Quinn was in the kitchen serving up dinner. Jay was sat at the kitchen table trying not to laugh at the way she was banging cupboard doors shut. She turned around to glare at him as she heard the muffled laugh.
"Ok what's got you so worked up?" He asked.
She hesitated for a moment and set the plate down that she was holding.
"You know I love Will like he was my own brother" She said leaning against the kitchen counter.
"Yeah I do" He said cautiously.
"When is he thinking about leaving?" She asked.
"It's been a week" He laughed walking over to her and putting his hands on her waist "He's driving you crazy already?"
"Look I feel bad about it" She said " But he's eaten all of my cereal, he was here five minutes before he was playing couch commando, I have no idea who Marissa chose for the one on one date this week"
"Woah" Jay said with a smirk "He interrupted the bachelorette, it's not like you can catch up with it what was he thinking?"
"Are you done with the sarcasm?" She asked hitting him playfully.
"Yes" He said catching her hand "I'll talk to him, bachelorette is on the same level as bacon, do not touch"
"And he owes me a box of cereal" She added as Jay leant down to kiss her.
"Get a room" Will said walking through and budging them out of the way so he could get into the refrigerator.
"They're all our rooms" She muttered.
"You'll get over it" Jay told him kissing her again.
"Dinners ready" She said trying to be nicer.
She did love Will and she was happy to let him stay. She just need to work through the issues that were slowly grating on her. She was just tired and grumpy.
They were all sat down in the living room. Quinn grabbed the remote to put on the voice for her wind down hour after a long day.
"The voice really?" Will asked.
Jay was motioning at him to stop but it was too late.
"Yes really" She replied "I have two shows that I look forward to every week and you already ruined one, so please do not ruin this one"
"I get winding down, but this garbage?" Will asked shaking his head "I thought better of you Fabray"
"Because highlights of a game you already watched, or reruns of Baywatch is so much better" She retorted.
"Kind of is" Jay admitted running a hand through his har.
Quinn glared at him and turned on the TV turning up the volume. She wasn't going to be shamed by the Halstead's.
It was a nice night, so she decided to sit out back after dinner. It had been a long week, so she wanted to enjoy the good weather. Jay and Will came out and joined her.
"So, have you two thought anymore about the wedding?" He asked.
"I don't want a long engagement" She replied "I always thought I'd have set plans for my dream wedding but honestly I just want to be married"
"Well that's good" Jay joked "I saw your high school dream board; we couldn't afford it"
"Please most of that about my dreams for being prom queen and Yale" She laughed.
"We could just go to city hall" He suggested.
"Ok, I know you're function over form" She said "And I do want something simple but maybe not that simple"
"So, what do you want?" He asked.
"Just our closest family and friends" She replied "I'd be happy with a church service and then we could just go for drinks afterwards"
"Who are you and what have you done with Quinn Fabray?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"We've all just already been through a lot" She shrugged "It'll be good to have something happy to look forward to but it doesn't have to be huge, I don't want to spent all that time scrimping and saving, we finally ended up together again and I don't want to wait"
"I'll set up a meeting at the church" He told her.
"So, no honeymoon?" Will asked "If you're keeping it small"
"And miss the chance of getting away from you for a week?" She replied raising an eyebrow "Of course there's going to be a honeymoon"
"You adore me" Will said shaking his head.
"I do" She nodded "But if you steal my cereal or make me miss the bachelorette next week, I will end you"
"You know you're marrying a psychopath, right?" Will asked.
"I know" He nodded with a grin "You're just lucky it's not that first summer you wouldn't have gotten a warning"
"Oh please, it was you two that were always in a fight" She laughed standing up to go back inside.
"Like you never slapped us?" He said shaking his head.
"You probably deserved it" She replied as he pulled her down onto his lap kissing her.
"Probably" He agreed.
"Have you heard from Connor?" Will asked pulling another beer from the cooler "How is he doing?"
"I think it's just going to take some time" She replied biting her lip "But I think it's easier not being here"
"I still can't believe he's gone, it's not the same not having him to butt heads with" Will said shaking his head with a smirk.
"Oh, I'm sure you'll find someone else no problem" She said.
"You by the sounds of it" Jay said pinching her side playfully "I can't get peace in my own house"
"Well you ate some of that cereal too so that's kind of on you" Will pointed out.
Quinn gasped smacking his shoulder.
"I was going to replace it" He said holding his hands up.
"You two are cooking for the rest of the week" She said pointing at them both.
"Good" Will laughed "I didn't think I was going to make it through whatever that was you made"
"I thought it was great" Jay said kissing her cheek as she pouted.
"Such a suck up" Will muttered.
"I don't want to sleep on the couch tonight" He shrugged.
"You make me sound like a monster" She laughed.
"We're just teasing" He said.
Quinn loved this. A family where everything was just easy going and fun. If not a little irritating. She felt like she had really found her place.
"Are you watching the highlights?" Will asked standing up.
Quinn whispered in Jay's ear that she had a new lingerie set upstairs from her shopping trip.
"You know what I've got an early morning I'm going to head up to bed" Jay said giving an exaggerated yawn.
"Ok" Will said rolling his eyes but he was smiling "Goodnight you two"
