A/N: I apologize this chapter is almost a day late. I've been up in the mountains for a Martial Arts Retreat Training. I barely get any service up there. I hope you all understand. During this Covid19 needed to get away from work for a few days since we've been crazy busy non-stop. Going to martial arts training helps me relieve some stress and sort out thoughts. Anyways. I hope you all enjoy this chapter.
"It's justice for you. You couldn't get to my child, so you go after Lexa's. With that, you have committed treason." Clarke announced.
"Any last words for you, before your death welcomes you?" Lexa asked.
"You both are going to get each other killed. With only Natblida left holding his rightful place, who isn't even ready in my eyes." Titus responded.
"Let me tell you something before your death. My daughter is also a Natblida." Clarke mentioned.
"Then when Lexa dies, you'll also lose a child." Titus commented with a smirk.
"Not happening. I got approval to change the rules to the Conclave, by the previous commanders. Whoever wins the other will be the second in command. Clarke wouldn't lose either one of our children." Lexa said.
"That's going against our tradition!" Titus yelled.
"It's already been set." Clarke said.
"Sentries! Take him outside and tie him around the pole!" Lexa ordered.
The sentries open the cell and drag him outside. Pushing through the crowd of people heading to the area. Lexa, Clark, and Indra follow. Once the sentries have tied him up to the pole they walk away. Sentries, warriors and the crowd gathers around.
"If you kill me. You won't have a flame keeper. And what happened to; "Blood must not have Blood." The tradition you swore you going to change to!" Titus shouted at the three.
"You are the one that hired assassins from Azgeda, to kill Wanheda's child. Thinking that my clan prompted it, so the rest of the Coalition wage war against me. You've committed treason within the Coalition you serve. Blood must have Blood for those who are traitors to Heda's. They want peace, and we must accept it by following their lead." Roan said stepping forward beside Clark, with his hand on the hilt ready to draw his sword.
"The Commander is going against our tradition. We all strive to be more powerful than the other clans!" Titus shouted again.
"No. Always being hungry for power is a weakness. True strength and power come from changing how we are and how live." Roan said waiting for his orders.
"You're the King of Azgeda! Don't you want that power they hold!?" Titus continued his shouting.
"I am the King of Azgeda but, I too agree with their beliefs. I will side with them." Roan mentioned.
"Daun ste pleni! You are done. Let's get on with it. Titus, you'll receive one hundred cuts for treason and death from Wanheda's blade." Lexa announced.
Every warrior, sentries, Roan, Indra, and Lexa takes their turn to cut Titus. Clarke steps up in front of Titus, staring at him then draws her blade.
"You won't kill me, Clark. You couldn't kill the last mountain man, Emerson. So makes you think you'll kill me?" Titus said wheezing from the loss of blood and cuts.
"This isn't just for my people. This is for my family. You not going to hurt either one of them again. As long as I'm alive, no one is hurting them." Clarke said raising her blade up, lining her blade up to his heart.
"That was the same look you had on your face. Until you gave up and gave, Emerson the pass to live." Titus said looking at her.
"Yu gonplei ste odon..." Clarke said piercing Titus' heart with her blade watching him instantly dying.
Clarke withdrew her blade from Titus and sheathing it back into its scabbard. Looks at him and looks at everyone else around her. She nods to Lexa and Roan.
"Take him down. A burning ritual must be preformed." Lexa ordered.
The sentries came forward and did what they asked to do. Wrapping Titus' body to be placed on the burning platform.
"We were going to discuss this with you..." Clarke told Roan.
"I had my suspicion why three members of my clans were meeting with a flame keeper. I had scouts follow them. I'll deal with them when I go back to Azgeda." Roan said back to Clarke.
"May we travel with you back to Azgeda?" Clarke asked.
"You don't need my permission. You need Lexa's. Since the threat was against her child. She'll approve and go too." Roan said looking back at Lexa.
"You are right about that. We'll go in a few days. We need to send off Clarke's mother and Kane. So they could tend to their duties back at Arkadia." Lexa said.
"Yes, Heda." Roan said.
"After this burning ritual, we need to gather the children." Clarke said watching the touch being lit.
"Who is going to watch the children when you're in Azgeda?" Roan asked.
"Oketiva and Linkon will be coming back. So they'll watch them while we're gone. I wish to wait for them to get back to Polis before we head to Azgeda." Lexa said.
"Understandable, Heda. Clarke, how did you break the ice around Lexa?" Roan asked her.
"It just happened. We both had feelings for each other before the mountain fell. It seemed to still be there when you brought me to Polis. So I thank you for bringing me back to my lover." Clarke explained.
After the burning ritual, they head back to the tower. Clarke went to look for her mother and Kane as Lexa looks for the children.
Madi and Aden almost in tears when Abby and Kane were about to leave.
"We'll travel to Arkadia with them when we settle things at Azgeda with King Roan." Lexa said watching her children hugging it out.
"Please, send Octavia and Lincoln back so they could watch them, while we head to Azgeda." Clarke said almost in tears herself.
"Of course. May we meet again." Kane said giving Clarke and Lexa a hug.
"May we meet again." Abby told Madi and Aden.
Abby stood up and said her goodbyes to Clarke and Lexa. They mounted upon the horses and headed out.
