and the demon.
"There is a lot you do not know," the demon told her. "she has everything to do with this, exactly as much as you, Josie." He said, his eyes yellow the whole time.
"What the fuck do you want?" she screamed trying to break free from her chains. The demon smiled at her and said nothing.
…
"Dean, have you heard from Josie?" Bobby asked Dean on the phone. None of them heard from her in two days, Bobby thought she was with Sam and Dean, and Dean thought she was still at Bobby's. Both were caught up in their own messes no one checked on her.
"I thought she was with you Bobby,"
"I thought she was with you, you idjit!" Bobby yelled at him.
"Shit!" Dean cursed, "I left her with her cousin at the hotel, she called me that night, but I was caught up with Sam in his shit." He said, telling Bobby what happened to him since he got to Sam.
The boys followed a string of clues trying to discover what happened to Sam during the missing days. They found a stolen car, and inside the car, a bloody knife. Clues lead them to a gas station where a startled worker demands that Sam leave. Apparently, while Sam visited, he began chain smoking and drinking so much, even throwing the bottles at the worker's head, which was something Sam never did, and was a strange attitude. The brothers found themselves at a house and inside they find the corpse of a hunter, Steve Wandell. They watched the security videos in silent horror, seeing Sam grapple with Wandell before slitting his throat.
Later, Sam asked Dean to promise to kill him if he turned evil. Dean refused to listen to his brother, and suddenly, Sam says, "You'll live to regret it," before knocking his brother unconscious.
When Dean woke up, he traced Sam's phone and went to find him, and to his chock, Dean found out that his baby brother kidnapped Jo. Splashing Sam with holy water during the fight, Dean knew something possessed Sam. Later, the demon taunts Dean that its plan all along was to push Dean far enough that he would kill Sam, and that it will use Sam's body to find and kill all hunters. The chase finally ends on a dock, where demon-Sam shoots Dean, who falls into the water. Thinking him dead, demon-Sam leaves.
Dean tried to call Josie, but her phone was closed, but Jo find him, and she fixes him up, taking the bullet out of his shoulder.
Which was the reason he called Bobby.
"That's what happened, I thought he might come back to your house, I'm afraid he might hurt you or Josie." Dean explained. "I tried her phone so many freaking times but no answer, I even called her cousin. It has been years since Josie disappeared like that," he grunted. Dean's mind was going to explode as he was thinking of his brother and now his girlfriend who was apparently missing. "Maybe a demon got to her as well?" Dean wondered.
"Listen Dean, come to the house and we will figure things out." Bobby sighed. He was worried as well since he got back to the house and didn't find Josie or the boys there, he tried her phone so many time and even though she doesn't always answer on the spot, she always gets back to him. "…and if Sam showed up, I will let you know!"
"Fine, I'm on my way." Dean said hanging up. He tried to call Josie again, but her phone was off. He was worried a demon got to her as well, he did not know how that she was in a bigger risk than he could ever imagine.
…
"Josie, Josie, Josie," Azazel said, as he walked slowly in circles around her. "you are the key, ohhh, how beautiful. The angels managed to hide you for so long."
"What the fuck are you talking about?" she snapped in anger. "Why don't you save the acting for someone who actually gives a fuck? What do you want?"
He laughed getting closer to her. "I am Azazel, and I'm here to release you." The yellow eyed demon said seriously. "So, Josie! You are not who you think you are. Actually, I don't even know what you are to be honest, but…" he paused checking her expressions, enjoying her confusion. "I have very specific orders to bring you here and do some magic." He said theatrically.
"Are you demon drunk?" Josie said, trying to hide her fears and confusions with sarcasm.
"Aren't you the funny one?" the demon said with a blank face, "John knew, and he tried his best to hide you. John knew everything, and that's why I had to kill him. Just like I killed your parents, and hers." Azazel pointed at Erin.
"You son of a bitch!" Josie screamed, her anger rising to her head, feeling her blood boiling inside of her, hearing the demon's confessions.
"Not that you will remember any of this, but I will tell you what I know." He added. "Lucifer himself asked for you, he said you two have history. He was so happy when I told him I saw you finally, after all these years." The demon said, walking around the room checking on his followers.
"Josie, you were John Winchester's amazing gift to me. He didn't know that even with what the angels did to you, I still could feel your powers." Azazel explained. "What? You never felt that you are different?" he asked, and Josie's brain was exploding as she thought about everything happened with her. "you are different, you are not like the rest of them, and that's why we want you on our side in our war to be."
…
Meanwhile, back at Bobby's.
Sam turned at Bobby's house, he walked in and Bobby tired to act normal offering Sam a beer, chatting up with him. Demon-Sam drank up, he collapsed, smoke coming out of his mouth.
"What'd you do?" Sam hissed.
"A little holy water in your beer." Bobby said, "Sam never would've noticed. But then, you're not Sam, are you?" he added. "Don't try to con a con man" Bobby said, he put holy water inside the beer, before knocking him unconscious.
Dean showed up to Bobby's, they agreed to exorcise the demon inside Sam. They put Sam in a chair and wrapped him with rope, it was not easy because Sam was very tall and heavy. Bobby had a demon's trap drawn on the ceiling, they landed Sam's chair in the middle of the trap. Sam still unconscious.
"Nothing about Josie?" Dean asked, panting from the effort. Bobby shook his head no, "I called her a million times, but still nothing."
"Same," Bobby huffed, reaching to a pile of old books with Latin titles. "Let's do this, and then see what we will do about Josie."
"Oh, you can't do anything about Josie." Demon Sam said with an evil smirk, waking up. "My daddy got her."
"What the fuck do you know, you demon bitch?!" Dean asked an anger, splashing holy water on Sam's face, the demon inside him hissed in pain.
"I got Sam, and my daddy got Josie," the demon said, "you can't save them Deano."
Bobby and Dean shared a look, splashing more water at the demon, "See, whatever bitch-boy master plan you demons are cooking up, you're not getting Sam."
"But we got your sexy ass bitch!" the demon said spitting. "you will never see her again; she is dead meat."
"I'm going to kill you, all of you." Dean screamed, but Bobby moved between Dean and Sam's body, ready to start the exorcism.
"Dean, don't let the demon get to you, they are always lying." Bobby said and the demon laughed.
"Well, your old tricks won't work on me old man." Demon Sam laughed in victory, "See, I learned a few new tricks."
Bobby's incantation failed to expel the demon, who begins its own incantations. Bobby found a binding link on Sam's arm, which effectively locks the demon inside of Sam and neither he nor Dean knew what to do. As demon incantations affect the devil's trap on the ceiling, cracking it to pieces and finally allowing the demon access to its powers again.
Sam turns back to Dean, eyes now black, and flung both him and Bobby using its powers. Then the demon frees from the chair and starts to give Dean a beating, punching him viciously and squeezing his injured shoulder. The Demon tells Dean that no matter how much she tortures him, it is nothing compared to the way Dean tortures himself over losing their father and over potentially losing Sam, and Josie. Before she can strike Dean again, Bobby grabs Sam's arm and burns the mark on Sam's forearm with a hot iron rod, destroying the link. Sam screams as the demon exits him and escapes through the fireplace.
…
"What the fuck does that even mean, you fuckin' bitch?!" Josie yelled at the demon, he sat down on a big chair near her. "Explain!" she demanded.
"Well, after I'm done with you, you won't remember a thing, so why bother?" He laughed teasing her.
"I would like to die with answers please," Josie smirked, trying to control herself, looking at Erin, who was still sleeping on the floor, in the middle of something that looked like a demon trap but with different writings, in a language Josie was sure she never saw before.
"She is fine," Azazel said to Josie, seeing how she was worried. "As long as you are fine, she is fine."
"Why are you threatening me if I'm already chained?" Josie rolled her eyes.
"I am not threatening you," the demon told her. "You are not cousins by the way."
"You gonna tell me what? She is my long-lost sister, or that you sent her and she is a demon?"
"Neither…" Azazel was interrupted by one of his followers, she leaned down and whispered something in his ears, he grinned and nodded at her. "Good job, you can go now and get ready for the rituals."
The lady demon nodded smirking, giving Josie a sarcastic look. Josie did not know that Sam was possessed by the same demon, she was back from the mission Azazel gave her, distracting Sam and Dean.
"What rituals?" Josie asked, she was angry but bored, she was always a restless person and being trapped with nothing to do made her angry and frustrated. Weirdly enough, she was not scared, and that in-itself scared her. For someone who was about to be murdered by demons, she was very calm, only worried about her cousin.
"I guess there is no point of not telling you, everything is set, and five minutes won't hurt." The yellow eyed demon said. "You and Erin are the same person."
"excuse me?" Josie exclaimed confused. "What the hell? Am I supposed to believe you?"
"I don't care if you believe me or not, I already have you." The demon shrugged. "but yeah, you are not cousins, you are the same person, well the same being." He paused, to enjoy Josie's reaction and confusion. "Back in the day, you were an immensely powerful being, and you had free will, that was not a common thing in heaven. That was why they didn't like you, and that's why they cursed you and hid you from us all these years. Tearing you apart, two persons, across the world from each other, so you won't get your powers back, and haunt their asses."
"Heaven?" Josie laughed. "Look, I believe in the whole heaven and hell, and all, but that sounds stupid."
"Does it?" He said getting up and walking to her, he put his fingers on her forehead.
Josie felt like she was being electrocuted, a pain of memories rushed through her brains. "Lucifer sends his regards." Azazel whispered in her ears. Josie started gasping for air, she could not breathe seeing what seemed like her life, she saw herself in many places and many outfits. She saw herself among people who looked like humans, but they had blank faces with no emotions. She was on a chair as a guy with blue eyes came closer to her, he started chanting in a language she did not understand, as she started screaming, in her mind and in reality, being split into two. Josie could feel the pain, she kept on screaming feeling pain shooting through her veins, she screamed until her body and mind could not handle, she fainted.
"Put them next to each other." Azazel demanded, other demons started moving Erin from the middle, adding Josie's body next to her, after they sat her body free. The demons handed Azazel an old leathery book, it was an old book of evil spills, made of human flesh and blood, a special delivery from hell.
The demons started chanting in Latin, and Azazel joined them, but he was chanting from the book, in a language that no one spoke on the face of the earth for many, many years. One of the demons walked to the circle and lit up a black candle, throwing it between Josie and Erin, the fire started spreading in the circle, as the letters they wrote caught fire. The letters were starting to disappear, flaming up into a red colored fire, and unlike normal fire it started circling the air around the women bodies, resting between both Josie's and Erin, their clothes started burning, the fire started consuming their bodies by the second, no, it was consuming them, it was melting with their bodies, mending both bodies, it was like they were made out of fire.
The bodies were melting, not like what would you expect from a human body, they were turning into power, a physical power of fire. Both women started screaming, and the demons did not stop their chanting. The fire grew bigger and bigger, in a second no one could see the bodies, only the glowing fire.
In the middle of the fire, both bodies were mending into one, melting as Josie became Erin, and Erin became Josie. They were not two people, now they were one. The demons stopped their chants, only Azazel was still going. The fire was fading, and as it did, there were only one body on the floor. Azazel stopped his chants smiling, everything was silent, Josie was left naked on the floor, breathless.
