It's finally here! Part 1 of the Season 2 finale of Super Louds: The Series! It has been an amazing season and I'm happy that I will be able to bring more stories to you guys in Season 3.
However, right now, we have a finale to get into. After the reviews of course.
REVIEWS
Matthew Crispin - Yup. Hank and Hawk were pretty much destined to be supervillains. They'll appear again in Season 3. Oh and don't worry, DJ Rhythm and Cadence will be teaming up next season as well.
JTWAS1994 - Trust me, the team ups with these heroes won't be stopping here. Expect more of this in Season 3!
Guest - I will look at your Stratagem ideas in detail when I am planning out Season 3. As of right now, I only have a few ideas that I know are going to be in the next season. Other than that, it's a pretty clean slate. So, your ideas are fair game to be included.
Guest - You're welcome. I've thought long and hard about what I could do to make Baron Hush unique and I think I've got it. I think you're going to like what I decided on. Oh and I will utilize your new idea for Nurse Sue as well.
Zoo Master - That sounds like an idea! I think you just gave the shifty feline a backstory!
Guest - No you're fine. Penny Arcade hasn't appeared again since you last saw her. Don't worry. She'll be coming back in Season 3.
Nick Name - That's perfect. Thanks man. Look out for this name next season. ;)
Alright, it's time to start the episode. I know you guys have been waiting to see it so I'm not gonna keep you anymore. See you in the outro! Reviews and constructive criticism welcome!
NB: Credit goes to several guest reviews for the inspiration of this episode.
I would also like to dedicate this episode to Fred Willard. For those of you who may not know, Fred Willard was Albert/Pop-Pop's voice actor in the show. He has recently passed away on May 15th of this year and I would like all of us to acknowledge him at this time.
Thank you JTWAS1994 for letting me know about this information.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Loud House. All rights belong to Nickelodeon.
NB: The theme song is "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons, with my own little twist in the lyrics. It follows the same tune though, of course. I felt like the song fit perfectly with the series so, here we are. You can kind of imagine Lincoln singing the lyrics if you like, as I feel they're sort of based off of him.
Theme Song (Extended Version)
Just a young gun with a quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my old life behind
Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold
Don my mask and attire, my new persona
I was "Lightning" before the "Thunder"
Thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun- thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun-thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder, thunder
Thunder!
Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was fighting for the masses
Who do you think you are?
Dreaming 'bout being a big star
Said I was basic, said I was easy
I was always riding in the backseat
Now I'm smiling in the streets
While they're all clapping for my family
Thunder, thunder
Thun- thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun-thunder
Thun-thun-thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!
Thunder!
*song interlude*
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!, Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!, Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
Lightning and Super Thunder!, Thunder!
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
(Never give up, never give up)
Lightning and Super Thunder!, Thunder!
(Never give up on your dreams)
Thunder, feel the Thunder!
(Never give up, never give up)
Lightning and Super Thunder!, Thunder!
(Never give up on your dreams)
Thunder, thunder, thun-
Thunder, thun-thun-thunder, thunder
Thunder, thunder, thun-
Thunder, thun-thun-thunder, thunder
(Woah-oh-ohh)
Thunder, thunder, thun-
Thunder, thun-thun-thunder, thunder
(Woah-oh-ohh)
Thunder, thunder, thun-
Thunder, thun-thun-thunder, thunder
Episode 27: Spoils of War Part 1
It is a rainy night as a lightning flash faintly illuminates an old looking mansion draped in darkness.
*someone is seen walking through the halls with a pistol drawn*
"Al, you sure you can handle this by yourself?" asked a female, via communicator.
"Would you trust me Ruth? I know what I'm doing. I don't want to put anyone else in danger on this mission." said Albert.
He was a lot younger here, as he appeared much slimmer and had less visible wrinkles. He still had his trademark white hair. He was dressed in a black tuxedo which covered his white dress shirt and black tie. He also had a utility belt around his waist.
"Just be careful. You know Hush is tricky." said Ruth, via communicator.
"Oh yeah? Well, he's gonna be in for a surprise when I take it to him for kidnapping my wife!" said Albert.
He had made it to the end of the long hall and was faced with two tall doors. He pushed open one of the doors and peered his head inside.
"Honey!" exclaimed Albert's wife, who was currently tied up to a chair in the middle of the room.
Without thinking, Albert suddenly rushed inside heading towards her. However, Ruth detected someone else in the room from the remote controlled heat sensors she had hovering around the exterior of the mansion.
"Al! Wait!" exclaimed Ruth, via communicator.
Before Albert could reach his wife, a bullet nearly struck him. Luckily, Albert had fast reflexes and dodged the attack at the last second.
"Darn. I missed." said an unknown voice, somewhere in the room.
"Let her go Hush. Don't make any sudden moves." said Albert, drawing his weapon. He kept turning in circles in the middle of the room, looking for "Hush".
"You claim to calculate every move you make Sentinel, but when you're facing a great strategist such as myself, you're bound to overlook a few things." said "Hush", still hidden somewhere.
*a gunshot is suddenly heard followed by a shriek*
Albert turned around in dread as he witnessed the scene behind him. His wife was now slumped in the chair and "Hush" was revealed to be standing behind her. He still had the pistol he just fired held to her head.
"Daria! No!" shouted Albert distraught.
"*laughs evily* Next time you'll learn to stay out of my way Sentinel." said "Hush", with a look of absolutely no remorse.
"*whimpering* No...no..."
Albert was struggling to believe what had just happened.
"Al? Albert, what happened?!" asked Ruth, via communicator.
There was no response from Albert. He was numb to everything else around him at this point. Albert was now holding his wife in his hands, who was desperately clinging to life. He looked toward the figure who was shrouded in darkness.
"Farewell Sentinel." said "Hush", as he walked away from him, but strangely his footsteps made no sound.
"*tears streaming down his face* Nooooo!" exclaimed Albert in pain.
"Albert?! Al! What happened? Al? Al?!-"
"Albert! Hey! Al!" exclaimed Myrtle, trying to wake Albert out of his apparent nightmare.
Albert suddenly woke up panting heavily.
"Albert, it's me, Myrtle. Are you okay?" asked Myrtle concerned.
"Huh? Oh, Myrtle, I...I'm fine." said Albert, starting to calm down.
"You look like you just had a bad dream hon." said Myrtle.
"It...It was nothing honey. Don't worry about it." said Albert, trying to change the subject.
"Are you sure?" asked Myrtle.
"Yes...uh, why are you in my room so early Myrtle?" asked Albert.
"Oh Al, did you forget? We're supposed to visit your daughter and our grand kids today." said Myrtle.
"Oh right! How could I forget?" said Albert.
"Rita should be by to pick us up soon. Let's not keep her waiting." said Myrtle.
"Alright. I'll be ready." said Albert.
"*kisses his cheek* Great. I'll meet you in the lobby." said Myrtle, as she left Albert's room.
Albert sighed as he got out of his bed. He opened the bottom drawer of his nightstand and pulled out a small brown box. He took the lid off the top of the box which revealed various photos. He grabbed one of the photos and stared at it with a tear in his right eye.
"*sniffs* I'm sorry Daria...I let you down. *sniffs* I should've never let "Hush" capture you." said Albert, looking at a picture of his deceased wife.
She was a fair skinned woman with blonde hair. She looked a lot like Rita.
A tear then dropped from his eye and landed on the photo. Albert wiped his eyes before putting the photo back in the box. He then put the box back in the drawer of his nightstand.
A few minutes later, Albert was dressed in his usual fashion and left his room to meet Myrtle in the lobby. Upon leaving however, Sue revealed herself by poking her head out from behind the corner of a wall.
"*laughs to herself* Oh Albert. I always knew you were hiding something." said Sue, with a mischievous smile.
Meanwhile, Rita had just arrived at the Sunset Canyon Retirement Home...
"Oh! Albert! She's here! Come on honey!" said Myrtle, as she rushed out the front doors of the building.
*Myrtle enters Vanzilla*
"Hey Myrtle. Where's Dad?" asked Rita.
"Oh he's right behind me. He'll be out in a minute. I have to tell you though, he seems a bit down today." said Myrtle.
"Really? I wonder why..." said Rita, to herself.
Just then, Albert walked out of the front doors of the retirement home and approached Vanzilla.
"*walks around and opens the front passenger door* Rita! There's my favorite daughter!" said Albert, as he hopped in the van.
"*chuckles* Dad, I'm your only daughter." said Rita.
"That's why you're my favorite." said Albert, as he kissed Rita on her cheek.
"Alright, come on. The kids are waiting for you at home. They can't wait to see you." said Rita.
"I can't wait to see them either. It's been so long since I've seen my grandkids." said Albert.
Rita then put Vanzilla in gear and started to drive away from the retirement home. As she drove however, she occasionally glanced over at her father.
For some reason she sensed that something was wrong, but she couldn't figure out what it was.
Meanwhile at the Loud House...
"Hey, has anybody seen my lucky baseball mitt? I need it for when we're playing baseball with Pop-Pop later." said Lynn, currently in the living room.
Just then, out of her peripherals, she saw the couch suddenly levitate into the air.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Lynn surprised.
"Sorry Lynn. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm looking for my poetry book. I have some new poems I want to show Pop-Pop." said Lucy, suspending the couch in midair with her telekinesis.
There she found her poetry book lying on the ground.
"Ah-ha. There it is." said Lucy, as she picked up the book.
"Hey! My lucky chicken bone! *runs up and picks it up from under the couch* Thanks Lucy! I've been looking for this!" said Lana, as she put the bone in her front overall pocket.
Lynn and Lucy just cringed before Lucy placed the couch back on the ground.
"Okay Lori, what about pink and purple for the balloons?" asked Leni, holding various colored balloons in her hands.
"It's nice, but I literally think it's too girly for Pop-Pop." said Lori, coming downstairs to meet Leni.
"I agree. As much as I love pink, I think red and purple would be a much better choice." said Lola, now joining the conversation.
"Red! Of course! That's totes perfect! You're a genie Lola!" said Leni.
"Uh, I do believe you mean, genius." said Lisa, coming from the kitchen.
"Yeah! That too!" said Leni.
"*rolls her eyes* Anyway, now we need to figure out how to blow up all these balloons." said Lori.
"Fret not eldest sibling. I have the solution. The Air Nozzle 4000! This machine comes with four air hoses that you can attach balloons too. Then, with the push of a button, the balloons are filled with air in no time at all!" said Lisa, as she presented her new invention.
It was a large compressor with four air hoses attached to it.
"Wow Lisa! You're a genie too!" said Leni.
"Yes. Thank you." said Lisa.
The Loud kids who were present started taking balloons and filled them with air using the machine. They accomplished this task in about 2 minutes.
"Wow! We're literally done!" said Lori amazed.
"This thing would be great in helping me inflate my basketballs." said Lynn.
Suddenly, a ball of electricity appeared from a lamp and revealed itself to be Lincoln.
"Guys! I just saw Mom coming up the street! Pop-Pop's almost here!" said Lincoln.
"Alright dudes! Everyone center stage! Let's give Pop-Pop the greatest welcome ever!" said Luna, coming downstairs.
"Darn! It's a shame we don't have a WELCOME MAT. Hahahaha! Get it?" joked Luan.
Everyone groaned as usual.
"Alright kids. Your mother just pulled up in the driveway. Everyone group together!" said Lynn Sr., coming out of the kitchen, holding Lily.
The pets suddenly came out of nowhere as well. All five of them forming a straight line in front of the Louds.
Suddenly, the front door opened and Rita led Albert and Myrtle inside.
"Hey Pop-Pop! Hey Gran-Gran!" exclaimed all the Loud kids.
"Hey! There's my favorite grandkids!" said Albert, as he received a hug from all the Loud siblings.
"Aww! No love for Gran-Gran?" said Myrtle, playfully teasing.
"Of course! We're totes happy to see you too." said Leni, as she, Lucy, and Lana gave Myrtle a hug.
"Hey Pop-Pop, I've got the field all ready out back. I hope you're ready to hit some home runs!" said Lynn.
"Oh, I don't know Lynn. My arm isn't what it used to be, but I'll give it a shot." said Albert.
"Hey Pop-Pop, I wanted you to check out my poems." said Lucy.
"No wait! I want you to see my glitter collection Pop-Pop!" said Lola.
"I was actually wondering if you could POP on over to hear my new material!" said Luan.
At this point, the Loud kids started to argue with each other over what Albert was going to do first.
"Kids! Kids! Stop fighting! All of you will get a chance to show your stuff to Pop-Pop." said Rita.
"Yes, there's no need to fuss kids. We're gonna be here pretty much all day." said Myrtle.
"Well, I'm sure you two must be hungry by now. Come on Albert, I have a whole Lynn-tastic feast ready for you and Myrtle." said Lynn Sr.
"That sounds great Lynn." said Albert, as he and Myrtle followed behind Lynn Sr. into the dining room.
The other Louds followed suit behind them.
Meanwhile at a seemingly abandoned mansion in an unknown location...
*sabres are heard clashing in a dark room as a figure in a fencing suit is seen fighting several other fencers off*
"That's it. Good. *wheezes* Keep your wits about you." said a mystery figure, sitting in a chair obscured by darkness.
He seemed to be coaching the figure in fencing combat.
Just when the figure thought they had defeated the last opponent, one more appeared from the darkness and landed a point on the figure's arm.
"Game, set. That's it." said the mystery figure.
"Wait, what?! Where'd he come from?" exclaimed the figure, who appeared to be a young girl based on her voice.
"I told you to keep your wits about you granddaughter. *wheezes* It's alright, you still have much to learn. (to other fencers) Alright men, you may leave." said the mystery figure.
The other fencers then dispersed and left the room. Just then, large doors opened and a soldier suddenly entered the room.
He was dressed in an emerald green jacket with gold buttons and also emerald green pants. He had a foil (fencing sword) holstered to his side and wore golden gloves and boots.
"I'm sorry to interrupt my lord, but there is someone here who wishes to speak with you." said the soldier, with a bow.
"Well *wheezes* out with it. Who is it?" asked the mystery figure.
"Ratchet has returned." said the soldier.
Upon hearing that name, the unknown man suddenly sat up in his chair in surprise.
"Um, granddaughter, *wheezes* would you go back to your quarters if you please. I must have an important meeting right now." said the mystery figure.
"*sighs* Okay." said the young girl, as she left the room via another exit.
As soon as she left, Nurse Sue was led into the room by the soldier, who then promptly closed the doors behind him.
"Sue. *wheezes* This is a surprise. It's been years. *wheezes* What brings you back here?" asked the mystery figure.
"Sorry Baron, but life led me down a different path after I left the castle. However, something happened recently that made me seek you out again." said Sue.
"And what's that?" asked the mystery figure, apparently known as "Baron".
"I've found who you've been looking for. I've found the Ultra Sentinel." said Sue sinisterly.
The mystery figure just sat there in darkness, before flashing a creepy smile.
"Where is he?" asked the mystery figure.
"He's one of the old geezers I have to take care of at my retirement home. I've been keeping my eye on him for awhile now." said Sue.
"*laughs to himself* Sue, *wheezes* you never disappoint. Go and bring the Sentinel to me. *wheezes* His days of hiding are *wheezes* over." said the mystery figure.
"Understood." said Sue, turning to leave.
"Sue. Wait." said the mystery figure suddenly.
Sue turned back around almost abruptly.
"Make sure there are no *wheezes* witnesses." said the mystery figure.
Sue just gave a head nod before walking towards the large doors to exit the dark room.
Back at the Loud House, the Loud kids, Albert, and Myrtle were outside playing baseball.
"Oof! Sorry kids, I need to take a breather for a second. Myrtle, why don't you be the catcher for a bit?" said Albert, as he handed the baseball mitt to Myrtle.
"Okay hon." said Myrtle, taking his place.
"Hurry back Pop-Pop! We've got 'em on the ropes!" said Lynn.
Albert just raised his hand in the air for reassurance before heading towards the house. However, as he opened the front door, he nearly tripped on one of Lily's toys but was luckily saved by Rita.
"I've got you Dad!" exclaimed Rita.
"Phew! Thank you honey...Huh?" said Albert, suddenly confused.
He had a look of shock and confusion on his face, as he observed that his daughter's right arm had shifted into a wall.
"R-Rita? Wh-Wh-How-"
"Oh boy...this is gonna take awhile to explain." said Rita, as she shifted her right arm back to normal and helped support her father upright.
Albert was still thoroughly shocked at what he just saw and couldn't find any words to speak.
"Lynn honey? Can you get Dad some water? He's looking a little faint." said Rita, to Lynn Sr. currently in the kitchen.
"Come on Dad, let's head to the kitchen." said Rita, as she led her shocked father into the kitchen.
A few minutes later...
*Albert finishes drinking a glass of water*
"How do you feel Albert?" asked Lynn Sr.
"A...A bit better thank you." said Albert, setting the glass down.
He then turned to look at his daughter who was sitting beside him.
"Rita...You-You're Ms. Shift." said Albert.
Rita nodded her head yes.
"So that means, you, Lynn, and the kids are..."
"Yes, it's true Al. We're Super Thunder." said Lynn Sr.
"How-When did this happen?!" asked Albert flustered.
"It's a long story Dad..." said Rita.
"Well, I've got time. I'm here all day remember?" said Albert.
"Uh...to put it simply, one of Lisa's experiments went wrong and filled the house with gas." said Lynn Sr.
"Then, over the following week, all of us started discovering that we had superpowers." said Rita.
"So then you just decided to go out there and fight crime?!" asked Albert.
"There was a lot more to it than that Dad." said Rita.
"Albert, I assure you that we became Super Thunder for a good reason. Royal Woods needs a team they can count on." said Lynn Sr.
"Oh sure, that sounds fine Lynn. I have no problem with that. But when that team includes my grandkids...you, Rita...I don't think this is a good idea honey." said Albert, taking his daughter's hand.
"Dad, please. You don't have to worry about us. I promise you that me, Lynn, and the kids know what we're doing." said Rita, trying to reassure her father.
"But Rita-"
"Dad, do you trust me?" asked Rita.
"It's not that I don't trust you Rita, it's just..." said Albert, trailing.
"What is it Dad?" asked Rita concerned.
Albert suddenly had a flashback to Daria, his wife, being shot in front of him.
"*shakes his head* It's nothing." said Albert.
"Wait Dad, what-"
"Al! Al! Nurse Sue just called. She wants us back at the retirement home now." said Myrtle, rushing into the kitchen.
"Wait what? But you guys requested away time until 6:00 pm today. It's only 4:00 pm." said Rita, checking her watch.
"She said something about an important senior citizen inspection and that everyone needs to be there!" said Myrtle.
"*sighs* If it's important then we better go. I don't want to be on Sue's bad side." said Albert.
"Oh Dad, the kids are gonna miss you." said Rita.
"I know...Come on Myrtle, let's go say goodbye to our grandkids." said Albert, as he got up from his chair and followed Myrtle out of the kitchen.
"How do you think he's taking the news honey?" asked Lynn Sr.
"*sighs* I don't know. Dad's emotions are hard to read sometimes...He was going to tell me something but then he stopped. I wonder what it was..." said Rita, pondering over the thought.
"I'm sure he'll tell you when he's ready Rita. He's probably still trying to process this whole thing." said Lynn Sr.
"Yeah...you're right. Thanks Lynn." said Rita.
"Anytime honey." said Lynn Sr.
The happy couple then embraced and shared a kiss.
Later that afternoon at the Sunset Canyon Retirement Home...
"I'll meet you inside Al." said Myrtle.
"Okay love." said Albert, as he watched Myrtle leave Vanzilla.
"Rita, we're not done talking about this. I don't think it's a good idea for you and the kids to be fighting crime all the time!" said Albert, still concerned.
"Dad, I already told you. You have nothing to worry about. We have things under control." said Rita.
"*sighs* Alright. I'm still not convinced, but I'll let it go for now. *kisses Rita on the cheek* Good night Rita." said Albert.
"Good night Dad." said Rita, as Albert exited Vanzilla.
Rita watched him enter the retirement home before driving away from the building.
*Albert is whistling as he enters his room*
"Oh. Albert! There you are! You're late for the inspection." said Sue, suddenly appearing in the doorway.
"Oh Sue! Uh, sorry about that. Just got caught up with my grandkids." said Albert, with a nervous chuckle.
"That's alright. Just have a seat. This inspection won't take long." said Sue, as she entered the room and closed the door behind her.
Albert then sat down in a chair as Sue stood behind him.
"Oh I'm sorry. Did I say inspection? I meant injection Sentinel." said Sue.
"Injection? Wait. Sentinel? How did you-"
Albert suddenly felt his whole body go limp as he slumped over and fell to the ground.
"*holding a syringe with a white liquid inside* Sweet dreams Sentinel. When you wake up, you'll be having a nightmare." said Sue sinisterly.
Albert tried to speak but he couldn't. He couldn't move either. He was helpless as he lied there on the floor and his eyes began to drift closed.
Meanwhile, Rita was on her way back from the retirement home, but something started troubling her.
"I don't know what it is, but something's not right." said Rita, to herself.
She then saw a U-turn lane coming up ahead.
"I've gotta go back to the retirement home." said Rita, as she turned Vanzilla around.
A few minutes later...
*Rita rushes inside the retirement home and heads straight to Albert's room*
"*knocks on the door* Dad? It's me, Rita." said Rita.
She waited for a second but received no answer.
She then discovered that the door was open. She peered her head in to discover that no one was inside.
"Dad?...Where is he?" said Rita, to herself.
She looked around the room and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but then as she was about to leave something outside caught the attention of her peripherals.
"Dad!" exclaimed Rita, now frantic.
Meanwhile, outside, a few yards away from the retirement home...
*Sue puts an incapacitated Albert into a helicopter and straps him in*
"*activates communicator* Baron, this is Sue. I'm bringing the Sentinel now." said Sue.
"Stop!"
Sue suddenly looked over her shoulder to see Ms. Shift running towards her with the speed of a cheetah.
"*smirks* Not today Shift." said Sue.
Sue then hopped in the helicopter and lifted into the air, just as Ms. Shift reached the spot.
"No! *shifts back to normal* Dad!" exclaimed Ms. Shift, as the helicopter flew away from the area.
"*activates communicator* Super Thunder! I need help! Dad's been kidnapped!" said Ms. Shift worriedly.
A few minutes later, Super Thunder and the police had arrived to assess the situation. The police had evacuated the building temporarily while they searched Albert's room for evidence. Meanwhile, Super Thunder had met Ms. Shift in the lounge in the front area of the building.
"*puts his arm around his wife* Are you alright honey?" asked Mr. Elastic.
"No Lynn! I'm not alright! My father has been kidnapped!" exclaimed Ms. Shift, hurt and confused.
"This doesn't make any sense. Who would want to take Pop-Pop away?" asked Powerhouse.
"That evil nurse! That's who!" said Ms. Shift.
"Sue?" said Wind Vane, in surprise.
"I always knew there was something shifty about that nurse." said Lightning.
"Still, that doesn't make any sense. Why would she just kidnap Pop Pop like that?" asked Madame L.
"I believe that she may not be alone in her endeavors. There may be another party involved here." said Super Sense.
Before anyone else could elaborate further, Chief Barnes suddenly entered the room holding the small brown box Albert had looked through earlier in his hands.
"Super Thunder. I understand that this a difficult time for you all, especially you Ms. Shift." said Chief Barnes.
"*sniffles* It's okay Chief. I'm just tired of people messing with my family." said Ms. Shift.
"I understand." said Chief Barnes, with a solemn nod.
"What's in the box Chief?" asked Light Show.
"Well, one of my men discovered this in Albert's nightstand. Upon inspection, we found that it contains some personal pictures, one of which caught our attention." said Chief Barnes.
He then set the box down on a table in the midst of the team and took the lid off the top of it. Then he pulled a photo out of the box and presented it to the team.
Most of Super Thunder sat there in awe while Madame L just gasped.
"As you can see there's Albert in this photograph next to a young woman here." said Chief Barnes.
"That's Aunt Ruth!" exclaimed Freeze, in shock.
"Yeah...Wait. Why are they wearing tuxes dudes?" asked The Amp.
"Well, I'm not certain, but my guess would be that they were involved in some type of reconnaissance work." said Chief Barnes.
"Chief, I believe you're onto something. Family, I think it would be wise to pay our dear aunt a visit." said Super Sense.
"I think so too." said Mr. Elastic.
"Um, Chief? Do you mind if I hold onto that box for awhile?" asked Ms. Shift.
"Oh of course Ms. Shift. My apologies. That's the other reason why I brought it in here. I feel like there's a bigger story than it seems here and I don't want this box getting misplaced somewhere along the way. Since you're Albert's daughter, I feel it's only right to give it to you." said Chief Barnes, as he gave the box to Ms. Shift.
"Thank you Chief. I truly appreciate this." said Ms. Shift.
"Alright everybody! We've got some investigating of our own to do. To the Thunderbolt!" said Mr. Elastic, as he ran out the room with the rest of Super Thunder following behind him.
Later that night at Aunt Ruth's lake house...
*Mr. Elastic knocks on the front door*
"Who's there? If it's another one of those subscription thingies I'm not buying it!" said Ruth, from behind the door.
She then opened the door a bit to peek at who was outside. When she saw who it was she let the front door swing wide open.
"S-Super Thunder! This is a surprise! How can I help you all?" asked Ruth.
"We have a surprise for you too Ruthie." said Ms. Shift.
Ruth suddenly furrowed her brow in confusion.
"It's me. Rita. With the kids and Lynn." said Ms. Shift.
"Oh Rita! Are you sure that's you? Maybe I forgot to take my medication..." said Ruth.
"Uh Ruthie? This is serious...Dad's been kidnapped." said Ms. Shift.
Upon hearing this, Ruth immediately adopted a look of concern on her face.
"*looks around quickly before back to Thunder* Alright come in. Quickly!" said Ruth, as she let Super Thunder into the house.
A few minutes later, everyone was in the living room discussing what could have possibly happened to Albert.
"So Al's been kidnapped huh?" said Ruth.
"Yes, and we thought you might be able to give us an idea of where he is." said Ms. Shift.
"How so?" asked Ruth.
"Well, the police discovered this box filled with some pictures Dad had kept over the years. This is one of them." said Ms. Shift, as she handed Ruth the photo of her and Albert together when they were younger.
"*smiles* Oh, I remember this photo. Oh Al was so different back then. *sighs* How things change..." said Ruth.
"Why were you guys wearing tuxes in the photo Auntie?" asked The Amp.
"Well, they were suits more than anything...Anyway, I better start from the beginning...Albert and I used to be agents under G.U.A.R.D." said Ruth.
"G.U.A.R.D.?" asked Lightning curious.
"The Great Unified Active Royal Defense." said Ruth.
"Whoa! So you two used to be spies?" asked Freeze.
"In a way yes. I fear that an enemy of one of Albert's past missions has come back for revenge." said Ruth.
"Who?" asked Powerhouse.
"The agency has never figured out his true identity but he goes by the name of Baron Hush." said Ruth.
"Hush huh? He must be real good at keeping QUIET! Hahahaha! Get it?" joked Light Show.
There wasn't even a typical groan because of the seriousness of the situation.
"*clears throat* Sorry." said Light Show.
"Anyway, Al had more encounters with Hush than any other agent in our division. And because of this, a rivalry seemed to spark between the two of them." said Ruth.
"But how do you know that Hush is behind Dad getting kidnapped?" asked Ms. Shift.
"The rivalry between them ended in tragedy for both of them." said Ruth.
"What do you mean?" asked Wind Vane.
Ruth just sighed as she looked towards Ms. Shift.
"Rita...has your father ever talked to you about your mother?" asked Ruth.
"Not much. I've gone through most of my life not knowing anything about her. Dad always said that she died shortly after giving birth to me." said Ms. Shift.
"Well, that's partly true, but there's more to that story." said Ruth.
"What is it?" asked Ms. Shift.
"*shakes her head* That's not my place honey. Your father should tell you. Trust me, you'll want to hear it from him." said Ruth.
Rita didn't like all the secrecy that she had been experiencing all day, but she didn't want to prolong the search for her father any longer.
"Alright. We need to find Dad. Sense? Do you have something?" asked Ms. Shift.
"Yes mother. Pop-Pop's located on an island off the northern coast of Michigan." said Super Sense, holding some sort of device in her hands.
"How do you know that Lise? And what is that?" asked The Amp.
"Uh...I may or may not have installed a tracking implant inside him a long time ago." said Super Sense, slowly putting the device away.
There was a brief moment of awkward silence.
"We're gonna pretend you didn't say that." said Lightning.
"Anyway, how are we getting to this island? Thunderbolt can't float!" said Flame.
"No, but it can fly." said Super Sense, adjusting her goggles.
The rest of Super Thunder looked confused besides Freeze.
In the next scene, Thunderbolt is seen flying in the air, with all four of its tires spinning horizontally like a hovercraft. It also has a new rocket engine in the back.
An island is seen off in the distance.
"(to herself) Don't worry Dad. We're gonna find you. And I'm gonna see to it that I take it to whoever kidnapped you." said Ms. Shift determined.
To be continued...
