There were three foes wearing the common winter wear, completely covered and no sign of gender but most likely male because of the bulky frame.
Elsa was wearing some normal clothes, a lightweight light blue blouse along with blue jeans and white ninja sandals. She had a golden bracelet with sapphire and a necklace with an emerald, both these items boosting her powers in some way.
It was the same way that Ino's bracelet and earrings helped her focus better and control her chakra plus strengthen her mind attacks along with increase her mental defenses.
The battle between the two sides was equal but Elsa was slowly losing, they were agile enough to dodge at the last moment and good with team work.
Her choice could mean the survival for Elsa but it could also put her in danger.
'Dad won't mind if I use it here.' Ino thought as she held her left arm with the bracelet and muttered the code word
It was one of the rare items on her person for protection in the case of dangerous situations. The crystal contained the psychic power of her father and it combined with hers for a few minutes so she could handle the situation or escape.
'Let's do this.' Ino knew her limitations and her strengths so she decided to attack from far instead of engaging in close combat
Locking on to her foes, she tried mind transfer but it didn't work.
'What!' Ino was shocked as her power had been boosted enough to break through a mental shield of someone this level
'Is this person immune to mind affects?' Ino thought as she hadn't sensed anything
'Damn it, they are puppets.' Ino realized because the other thought seemed too outlandish
Puppets made a lot of the powers of the Yamanaka useless since they didn't have a mind.
'Bloody fuck' Ino cursed as she could now only utilize telekinesis and rely on her weapons
Not losing hope over the problems presented, Ino focused on the foes and at the right moment hit one of the foes with a telekinetic blast.
The enemy was about to dodge Elsa's attack and the blast hit the leg causing it to break since they couldn't put any interest on Ino at the moment.
The leg breaking gave Elsa the chance to impale the man with ice and the second telekinetic blast gave her the chance to finish them off with a crescent wave that pushed them back as they defended but Ino's whip grew and split.
Hitting the enemy on the head and causing them to explode. It was a high class weapon fit for a clan heir so no normal level ninja could take a hit from it, even Naruto would have his limbs break if hit by this thing as it hit the enemy with concentrated telekinetic force at the point of impact.
This weapon wasn't even dependent on Ino's level since it was brought up by being showered in the power of the high rank members of the clan especially her father so this weapon was something on the level of Inoichi's moon disk.
Even though she had such a powerful weapon most people would still destroy her in battle since she still had to hit them.
This was an opportunistic moment so she got them by surprise as they didn't know about it, nobody outside her parents knew about the kinds of safety precautions she had on hand.
"Thank you for your assistance." Elsa looked towards Ino with her kind gaze
"No problem but who were these guys." Ino asked as she looked at the downed foes and walked towards them to find any clues but before that she used her telekinesis to check for any explosives or whatnot
"Apologies, they are just golems made from my power. I was interested in you, Ino, and wanted to see how you would handle such a situation." Elsa muttered in an apologetic tone
Ino stopped and turned the teen that was five years older with an annoyed gaze. She had never thought that this could happen.
It was never even a possibility but here she was being played like a fiddle.
Ino might be different from most people but she still operated under the system properly so she didn't think anyone would test that shit on her, she was the heir of the Yamanaka clan not some random person.
Naruto would have seen through this ruse from the beginning since he liked playing around with people and would notice the clue instead of dismissing them because of personal logic.
Even though she looked kind, Ino could see now that she was one of her kind, the manipulative kind of people.
"Do you want me to congratulate you on a successful operation or are you waiting for the fanfare to arrive?" Ino muttered in a cold tone, she didn't take lightly to anyone messing with her
She had wasted an artifact because of this bitch.
Elsa could see that she had made a blunder today. She was used to people being okay with her methods since it helped them keep on their toes and made them feel special.
Living the royal life and the life of a Shinobi, she was good at reading people's emotions form their tones and expression so she knew very well what Ino was feeling since she didn't try to hide it.
This wasn't some prank or anything, Elsa genuinely just wanted to know about Ino's ability and her willingness to help a comrade since a lot of ninja would basically bolt unless it was their duty.
It had shown her that Ino could be trusted and was someone willing to put their life on the line for their comrade or for the honor of the clan.
'Well not life but rare and expensive artifacts on the line were still a sacrifice.' Elsa thought as she wasn't clear about that part because Ino ended up using an item to help or out that reduced the danger to zero
"Please don't misunderstand, I just wished to know about your capability and true personality. That is the truth of this situation and I am willing to make compensation for your loss. I had not expected you to use such items and would not have gone far with this play but even then I find myself liking you and would love to know you."
There was sincerity in her voice and she wasn't shielding her mind so Ino could tell she wasn't lying. It was special situation so Ino didn't really have choice but to give her a chance.
Elsa was the sister of the Queen and both sides need to keep a cordial relationship. Ino didn't want to become a reason for a divide between them since the Yuki clan was close to the Yamanaka.
"I am not an easy girl so this is going to expensive."
"I don't mind losing my wealth if we can be friends."
Ino raised an eye to that comment and many conclusions were beginning to form from that one statement.
'Well let's enjoy the royal treatment, maybe it could be enjoyable. I am definitely bringing the gang here during the winter festival.' Ino thought as she had missed the summer festival in Land of Fire
"Okay, what do you have planned?"
Elsa smiled at those words as her worries lessened. She was not very good with people because they all treated her as someone above them.
There were only rare few that treated her equally but they were older and busy. She didn't even have people to call friends near to her age.
So one of her reasons was to find people in similar positions to make friends with and since the Yamanaka clan was an ally, Elsa chose Ino as her third friend after Koyuki and Tatsumi.
