Chapter 27- Recap
Note: this chapter will be told in both Arcee's POV and Twinwaves POV, sorry if its confusing.
"Why'd you go looking for us anyway?" Bee asked as Arcee was eating her energon cubes. The vehicon had brought some more in for us shortly after Acree had arrived.
"Becuase I figured out pretty quickly who you'd two idiots gotten yourselves captured by and seeing her suffer a little would be nice, but also because you're my friends and the rescue team would've been way too slow" she said, it made sense the rescue team did take forever to rescue anyone and who knows what state we would've been in when they got here.
"I see your point" I said "But I don't t understand why you hate Rainjet so much, well other than the fact that shes with Megatron but still she was a good person before the war broke out" I finished, Rainjet and Arcee had always seemed to hate eachother when Bee and Cee came over Rainjet and Arcee would never have their optics off one another for long.
"I told you a hundred times, I get a bad vibe off of her and I was right becuase look where we are now becuase of her" Arcee said, she did have a point though. "I know, but that's because we're in the middle if a war and shes on the opposing side to us. My question is how in the allsprak did you get yourself captured anyways?" I asked she hadn't told us yet and Bee and I were wondering about it.
"Sure I'll tell you guys" she said.
POV: Arcee
(This is a flashback hoomans)
"What do you mean they're missing?!" I said, Optimus prime had just gotten word for the other two scout teams that Twinwave and Bumblebee had gone off grid, neither of their communicators or homing beacons were online. They were basically unfindable.
"They're last known position was the eastern part of the fortress, in the computer room. Shortly after after Bumblebee confirmed their arrival, both communicators and homeing beacons are inaccessible to us" Optimus said, "The search and rescue team is being dispatched soon to invade the fortress and find traces of where they went".
"What if they can't find anything related to their disappearance?" Tailgate asked, "They will be reported MIA ( missing in action ) and some further resources will be needed to locate them." so he was just going to leave them for dead with cons? I get you cant save everyone but Twinwave and Bumblebee were the best scouts here, we needed to find them.
"What if Tailgate and I did a recon mission to the area instead?" I asked Optimus "We would be better and getting in and out quickly, and if we found something we could go looking for them instead of waiting around".
Optimus didnt look pleased with my idea "It is far too risky to send two more of our best in incase the same fate befalls you aswell" he said, geez sometimes Primes needed to show emotions because I couldn't tell if Optimus was annoyed, angry or happy right now. "So we're just going to leave them in the dark like that?" I asked. "No the rescue team is going to do their mission and give us further intel, then we will dispatch a recon team" he said.
"They could be off world by then!" I argued, it was true they could already be on a ship ready to travel out of orbit. "Arcee, I understand your concern for your friends but the resue team is the best thing to use to find them" Optimus said, he sounded a little compassionate and understanding but it was hard to tell.
"Fine do what you want" I said brushing him off "But I don't want to hear it when you need someone to go on recon to get them" I said leaving. I was not staying to hear more of Optimus' pitty words, if he wasn't going to do anything useful to find Bee and Wave then I was.
"Where did I put my spare energon?" I muttered rummaging around in my belongings, the only thing that we really had at the base was a cot and a drawer the rest was in storage somewhere for when the civil war ended.
"Here it is!" I thought grabbing the little satchel of spare energon cubes I collected incase if emergency, I hung them onto my belt and climbed out the window in my sleeping quarters.
I radioed my partner "Hey Tailgate, dont come looking I'm already gone looking for them" I said before he could answer I hung up the call and ran towards the mining fortress.
There was a lot of running involved to get to the mine, but I eventually made it there. I checked my surroundings, making sure there were not vehicon guards nearby before entering on the east side if the fortress. The same way the Twinwave and Bumblebee had enetered just a couple hours before me.
When I got to the wall, I noticed the impalememts that Twinwaves swords had most likely left when they had climbed the wall themselves. Following suit, I used the tearings as hand holds to pull myself up and over the wall.
"How in the well of allsparks did they do this?" I thought, it was taking a lot of my effort just to pull myself to the top "Primus" I muttered looking at what I'd just scaled once I was at the top. I jumped off of it and landed on the ground, making sure to listen for vehicon incase I caused a disturbance.
"Well no ones coming so I guess it's time to move" I thought equipping my blaster and turning on my stealth mode ( they dont actually have one, shes just using a metaphor ).
"Werid theres no guards here" I thought, I'd made it through one of the doors and down a couple of hallways without seeing any guards "Maybe they're all drilling?" I thought becuase there was still no one around when I made it to the computer room.
There was a drive and a couple dented items scattered about the room, a broken chair which could've been used to knock someone unconscious, the computer had a slight dent near its keypad and another chair was on its side on the floor "Those are signs of a struggle, vehicons are too dumb to pull of something like this. It was probably Rainjet and her boyfriend Soundwave" I muttered, even though Twinwave and Rainjet were sparkmates Rainjet seemed to always have Soundwave with her.
"Let see what was last accessed" I said quietly, not muttering this time. "A bunch of nothing, and just a couple of really old files. Someone did a wipe on this thing and probably used it as a distraction" I thought "Someone clearly dodnt want whatever was on here getting into our hands".
I rummaging through the files a couple more times, but there was still nothing worth taking back and no signs of where those two idiots could've gone! I took a step back from the monitor, there was something I was missing, something that was gonna be the key to finding them.
"Ugh where did those fraggers take you?" I yelled quietly, I was getting frustrated becuase I couldn't find anything on where they went.
"Why don't we show you?" A voice rang out behind me "What in the kaon pits are you-. What in a kaon pit?" I could've sworn I hear Rainjet's voice. I walked to the computer room doorway, no one, not a spark was walking either way down the hallway. "Okay this is getting werid even for the cons" I said before turning around.
"Primus" Soundwave jump scarred me, he must've been behind me and then move when I turned around. He was just kind of standing near the wall, looking very eerie. I equipped my blaster becuase where ever Soundwave was trouble soon followed "What are you doing here mute" I spat glaring at him, of course there was no response verbally but what I did get in response was "Well this has been a really lovely reunion but I think Soundwave and I would rather see you in a cell" Rainjets voice said. So he was using recordings to spook me, great.
One of his metal tentacles slithered towards me, I shuttered before shooting at him which only made him send the rest of them after me. I shot tentacle after tentacle trying to keep them at bay for awhile.
Soundwave finally got one of them around my leg after 5 minutes of shooting and pulled me to the floor, he used to others to tie me and restrict my blaster before walking out of the computer room dragging me with him.
We walked down the hallways all the while I was screaming "LET ME GO YOU STUPID FRAGGER!" which wasn't working in my favor. We were outside the metal walls of the fortress before Soundwave called someone.
"What do you need this time Soundwave?" I femmes voice asked over his communicator, he showed her my tied body "Fine fine, I'll bring my ship back over so you can throw another one of those Autobots into it" she said and Soundwave hung up.
"So that's where Twinwave and Bumblebee were being held, finally I'm getting somewhere!" I thought, though I didnt see her face I knew that she was going to be bad news.
After a while a ship came into view and landed onto the ground, a vehicon stood guard when its hatch opened to let me and Soundwave inside. "Nice to see you've brought me another little friend " the femme from the communicator said, finally I could get a better look at her face.
"Arachnid, great this is the slimy wall crawler I'm stuck with" I thought. "Well I must leave you, these imbecils cant be left alone for very long without destroying anything" she said gesturing to the vehicons aboard her ship, she crawled back into her hole as Soundwave dragged me to the cell.
"LET ME GO YOU FRAGGING GLITCH!" I screamed as he dragged me down the hallway towards the cell. "JUST WAIT TILL I GET OUT OF HERE!" I screamed at him after he threw me inside and closed the door, locking me inside with whatever crazy was also in here. "Uh nice to see you too Arcee" a voice said from behind me, it kind of sounded like Twinwave.
Present time
POV: Twinwave
"And that's how I got myself locked in here" Arcee finished, "That was sure a lot to take in" Bumblebee said. "Well it was a lot of effort on my part to find you idiots" she said smiling.
"Well now that were all caught up anybody got any better ideas on how to get the frag out of here?" I asked.
