Levi sighed with delight. The warm water relieved all the aches in his body, especially in his ass for riding too long (in a horse). The landlady was polite and offered some essence to go with the bath. Levi planned on giving her extra tips for the hard work on preparing a hot water for them.

Eren's hand ran on his arms, gently scrubbing his skin ever so loving. The tub was bigger enough allowing the mates to enjoy the warm water together with Levi's back on Eren's front.

Levi sighed again when Eren messages his shoulders. "This is the life," he moaned.

"I think our room is ready now," Eren whispered in the raven's ear. Pushing his hips on Levi's ass, letting his mate know that his ready.

"Really now?" Levi smirked, turning to face his mate. "Well, I guess I should get going then?"

"Go now," Eren pushed back Levi's hair and nuzzled his face on him. "Before I lose it."

"Jerk off in here and I'll kill you," Levi threatened before standing and getting out of the tub. He walked towards the towels in the counter, putting more swing in his hips than normal, seducing his Alpha. Levi snatched the towel and started humming. Raising the towel to his head, the Omega dries his hair while swaying his hips in his tune.

Eren blinked, mouth hanging open while he eyed Levi's seductive show. He can jerk off right there but Levi's threat was engraved in his mind. Closing his eyes, Eren breathing in and out.

"Hey, Eren."

Eren almost whined, daring to crack an eye open. Levi had his robe on but those eyes that zoned at him rattled his core and also the way Levi slowly glide his tongue on his pink lips.

"Don't keep me waiting," Levi smirked, swaying his hips as he left the bathroom.

Eren groaned, gripping the edge of the tub with both hands. Even when Levi said that he shouldn't be kept waiting, Eren stayed in the tub, calming himself and giving his mate's time to prepare. After a good 5 minutes, Eren was out of the tub and quickly put on his robe and run up the stairs to their room.

The town they stopped by was small, even smaller than the previous town. The inn looked decent, they offered breakfast but they only have five-room and for now, Eren, Levi, and Erwin were their only customers. The blonde Alpha was polite to pick the room away from theirs, which Levi greatly appreciated.

Now face to face with their door, Eren shook his hands. He was not sure why but he was nervous after Levi agreed to be his mermaid, Eren's mind kept imagining how perfect Levi will be as a mermaid. The imagery didn't help with his lower regions.

Lifting his knuckles, Eren knocked at the door. He heard a thud on the floor and a quiet 'fuck! shit!' followed afterward.

Immediately, the lust was replaced with concern. Thinking that his Omega got hurt inside. "Levi? Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah! Hold on a sec!"

Eren waited, tapping his foot impatiently. He was not impatient of holding his mate, more like he was worried. His Omega could have got hurt while preparing his props and if Levi does get hurt, Eren won't forgive himself.

Then the door cracked open.

"Come in," Levi's voice was soft almost like a whisper.

Eren didn't stall and went in, closing the door behind him. He observed his mate, eyes rake down on Levi from head to toe, searching for any injury. The Omega was not wearing any makeshift tail which only made Eren worried. Did Levi got hurt in the process?

Levi smiled, running his hands on the shirt oversized shirt that he was wearing. It was Eren's shirt, after all, the hem reached to his thighs, excellent for sleepwear. Levi's smiled turned into a smirk when the outlaw walked towards him.

"Are you hurt?" Eren asked, gently grabbing the other's arms.

"Um, no." Levi blinked.

"I heard a little commotion when I knocked. Levi, you have to tell me. If you got hurt because of this mermaid thing then I can't forgive myself. I'll eradicate this fetish and-"

"Whoa! Hold it!" Levi hushed him, placing his index finger on the Alpha's lips. He momentarily closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I was just trying to make a tail with the sheets but it... was too short. When you knocked, I kinda panicked and fell."

"You fell?!" Eren exclaimed, gently scooped the Omega, and let him sit on the bed.

"But I'm fine, really!" Levi panicked when Eren knelt and started inspecting his feet.

With closer inspection, Eren felt like a terrible Alpha and mate. There was a faint bruise on Levi's right ankle.

"Hey," Levi called out. "It's not that bad." Suppressing a hiss when he tried to move his ankle.

Eren dropped his forehead on Levi's foot. "This is all my fault," He whispered and placed a kiss on Levi's foot.

"Hey," Levi patted his hair. "Look here." Eren did as instructed, big, glassy blue-green eyes gazed at blue-stormy ones. "Listen," Levi started. "What happened was an accident which was also my fault because I wasn't careful. And I decided to go with this, I did this because... I want to hold you." Levi cupped his face and Eren leans on it.

"I want to hold you too.."

"This will heal by morning trust me."

"I trust you but let's fix it up real quick."

With his feet now bandaged, they are back on the bed with Levi running his fingers on Eren's hair while he rests his head on the raven's chest. The Alpha was out his robe and changed since Levi wore his favorite green shirt, he settles for a white button-up shirt.

"Oh, wait," Levi sat up, gently pushing away the Alpha off him. "Notice anything?" he smirked, tucking his hair on his ear.

Eren's eyes widen when he noticed the wedded appendages sticking on Levi's ear, making them look like wedded mermaid ears. "How did you?"

"Well, first glue, of course."

"It won't hurt your ears?" Sitting up, Eren asked, more worried than ever.

"No, water will do the trick when taking it off."

"I see, that's great," Eren nodded shyly.

"Well?" Levi smirked, opening his arms wide. Welcoming the Alpha in his embrace.

Eren smiled, more than happy to comply with his mate's request. It was too fast that the brunette only registered how Levi pulled him down and pinned him down.

"Ready?" Levi straddles his Alpha, a playful smirk on his lips.

Things got heated so fast but he welcomes his Omega's intention. "Oh, yeah."

Their lips were about to meet when three gunshots fired in the air. Levi pulled away and stared at the window, the curtain was down but both can hear the noise outside.

Without saying a word, Eren gently pushed Levi off of him and took a peek at the window. Five bandits got off their horses and started barging into the shops. "Don't worry, they're just amateur outlaws," Eren sighed. "The authorities will handle them like a piece of cake."

"I'm not worried, I have an outlaw right here. And I would be very angry if he doesn't come back in bed," Levi said, seductively licking his lips while his eyes rake on the Alpha's body.

Eren smirked walking towards his mate that was more than ready to have him in bed.

A series of knocks came from their door, fast and sounded urgent. Eren growled, he was not fazed if it was the poor excuse of bandits on the other side. He was more pissed off that they ruined the moment he was going to have with his Omega.

"Let me handle this first," Eren turned to their bags and fished some bullets. He took his gun and expertly loaded the barrel.

"Uh, huh," Levi hummed, rolling in his stomach he silently observed Eren. He was not scared of anything, even if the outlaws barged into their room and demanded their belongings. Levi knew his Alpha can take care of them, his inner Omega purred with pride.

Eren was ready to aim at the person the moment he opened the door but before his hand touches the doorknob, Erwin's voice came from the other side.

"Yeagers?"

"Erwin?"

"Erwin..." Sitting up, Levi growled quietly.

"There are bandits in town." Erwin quickly supplied. Another gunshot was fired outside.

"Yeah, we heard. The sheriffs can handle them," Eren yawned.

"No, this town had no sheriffs. The landlady said that the sheriff was long gone. I know, I'm asking too much but... I need your assistance."

Eren turned to Levi with a frown. The raven eyes widen, knowing his Alpha's intention. "No," Levi growled.

Two more gunshots fire in the air, followed by screams. Eren quickly walked towards his mate and peck his lips. "Let me settle this."

"No!" Levi protested. "At least let me join you."

Green eyes landed on Levi's ankle. Taking a deep breath, Eren quickly left the room and locked him in.

"Eren! No!" Levi screamed, getting off the bed to chase the Alpha but his ankle zapped in pain the moment he put pressure on it. He fell on the floor boards with a thud. "Ugh! Damn it!" He cursed, slamming his fist on the wooden floor.

Another series of gunshots pierced the silence of the night. Screams and cries fill up the void.

Levi quickly and carefully get up, limping towards the window. Right there in the middle of the road, five bandits took hostage of three children while demanding money from the people. Then Erwin came to view and tried to negotiate with them. Levi can't fully hear their conversation but it's obvious that it didn't go well. The tall buff looking bandit aimed his gun on Erwin and pulled the trigger.

Then Eren came to view and saved the late commander, the bullet shot him right on his shoulder. Levi's heart rate skyrocket the moment he saw red sipping through Eren's white shirt.

"Eren!" Levi screamed.
