They took you away on the table. I pace back and forth as you lay still. I pull you in to feel your heartbeat..can you hear me screaming 'please don't leave me'? Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you. -Chord Overstreet
-The Same Night-
Bakugo was currently sprawled out across his couch with another book in his hands. He'd gone through at least three since his break-up with Uraraka a few weeks ago.
He briefly let the memory of their encounter in the break room today cross his mind. He groaned and ran a hand through his hair in frustration. Why couldn't he get his shit together and stop letting his anger control his actions so much? Sure, what she did was shitty but he didn't have to be so brisk with her.
But it still hurt so much.
He leaned back into his throw pillow and sighed. Then, an unexpected knock rapped on his door. His stomach dropped. He hoped it wasn't Uraraka. He stood up and went to open the door, his expression grim.
Kirishima stood on the landing outside his apartment, a shopping bag from the video game store down the road hanging at his side. "This a bad time?" he asked, noting Bakugo's expression.
Bakugo scowled. "If you came to lecture me I'm really not in the fucking mood, Kirishima."
"Not here to lecture," he said, reaching into the bag and holding up the video game he'd just bought. "I just thought maybe you could use some company."
Bakugo narrowed his eyes but slowly opened the door all the way. "Is that game what I think it is?"
"If you think it's the newest Heroes Unite, then yeah." Kirishima said, stepping through the open door. "Doesn't technically come out til next week, but I've got my sources."
Heroes Unite was a melee style game that let you play as any number of pro heroes. Every two years, a new one was released featuring the top 20 pro heroes at the time. Quite a few familiar faces graced the cover of this latest edition.
Bakugo looked at the case a moment, and his lips spread slowly into a sinister smile. "Start it up. I'm gonna roast that damn nerd." Bakugo said pleasantly, but with a face that could only be seen as eerie. Bakugo only smiled like that if he was going to bring the pain down on a villain or if he was on drugs.
He closed the door and moved to grab his book and place it on the end table to make room on the couch.
Kirishima, ignoring Bakugo's freakish expression, made himself right at home, powering on the TV and game console and inserting the disc. He grabbed both controllers from their perch on the tv stand and tossed one to Bakugo before flopping down on the couch with his own controller just as the welcome screen appeared.
Bakugo caught it swiftly with one hand and joined his friend on the couch. After pressing X a few times they were finally presented with character options. Bakugo didn't have to think twice. He chose himself. He smirked, waiting for Kirishima to make his pick. He hoped it was Deku. His eyes glanced at the Uravity option but he immediately looked at something else.
He waited, and waited. Kirishima was going through each character and reading their stats, and seemed to be taking his sweet time doing so. Bakugo grew more irritated and impatient by the second.
"Rrrgh...DAMMIT KIRISHIMA JUST PICK ONE ALREADY!" He growled.
"Patience is a virtue," Kirishima responded, eyes still on the screen as he reviewed Todoroki's stats then hit the select button.
Bakugo continued growling after he realized the choice he made. After a while, it was clear that he was losing and it only made him angrier. "Stupid Icy Hot Bastard...beating me twice in one fucking day!" He grumbled as Kirishima dealt the final blow.
"What was that?" Kirishima asked, eyebrows raised.
"Fucking nothing. Let's go again!" Bakugo roared.
Kirishima laughed. "All right, but I'm gonna be Ingenium this time," he said, returning to the character selection screen and making the swap.
They'd just started the next match when Kirishima's phone began to ring. He ignored it the first time, too caught up in the game but when it began to ring a second time, he glanced at the screen and saw Mina's name scrolling across it. He hit the button to answer it and wedged the phone between his ear and shoulder to hold it while he continued to play. "Hey babe, what's up?" A crease formed between his brows as he listened to what she was saying. "Wait, wait, wait...slow down, it's okay…"
Bakugo froze. Something was wrong. What had happened?
He paused the game and brought his hand up to hold the phone properly. "Mina, I need you to calm down and say all of that again…She's what?! Fuck! Is she going to be okay?" All of the color seemed to drain from his face as he listened to what she said next. "Yeah, I'm with him right now. You stay there and we'll be there soon." He hung up the phone and turned to look at Bakugo.
Bakugo had a feeling he knew what Kirishima was about to say. And he wasn't ready. This wasn't happening, was it?
"Uraraka's in the ICU," Kirishima said slowly, bracing himself for Bakugo's reaction. "That bastard that's had it out for you guys showed up while she was on patrol."
The controller fell from Bakugo's hands and they began to shake. "W-What..? I...CU?" Shock seemed to echo in every inch of his body and he could hardly form words. It didn't stop his eyes from glistening.
He tried to stand up. He'd kill that damn Sato. He'd kill him and make sure he paid for what he had done.
But his legs seemed to buckle beneath him and he crumpled to his knees on the floor. "DAMMIT!" He shrieked. His body wouldn't stop shaking.
Apparently it was happening. No! He thought angrily. The last thing...I fucking said to her…!
His breath came out in gasps as his panic attack took hold of his body and mind. His vision blurred and it felt as though his ears were full of water.
Round-face...I'm so...I'm so fucking sorry!
Kirishima eased himself down into the floor beside his best friend and rested his hand on Bakugo's shoulder. He couldn't even begin to fathom what the other man was feeling right now. "We don't know anything yet," he said softly, "Mina said the doctors were in there with her now. The hospital is only a few blocks from here. When you're feeling up to it, I'll drive you over there if you want to go."
It took him what felt like forever to steady his breathing. He would shut his eyes for a minute, then slowly open them to try to fix his vision. He was no good to anyone like this. Even if his entire world just came tumbling down, he needed to stand. He needed to go to her.
After a few minutes of this, he finally was able to form a coherent thought. "Let's go. Now." He shrugged his friend's hand off of his shoulder, but not aggressively, and slowly came to stand on his own. He made sure his phone was in his pocket as well as his keys, and both were. Hang in there, Ochako. I'm coming.
The drive to the hospital was silent save for the muffled sounds of traffic surrounding them.
A directory just inside the hospital entrance showed that the Intensive Care Unit was on the 5th floor, so they boarded the elevator. When they reached their destination, they found the waiting area full of familiar faces.
Kirishima had scarcely stepped out of the elevator before Mina had launched herself at him, her arms wrapping around his neck and her tears soaking the front of his shirt as his own arms enveloped her. His chin rested on top of her head as he noted the room's other occupants, all with equally grim expressions.
"Any updates?" he asked Iida, who was nearest.
'You just missed the doctor. She lost quite a bit of blood, so they've been giving her transfusions. Todoroki, Midoriya, and Tsuyu were all able to donate, but she's still got internal organ damage and quite a few broken bones. They're doing what they can for her, but it doesn't look good," Iida said solemnly. "They're only allowing two people in to see her at a time and her parents are with her now."
Kirishima took all this in as color slowly drained from his face. It was even worse than he'd thought. He turned to look at Bakugo to see how he was handling the news.
Bakugo's red eyes found Deku's face, then moved down to his elbow where the gauze was patched to stop the bleeding. Of course he could give her blood. Bakugo was pretty sure that his blood type wasn't compatible with hers. Just another way he had failed her.
He remained perfectly still for a moment, saying nothing.
The door behind them opened, and Kareino, the sidekick who had been paired up with Uraraka at the time of her assault, entered the room. His arm had a few bandages wrapped around it, but the guilty look on his face seemed to be the worst thing about him.
"Kareino, how are you doing?" Asked Momo, who stood beside Todoroki.
Kareino looked down at the floor. "I'm fine. How is she?"
Bakugo clenched his jaw, whirled around to grab Kareino by the neck, and slammed him against the wall of the room. Pure rage danced in his eyes, while fear gazed back at him.
"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU EVER GOING TO BE A PRO THAT CAN MAKE IT ON HIS OWN IF YOU CAN'T EVEN PROTECT THE PERSON STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, YOU USELESS EXCUSE FOR A GOD DAMN HERO?!" Bakugo yelled, sparks shooting out of his free hand like grease off a frying pan.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! She pushed me away and used her quirk and I couldn't help her! She wouldn't let me!" Kareino choked out.
"You do it anyway! You fight back! You give her backup and you tell her to go fuck herself because you're not going anywhere until she's safe! If she dies it's all on YOU!"
Deku and Todoroki, as well as Kirishima, had Bakugo surrounded in an instant. Deku reached out to put his arm on Bakugo's shoulder. "Kacchan, you have to calm down. It's not his fault and you know it."
Bakugo smiled and turned his head, not letting go of Kareino, and the smile didn't reach his eyes at all. He reminded Deku of a wild animal in this moment.
"You're gonna need to use 100% of that damn power of yours if you wanna fucking stop me, Deku." he growled.
Kirishima pushed himself in between the three, putting a hand against Bakugo's chest to keep him back. "You need to calm down, man. We're all upset, but it's no one's fault but that villain and if you make a scene, you're going to get kicked out before you even get to see her. Is that what you want?" To illustrate his point, he nodded toward the nurse's station where one stood, her hand already resting on the phone in case she needed to call security.
Bakugo closed his eyes for a second to help himself realign. He relaxed his grip on Kareino and stepped back, turning away from all of them and pushing against Todoroki's shoulder to step out of the circle they'd formed around him. He moved to stand against the far wall, and with his arms crossed, leaned back and stared at the floor in silence.
Todoroki watched Bakugo retreat to the other side of the room, then rested a hand on Kareino's shoulder. "Don't beat yourself up over this. We know you did everything you could."
Kareino nodded, eyes cast downward and then dropped into a nearby chair, waiting with the rest of them for any updates about her condition.
The waiting room was silent for a time save for Mina's sniffles and the occasional sound of someone shifting positions in their chair to be more comfortable.
The silence made the ding of the elevator door as it opened even more jarring and their heads all swiveled toward it as a commanding voice demanded, "Well, where is she?"
"Recovery Girl!" Tsuyu gasped as the woman emerged from the elevator shortly followed by Aizawa and a small teenage girl most of them immediately recognized as Eri, all of them having evidently traveled there together from UA.
"We saw what happened on the news," the petite girl explained. "We wanted to see if we could help."
Bakugo looked up from the floor to see who else had arrived. When he realized who they were, a glimmer of hope rushed into his chest. He didn't move, though. Just watched.
"Which room?" Aizawa prompted when all of his former students just continued to stare at the new arrivals in surprise.
Todoroki and Iida were the first to regain their senses, both pointing toward a door halfway down the hall.
Aizawa gave a curt nod and the three set off toward Uraraka's hospital room. One doctor tried to tell them only two visitors were allowed in at a time but one glare from Aizawa was enough to convince him it was in his best interest not to say another word about it.
The mood in the waiting room shifted as the door closed behind them. Surely if anyone could save her, it would be Recovery Girl and Eri. The latter had begun practicing her quirk by aiding Recovery Girl in the infirmary for the past two years and using Rewind to reverse injuries. Always under the close supervision of Aizawa, of course, in case he needed to use his quirk to cancel her own before she went too far.
The next ten minutes felt like hours, but finally the door swung open and the muffled voices of Recovery Girl and Uraraka's parents drifted out shortly before the older woman came out followed by a visibly exhausted Eri and then Aizawa who paused to close the door of the room behind them.
"We've done what we can for her," Recovery Girl said as they entered the waiting area. "She won't be fighting more villains anytime soon, but she's in stable condition now."
Bakugo let out a breath he never realized he had been holding. What a relief. He kept silent, though. Not everyone here knew about their relationship, and since they were broken up at the moment, didn't want to imply anything.
"Thank you so much, Recovery Girl." Said Deku, clasping her old hands in his large ones. She used to be about half of his height, but these days she barely grazed his hips. He turned and smiled brightly at Eri. "I'm so glad to see what you've done with your quirk. You're amazing!"
Eri blushed and smiled at the compliment. "Thanks, Deku. I just couldn't stand by knowing one of the heroes who helped save me back when I was in trouble was hurt. I'm happy that I could return her kindness."
The three left shortly after and the waiting room was filled with silence once more. It felt like an eternity when suddenly the doors to the ICU opened, revealing Uraraka's parents. They both looked exhausted and as if they were in shock and nobody could blame them for it. Her mother looked around at everyone and offered a frail smile. She looked so much like her daughter that Bakugo had to fight back the urge to cry.
"Thank you all so much for being here for Ochako. It's so comforting to know she's surrounded by so many friends at work every day." She said. Her husband nodded.
"Yes, thank you all. She's stable for now thanks to the young lady and Recovery Girl. We're forever in their debt for this. We were just going to go grab coffee and rest a bit. If anyone wants to see her, you're welcome to it." The man said. He was tall with dirty blonde hair and a kind face. A shadow of a beard decorated his jawline.
With that, her parents were gone.
"You can come back two at a time," said a nurse standing at the entrance to the ICU. "You'll need to leave your phones and other electronic devices out here, though."
There was a shuffle around the room as they all pulled their phones from their pockets and set them aside.
Tsuyu and Iida went in first, and after a short while returned with grim expressions on their faces. Next was Mina and Kirishima, who gave Bakugo an apologetic look before disappearing behind the doors. When they returned, Mina was crying softly and Kirishima had his arm around her for comfort.
Todoroki and Momo went next and returned in much the same fashion.
After a few minutes of quiet, Deku approached Bakugo with a determined look on his face. "Are you coming or not?"
Bakugo sneered at him, his arms crossed. "With you? Like hell."
"I think you'd better go with him, man." Said Kirishima. "Just go see her. What does it really matter?"
Bakugo sighed and clenched his fists. "Fine."
He and Deku entered the ICU, and he tried to avoid looking around. This was a place where people were brought so they could either be saved or die. Thank the gods or whatever greater power existed out there that Uraraka wasn't dead.
They were let into her room, and Bakugo's heart broke into a million pieces upon the sight of her.
It was hard to imagine that she could look worse, but if this was how she looked after being treated by two healing quirks, it was a miracle she'd survived at all.
There were numerous tubes connected to her and a mask over her nose and mouth to help with getting her enough oxygen. The machine in the corner beeped steadily, monitoring her pulse and assuring them that she was in fact still alive.
Her face was bruised and there were thin lacerations visible on her arms. They looked several days old but that was from Recovery Girl's quirk and were probably much deeper previously. It was no wonder she had lost so much blood. The rest of her was covered by a thick blanket.
Deku walked slowly around one side of her bed, coming to stand near her head. It hurt to see her like this, but he knew she was a fighter and if anyone would make it out on the other side after this, it was her. His eyes lingered on her face. "You're the one she's in love with, you know," he said quietly, finally looking over at Bakugo.
Bakugo clenched his fists and glared daggers at him. "Psh. What the hell would you know about it, Deku?!" he spat out. Even though he was angry, tears brimmed the edges of his eyes. It killed him to see her like this. To think of the amount of pain she had endured was enough to make him want to scream.
How could he have let this happen? It was all his fault!
"She told me what happened," Deku said calmly, completely unfazed by the other man's glare. "She told me about your relationship and about the conversation you overheard between us and about the fight you two had after that. And then she told me she was in love with you." He looked back down at her still form on the hospital bed and sighed. "Just thought you should know in case…" he trailed off, unable to finish the thought. She wouldn't die from this. She couldn't.
Bakugo gripped the edge of his shirt in his hands. "Why...couldn't she just tell me that then…?" His voice was shaky. He didn't want to break down in front of Deku, but with Uraraka in this condition before him along with this revelation from the last person he wanted to hear it from, that was getting harder by the second.
Deku took one last look at her then started toward the door, briefly pausing to put a hand on Bakugo's shoulder as he passed. "I'll be in the hall whenever you're ready to go back and join the others."
Bakugo didn't say anything as he felt Deku's hand fall from his shoulder and listened to him leave the room. Finally, he blinked and allowed his tears to come. He reached over and placed his hand over one of Uraraka's. He gently squeezed it as he began to sob.
"This is all my fault...I did this to you...you didn't...you didn't fucking deserve this!" He whimpered, his body shaking with the strength of his sobs. Once the worst was over, he lifted his head and looked at her face. A new resolve seemed to glitter in his eyes. "Don't you die on me. You can't. I won't allow it. If you need a new kidney, they can take mine. If you need a lung, take mine." He took a deep breath and wiped his eyes and nose. He needed to look as normal as possible before going back out there. He sighed and his eyes roamed over her once more. "You already have my heart, but you can take that, too, if you need it, Angel-face."
He lifted his fingers to carefully caress her cheek before turning away and exiting her room. He made his way back to the waiting area. People looked up at him, and he was sure they could tell he had been crying. But he didn't give a fuck anymore. Let them think what they like. The woman he loved was lying motionless in a hospital bed. Fuck if a man couldn't cry about it.
He reached out and grabbed his phone off the table, putting it back in his pocket. He walked over to Kirishima, who had a look of concern on his face. "I'm uh...going to the bathroom. I'll be back."
Kirishima looked at his friend. He could tell he was really upset and that he'd been crying. It was likely that Bakugo just needed a moment to compose himself away from Uraraka's comatose body and the prying eyes of his friends. "Sure, man. Take your time."
Bakugo nodded and walked past him and out of the waiting room. His eyes were blazing with sheer rage and determination.
Trust me, I fucking intend to. If it's the last thing I ever do, I'll make him pay. He wants me? He can come and fucking get me.
Ten minutes passed and Kirishima started to wonder if he should go check on Bakugo, but he decided to give him more time. Twenty minutes in, he was starting to get more concerned by the minute, but he waited until thirty minutes had passed before he, too, excused himself from the waiting room and headed around the corner to the men's restroom. The moment he saw the stairwell just beyond the bathroom door, he knew he'd made a terrible mistake.
When he returned to the waiting room, his face was ashen. "Bakugo's gone," he announced to the rest of the group.
Momo sighed and put the palm of one hand on the opposite arm and a glow began to emit from it as she activated her quirk. "Yes, I thought he might pull something like this," she said as the item took form in her hand. "So I may have...uh...taken the liberty of planting a tracking device inside his phone while he was in the ICU."
She flipped a switch on the device now in her hand and it turned on, a red dot appearing at the edge of the screen, showing Bakugo's location.
"Wow, good call Momo." Deku said, genuinely impressed. "This is exactly like Kacchan. He's either going to get himself killed or he just may kill that villain."
"Then let's go." Said Iida. "We won't let him make the same mistake I made all those years ago."
Todoroki nodded. "Right."
"Excuse me, guys?" Kareino said, looking around at all of them. "Before you go, there's something you should know. I already informed the police when the EMS came. But it's about Sato's quirk."
Bakugo made it on foot to the agency and let himself in. He always had access to the locker room because that was where they all had to stash their hero gear. If he was gonna annihilate this bastard, he needed to make sure he was fully equipped. He made the change into his hero costume and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He pressed a button to make a phone call.
Once he was done, he shoved the device back into his pants and stormed out the door and made his way toward the center of town. It was the middle of the night and not many civilians were out and about. That suited him fine since they'd just be in his way.
A rumble of thunder crashed through the night sky, with small flashes of lightning flickering sporadically shortly after. The rain began to fall in a steady rhythm, soaking Bakugo within minutes. But he didn't care. He could still sweat in the rain, and that's all he needed.
"SATO!" He shouted out. A crack of thunder followed after his voice. "I AM GROUND ZERO AND I AM HERE TO KICK YOUR ASS!"
"Fuck, I shouldn't have let him out of my sight," Kirishima grumbled from the backseat as their car sped down 2nd St.
"He'd have found the opportunity one way or another if he'd had to blast his way past all of us," Todoroki responded from the passenger seat while he fastened on his wrist guards. He and Iida had been fortunate in that they had been on patrol when they'd heard about the attack and had gone straight to the hospital still in their hero suits.
Deku and Kirishima had not been quite as fortunate and both men shifted around in the cramped backseat, fastening on some of the equipment Momo had created for them on their way down to the parking garage after they'd discovered Bakugo was missing.
The woman in question was currently driving the car as it made the turn onto Main Street and the tracking device which she had mounted on her dashboard beeped louder than before.
Mina and Tsuyu had stayed behind at the hospital. There was only room in the car for five of them and Mina was in no fit emotional state to go while Tsuyu was taking more time to recover from giving blood than Todoroki and Deku had.
Todoroki had tried to leave Momo behind as well, but she'd stubbornly insisted on coming, reminding him it was her tracking device that would track Bakugo down and that her quirk could be used to create anything they might need if things turned ugly.
Once Deku and Kirishima had finished scrambling everything together in the backseat, Deku looked up and saw what looked like smoke. "Pretty sure he's over there." He pointed. It was hard to spot him through the rain but he had a pretty good idea about what would signal someone like Kacchan's location.
"Right, I'm on it." Momo sped up the vehicle and indeed as they approached the smoke they saw Bakugo, who looked like he was yelling and blowing out random bursts of explosions to create the smoke signals. He certainly wanted to be found, though she and everyone else knew that they weren't who he expected. She began to break and pulled the car to a stop close to him and everyone filed out.
Bakugo stopped and glared over at them. "And just what in the absolute fuck are you all doing here?"
"We came to make sure you were okay." Said Kirishima. "And to help if we can."
"He's only after me, you idiots! This isn't your fight!" Bakugo growled.
"Kacchan," began Deku, "we know you're angry. We all are. But when you get angry, you can sometimes be a little impulsive. We weren't just going to stand by and watch you end up just like Uraraka!"
Bakugo snarled. "As if that dumb villain could fucking touch me."
"Bakugo, don't be a fool. This guy can disappear and reappear wherever he wants at will. But, we have a trump card." Said Todoroki.
Momo took a few steps closer to Bakugo. "Kareino told us that he watched Sato clap his hands together before he disappeared. That means if we can get his hands, we can stop him."
Bakugo considered this for a moment. It was just like the guy who had the poisonous gas in the raid. Then he smirked, ready to rage now more than ever. "Dumb fucking villain." He turned to face the empty street. "You guys stay here." He started waking again.
Kirishima's jaw dropped. "Hey wait!"
Deku put a hand on his arm to stop him from going after Bakugo. "We need to hang back. It's likely he won't attack Kacchan if he can see he has help. Hang back and wait. We can get the drop on him that way."
"That's a good idea." Chimed Iida. "We should split up and give Bakugo the best advantage of surprise from a distance until we can pin him down."
Todoroki and Momo nodded. "Let's do it."
Kirishima and Iida went off to one side, Momo and Todoroki to another, and Deku activated his quirk and sped off in another direction.
Bakugo walked alone. His eyes were everywhere, his senses on edge to make sure he could be alert should the villain pop up behind him. "Come out and fight me you bastard! I'll kill you!" He yelled, shooting more explosions out of his palms to make noise and create more smoke.
"You'll kill me?" Came a man's voice. "Well that doesn't sound very heroic."
Bakugo whirled around to blast the source, but of course he disappeared. His eyes darted around to try to locate him. Then the voice was behind him again.
"My, you look awfully upset, Ground Zero. Let me guess...Did something happen to that pretty partner of yours?" Sato snickered.
Bakugo growled. "You'll pay for that you dumb villain." He turned to face the man who'd been preying on those who'd served in the Magome raid. His face was gaunt, almost skeletal for the lack of flesh. His eyes were large, a bit crazed. He reminded Bakugo of the Hero Killer Stain, based on the photos he'd seen on the internet all those years ago. He had dark hair and eyes, and was right about Bakugo's height.
"You will pay, Ground Zero!" Sato pointed at him. "You did a lot more damage than you realize when you attacked our lair. Those were my best men, and you damn heroes came around sticking your noses where they didn't belong! Our operation was going so smoothly until—!"
Bakugo didn't let him finish.
Explosions lit up his hands and surrounded Sato with flame and smoke. He reached to his left gauntlet with his right hand and pulled his grenade pin, unleashing one of his more powerful blasts due to the sweat it stored inside.
He braced himself. Surely that got him.
Sato's voice snickered from behind him, and when Bakugo turned to look he was almost ten feet away, completely unscathed.
"That was rude. You didn't let me finish." Sato said with a sneer. Then he smiled, crazed and eager for blood as he drew his knife from his belt. "What good can you do if you can't catch me, Hero?"
"Die!" Bakugo yelled, shooting another series of blasts in his direction. Sato appeared next to him suddenly and lashed out with his knife. Bakugo just barely managed to dodge it. When he raised his fist to attack, he was gone again.
"Fuck." Bakugo growled. This wasn't going to be as easy as he thought.
This series of movements continued for what felt like ages. Bakugo could feel himself getting tired, but he wasn't going to stop. Not until he was dead or until Sato was defeated. Sato's clothes were singed from his blasts, though. That meant he was getting tired, too.
"I'll kill you!" Bakugo shouted, rearing back to ready his blasts again. Sato was gone for a moment, then he was back.
But he was on the ground, and Bakugo's momentum didn't allow him to stop in time to jump back out of reach.
The knife plunged into his side and he let out a grunt from the pain. He tried to reach down to grab Sato since he was holding the knife. But in an instant he was gone again, taking his knife with him. Blood poured from his wound and Bakugo fell down on one knee.
"Bakugo!"
