A lone figure fell down a long dark shaft before her wings opened up slowing her descent so she softly landed at the bottom. The figure looked over at the storage unit door as she quickly entered a password into it. She was a tad excited about this. After all, there was a rumor of Robotnik having a secret treasure. Mostly gems that he had collected to use for laser-based machinery. But this, this would be the motherlode.
The door slowly opened as the Mobian bat stepped inside. What she saw was a large storage area with a few things that Robotnik had. The main things to note was what looked like a powered down robot in the corner and a pod of some kind in the center. This pod was of an interesting design and Rouge hadn't exactly seen a safe like it. But the note she had gotten said this was the location. So, she'd surely find something in there that'd help her. She pressed the button on it as slowly the hatch began to open as it was revealed, that inside this container, was none other than Shadow the Hedgehog.
Slowly, Shadow's eyes opened as he awoke from Cryogenic sleep. He looked around the room he caught the eye of some kind of battle mech, it could be useful. Then his eyes shifted to the Mobian Bat.
"I see you got my note," Shadow said as he took a step out of the cryostasis pod. Rouge looked at him and gave a flirtatious smile.
"I sure did Sugar," she said, "Guess what I get for following a mysterious clue I found on the Ark."
Shadow shrugged. He didn't care about harming Rouge, on the contrary.
"Tell me, Rouge," Shadow said, "How would you like to work for me?"
"Oh?" Rouge asked, "Funny you should offer me a job, considering what happened last time."
Shadow just looks at her.
"I'm sure you won't try that again," Shadow said, "Though if you do, I'll just make sure it's the last thing you do. Of course, if you refuse, I'll also make it the last thing you do."
"Seems I don't have much of a choice, do I?" Rouge said with a smirk, "Guess that makes us a team. But I got to ask, was there ever any gems here?"
"I didn't say there wasn't any," Shadow said walking over to the powered-down robot as he noticed the omega symbol itched onto one of its shoulder pads.
"Really? Do tell," Rouge said as the idea of possible gems being involved intrigued her. Shadow took a moment, looking at the robot before finally, he spoke.
"Let me tell you, about the Jeweled Scepter."
