RAYON'S HOUSE, EAST CITY

Rayon unleashed all his power on the punching bag. Since it's a free-standing punching bag, it does not swing that much as compared to a hanger type, so he was able to continuously punch it. It's not only his power that made his blows lethal, but also the rage that he's feeling right now.

It's not supposed to be like this. He wasn't supposed to spend the rest of the afternoon training by himself. He was supposed to have a group study with Videl and Erasa. It was supposed to be a perfect afternoon. But here he is right now, sweating as he put all his might in trying to pour out all the anger he's feeling on the poor punching bag.

He stopped when he saw some beans pouring out of the punching bag. The bag's leather cover broke out because of his extreme punches. Maybe he has gone too far. He should stop before the cover completely breaks out and the beans spill on the floor.

He took his water bottle and drank everything on it. Then he wiped the sweat off his face with a towel. He went out of the gym and proceeded to his room to take a bath. On his way he met his father, Wyatt, who frowned upon seeing him all sweaty on his gym clothes.

Rayon: Hey, Dad…

Wyatt: Did you train on the gym?

Rayon: Yes.

Wyatt: I thought your friends are coming? You told me to come home early so that I could meet that girl that you like, remember?

With that, the memory of this afternoon's meeting with Erasa came back to Rayon. His temper flared up once again.

Rayon: They didn't come. She has some important things to attend to.

Wyatt: Oh! Okay.

Rayon: I'll go take a bath now.

Wyatt: Okay! See you at dinner.

Rayon proceeded to his room. His mood is still on the bad side as he tried to decipher what could be Videl's reason for not coming earlier.

MR. SATAN'S MANSION, SATAN CITY

It's five in the afternoon, and Erasa decided to call it a day and go home.

Erasa: I think I have enough studying for the day. I'll go home now.

Videl: Okay. Let's continue on Monday?

Erasa: Sure! Although, I just hope Gohan could come as well. His mother might not approve of him going home late on a school day. Oh, by the way! Aren't you supposed to go home now, Gohan? It's getting late and you might end up travelling very late tonight if you don't start going home now.

Gohan: Well…

Erasa: Oh, what am I saying? You can fly your way home fast enough to make it to dinner.

Erasa winked at Gohan, and the latter just looked at her, quite confused at what she said.

Erasa: I'll go now! Bye you guys! See you on Monday.

Videl: I'll take you out.

Erasa: It's okay, Videl. I've been on your house too many times I know my way out. See you next week!

Erasa went out and left the two.

Gohan: Did she say I could fly?

Videl looked at Gohan who is still looking at the door. She suddenly felt nervous.

Videl: Well… I guess… t-that what she said.

Gohan looked at her, and Videl's heartbeat doubled. She feels like she has to tell him about what she told Erasa, though she's not sure how he will take it.

VIDEL: There's something that I need to tell you.

Gohan looked at her innocently, and that made her more nervous. She took a deep breath and told her what happened that afternoon at Orange Star High School.

VIDEL: I told Erasa everything about you.

GOHAN: Huh?

VIDEL: I just had to... She heard me confess to Rayon my feelings toward you. She was kind of mad that I hid that from her. Gohan, Erasa is my best friend since forever and we don't have secrets from each other. Anyway, I'm sure she won't tell anyone about it. She promised to me she'll keep it a secret and I know she keeps her promise.

Gohan seems to think what Videl told him. The latter looked at him as she is still worried at how he will take it.

GOHAN: Well, as long as no one will know...

VIDEL: Promise! No one will know. I guarantee that Erasa knows how to keep secrets.

GOHAN: Well, then, it's fine with me.

Videl was relieved that Gohan took that lightly.

GOHAN: But...

VIDEL: Hmn?

GOHAN: What did you tell him?

VIDEL: What do you mean?

GOHAN: Rayon... what did you tell him...? About your feelings toward me.

Videl was taken aback by that question. Gohan is staring at her, with that timid smile on his crimson face. It made her fidget as well.

VIDEL: Well... I thought you already know...

Gohan just stared at her with that hopeful gaze. Somehow, Videl felt that she should still tell him about how she feels, remembering Chi-Chi's advice about the Saiyans' tendency to be quite naïve when it comes to romance and relationships and those things.

VIDEL: I thought you know that... I'm in love with you.

Gohan's face slowly illuminated with a smile. The mirth on his eyes emanated on Videl's soul, making her smile as well. Quite shyly, that is, for she suddenly remembered she just told him how she feels without knowing what he feels for her. She looked down, her face turning red as well.

GOHAN: And I feel the same way...

That made Videl look back to him. Gohan's face is as red as earlier, but that softness in his eyes made her heart melt as it made her see the sincerity in those words he just said.

He's in love with her.

Videl's smile widened she felt foolish already. But it didn't matter. It didn't matter because Gohan also has that foolish smile on his face. It didn't matter because they don't only smile alike, but their hearts also feel the same.

VIDEL: So... are we... boyfriend and girlfriend now?

Gohan's smile suddenly faded. Videl wondered if she said something wrong. It made her feel anxious.

GOHAN: I don't know... Is that how it's supposed to be?

Oh, the innocent Gohan! Videl giggled as she feels foolish for worrying. Of course, Gohan doesn't know anything about dating. How did she even forget that?

GOHAN: Uhm... did I say something wrong?

VIDEL: No... it's just that... you're just so cute, you know.

Gohan blushed once again. Oh, how cute he really is! It made Videl so happy she took his hand on hers and entwined their fingers together.

VIDEL: Let's just say that we can do this now.

He is still obviously absorbing all the new things he's encountering at the moment, but being a fast learner, Gohan immediately fathomed what had just happened.

Videl is officially his girlfriend now.

His grasp on her hand tightened. He smiled at her, and Videl smiled back. Gohan later realized that he has that foolish smile on his face even after he went home that evening.

ORANGE STAR HIGH SCHOOL, SATAN CITY

That Monday, Gohan patiently waited for Videl to come to school. He's not actually sure where she usually lands her helijet, so he used his ability to sense her energy to figure that out. Videl is surprised to see him wait for her, though she admits she was glad to see him as soon as she landed.

Gohan: Good morning…

Gohan's face is blushing, and it made Videl smile. How can he be so cute all the time?

Videl: You waited for me.

Gohan: I guess that's… that's what boyfriends do?

Videl giggled.

Videl: I'm not sure, but… I like it.

She grinned at her, and even though he's still blushing, Gohan smiled back. Videl held his hand and together they entered the school building.

Everyone is staring as they entered their classroom. Well, it's not every day that they come to school together, and it's the first time they entered holding hands together.

Erasa: Oh, they're here!

Erasa moved closer to Sharpner, vacating her seat so that Gohan and Videl would sit beside each other. Videl is now occupying Erasa's seat while Gohan is on his usual place.

Sharpner: Wait, what does this mean?

Erasa: Oh, come on, Sharpner! Can't you see they're dating?

Sharpener: Dating? Since when?

Gohan and Videl looked at each other, not sure how to answer their friend's question.

Erasa: Oh, does it matter?

Sharpner: But… They just came back to school last week, and now they go to class holding hands with each other?

All of their classmates are now looking at Videl and Gohan, all of them shocked at their sudden display of affection. Erasa looked at Videl, not knowing what to say anymore.

Videl: Well… the truth is, we trained together for the World Martial Arts Tournament. And then… we study together… That's… that's how it happened.

Sharper: Training and studying… Wow! What a unique way to hook up?

Erasa: Isn't that what you were trying to do last Saturday? You said you have a study partner.

Sharpner: Oh yeah! When I came to her house, I found out she has a boyfriend and he's waiting for me with her!

Erasa: Oh! I can only imagine the awkwardness. Next time, you ask first if the girl has a boyfriend before you make a move.

Not far from the four friends, Rayon is silently listening as his temper started to flare up again. He was so mad he broke the pencil he's holding as he furiously looked at Gohan who is happily chatting with his friends while his hand is holding Videl's.

This is the end of this fanfiction, but this is not the end of Gohan and Videl's story. I am planning to do another fanfiction, if God allows. It will be the continuation of this story, and it will focus not only on Gohan and Videl, but to all the characters in the DB universe.
