Chapter 25 - Epilogue

The day Anna made an instagram page Kristoff posted a picture of them on the beach in Miami with the caption of 'Look who finally decided to join the party' and tagged her. She had ten thousand followers before she even posted her first picture. She got a verified blue check mark three days later. Between being a National Champion and the girlfriend of an All-Star Rookie it really shouldn't have been a surprise. It was weird to have strangers asking about her life, her skincare routine, where she bought the blouse she was wearing in her Story. And then the brands started messaging her about sponsorships and paid advertising. She ignored all of them...until Lululemon came knocking.

Life on the road was far better than the previous summer she spent in the AirBnb mostly alone. She got to travel the country, explore America's biggest cities and watch baseball. Having Kristoff in bed with her every night was hands down the best part. The Giants played an admiral season but the Milwaukee Brewers beat them in the NL Wild Card game to advance onto the postseason. It had been a heartbreaker but Kristoff had had a phenomenal Rookie season and Anna couldn't have been prouder.

The day they landed back in the city after the last game in Milwaukee, Kristoff drove them home and Anna almost didn't register the forest green Sprinter Van with a roof rack parked in their driveway.

"Who's here?" Anna asked, confused. Kristoff just took a pair of keys out of his pocket and the lights on the van flashed. "No." Anna whispered and turned to him, "No!" But her face was split into a very approving grin. "It's not exactly a boat, but I hope it'll do." The inside of the van had been b-e-a-utiful. Everything she had ever dreamed of. Those youtubers didn't have shit on her. Kristoff had everything customized to fit them and their style perfectly and Anna actually cried she loved it so much. Their luggage was forgotten for the next few hours as Kristoff showed her every inch of the van.

That started their first off season in 'Vandalf the Green'. They spent two weeks in Yosemite and Anna didn't want to leave even then. Van life had a learning curve but they took it in stride. VICE Sports even reached out to Kristoff to do an expose on the millionaire pro-athlete living in a van — it made for a great headline. From there they drove through Nevada and onto Utah to stay with Rapunzel and Flynn for a few days. Married life was treating them well and it was always good to catch up with old friends. The newlyweds even made a compelling argument regarding the investment opportunity with Utah real estate.

From Utah the couple spent a few days in the Grand Tetons (she had never seen a sunset like that one) and then headed up to Yellowstone. Kristoff had surprised her with staying in the same cabin they had two Christmases ago.

On the second day they were there Kristoff suggested they go see Old Faithful. "The schedule says it's supposed to erupt right at sunset." The autumn colors were breathtaking and it was amazing to see the park without the covering of snow. Anna and Kristoff walked along the nearly empty boardwalk. A few other people and one park ranger were milling about waiting for the eruption. Kristoff checked the time on his phone and then pulled Anna to a stop.

"Hey." Kristoff held her hands in his and chewed on the side of his lip.

"Hey." Anna smiled up at him. Kristoff took a deep breath and Anna's eyebrows quirked at his behavior.

"My life changed when you came to Arendelle. It continued to change the more time I spent with you and you quickly became the most important thing in my life. You're amazing and extraordinary and the girl of my dreams. I want to have babies with you and grow old with you but before we can do any of that I have to ask you something." Anna watched as Kristoff moved one of his hands from her and reached into his jacket pocket. Her eyes grew wide when he lowered himself down onto one knee in front of her. "I love you with all that I am. Will you marry me?"

Anna gasped, her blue eyes jumping from Kristoff's serious face, to his kneeling body to the opened ring box in his hand. Tears welled up in her eyes before she could even control them. She was laughing and crying and screaming "Yes!" and then Kristoff was catching her as she jumped into his arms. And right at the crescendo of their engagement, water burst upward Old Faithful skyrocketed into the air. It was utterly perfect.

"Hey everybody, I hope you're enjoying the night. My name is Flynn Rider and I have the honor of being the best man tonight. I've got a lot of great stories about Kristoff but I want to start off this speech with the first time Kristoff saw Anna play softball. Naveen can corroborate this right? You heard him too." Naveen nodded and raised his champagne flute for all the guests to see. "Kristoff said, and I quote, 'I'm going to marry that girl.'"

AN: and that's all she wrote folks! Finishing a story is always a big accomplishment for me so I really hope you enjoyed it!
