The Tale of Katsuki
Katsuki's P.O.V
I was walking around minding my own business just enjoying the day. Starla had went to a film studio to show off what she could do, so I was by myself, not that I minded.
I saw some kids playing heroes vs bad guys. It looked like they were having a lot of fun. However there was another kid who was sitting on the bench. He looked pretty sad.
He reminded me of me when I was feeling down and the nerd, Midoriya had a chat with me. I decided to go over and talk with him. He looked at me.
"Whoa cool, you're Ground Zero!" He said. "My name is Katsuki Bakugo," I told him. "Mine is Kenji," the boy said introducing himself. "I appreciate you talking with me," I said, "Doesn't look like you're scared of me." "Nah, I wanna be like you when I get older." I sat on the bench with him.
"I couldn't help but notice you were feeling sad," I said, "What's got you down?" "My friends are playing Heroes vs Villains, but they wouldn't let me play with them," Kenji said. I was shocked. "Why not?" I asked. "Because I don't have a quirk," Kenji stated, "But that's ok. I don't even know how to fight." I thought of a way to cheer him up. "Maybe I could teach you a few moves," I said. Kenji looked up to me with hopeful eyes.
I got into a basic fighting stance.
"This is a basic stance for those in combat," I said, "Remember to keep your stance firm, and elbows locked. Kenji copied what I did. I did a jab with my right arm. "A jab is a basic punch that's best suited for the face," I said as I also did a straight punch, "A straight has more of a chance at stunning your opponent or making them flinch."
He copied the punches. "But its not all about attacking, because your opponent will more than likely fight back, and that's where evading comes in," I told him. "Jabs and straights can easily be avoided by side steps." I moved left and right as if I were avoiding a punch.
As I was teaching Kenji basic movements, the other kids were looking. "Hey, that's Ground Zero, the explosion hero!" Said one of them. They also noticed Kenji with me. Kenji was doing the dodges like I was. "And when they lose balance, or you see an opening, you counter," I said. Kenji dodged a punch and then threw a punch of his own.
"Just like that," I said, "Now this time, really let me have it." I did the same thing again. This time, Kenji ducked and then hit me with an uppercut. I really felt that one.
"Oh man, sorry!" Kenji said. "Nono, that was good," I said, "You've got quite the arm." Kenji smiled. I turned to the other kids. "Even if this boy doesn't have a quirk, he packs a punch," I told them, "So I think it's only fair that you let him play with you guys. In this reality, anybody can be a hero, whether they have a quirk or not."
The kids agreed and allowed Kenji to join in on the fun. Kenji turned around and gave me a hug. "Thank you Mr. Katsuki," he said. I smiled. "No problem," I said. He went back to play with his friends while showing off what he learned. I warmed my heart good to see somebody being accepted.
