Mediziner's Notes: This one was the turning point in my series. I wanted to make more bigger timeskips and do more PoVs of my antagonists. This was when I was trying to figure out their personalities a bit until I became more confident with them in the later chapters.

...
A month and a half had passed since the last incident, the trio had been pestered by their 'mysterious leader' to continue to try and expand their forces and to some extent, their machine's knowledge. However every single skirmish with the Brave Police ended up in ruin thanks to their efforts or even the occasional of a petty criminal having been caught and interrogated to the point of making them rat out their current location and where they were hiding. Even the tactic of trying to ambush Radiant Prism when she's alone was always thwarted particularly thanks to one of the three Braves who were now seen flying nearby almost like her 'wingman' which made things even more difficult due to their ability to call for backup, often forcing them to retreat and rethink their strategies. "Tch, the Japanese Brave Police are becoming more and more of a nuisance! They're learning about every single little thing we have and we still haven't found out what our machine is fully capable of!" Fumed Eberhard, slamming a fist into the wall. "The more they get in our way, the more difficult it becomes to eliminate Radiant Prism! Who does that guy thinks he is, ordering us around as if we were mere slaves! We listen to no one! We fend for ourselves yet the criminals we partner up here are nothing more than idiots, they can't even defeat a couple of walking, talking machines!" The other two watched as their friend began pacing around in agitation. Trying to talk to Eberhard wouldn't be a wise move knowing that they'd cause him to lash out.
"Haven't we found a more efficient way of taking the Braves on!? Anything that would overwhelm them will do!" Snapped Eberhard.
"Understanding this level of technology takes time, Eberhard." Uwe pointed out. "If I tried to rush our discoveries all at once, it would be hard to calculate the correct amount of firepower without overwhelming our machine past it's limits to the point of leaving ourselves sitting ducks. Knowledge needs time, too."
"I won't lie, every time we take arms against Japan's Brave Police, this does give me a lot more tactical exercise." Hans chimed in with a grin. "Since we're not only focusing on one target, but ten targets- Far more than dealing with one mere target. How they started off with only eight before Radiant Prism joined forces with them, and now they're nine... However, we did deal with a couple of Braves all the way from the United Kingdom... Their struggle to the point that they called for aid from other countries to send members of their Brave Police team after us, it proves that they're afraid to take us on themselves. However, even I'd need time to think of good strategy attacks..."
"Who cares about numbers! The more of those machines they throw at us, the more reason we have to show that we're unstoppable!" Eberhard snapped. "I'll enjoy every moment I get for managing to catch one and rip them apart in front of their friends, and the entire country if you consider the news watching us from every angle. Forget something simple such as stealing jewels and other valuables, tearing them apart and scaring the public sounds a lot more fun than something as petty as theft."
"Hm, I'll admit targeting the police force's robots sounds a bit much but it's no lie they've been a thorn in our sides." Said Hans. "Once Radiant Prism is out of the picture for good, it'll be fun to put the world into despair by outwitting and destroying the Brave Police from all around the world..."
"Guys, I have something to share, come look at this." Uwe said, typing in a few commands on the console as Eberhard and Hans approached, watching as something displayed on the screen shortly afterwards. "During our short-lived alliance with the criminal organization we collaborated with, I've managed to collect information discreetly on the remaining Braves we didn't gather previously while they fought with them, including the red and blue coloured Brave Police members that we haven't seen before since we got here." Uwe continued, typing just a few more commands to focus on two particular Braves.
Hans raised an eyebrow, staring particularly at the smaller, blue coloured Brave. "The British sure have an odd taste in weaponry... The blue one's got a shepherd's crook."
"Well, it may look like that but it seems to be some sort of weapon that controls the four elements when you look behind it's appearance. If I just type in a few commands here... There." The screen now displayed Bishop's staff in proper detail, revealing a cutaway of the staff and the mechanics contained within it along with a still bit of footage showing the ice ability being cast. "One of the reasons I loved this thing, it's capable of deep scanning and making a 3D cutaway of the object in question! But onto important matters, the Scotland Yard while we've never faced them in the past are a joint project between the British and the Japanese. The red coloured one here is the leader of the Scotland Yard team, if you take into account of the same crest you'd see on the Brave leading the Japanese team. I have no doubt there are more of them but because we can't perform a long range scanner that goes across the world, we'd have to scan them if the red one here decides to send some of his buddies after us in the future."
"I'm just going to rule out that it's some sort of trick to make your eyes believe something that isn't really there." Said Hans, shaking his head. "There's absolutely no way something like magic can exist. Visual tricks sure I can get that, but magic...?"
"Bah, none of what you've said makes sense to me. But, if it means exposing their weaknesses, it'll be all the better to find faster ways of destroying them!" Eberhard grinned, cracking his knuckles. "Less talking more smashing!"
The screen suddenly changed, revealing the silhouetted man. "Don't think that I haven't overheard your boasts and bragging about the Brave Police, Eberhard. If you believed that they're nothing more than mere flies, you'll only find yourself surrounded with no means of escape should your let your guard down."
"Shut up! These poor excuses of criminals here in Japan have been nothing but embarrassments and deemed unfit to even pilot machines infused with our technology!" Eberhard snapped. "I don't see what's the point in you forcing us to find 'allies' when they don't even realise they've got their heads shoved up their asses! Even if we had such 'allies', the Brave Police are still much more inferior, combined or not!"
"Hm, a shame. Defeating Radiant Prism twice over the course of the past months seems to have gotten to your head quite a bit." Replied the silhouetted man, taking a sip of his drink. "Mind you that I'm watching every single action you take when you're dealing with Radiant Prism and the Brave Police. Don't forget that should you stray from your primary objective, I won't hesitate to make the order to send you three back to the jail you've been freed from."
Fuming, Eberhard took a step forward just about ready to punch the screen. "You don't even-"
"Eberhard, that's enough." Hans intervened, a firm hand on his shoulder. "Break a part of our machine and you'll leave us defenceless, that's the main control system you're about to destroy!"
Shrugging his friend off, Eberhard left in a fuming rage clearly not wanting to deal with the silhouetted man anymore than they did. Once he was gone, Hans crossed his arms over his chest. "We're trying all we can, but as Eberhard had put it, the criminals we've been using aren't exactly quite the brightest... Coming up with tactical ideas seems to fly past their heads and we're running out of options."
"Is that so...?"
"Yes, I'm afraid." Replied Hans, shaking his head. "If we can't find someone that matches brain for brain, we won't be able to see the Brave Police in pieces."
There was a long, grim silence between the two sides. The silhouetted man was seen reaching for what appeared to be a button, and someone else vaguely shown on the side, indicating they were talking privately when no sound was heard from his end. Once the exchange was done, the mysterious figure had vanished from view and the silhouetted man removed his hand from what Uwe figured was the mute button. "Very well, I would have had this hold this off for longer but consider yourselves lucky to see what I'm about to show you earlier than planned." The screen then changed from the man to an image of interest. "In a few days from now rather than a few more lies, you'll have all the backup you'll need. I'll be sending these over in a couple of weeks to help aid in your... 'Difficulties', so to speak. They're still making adjustments and tweaks to ensure they function flawlessly."
Hans could only frown, gazing upon what's shown to him and Uwe. "From what you're showing... Something as impressive as this, there must be a price involved as a penalty because we've not."
"Indeed, I believe you're smart enough to know what kind of price you'll pay for the consequences. Don't disappoint me, good day."
When the screen reverted back to displaying information on the two Scotland Yard Braves, Uwe shook his head. "I think our mysterious guy wants to see us fail, but how would I know? I'm not even sure what to say to the offer they've given us, and we don't have a say in this! Anyways do you have a plan in motion yet, Hans? I don't think we're going to get very far with the criminals we've been collaborating with."
"Well, I do have an idea of some sort in the works, but I'll need to refine it to make sure the plan is flawless... But, in the meantime I'll have to tell Eberhard about what he's missed, and he won't be happy about that our freedom is now on the line should we fail again. We have to agree to this, whether we like it or not." Hans said, taking his leave to go find his friend. Uwe watched until Hans was out of sight, turning his attention back to the main console.
"We're screwed, very screwed..." He muttered to himself, beginning to study the data gathered on Brave Police while multitasking with research on what else the machine had to offer.
...
"Jeez, I don't even understand this problem... Why did the teachers give me so much homework on subjects I'm not that great at..." Yuuta muttered to himself, erasing an answer on his homework he wasn't happy with. It was late at night and he couldn't sleep so he had decided to continue working on his homework until he felt sleepy again. Growing up over the years, it had become a thing where leaving incomplete homework was just out of the question for him. Working for the Brave Police as it's Boss was becoming more demanding despite that while there weren't too many dangerous criminals, there were some instances that he had to make decisions on. The workload he'd been given from school has become a lot more than previously. Radiant Prism was off to the side sitting on his desk in her toy sized body, her original body having needed to undergo maintenance. Unfortunately she couldn't be relocated into the human sized body due to the mechanics finding a few problematic issues with it that resulted in her being put in the toy-sized body instead. She found it odd that she had been given a charging place to keep her batteries charged, frowning at the consequences if they had run out and what especially weirded her was that the charging station was like a miniature model of the real docking cradles they'd use back at the station... Such an idea to conjure from the Commissioner himself was something she couldn't understand at all but decided against questioning further about it.
The German Brave had been watching Yuuta struggling with his homework for about almost an hour trying to figure out some problems. She wanted to help him in anyway she could but Deckerd had given her a talk beforehand about that she shouldn't let him ask her for easy answers. '...I wish I were back in my original body, I feel so vulnerable with everything looking so much more bigger than me...' She thought with a frown, laying flat on the desk. She turned her gaze towards the window, knowing Deckerd was out on late night patrol. 'It would've been nice to be out and about rather than just sit around and watch their Boss work on... Homework was it?'
Getting up, she began to climb up onto Yuuta's desk lamp, looking at a few things decorating his room. She could see various pictures of him decorating the walls with the others as well as a few in particular when he'd gone to a different place. Upon closer inspection, she realised that these pictures were of Yuuta with a few members of the Scotland Yard.
"Ah, you're looking at the pictures when I went to the UK, right?" Yuuta suddenly spoke.
Her attention drawn back to Yuuta, the boy had taken a break from his homework. "You went to the United Kingdom?"
"Yeah. Half a year after we had stopped the Fahrzeurgs, Mr. Saejima wanted to send Deckerd to England to meet up with King and his team because the people there were terrified of him and his team after the whole mess because they forced them to do all sorts of bad things and it scared people... Because of what happened in England where Regina is, nothing was working on how to repair their trust in the Scotland Yard fearing that they could go berserk all over again..."
"...Berserk?" Repeated Radiant Prism.
"Yeah, the frequency emitted by the Fahrzeurgs effected a hidden part of the Super A.I., putting them under their control and forced them to do things against their will, and even machines equipped with strong A.I.s were controlled. ...They even controlled Regina's friends, forced them to fight one another which was further encouraged by the Black Chieftain army. It wasn't just the United Kingdom, but the entire world was hit. Even Japan was hit, too but Deckerd and I put a stop to them together before they could do anymore damage. I don't know when you and the other German Brave Police were built, but I think you guys might've been forced to do whatever the frequencies forced you to do."
"Sadly, I have no memories of such an event. I was the last of the four teams stationed across the country to be activated." Radiant Prism replied, shaking her helm. "I assumed the other three teams would've known or even possibly experienced this incident themselves."
"I see... You're lucky that you haven't- Ah! Deckerd's back!" Yuuta was suddenly drawn to hearing the sound of a familiar engine. Radiant Prism watched as Yuuta got up, went over to his window for a moment then ran out of his room.
Reaching the front door, Yuuta quietly opened it, whispering to Deckerd. "Welcome back, Deckerd."
"Ah Yuuta, I thought you were asleep." He said, headlights opening.
"Yeah, I was but then I just couldn't sleep because I wasn't all that happy leaving some of my homework unfinished." The boy replied sheepishly "...I'm still struggling but I'll get it done soon, really."
Knowing that Yuuta's mind seemed to be wandering back and forth clearly fretting about his pile of homework he still had to finish, Deckerd was no stranger to that and figured that he'd need to put Yuuta at ease even if it was short-lived. "Yuuta, how about spending a little bit of time outside with me on a small drive?" He offered. "It's good to take a break once in a while. Ah, do you still have your RC plane? Maybe taking it out for a small flight would be relaxing."
"Ah! How long has it been since I flew that!?" Yuuta exclaimed, but gasped and covered his mouth in an instant when he realised he had been a bit loud. "Deckerd, is it really okay? It's a bit late out... We can't make any noise..."
"Well, you have a day off from school and work tomorrow. But the truth is... There's something I'd like to tell you, the Commissioner asked me to talk to you about this in private."
"In private?"
"Yes, he asked me while I was patrolling to talk about this with you when I've finished."
"O-Okay... Give me a minute, I'll go get changed." Yuuta then closed the door just as he heard Deckerd acknowledge, returning back to his room to go and change. It wasn't until a little later that he came back properly dressed, and had his RC plane in tow.
Deckerd readily opened his door for his friend upon approach. Yuuta was just about to step in when the door opened, Kurumi having heard him leave. "Yuuta, where are you going at this time of hour!?" Her eyes immediately fell onto the RC plane her younger Brother held. She could've sworn that with Yuuta now in his teens, he would've gotten rid of that old thing at some point.
Flinching at Kurumi's sudden exclaim, Yuuta turned around to face his sister. "Deckerd and I are going to have a private talk. It's just police stuff we're going to talk about." He replied. "I know it's really late out but this one's sudden..."
Kurumi gave Yuuta a disapproving look, shaking her head. "The last time you said that to us, you ended up being out at such a late hour, spending the night at the office without even telling us. Don't you recall how scared Azuki was? She kept thinking that something bad happened because we haven't heard you return let alone we couldn't contact you. Yuuta, you know she's been always constantly worrying when you go out in the middle of the night since after you-know-what happened years ago. Besides, you're still a little kid!" Neither Deckerd nor Yuuta wanted to be reminded about what Neuva had almost done so long ago, and the latter himself took months to get over the shock of having almost been fatally shot. Yuuta didn't say anything but Kurumi turned her attention to Deckerd. "Deckerd, I know it's just work stuff, but please don't let Yuuta go out late at night anymore, I'm not kidding when I say that Azuki constantly worries nonstop when Yuuta goes out late at night."
Deckerd was surprised. He was aware that Azuki worried whenever Yuuta would head for the station to work after he finished school, but to learn that Azuki constantly worried about something happening to Yuuta made him frown, he never intended to make Yuuta's sisters worry so much. Looks like he'll have to do solo patrols from now on to avoid this issue in the future. "I'm sorry Kurumi, I never intended to make you or Azuki worry. I'll have a talk with the Commissioner when our work hours start again."
"I don't have any problems with you going out on patrol Deckerd, but Yuuta's still a kid." She pointed out, continuing. "Even if Yuuta's boss made arrangements to have him part of the police when he was ten years old, that doesn't mean he can go around breaking the law on a whim. Especially when it comes to laws about minors being out late at night past curfew." There was a moment of silence, then turned away to glance at the clock, noting the time as she turned to face the two. "There's still time until Yuuta's curfew comes up, so whatever you two are going to talk about, make sure you bring him back before then, alright? I'll explain to Azuki in case she wakes up and finds Yuuta's not in the house, but I can't promise that I can keep her from worrying so much."
"I'll keep that in mind." Replied Deckerd as he watched Kurumi retreat back into the house, after a moment, he whispered to Yuuta. "Let's go, Boss."
"Y-Yeah..."
A little into the drive, Yuuta stared out the window as the environment went by, he wasn't sure where Deckerd was taking him but was annoyed with the earlier incident. 'I'm not the only one who has broken curfew before...' He thought to himself, recalling Kurumi's 'date' with someone from her school. He remembered his sister telling them that she would be out for a couple of hours but would be back before curfew hours but never showed back at the house and couldn't be contacted. By that moment, Yuuta had to call up Deckerd and the others to do a massive search for her. By the time that someone did found her, he'd also discover that the same guy that Kurumi was dating turned out to be related to the one leading the same bike gang they've been chasing for weeks. Of course the whole situation had left Kurumi devastated that her supposed date turned out to be a criminal themself. 'Well, she didn't know... The guy's Father probably told him to keep quiet about that part of his life... But I'm glad that Kurumi wasn't hurt.' He thought, wondering just how did they keep their identity as a criminal incognito the whole time while still managing going to school on the side.
'No, I shouldn't think about it anymore, but I want to know what Deckerd wants to tell me...' Yuuta turned his attention to Deckerd's dash.
"Deckerd-" Jolting, he suddenly burst into laughter as he quickly reached into his jacket pocket. Deckerd himself was confused at Yuuta's sudden burst of laughter until when he saw someone familiar being pulled out of said pocket.
"...Radiant Prism, what were you doing in Yuuta's pocket?" He asked, watching as the German Brave scrambled out of Yuuta's hand and up his arm to his shoulder.
"I don't like the idea of being alone in such a small body if neither of you or your teammates are absent." Radiant Prism frowned, looking at Yuuta. "I'm aware your... Sisters know about me but I don't feel secure around them as much as I feel... Secure around you and Deckerd." She adverted her optics uncomfortably. "I would've tolerated them better in the human sized body but not in this smaller body. The last thing I need to risk is being crushed by heavier objects or being stepped on since I can't fly. Apologies, I didn't mean to sneak into your pocket, I thought that one of your sisters was coming into the room and I felt uncomfortable and the only thing I could think of hiding in was one of your jacket pockets..."
"I see... Sorry, Radiant Prism." Yuuta gave a sad smile, but was quick to be serious on wanting to ensure something. "Be careful, okay? I don't want what happened to Dumpson and Drill Boy to happen to you too where you got lost in the city somewhere.
"...Yes sir." Replied Radiant Prism, her grip on his clothes tightening a bit to ensure.
"Yuuta, we're here." Yuuta waited for Deckerd to stop, then climbed out. He thought right when at some point they passed a sign labeled 'Mount Nanamagari'. It wasn't too far from the city but he didn't come up here much where as he'd visit Nanamagari Beach back when he'd want to fly his RC plane somewhere after it was repaired. The choice of location was surprising as he backed away from Deckerd to give him space to change out of his vehicle mode, approaching once again after his friend walked off the road and sat down in the grass.
"So Deckerd, what did you want to tell me?"
...
"Eh!? Mr. Saejima wants to know if I can take in some early academy lessons?" Yuuta exclaimed in surprise, not expecting that Saejima would go through such lengths to prepare him much earlier to be a proper police officer. "B-But Deckerd, he knows that I'm not old enough for the real thing yet..."
"Well, you're right in that you can't take the actual lessons yet, but the Commissioner had wanted to set you up with something as an early warm up in preparation so that you'd know what to expect when you start taking the real lessons to become a true policeman in the future." Replied Deckerd, bringing a servo down to let his friend climb in, then brought him up to one of his shoulders. "But, he told me to say that it's your choice if you'd like to take them. The reason is that he's not sure if you might decide to change your mind as you get older. He would want you to tell him the next time we return to the station when our work shift begins." Deckerd lowered his helm slightly, staring at the grassy ground.
Yuuta couldn't help but tilt his helm at Deckerd's words. He didn't understand why Deckerd mentioned about these lessons in making him a real policeman when he was already one, until he finally realised what he meant after a moment. "Ah, the lessons that are stuff like dealing with criminals on foot, right? Sprinting after fleeing criminals, vaulting over obstacles, and using a real gun in times of need, right?"
"Yes. Everyone who chooses to become a police officer needs to undergo training. People need to be fit and agile in all various situations. In your case, he intends on giving you some basic paperwork on knowing what to prepare for..." The Brave Detective then frowned slightly, trying not to think about something that was clearly on his mind. This didn't go unnoticed by Yuuta, knowing something didn't seem right about his friend, he snuggled close to the side of his friend's helm in a hug.
"Deckerd... Is something wrong?" Yuuta asked.
"N-No, not really-"
"Deckerd, you know you can tell me anything. We've been friends for a long time." He encouraged with a smile.
Deckerd hesitated for a little longer, optics peeling away from the grassy ground and to Yuuta, but made sure not to move his helm too much. "Yuuta, I'm sorry for keeping this from you but... When the Commissioner brought this up, I... Well... I started to worry about when you become older, fearing that you might decide to leave the job of being a police officer in favor of being something else. I have no doubt that the others fear this too but choose not to say nor show it, but it has been, without a doubt, a fear of ours. Because you've been our Boss for so long, we can't see anyone taking your place."
Surprised at this, Yuuta wasn't sure what to say. Why did Deckerd and the other Braves think that he would change jobs in the future? He turned his attention to the RC controller in his hands, turning it on as the sound of the small RC plane was starting up, then began flying it around. The sound was enough to snap Deckerd out of his worries, optics following and focusing on the plane. "You guys don't have to worry about that." Yuuta began. "Even though I'm getting older with each year that passes, I can't think of working in any other job because I really love working along with you and our other friends. Deckerd, I promise you that I'll never quit being a police officer. Even when times get tough, we always see things through and because we've been in this together for three years, I can't think of working anywhere else but with you guys- Eh? What's that?"
Yuuta noticed something was attached to the RC plane, and when he controlled it to fly closer and past them, he was stunned to see that Radiant Prism was holding tight onto his RC plane's landing gear as if it were a hang glider. "R-Radiant Prism..."
Even Deckerd was stunned at the sight. He had assigned Radiant Prism to watch over Haneda International Airport and the surrounding area as part of her patrol due to knowing that it was what she was really good at and also what made her happiest due to her love of anything aviation related, but to see her ride his best friend's RC plane like a hang glider... That was something he'd never seen nor expect she'd do. "Er, well she did say that she really loves being around airports, so that must mean she really loves airplanes." He said with a smile.
"Yeah. First we have Drill Boy who really loves soccer and then there's Radiant Prism who really loves airplanes and airports." Yuuta chuckled.
The two of them spent talking about other things work related and the occasional talk about previous things that have happened. They also went to talk about how they were going to stop the criminals that piloted the machine that Radiant Prism intends on defeating and arresting. Something then made Yuuta think, becoming concerned as he began. "Hey Deckerd, do you think the German officials would be angry with us if we were forced to destroy the machine Radiant Prism's criminals are using against us? I'm worried because the machine is built in a foreign country rather than being built here in Japan..."
"Well..." Deckerd thought for a moment, then frowned. He had been aware of that much at least but to think that they'd end up in a situation where they'd be forced to destroy it... He thought back to the private conversations in the form of emails he'd share with Redlight. Yuuta's answer was something he wasn't sure about answering but tried regardless. "It's not something I enjoy myself. When we go to other countries to help deal with specific criminals police are struggling with, we're often left with no choice but to destroy them before innocents would get hurt. Sometimes the situation forces you to make a choice, it's either you destroy their machine and stop the criminal or choose not to and allow innocent people get injured from their cruel acts. As a police man, I'm always willing to protect the innocent from the criminals' horrible antics because if I don't do anything at all, I would regret my actions and even feel like I wouldn't deserve to be called a police officer."
"Mm... Even though I haven't thought about it much as a kid, I've started to think about a lot of the consequences of things more and more..." Yuuta said with a sad smile. "I guess... That's just part of growing up. Sometimes I worry about what others think about us and the Scotland Yard, and I'm also finding it much more difficult and realising what it means to be the Boss of the Brave Police." There was a long moment of silence, neither were sure what else to say, until when Yuuta recalled something back then. "Hey Deckerd, remember it took so long for King and the others to regain the trust of the entire United Kingdom? Having to help show people that the Brave Police can be trusted to put a stop to the criminals took months to show them that they're not as bad as what they saw..."
"Yes... I haven't forgotten about that..." Deckerd smiled. "It was difficult, but you did well in helping the Scotland Yard regain the peoples' trust again, and they're so grateful for your help."
The two sat in silence once more as Yuuta idly controlled his RC plane about as they watched Radiant Prism continue to hang onto it, enjoying the ride. Their moment of watching the small object fly around would soon come to an end a few minutes later as Deckerd gently told Yuuta that it was time to head back as curfew was nearing around the corner. Radiant Prism knew beforehand and immediately extended out her feet when she sensed Yuuta beginning to land the plane, preparing to run the moment she touched the ground. Yuuta couldn't help but stare when he watched her begin to run at him with the plane still suspended up above her head, and the sight alone made it hilarious as he couldn't help but laugh.
Radiant Prism looked up at Yuuta, confused at this. "...Sir?"
"Sorry, it just looked so adorable when you did that." He managed to say throughout his laughter as Deckerd set him back down on the ground, watching as Radiant Prism ran up to his feet.
She wasn't sure why it was so funny to him but didn't think on it too much, handing the plane over to him when he reached out to her.
"Running with the plane over your head. It was something I wasn't expect." After having gotten his fit of laughter in control, he then reached over to her once more. "Come on, let's head back." With a nod, Radiant Prism leapt onto Yuuta's arm, easily climbing his jacket sleeve until she was up onto his shoulder. Deckerd had already changed into his vehicle mode and two of them were already heading back home.
The following day, Radiant Prism had been sent back to the station. The mechanics had finally finished maintenance on her original body and she was more than eager to get out of this toy-sized body. When her Super A.I. had been relocated, she almost nearly stepped off the dock but was asked to wait when Toudou asked Radiant Prism to do a few simple limb movements to ensure the replaced parts worked accordingly, but soon let Radiant Prism go once everything was working properly, giving her the all clear. The first thing she did was immediately head over for the lift, wanting to see what the others were up to. Upon reaching the first floor she could overhear some idle chatter.
"...This is tiresome, no matter what we do we're not even closer to finding the criminals." Power Joe grumbled. "I would've loved to have an extra day or two off to see more of the city or see what the others are up to rather than just sit around and do paperwork. Why does McCrane and Dumpson get to go out and start searching... I have no doubt they're probably going to see their girlfriends rather than patrol."
"Oh? Are you saying you're jealous that you don't have a girlfriend yourself?" Gunmax smirked.
"Not funny, Gunmax..."
"If you can complain then you can work." Gunmax then turned his attention over towards the door. "...Oi rookie, you know that I can see you, right?"
Entering, Radiant Prism frowned. "I wasn't sure whether or not if I should just go on patrol and wait until specific topics are finished." She replied. "I did not intend on eavesdropping, my apologies..."
"Nah, just enter whenever you feel like it." Gunmax said with a shrug. "You're acting as if you think that whatever you do is going to get you in trouble, just take it easy."
Power Joe frowned, seeing their friend becoming more and more confused by his words. "Er, Gunmax- No, no nevermind." Just as he was quick to speak, he quickly decided against trying to point something out knowing that it was most likely not going to stick with the sassy Motorcycle Detective in the end. He stared back down at his half finished paperwork, really hating this part of the job on most days.
Seeing as no one else seemed to be talking to Radiant Prism directly, Drill Boy couldn't help but take the chance to inquire what has been on his mind for the past few days. "Hey Radiant Prism, why don't we play soccer later on once we're done for the day? You don't have anything to do, right?" He asked with a grin.
"...Soccer? Why?"
"What!? What do you mean 'why!?'" Drill Boy exclaimed in surprise, arms limp at his sides and his drill shoulders drooping in disbelief. "D-Didn't you ever get some fun every now and then!?" He immediately perked when Power Joe could be heard laughing in the background, causing the younger Brave to glare and snap at him.
"No, I'm far too devoted to-"
"Then we'll just have to fix that!" Interrupted Drill Boy excitedly with a grin, turning away from his older Brother. "If you ask me, it's not fun to just do nothing but work the moment work hours hit. Sometimes I'd get up early and sneak off to my soccer field to have a little fun before starting work!" The moment Drill Boy took out a soccer ball from his chest, Power Joe immediately stood up from his seat, warning him about what happened before and how he'd gotten McCrane angry.
Looking back and forth between the two Brothers, Radiant Prism watched idly between the two Brothers as Power Joe was trying to take the soccer ball away before Drill Boy would get a chance to mess with it around and the last thing he'd need is the ball smashing through the window and rolling out into the busy streets, scaring people and causing property damage. She wasn't sure if she'd stop the two of them, hesitant about saying anything that would cause one or even both to snap at her right back. The small bicker between the two suddenly turned tabled when their little scuffle got a little too serious that she decided to put an end to it, but before she could stop them both, she heard the phone ring from Deckerd and Duke's desks. She knew Deckerd had a day off on Sunday and Duke was currently out on patrol, Radiant Prism hesitated slightly then quickly answered the phone. "Brave Police Radiant Prism, how can I help you?" She answered, listening to the person talking on the other line. She wasn't aware that her answering of the phone had made them stop and observe. "...I see, what else can you tell me about your report?"
"Oi, Patrol car and ambulance wouldn't like you answering-"
"Shh! Let her talk. I've never seen her show this side of her." Power Joe and Drill Boy said, both covering the Motorcycle Detective's mouth. Both of them have decided to put their differences aside as this was far too interesting to interrupt despite that what Radiant Prism did was certainly not something she should've done without permission at least.
The three of them watched as Radiant Prism sat herself in Deckerd's seat as she continued to reply to the caller, taking a pencil and a sheet of paper as she began to write down what she's been told by the person on the other end of the call, clearly in work mode. While everyone knows that she spends most of her time standing off to the side and staring out the window or out on a flight when she has nothing else to do, they've never seen her suddenly break into actual work mode. Gunmax by this point moved Power Joe and Drill Boy's servos away from his mouth, silently hissing a curse at both of them but was clearly surprised himself, perhaps maybe she wasn't much of a rookie than he thought. The way he was seeing her now, it felt like a professional leader rather than a mere rookie who had no idea what to do. When the call finally finished as the aerial hung up, Radiant Prism stood up.
"Where are you going, Radiant Prism?" Power Joe asked, receiving the paper that she had been writing on.
"Up north, there's an accident and some people are trapped due to a landslide that occurred so I'm going over there to help out. You three can read the note if you both want and choose to join me in assisting, I'll-"
"Hold up, you may not be much of a rookie as I had thought but don't try to do things alone. Go ahead, just give us the order and let's go save them." Gunmax chimed in.
"B-But-" Radiant Prism frowned as she didn't like this, but sighed as she spoke knowing there's no time for this. "Right, let's go everyone."
Having flown ahead since she had no need for roads, Radiant Prism was almost to her destination. However, Power Joe began contacting her as she listened to what he had to say. -Hey Radiant Prism, mind giving us the proper coordinates? We're sort of a bit stuck here.-
"What do you mean?"
-Uh, hate to say it but you wrote the entire thing on paper in German. I can't read the language since I don't have that particular language file.- Replied Power Joe.
There was a bit of laughter on Gunmax's end. -Well, I guess despite she displays some sort of leadership, she's still leaning more as a rookie after all, since she's still not used to our language yet. Anyways, give us the proper coordinates but none of the foreign language stuff.-
"...Apologies, when I get serious on the job I don't really notice that I'm writing down things of importance in my language... To be fair, I'm still struggling on how to write in Japanese. I have the language files, yes but knowing how to write the letters- Characters isn't exactly the same as downloading a copy of the appropriate language files. I intend on asking Deckerd and Yuuta to help show me how to write in this language." Replied Radiant Prism, having prepared the coordinates in the midst of her response. "There, I've resent it this time in Japanese, you should be able to understand it now."
-We'll meet you and Drill Boy at the location. It shouldn't take us too long to get there.- Power Joe replied.
Having arrived ahead of time, Radiant Prism and Drill Boy began work ahead of time and in a short amount of time managed to carefully dig out a couple of people out thanks to Drill Boy being able to detect things underground easily. "Alright, I'm not detecting anymore people here nearby, let's go check another part of the landslide... I'd say over there next once we dropped off these people to safety, there shouldn't be anymore people stuck underground here so you don't have to be worried about accidentally stepping or crushing on people buried under." He said happily as Radiant Prism nodded, following the Soccer Detective over to the next location. First things first, they dropped off the people they've saved over to a safe place within the reach of the gathering ambulances. Power Joe and Gunmax both arrived on the scene accompanied with Duke. Right away, both Gunmax and Power Joe got to work, with the latter changing into his Armour form so that he could get around more easily and spot for anyone still stuck. With Drill Boy's help, he showed Power Joe where to dig others out while Duke helped the paramedics attend to those injured. 'It's fortunate that Power Joe is well equipped for a job like this, it's faster than Drill Boy and I having to dig people out with our bare servos...' She thought.
"This is a lot of damage." Power Joe commented, digging a couple of people free as Drill Boy carefully gathered them and took them to the safe places nearby. "A landslide this big doesn't really feel natural to me at all. I've seen big landslides over the years but something this scale doesn't seem very... Natural." Power Joe pointed out, getting Radiant Prism's attention. "Think about it, I have no doubt that someone is behind this causing th-" He immediately cut himself off when their comms badge went off, McCrane and Dumpson were responding to an incident in a different part of Japan as they mentioned about the same thing, another landslide. The next report was Shadowmaru and Kagerou responding to another landslide elsewhere, totaling three separate locations.
"Once we've make sure everyone is rescued and brought to safety, we'll look into it afterwards. It's far too dangerous if we leave them be to go investigate, otherwise people could suffocate from the lack of oxygen." Radiant Prism pointed out. "We may not need to breathe, but they do."
"Yes sir." Power Joe acknowledged.
Frowning at this acknowledgement, it felt so... Alien to Radiant Prism that Power Joe just simply... She shook her helm, now was not the time to dwindle into her thoughts as she assisted Gunmax with helping spot for any stranded people from above while Power Joe and Drill Boy worked together to dig people out. The sight down below was just so sad, but Power Joe's words about the landslides did peak her curiosity. The sight of the damage from above was far too suspicious, glancing at it every now and then while taking people to safety.
They continued with the rescue, gathering as many people as they could before needing to return to drop them off.
