Sasuke's POV
"Sasuke Uchiha! Is it true you killed your brother?!"
"Is Itachi really dead?!!"
"You brought justice to the Uchiha clan boy!!"
Villagers were cheering on Sasuke almost all day. Normally people would appreciate the support from others but something about this made his blood boil.
He killed his brother who is responsible for the fall of the Uchiha clan and his mother's and father's death. Why is he so angry then?
More questions were asked as now even kids began to ask. Sasuke tried to hold back as best as he could.
He noticed Shizune looking over and she had a worried look on her face. Sasuke was about to call out to her until-
"Itachi got what he deserved!! May he rot in the grave, the damned murderer!!"
Something in Sasuke then snapped. He eyed the man who said it and couldn't take it anymore. The disrespect towards his brother, the praising, the annoyance.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs and the people around him quieted down.
The boy was instantly in a fit of rage as he was breathing hard from his outrage.
"Who the hell are you all to judge my brother?! Yeah, I killed him!! But none of you knew him so you have no right to disrespect his name!!" Sasuke said, infuriated.
"Just shut the hell up!! Keep Itachi and my clan's names out your filthy mouths and move on!!"
Sasuke stomped off as the people were left confused. Some slightly angry for him snapping like that and using such language when their kids were around.
"Fucking assholes.." Sasuke muttered.
"Oi..." He heard a familiar voice.
He sighed and tried to calm down. "What do you want Sakura...?" He grumbled as the kunoichi sat next to him.
"I saw what happened, with the villagers talking about your brother.." She said. "I get that you're angry, but you shouldn't have snapped like that ya know."
"Don't judge the things I do or say, you worry about yourself.." Sasuke responded, still angry.
"Last time I only worried about myself, I lost a comrade, even more a friend Sasuke.." She responded. "You know who I'm talking about right?"
Sasuke closed his eyes and sighed, of course he remembers who she's talking about. How could he ever forget? Everyday he thinks about him.
He nodded slowly as Sakura eyed him in worry. Clearly he was in no mood to talk, but that doesn't mean he should be angry either.
"You think he'd want you to be angry?" She questioned.
"Tsk... the dobe was unpredictable, I don't know what he would've wanted.." Sasuke responded.
"But you're smart enough to think about what he would want.." Sakura said.
"Hn.."
Sakura noticed her teammate was slowly calming down. She sat next to him. "When's the last time you visited him?"
"Since me and you last had our long conversation.." Sasuke responded. "What about you?"
"Yesterday, I visit him everyday... no matter how tired I am. I even attempted to cook ramen and eat at-"
A loud boom erupted in the village which startled both Sasuke and Sakura and caused them to get up quick.
They looked in the direction and heard screams while noticing smoke in the air. "What the hell is that...?" Sakura asked.
"We need to get there quick!!" Sasuke ordered and they both jumped from building to building.
Naruto's POV
The loud boom erupted loudly enough for the blonde to stop walking the opposite way and turn to see that there was smoke filling the sky.
The hell?
He stood there puzzled a bit before realization had hit him.
That's Konoha!!
Kit, he's there..
I know!
Naruto instantly put on his mask, not bothering to change his hair color as he quickly jumped from tree to tree.
It was going to take awhile for him to get there, but he had to get there at least to face off against Pein. He wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste.
His feet roughly hit every branch that he almost slipped, his blood was boiling. The same thing began to happen. Jiraiya's face showed up in his head, the great memories, his smile, laugh, jokes, and finally his lifeless body.
He then saw Pein's face and shook his head to clear his mind. His focus was only on getting to Pein and killing him.
Sakura's POV
When Sasuke and Sakura got to where they heard the explosion they instantly saw villagers running for their lives. They saw fire spreading and children crying as they held onto their moms and dads tightly.
A scream from a toddler was heard and the kunoichi and shinobi both turned their heads to see a giant centipede with purple eyes.
An old lady and a little girl was curled up by each other in shock and fear.
"Sakura!"
"On it!"
Sakura ran quick and leaped into the air and balled up her fist tightly. "CHA!!"
She punched the centipede hard enough that it was down in one swoop, another came approaching her but a lightning blade went through it and moved up, splitting the large beast in two.
"A- Arigato Haruno-san and Uchiha-san!" The little girl said while wiping her tears.
"Get somewhere safe, preferably the hospital! Quick!" Sasuke ordered and the two wasted no time in running off.
"Sakura! Sasuke!" Iruka came running towards them.
"Iruka-sensei! What's going on?!" Sakura asked.
"I don't know all the facts, but villagers are going around yelling Akatsuki!" Iruka panicked.
Sasuke grumbled. "Sakura, get to the hospital! Heal all the people you can there!" He said running off.
"W- what about you?!"
"I'm gonna find the Akatsuki!" He said as he jumped from building.
"I don't necessarily agree with Sasuke's plan, but he's right. You're needed at the hospital." Iruka said before another explosion went off.
"Where's Tsunade-sama?!"
"She's been warned." Iruka responded before running off. "Get to the hospital before it's too late!"
Sakura nodded and ran off in the opposite direction and looked up at the hokage mansion.
Tsunade-sama... I hope you have a solution for all this...
Tsunade's POV
Dammit... Akatsuki, they've finally made their move on us...
"Tsunade-sama... what do we do?" The ANBU squad member asked.
Tsunade was in a tough situation. She had the think this through completely. She is hokage and whatever happens to the people of Konoha, she has to take responsibility. She knows that if it comes down to it, she and Orochimaru would have to join the fight.
"Sound the emergency alarm! Get Sasuke here immediately before he does something reckless too!" She responded and the ANBU went to go do just that.
She stared out the window in anger before she headed up to the rooftop.
Sasuke's POV
Sasuke was looking all around for the Akatsuki member but he couldn't find anyone. All he saw were villagers running from danger, screaming and cries filled his ear.
He wasn't even looking where he was going and suddenly bumped into Hinata. She almost fell onto the dirt ground until he caught her last second.
"S- Sasuke-kun!"
"Where's the enemy?!" He asked impatiently.
"I- I don't know! I was helping the people and guiding them to the hospital and then- wait Sasuke-kun!!"
Sasuke began walking away from her, if she doesn't know where the Akatsuki member is then he shouldn't waste any time.
"Get to the hospital! Sakura is there, if you run into anyone else let them know!"
"W- What about you?" She asked worriedly.
"I'm gonna find the bastard who's the cause of this.." Sasuke responded but suddenly felt his hand get grabbed.
"You're not going alone." She told him.
"Baka, get to the hospital like I said." He told her and released from her grip.
"N- No!"
"Hinata this isn't the time right now! Get to the damn hospital!" He raised his voice.
"I- If you're fighting the Akatsuki you're not doing it alone! Think straight! You're going to DIE if you go alone!" Hinata raised her voice with confidence. "Trust your comrades! It's not just you! WE do it together! Right now!"
Sasuke looked down at her. She already had her byakugan activated. He sighed and shook his head, not having much of a choice.
"Don't slow me down."
And just like that he ran off as Hinata followed from behind.
Tsunade's POV
"Kuchiyose no jutsu!" Tsunade shouted as she slammed her palm against the rooftop of the Hokage mansion.
Smoke appeared and right next to the mansion, a giant slug appeared. The slug turned and looked down at the long haired blonde.
"Katsuyu, take my chakra and use it wisely to treat all injuries throughout the village!" Tsunade ordered.
"Yes ma'am!"
The slug then dispersed into over hundreds, maybe thousands, of other slugs. They all dispersed throughout the village as Tsunade watched most of them get healed.
"As Hokage, I will protect this village with my life! I will not let the amount of hard work the other Hokage's put into this village go to waste, nor will I let Naruto's dream about this village be destroyed either!!" She declared.
The other ANBU members behind her nodded in agreement and Tsunade felt footsteps behind her and could already sense the chakra.
"Orochimaru..." She trailed off..
"Village is under attack... why aren't you down there?" He asked as he stood next to her.
"Why aren't you?" Tsunade asked back.
The snake Sannin put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm here to protect the Hokage.." He told her. "Also, though this may be bad timing, I believe you should know the truth.."
Tsunade looked at him puzzled. Is he responsible for this? She had plenty of questions for the person responsible for attacking the village.
"Naruto Uzumaki is still alive.."
Sakura's POV
Currently, in the midst of all the hell that's happening outside, Sakura was inside healing any injured villagers and sure enough, there were a whole bunch of them.
So many were fighting for their lives and others are now recovering thanks to the rest of the nurses and Sakura.
When the door slid open Sakura saw Iruka there with another shinobi who had passed out. "Iruka-sensei!" She called out.
He noticed her and quickly rushed to her so she can help prevent a life being taken from them all. He sets the shinobi down softly.
"How bad are his injuries??" She asked.
"Very bad! We- we ran into the leader Jiraiya faced! Pein!" Iruka said, his words echoed and everyone in the building turned their heads to the worried man.
As if they thought it couldn't get any worse. They all had worried looks and children were absolutely terrified as their parents tried to calm them down.
"Pein?! What happened out there?!"
"Kakashi is fighting Pein right now! But something tells me that he can't find the Akatsuki's leader alone!" Iruka said and Sakura gasped.
K- Kakashi-sensei is fighting the leader? What is he thinking?!
"Not only that Sakura! But I know who they're after!" Iruka exclaimed as Sakura finished up healing the injured shinobi.
"Who?" She asked.
Is this what this is all about?! Who're they after?! Tsunade-sama? Orochimaru?
When the man stayed quiet, Sakura grew impatient and got in his face. "Iruka-sensei! Who are they after?!" She raised her voice.
"T- They're after Sasuke!" He responded and Sakura's eyes grew big.
Sasuke?! Why him?!
If she could she would go out there and warn him but unfortunately, other than Shizune, Sakura is also Tsunade's apprentice and is needed here at the hospital.
She worried, both her sensei and comrade are out there fighting against the strongest Akatsuki member other than Itachi. This could go terribly wrong. She already lost one friend, she can't lose anyone else.
Sasuke! Kakashi! Please, be careful!
Sasuke's POV
"Hinata? Where the hell is Neji and his team?" Sasuke asked.
"Out on a mission!" She responded.
Fuck... as if things could not get worse!
Sasuke was already irritated, he was not going to let these people get away with this so easily.
He felt a presence and saw paper forming by him which seemed so unusual of course. "Hinata stop!" He ordered and they both stopped in their tracks.
The paper finished forming and there stood a woman who was clearly older than them and had purple hair and amber eyes. She had an emotionless face and the Akatsuki cloak on.
"Hinata... stay focused.."
"H- Hai.."
Konan eyed them both, but she mostly looked at Sasuke. "Sasuke Uchiha...?" Was all she said and the boy did not respond at all.
"My... you look just like Itachi.."
Sasuke shot her a death glare. Even when his brother is dead, anyone who mentions his name, even an enemy, pisses him off.
"Urusai..." He told her. "You think you can just come in and destroy the village and walk away unscathed?"
The woman stood there, not moving a centimeter. She just stared at the both of them.
"People are dying! Children are hurt along with their families! You're a monster! All of you! Why are you doing this?!!" Hinata shouted.
"Simple. To destroy this village, and kill the boy you stand beside." Konan responded. "You're just gonna get in the way.."
Konan threw a paper bomb towards Hinata but Sasuke threw a kunai and pinned it against a wall as it exploded.
Konan looked at the Uchiha with a look of interest as his Sharingan activated, but it looked way more different than any Sharingan.
Sasuke had a determined look as he eyed the woman. He took out his sword and got in a fighting stance. "Hinata, you said you wanted to fight by me, right?" He asked and Hinata nodded. "Then prove it.."
Sasuke played it smart and kept his distance from Konan and circled around her and she just stood there like a statue.
"This will take a few seconds.." She muttered.
Tsunade's POV
Tsunade was growing furious with Orochimaru, she felt as if he was joking when he said Naruto is still alive so she was not at all pleased to hear this information, that is actually.
"Don't say his name Orochimaru! As much as I can't accept it, he's gone! He's DEAD!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
"Dig up his body then, whatever you saw in his casket it's not the real him-"
"Shut up! I'm done with this!! Get out of here, I don't need your-"
Tsunade then paused when suddenly shock mixed with anger filled her body.
Tsunade-sama... Kakashi...
Tsunade bit her lip. She had just lost a skilled shinobi to the leader. She angrily stomped off to one of the pillars on the rooftop and gave it an extremely hard punch in anger, the stone pillar crumbled into little pieces as she stomped back to Orochimaru.
"Get out of here and help the rest of the villagers, Jiraiya is dead. And now I just lost Kakashi in the midst of hearing your bullshit." Tsunade snarled.
"If I were to prove to you that Naruto is still truly alive-"
"Hokage-sama! Behind you!" An ANBU member said.
The two turned their attentions to a man with spiky orange hair, lots of piercing, and the Rinnegan eyes. The man stood there with a stoic expression.
"6 nose piercings and 7 studs in each ear. That's definitely him.." An ANBU squad member said.
"It's been a long time, Lady Tsunade." The man said. "And I never thought to see you here... Orochimaru..."
Tsunade looked at him with narrowed eyes. She felt like she had seen this man somewhere before. He definitely looked familiar.
This is the guy... who killed Kakashi and...
"The two last remaining of The Legendary Sannin. I only came to exchange a few words, that is if you're up to it, Hokage.." Pein told them.
Finally Tsunade put the pieces together, she had an almost saddened look on her face. "You're that boy from long ago... along with the two other kids aren't you?" She asked.
Orochimaru had trouble but put the pieces together as well. "It is... but why-"
"So... you really do remember me, don't you..?" Pein asked.
"Yeah... I do.." Tsunade responded.
You were such a good kid... why would you do something like this Yahiko?!
"What happened to you? Why are you doing this?" Orochimaru asked him.
"Sasuke Uchiha... where is he?" Pein asked, ignoring Orochimaru's questions.
"Like I'd tell you.." Tsunade responded.
"What you are doing is completely meaningless. If you both continue to protect the boy than there will be even more conflict." Pein said. "More people will die, some will even suffer... but suffering is best for them.."
"Sasuke is apart of the Hidden Leaf... we won't let someone like you get ahold of him.." Orochimaru responded.
"You are nothing but terrorist's! You are only destroying the peace that the previous Kage's struggled to create and maintain! Konoha will not so easily head to the likes of you!" Tsunade exclaimed.
In a mere second, Orochimaru's neck extended and headed towards Pein. "Such foolish, arrogance!!" Pein raised his voice and everyone on the rooftop felt immense chakra coming from the leader which worried them deeply.
It even blew Orochimaru back a little as his head returned back to his body.
The power of the Rinnegan... this power is definitely better than mine... even better than Tsunade's.
"You have no right to speak on peace. What you call peace has only brought nothing but violence upon this village, upon us all." Pein told her.
"Bullshit! Scum like you can never be forgiven! What you did to this village, something like this can never be forgivable! Don't try to lecture me on peace-"
"If I were you... I'd watch your tone and how you speak to me." Pein tells her.
Tsunade would not listen to him so easily, she meant everything she said. He can't be forgiven for this, he would have to pay for this dearly.
"Final warning for you both, from a god, give up Sasuke Uchiha or I'll make it so that it looks as if a village never even existed here.."
Tsunade and Orochimaru stayed quiet. Of course they're not gonna give up Sasuke so easily like that, no one in this village would.
No matter how strong the enemy is, this village will stay loyal to each other, and as Hokage, Tsunade will even resort to bringing Pein down with every ounce of chakra she's got.
"Speak when you're spoken to." Pein told her in a serious warning tone.
"This village will not hand over Sasuke. And we will use all the power we got to bring someone like you down. I have nothing more to say to a monster like you." Tsunade responded.
"I knew I should've killed you during the war... you're lucky Jiraiya was soft hearted.." Orochimaru responded. "Luckily, I'm given another opportunity to do just that.." He smiled.
"You really believe the shinobi here can protect the boy this much?" Pein asked.
"I don't think. I know.." Tsunade responded.
"Seeing how he defeated Itachi... Sasuke is more stronger than you think, and he will not lose to someone as pathetic like you.." Orochimaru responded.
Pein stood there pissed on this inside. Why would they go so far to protect one person, even if this person could cost them their lives.
No matter. If they wish to play dumb, I'll leave this village in nothing but dirt.
"So be it.."
Sasuke's POV
Konan's body formed paper wings as she flew into the air and looked down at the Uchiha. Paper began to float around her as well and it formed a sharp needle.
"Shikigami no Mai.."
At incredible speed it was sent to Sasuke and he barely missed it as he was cut on his cheek. Slight blood came out of it. Sasuke did hand signs before inhaling deeply.
Katon: Goryuka no Justu!
A huge dragon-headed fireball was sent towards Konan which could easily be dodged from the distance.
She flew out of the way but that was just a distraction for the Uchiha as he stood on his sword and a Chidori lightning blade splits one of Konan's wings which surprised her a bit as she felt herself slightly get lower to the ground.
Amaterasu!
The other wing caught on fire and Konan realized that she was starting to underestimate the boy. She had no choice but to let her other wing go away as landed on the ground on her feet.
"Hinata!"
The Hyuga girls byukugan activated. "Gentle Fist Art: Eight Trigrams Sixty Four Palms!"
Instantly she rushed Konan and began using her ability to the max. Sasuke approached in amazement of how much Hinata had improved.
But suddenly Konan had dispersed into paper again before appearing behind Hinata and kicking her into a wall. "Hinata!" Sasuke called out.
"No more distractions Uchiha." Konan responded.
"Bastard.." Sasuke grumbled before doing hand signs.
"Not a chance.."
Konan sent papers and began to wrap it all around Sasuke in attempt to turn them into paper bombs, but the boy wouldn't go down easily like that.
"Chidori Nagashi!"
Lighting was formed all around Sasuke's body as the papers turned into tiny pieces of leftover paper. She used more paper to create paper shurikens and had them go towards the boy.
"Chidori Senbon!"
The chidori needles cut through each shuriken and Konan used more paper to create a shield to help protect herself from the lightning needles. What surprised her more was when Sasuke used Chidori Eisō to penetrate right through the shield and almost hit Konan's right eye.
Any further, there's a chance she would've died. She backed away from the long lightning blade as it went away.
Kusanagi no Tsurugi
An electrical current was sent through all of Sasuke's sword. He jumped in the air and charged at Konan. He had to get at least one good hit on her to send the electrical current through her body.
Konan, however, was still trying to play it smart began to disperse again making tons of paper bombs that surrounded Sasuke.
Damn it!!
The bombs exploded and a loud boom echoed throughout entire village. Smoke filled the air and Konan reappeared by where the explosion went off, still determined but confused. She could still sense Sasuke's chakra.
Why won't he just die?!
The smoke took a few moments to clear out but it did and there stood Sasuke with his eyes still closed.
He opened them slowly still surprised to see he's still alive but something was definitely different.
He was surrounded by a purple aura with bones around him and a skeleton. He was almost shocked that he could do this so early without even knowing. Blood trickled down his left eye and he felt pain from there.
Konan looked at Sasuke, she was impressed that someone lasted this long against her. But then again she knew what she was getting herself into.
"You got good strength and an idea of how to fight your enemies, I'll give you that.." She told him. "But then again, I'd expect something like this from Itachi's killer."
Sasuke then felt stronger than before. He had just awakened the Susano'o and felt like at any point he could just kill Konan right here.
"Urusai.." He told her.
"Don't think you get the upper hand now.." She told him as she rushed towards the boy but someone got in her way.
"64 palms!" Hinata said as she hit Konan with an extremely painful blow to the gut which could've almost killed her and destroyed her internal organs.
She coughed up blood before she was sent back into four other people from the leaf. One of the males with white hair, made finger guns and pointed it towards to Konan's back.
"Nichō!"
Water forced Konan to the ground where she was met with a kick to her face by a teen with red hair and another punch to the gut by a man with glasses and silver hair.
The last man with orange hair finished it off by adding another punch to Konan's gut and sent her flying into the air.
Hinata still had her byakugan activated and knew someone else was approaching them. "Sasuke-kun! Behind you!" She warned.
They both turned around to see a woman with long orange hair, tons of piercings, and Rinnegan eyes staring at them.
Another enemy?
"Hinata... stay alert.." Sasuke told her and she nodded.
Konan dispersed into a bunch of paper again and that was the last everyone saw of her as of right now.
"Aren't you glad I came to help you Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked in a comedic tone.
"Oi! It's WE you dumbass!" Karin exclaimed.
"Stop arguing, we got more things to deal with.." Kabuto responded to them both.
"Another enemy... could they also be the one responsible?" Jugo asked as they all approached Sasuke and Hinata, and stood by their sides.
The woman wasn't moving a muscle. She stood there with no emotion. Suddenly she retreated which confused Sasuke and Hinata both. Suigetsu laughed it off.
"Heh.. serves her." He said.
Sasuke deactivated his Susano'o.
Maybe they got the message..
But little did they all know... that she was sending information.
Tsunade's POV
Tsunade and Orochimaru noticed something Pein's eyes were different, a moment ago he was just angry, but now he seems accomplished.
"I see... so that's where Sasuke is..." He said and Tsunade's eyes widened. "Staying here and chatting with you both is now meaningless."
The man turned his back to them all and began to walk away.
"Don't you dare-"
"Tsunade.." Orochimaru interrupted. "If he tries anything I'll kill him."
"One last thing.." Pein said as he stopped. "The chakra in your feet, it's to resist my technique right?" He asked.
The rest of them stayed quiet and prepared for any moves he's about to make on them. They all got ready to attack.
"Even if is, it's futile against the overwhelming power you are about to face." He warned them. "You're all so blind that you see yourself as the ruling powers, and do everything you can to keep a far distance from death. And soon, when softened by peace, you become thoughtless."
Tsunade hated his words dearly. How dare someone like him judge us after his monstrous act!
"Kill or be killed. Hatred always connects those two.." Pein pointed out.
"You keep telling yourself these things... soon enough someone will prove you wrong." Orochimaru responded. "Even so, you'll end up dead."
"You talk such nonsense, you've brought nothing but trauma upon these people.." Tsunade told Pein.
"Conflict is something that brings death, wounds, and even pain to both sides.." Pein responded.
"You act as if The Great Nations have not also suffered!! Don't you dare attack us with such false accusations!!" Tsunade raised her voice.
Pein slightly turned his head. Something else in his eyes changed. He felt as if he wasn't being taken seriously, after killing Jiraiya and destroying parts of this village, they're still so blind.
"You just don't understand. Ridiculous." He said. "I intended to only come her to kill Sasuke. But now there has been more added to it."
Pein began to rise off the ground. "Feel pain. Contemplate pain." He told them as he began to lift his arms, still floating towards the sky.
"Wait, Pein!!" Tsunade called out.
"Pein!" Orochimaru called out.
"Accept pain. Know pain." He continues.
Pein stared down at them with nothing but disgust and prepared..
"Tsunade... he still has something planned.. I know it.." Orochimaru said.
"Those who do not know pain, will never know what true peace is!"
Konan's POV
Konan let a bit of blood go down her chin before wiping it off. She had underestimated the leaf quite a bit, especially Sasuke. She's currently in the forest recovering before she saw one of the other Pein's appear and do a summoning jutsu.
The rest of the other Pein's soon appeared and Konan was there a bit confused and question Pein's intentions.
"What're you doing?" He asked one of the Pein's.
"I'm going to use it.." One of them responded and Konan was a bit shocked.
What the hell do you think you're doing Nagato?!
Tsunade's POV
Tsunade looked up in the sky at Pein. She was standing there confused by his words.
Those who do not know pain, will never know what true peace is!
What the hell does he mean?
"Orochimaru, you're right... he definitely has something planned." He told him.
"Any ideas of what it could be?" He asked.
"No... but it's something big." She responded. His words replayed in her mind over and over again before she got the meaning. She rose her head and had to act quick.
"Orochimaru! Get to Sasuke immediately! Something terrible is about to happen!!" She ordered before her and the rest of the ANBU members jumped from roof to roof as Orochimaru followed her orders.
"Oi!! Pein, what do you intend to do?!!" She shouted but was received with silence.
Konan's POV
"Think about this Nagato!! If you do this you could shorten your life!!" She told him, but he wouldn't listen.
The 5 Pein's collapsed against the grass and Konan turned and looked in the sky at her comrade. "You're set on doing this anyway... aren't you?" She asked.
Pein's POV
"I will not forget Yahiko's pain." He said.
He had finished preparing for his plan and looked down upon the village. "From now on..." He trailed and took a deep breath as he built up all the power for this risky move.
"This world shall know pain.."
The sky went bright, completely replacing the blue sky. It felt as if the sun was coming down to earth. He looked all around and saw worried faces, including Tsunade's.
This is it, judgement would rain upon the village and the people. He will finally get his point across to everyone here.
He finally executed his plan...

And finally it had happened...
Sasuke's POV
Everyone in the village began to feel uneasy, Sasuke and his team included. He was blinded by the extreme bright light but suddenly felt the ground shake.
"Oi! What the hell is going on?!" Suigetsu exclaimed.
"S- Sasuke-kun!" Hinata cried out.
Off in the distance, Sasuke heard buildings breaking and looked up to see nothing but impending doom heading their way. He knew this impact was going to be completely non-avoidable.
He acted quick and activated his Susano'o again and looked over to see Hinata completely frozen in place as her eyes widened in fear and shock.
"HINATA!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs before diving and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her close to him and tightly holding her to protect her from this nightmare that is about to occur.
The last thing he heard were building's breaking down and Hinata's soft gasp. The last thing he saw before black out was her worried face...
Time Skip...
Hinata's POV
Hinata moaned as she felt herself waking up from whatever happened. The last thing she remembered was Sasuke jumping to protect her from something extremely dangerous.
She opened her eyes to see she was still in Sasuke's embrace but they were under a few broken wooden planks.
She moved in a bit of pain as she tried to push the planks off them both. She did it successfully as they fell beside her and Sasuke and she fell to her knees, coughing.
When she looked up, she was not prepared and was completely frozen again.
"W- what... happ-" She choked on her words.
The village was completely destroyed, nothing was left. Nothing but a huge crater in the middle from the impact. Building's that were still intact just a minute ago, where now completely destroyed and gone.
She was surrounded by broken stone and wood as her brain tried to process everything, but it seemed like everything in her body had stopped working.
She couldn't think anymore, or even say anything. She was just scared and completely shocked.
"Hinata...?" He heard a feminine voice call out and slowly turned to see Sakura there. The pink-haired kunoichi crawled over to her, she too was also shocked and completely lost.
"S- Sakura... w- what... happened..?" Hinata asked softly before hearing soft sniffles from Sakura.
Hinata looked down to see Sasuke was in horrible condition. He had blood coming out from the side of his head. If the wound isn't treated properly, he could possibly die.
She put her head to his heart and heard the slow but loud thumps coming from his chest. Hinata put her hand on his cheek.
"Sasuke-kun... w- wake up..." She said softly, but received nothing but silence. "Sasuke-kun.. please... can you hear me...?"
Still no answer...
"Please... please Sasuke-kun... wake up... I- I need you..." She whispered softly as she cried into the unconscious boys chest. She held his right hand tightly with both of her hands.
Sakura would try to heal, but she used up most her chakra in the hospital and now barely has any left to treat the wound.
"H- Hinata..." She called out as a tear also went down her cheek.
At this point Sakura and Hinata both felt weak. They couldn't do anything in this situation. They felt... broken.
They felt as if they'd lost everything, everything felt... uneven. For the first time in a long time... they had given up... and Hinata had no choice but to try a different approach as her head shot up.
"SOMEONE!! PLEASE HELP!!! ANYONE!!! HELP!!" She cried out, but was received with silence again.
Sakura felt weak and had given up completely as she lets her emotions control her now.
Just when they thought it was over, they heard a loud "boom" come down from the crater and both their heads shot up in shock.
They saw orange smoke appear and they looked down with hopeful expressions that this is someone who had come to help them all.
The smoke took a few moments to clear out. Hinata and Sakura's eyes almost widened when they saw a man with a mask, blonde hair, a sword, and orange cloak appear on one knee as he rested his arms on the sword, which was stabbed into the ground, for support.
The man slowly turned his head upward and looked up at Pein.
Naruto's POV
Naruto did it. He had finally arrived at the village. He saw Pein in the sky and instantly, hatred flowed through his body. This time he was going to settle this.
Kurama growled.
"Pein..." He muttered as he stood on his two feet and took the sword out of the ground before he looked back up at Pein. "This time.." He trailed off.
His eyes flared red with a lined pupil going downward on both eyes. He had been waiting for this moment for what seemed like forever.
"This time, you will die!! Right here, right now!! Believe it!!"
"If you don't like the hand that fate's dealt you with, fight for a new one!"
