Misfit Chapter 30: "I'm Coming, Louie!"

Yes, I know, I haven't updated since forever. I just got really caught up in writing for Nobody Listens. This is what happened with Huey, June, Violet, April, and May in chapter 29.

June dragged Huey with her down the stairs.

"June! I can walk, you know!"

"Then move it!"

Huey moved out of her grasp and got up onto his feet, "Yup, so, what are we doing?" He asked when they were at the bottom of the staircase.

"I actually don't know" June scratched her head, "I mean, I know what we should do: get the scroll back. But how exactly will we do that, I don't know."

"Soooooo you basically don't have any clue what we're doing." Huey deadpanned.

"Not yet! But I will…by finding out where Dewey and Webby are!"

She grabbed Huey by his arm again and ran into the kitchen, "Mrs. B!"

Bentina Beakley was cutting food in the kitchen, "June, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, I, nothing." June waved her hand, taking a Pep off the counter and slurping, "I was just going to ask you if you knew where Webby and Dewey were."

"I think they went to go visit Lena."

"Great! Let's go-!" June was about to pull Huey by his arm again.

"Wait. April, Violet, and May asked me the same thing…why are you kids so interested in finding Webby and Dewey?"

"Cause we…are…going to play a game with them! Yeah…" June put on a fake smile but made it look believing.

"Okay then." Beakley said, returning to her cutting and not thinking too much about it.

- Later-

June panted, running out of the mansion, "Come on! We need to get there before Violet and my sisters do!"

Huey raised an eyebrow, "Why? I mean, we could work with them."

"NO! They'll tell Scrooge, and then it'll just be a whole mess!" June complained.

"Why are you so afraid that Scrooge will get on this?!" Huey yelped as his cap fell off from the wind, and then grabbed it, sticking it back on his head.

"Less questions, more running!" June snapped.

"You know, this would go a lot faster if we had a vehicle of some sort."

"Oh, good idea!" June ran across the street to where the busses usually came, "Come on bus, come on!"

Huey rolled his eyes, "You know a bus won't actually come if you urge it too, right?"

Just then, a white bus pulled up next to them.

June smirked, "You were saying?"

Huey grumbled something under his breath.

"Let's go!" June and Huey got onto the bus.

"Okay, which stop is the Saberwing house?" Huey asked her.

"The second one I think. Hopefully we'll get there before- oh, no." June groaned when she saw that Violet, April, and May were getting on the bus. Frantically, she looked at the bus driver, "Don't let them on the bus!"

"What? Why? Citizens of Duckburg are free to ride the bus."

"Because…because…" June bit her beak, "I'll give you 50 dollars if you don't!"

April face-palmed in the background.

The driver grinned as June gave her the money, "Sorry kiddos."

May seethed and Violet pouted while April gave her a look.

"Ha! One step closer to the Saberwings!" June cheered.

Huey scowled, "You seriously bribed her?!"

"It's all in the budget." She imitated an ocean wave with her arm.

This freaked out Huey, "WHAT BUDGET?!"

"Nothing, look, we're almost there!" June changed the subject.

"Next stop, Brickwood Street." The bus driver announced.

"Why's it even called 'Brickwood' anyway?" June watched as the bus pulled up next to a sign with the words, "Welcome to Brickwood Street!" in bubble letters.

Huey shrugged, "Dunno, just a weird name, I guess."

"Like, do they have trees made of bricks or something?"

Huey laughed, "Now that is ridiculous."

"You're ridiculous!" June pointed to a tree, "See, made of bricks!"

Huey raised an eyebrow, "Pretty sure that's just another sign in the shape of a tree."

June crossed her arms, "You're no fun."

"I'm realistic."

June snorted, "Sure, sure. When pigs fly!"

A pig in a hot air balloon flew past them, "Wheeee!"

It was Huey's turn to smirk.

"How-?"

"If you haven't figured out that Duckburg is cuckoo-bananas world, then you're honestly hopeless."

June seethed, "Sass is for me, not for you, for ME." Her eyes suddenly widened, "What are we doing, we need to find Lena's house before-!"

Violet, May, and April came out of a house to the left of the street.

"-They do." June finished, running up to them, "Where are they?!"

"They apparently went home." April told her sister.

"Ughhhhhhh, come on!" June grabbed Huey's arm, "We need to get back to McDuck manor!" She looked around for the bus, seeing that it was gone, "Looks like we're gonna have to run the way back."

June sprinted ahead of them.

"June, wait!" April called out to her, and June nearly dodged getting hit by a car, "I'm going to get there before you do if it's the last thing I do!"

"It probably will." May deadpanned.

"Come, after her!" Violet started running as well, and soon it had become like a wild goose chase.

June panted, "I can't give up now!" She grinned as she potted McDuck manor, "YEEEEEESSSSS!" She swung open the door and ran inside, "DUCCCKKKKKKWOOOOOORRRRRTTTTHHHHHHH!" She screamed, putting her hands on her knees, out of breath from running.

"Yes, miss?" The ghost butler floated above her head.

"Whe…Wh…" She gasped for air, "Where are Dewey and Webby?!"

"Upstairs, in the boys' room, I believe." He blinked, watching as June rushed upstairs, April, May, Violet, and Huey following her.

Duckworth scratched his head, "Those kids are quite strange."

- Dewey's Room-

June slammed open the door and pounced on Webby, "Give me the scroll! NOW!"

Dewey glared at her, "Only if you tell us where you got this key! And what does this have to do with Louie?"

June seethed, trying to reach for the scroll on Dewey's bed.

"Stop! We can work with them and solve the mystery!" Violet said, trying to get June off of the bed.

"IT'S MIIIIINNNNNNNEEEE!" June grabbed it, but Huey snatched it away from her and gave it to May.

"No!" June panicked.

April held her back, "Why do you want the scroll for yourself so much anyways?!"

June burst out, "Because I want to be the one to save Louie, okay?!"

Everyone went silent.

June took a deep breath, "Everyone here has something, and I…I just want to too. This mystery was the first time that I actually felt like I was doing something important. I…I don't want to lose that feeling." Her eyes sparkled with tears.

"June, you can still save Louie…but we're going to help you, okay? No one said that you weren't the star of this mission." April smiled, 'And you are. You're our leader, and we can't do this without you. What do you say?"

June smiled and took her hand, "Okay."

"Now that you're done with the whole sob story, can someone please tell us what's going on?!" Webby asked.

June told them everything that they had learned so far.

"So Glomgold and Magica are holding Louie captive at the location of where his building is?!" Dewey asked, pointing at the blueprints.

"I think." June said.

"But how are we supposed to know where? These are just dumb blueprints." Dewey scowled, "All we know is that it may be underground."

"Wait…we rubbed a pencil over the back of this, but not the front!" Huey realized, grabbing a pencil and rubbing it over the blueprints.

"What does it say? Did anything show up?" May asked.

"These are coordinates. This must be the location of whatever this place is underground."

June grinned, "I'm coming, Louie!"

And the duckies are on the case!
