Chris: Last time on Total Drama Island: the campers had to rough it out in the woods for the night to see if they were fit for survival. Peggy and Lukas got a lot closer, but also got a lot off track when they lost sight of their team. The Killer Bass were doing a lot better as far as getting food goes. The Gophers went the whole night only eating some berries. Duke thought he could take on a bear again, only to find that it had brought backup. His team lost all their food to the bears and he was totally mauled. It wasn't really a comfortable night for anyone. In the end, Annalise got her team to gang up on the silent boy, Lukas, and send him packing after an emotional goodbye from Peggy. Now that challenge was a tough one, but they haven't seen anything til this next one. What's it gonna be? Find out on this super scary episode of Total. Drama. ISLAND!
The camera opens up on the island before showing the two teams walking to their campsites in the woods. It then shows Peggy and Lukas bonding, but getting separated from their team in the process. Harriett is shown cooking, followed by Percival bringing berries to his team and them lying in the dirt, hungry as can be. Duke is shown trying to wrestle the bear and getting destroyed by many bears and said bears stealing all their food. Annalise is shown talking to her team about who to vote off, followed by him and Peggy kissing at the campfire ceremony and him being sent off the island. Chris is shown again, looking devious as ever before the intro starts. The camera cuts back to the night after the previous challenge, where both teams are sitting at the campfire.
Bobby: Woah, I don't think you guys have ever come to socialize with us before, weird...
Hellen: That last challenge was pretty rough, so we felt like we should all take it easy together.
She pulls out a bag of pretzels and offers the other team some. Duke, who has slightly recovered, shudders at the sight of them.
Duke: The champ doesn't feel all too great being near those unnaturally twisty foods.
Francis: Truth be told, I'm scared of loose banana peels. I always feel like I'm gonna slip on them and bust my head open.
Some of the campers look at him, holding back laughs.
Desiree: Ooooooooo, I'm afraid of someone telling other people a secret I told them!
Peggy glares at her.
Evander: I'm scared of pasta that's either slightly undercooked or overcooked, there I said it!
Leslie: Being stuck in a deflating bounce house would be pretty scary, I think!
Hellen: Any song that came out before 1975. I can't listen to the radio anymore because of it.
Veronica: Quicksand, heights, jungles, bears, bees, fruit salad, people named Brent, and a million other things, but, most importantly, boats...
Percival: Being stuck upside down will get me going.
Wendell: The only thing I've ever been afraid of is chainsaws. A normal fear, if you ask me.
Wendell (Confessional): Of course, that's a lie. I don't fear anything.
Annalise (Confessional): He's afraid of hermit crabs.
Roxy: I, uh, am really scared of trampolines.
Wendell chuckles and she shoots a nasty glare in his direction.
Lyle: Well, I'm super claustrophobic.
Gene: Perfume departments spook me. I can't take all the different smells.
Harriett: I'm scared of snow...it's the only natural occurrence I've never seen.
Bobby: The squeaky wheel on a shopping cart.
Peggy: ...Hamsters are the scariest thing I can imagine.
Elicia: Getting a one star review in a theater performance.
Annalise: I'm only doing this because everyone else did. I'm scared of being locked in a cage underwater with sharks around it.
Lyle: Well, this was a fun little bonding session! It was nice to learn more about you guys.
Hellen: I agree. If you wanna learn more about anything ever I can tell you guys that stuff too. Like how-
Annalise: No thanks, weird girl.
The camera cuts to the campers eating in the cafeteria in the morning. Duke is feeling a lot better at this point. Chris walks in, looking smug as ever.
Chris: Greetings, campers. Today, we've got a special challenge planned for you. Phobia Factor! Today, each of your worst nightmares is going to come to life. You'll have to face your fear to score a point for your team. The team with the most points wins!
Francis: As if he even knows what our worst fears are.
The campers look at Francis as Chef drops a pile of banana peels behind him. He slowly turns around and screams before fainting and hitting his head on the table.
Elicia: I think they were listening in on us last night...
Chris: Well, by the end of the challenge, he's gonna have to jump into that pile to score a point. First up for the Bass is Peggy.
He grabs something box-like and covered in a cloak from behind him. he walks over to Peggy and takes the cloak off, revealing a hamster in a cage. She gasps and backs up a bit.
Chris: All you gotta do is pet the thing to score your team a point. What's it gonna be?
Peggy very hesitantly opens the cage and slowly puts her hand in, petting the hamster lightly on the head. The Bass cheer for her as she scores them one point.
Chris: Oh, Chef! Don't you have something special for the tough guy over here?
He gestures to Evander as Chef puts two identical plates of spaghetti in front of him. Immediately, he panics, but he manages to stand his ground and eat both plates of pasta, scoring the Gophers a point. Chef then drops a bag of Pretzels in front of Duke, who also manages to stomach them. The camera cuts to Leslie, who is put in a bounce house that Chris quickly unplugs, causing it to deflate with her in it. She is tasked with staying in for five minutes. Roxy is shown with Veronica at the dock with a boat waiting for the latter.
Roxy: Don't worry, V. You can definitely do it. I believe in you.
Veronica shudders and gently gets on the boat. It sets off and she immediately assumes the fetal position. Elicia is on the stage from the talent show, performing a song. The interns watching give her one star on a piece of paper, causing her to panic until she jumps off stage and walks up to them.
Elicia: You know what? I know I'm better than one star. You can take your review and-
The camera cuts back to Leslie, who is finally coming out of the bounce house, bringing the scores to 3 and 3. Francis finally wakes up, and dives into the banana peels, scoring his team another point. Bobby is shown being wheeled around in a squeaky shopping cart while having a look of horror on his face, but still scoring his team a point. The camera then cuts to Lyle, who is being locked in a supply closet. A countdown timer of one hour is shown next to the door and as it starts going, he is already banging against the door. Wendell is then shown on the beach, minding his own business, as the interns drop a box of hermit crabs all over it, causing him to freak out and run around in circles, screaming. He finally manages to calm himself down, and walk through the crabs and off the beach. With the score currently 4-4, Gene forces himself to walk through the entire cafeteria, which has been filled with various perfumes. Though barfing once or twice, he toughs it out and boosts his teams score. Annalise is shown being put in a scuba suit and inside a cage. She is slowly sent underwater as Hellen is forced to wear headphones and listen to endless 60s hits. Percival is hung upside down on a tree branch, struggling to break free as a timer for five minutes is set up for him. Harriett is shown in a really cold room with artificial snow falling. She, though terrified, manages to stick it out for five minutes, scoring her team a point. An intern is showing whispering to another intern.
Intern A: You know, I heard that Desiree-
Desiree: NOOOOOOOOO!
She pushes the two apart and screams. Her team tries to encourage her to just let them say their line, but she refuses. Annalise is shown in the cage underwater as several sharks bash against it, causing her to nearly faint.
Annalise (Confessional): Chris is so dead once this show is over and done with.
Hellen gulps as she sees that she is only halfway through the playlist, but continues to listen.
Hellen (Confessional): It's just so...old...and...I hate it!
Leslie: You can do it, Hellen! Just imagine that it's good music!
Evander: Hey, take it easy with the insults, little lady.
More time passes, and Hellen is finally finished with the playlist, tearing of the headphones and gasping before scoring her team the point. Percival is shown hanging upside down in the tree slightly calmer than before, until a bird land on the branch he's on. The perspective scares him into screaming.
Percival (Confessional): I mean, it makes sense right? I'm not strange fore being scared of that. The blood rushing to one's head is horrifying to think of.
Percival finally finishes his challenge, and is let down from the tree. Though it's all over, he still shudders from the thought of what had just happened to him. The camera cuts back to Lyle who is banging his fists all over the closet door.
Lyle: I'm gonna die in here, I know it! This place will be my grave!
Annalise is finally pulled up from the water and freed from the cage.
Wendell: Loving the look, it suits you.
She angrily throws the flippers and mask from the suit at him, hitting him in the head as she storms off to the cabins to get changed.
Wendell (Confessional): Oh yeah, I definitely have a thing for Annalise. Quite unfortunately too, as I'll have no choice, but to take her down in the finale.
The score is currently 7-6, with only Lyle, Roxy and Veronica remaining. Roxy is put before a trampoline, staring at it in horror.
Chris: Come on Roxy, you just have to bounce on it for a minute. Think you can do that?
She shivers and gulps, trying to approach it, but as she grabs onto it and tries to pull herself up, a spring squeaks, sending her running. Veronica finally returns to the dock, slightly nauseous, but otherwise alright. Lyle bursts through the door as soon as his hour is up, leaving the Bass with a grand total of 8 points.
Chris: And that sums it up for the challenge! Even though the Gophers only had one person not complete the challenge, the Bass scored more points! The Killer Bass win invincibility!
The Bass cheer as Veronica looks at her team, confused.
Veronica: Which one of us didn't...
Roxy looks at the ground shyly, shocking Veronica.
Wendell: Way to cost us the challenge, Roxy.
Evander: Hey, we all faced our fears. Why couldn't you?
As more people start to gang up on Roxy, Veronica stomps angrily on the ground.
Veronica: Because fear is a horrible thing to have to deal with! Just because somebody can't face their fear doesn't mean that they're weak or not as good as the next person! It just means they're scared and that they need someone to help them!
The Gophers look stunned after hearing the anger from Veronica. Roxy lightly smiles as the camera cuts to the campfire ceremony. Chris's plate only has 7 marshmallows on it this time.
Chris: Most of you did a great job facing your fears today. Somebody, not so much. When I call your name, come get your marshmallow and claim your place among the survivors for the challenge. Percival...Hellen...Evander...Leslie...and Veronica.
Roxy doesn't look all too shocked as she remains seated. Wendell, on the other hand, is smug, knowing the outcome already.
Chris: Roxy, sorry dude. It's going to Wendell.
Wendell grabs the last marshmallow as Veronica runs over to her and holds her hands.
Veronica: I'm so sorry Roxy...you were there to urge me to face my biggest there, but I couldn't be there for you.
Roxy: It's alright. I'm just glad I got to spend time with you before I was given the boot, y'know?
Roxy kisses Veronica on the forehead, who then, though shocked, kisses her deeply in front of the rest of her team, putting a look of shock on everyone's face, even Roxy's.
Veronica: That's for helping me today...and every other day.
Roxy: Well, I...uh...
She blushes and smiles before heading off to the boat of losers. She is waved at by her team as the boat sets off into the distance.
Roxy (Confessional): That was unexpected...but so cool.
The camera fades out on her smiling in the confessional.
