Sweat rolls down my neck as I flip my hair back and I clench my guitar. I exhale and inhale while stretching my fingers out and then I turn around to my bandmates who were also sweating just as hard as I was.
"The ending again!" I say and everyone nods their head after taking a breather.
"Five, Six, Seven, Eight!"
We play our hearts out once again as we have been practicing all day.
Everything mattered tomorrow, so everything we did now was going to be used for our important day. Sonic has his singing perfect after many restarts last week, Tails practiced on being more confident even though he is a drummer we all rely on him and if you are the drummer you lead the band more than the singer does, and Rouge got her runs down so she can complement me and Sonic making us sound better than we already do.
We all needed each other, for tomorrow.
Tails closes us out and me and Rouge follow him with the rip of our guitars. We wait to take a break until the sound of our guitars are completely gone and then we hit the ground panting heavily. Sweat rolls off my face and I smile as I watch it hit the stage.
Clapping occurs below the stage on the floor and I drop my guitar and I lay face down. I feel a cold object touch my hand as I pant heavily, and I look up to see it's a water bottle.
"Drink up guys! You sounded perfect." Says Knuckles as watches out last run through.
No one responds to his compliment as we breath heavily. I look over and I see Sonic is laying on the ground as well, unbuttoning his shirt as he is hot. I grab the water bottle and I twist it open. I lean on my back and I drink the water bottle down quickly. I remove it from my mouth, and I gasp as I didn't breathe the entire time.
"Sonic! You sounded great! I can't believe you have such a range, its insane!" Says Blaze who was watching as well.
"Thank…. You…" Sonic says out of breath as he leans up and pants.
Blaze blushes a bit as she looks at Sonic and then she looks away quickly. Blaze eyes meet mine and she runs over to me. I look at her walk over here and then I look at Sonic who lays back on the stage.
"Why did Blaze look at him like that?"
"Amy! You guys are going to win with ease! I know it! The ending sends so many chills in my body." Blaze says scuffling my hair and I smile at her.
"I think so too." I say as I get up and I spin around to sit up.
Blaze then leans up close to me and I bend down as I see she wants to tell me something.
"Your singer looks kind of hot too." She says and I look over at him.
I watch Knuckles tap Sonic's body to make sure he is alive, and Sonic doesn't budge making Knuckles laugh hard.
"Yeah, he does look a little sweaty but I'm sure he- "
" . I mean like attractive. You know what? I don't know why it took me so long to realize that." She whispers and I clench my fist as her words ring in my ear.
"Haha, what? You think he is hot?" I whisper back as a ping of jealously runs through my brain.
I stand up to grab another water and Blaze follows me.
"Well yeah! Who wouldn't like someone who is ripped and can sing! Yeah, he is kind of blunt and nonchalant, but I feel there is something else under that you know?"

I had Blaze a water bottle and I eye him.
"You should give him this. He seems pretty thirsty and he will see it as a nice favor." I whisper to her and Blaze blushes and nods her head.
"You are a genius!" She says as she takes it and she practically run to Sonic and offers him a water bottle.
Sonic leans up and notices Blaze is offering another water bottle and he takes it. He thanks her and they start going into a conversation making me look away and I grab a water bottle as well.
"It's not like I could have just told just told her that, me and Sonic were dating. What else was I supposed to do. Besides, I am sure Sonic wouldn't flirt with her or anything."
I think as I look at my bracelet on my arm. I hear Sonic's laugh and I perk my head up and I look over at him. Blaze is laughing as well and Sonic smiles at her as he drinks his water bottle. I stand up immediately and I walk over to the stage.
"Hey guys! Can I call a meeting really quick? Just to go over everything." I say as I secretly try to get Blaze to stop talking to Sonic.
"Yes!" Tails yells as he jumps in the air with a water bottle in his hand and his drumsticks in his pockets.
Rouge smiles at him and she grabs Knuckles hand and they all walk forward on the stage. They sit down on the edge and Sonic does as well as he scoots closer to Knuckles who sat beside him. Blaze takes a seat by Sonic too and she brushes against his arm on "accident" making him look at her. She apologizes and Sonic smiles at her and tells her its nothing.
Sonic finally looks up to me and I look away as I look at everyone waiting for me too speak. Before I speak, I feel an intense aura of pressure for tomorrow sink in making me feel… excited.
I smile and I confidently raise my head high.
"That was our final run and it was perfect. Even if you don't think it was because we are trying our best which is all that matters. Also, just to make sure you guys don't forget. I hope you packed everything you needed for the trip so once we leave the school and get on our minibus that the school provided us, and it will be driven by Knuckles himself." I say as I smile at Knuckles.
"But we will head out right after this so once we get out there in the parking lot make sure you double check and if you need something important just let me know." I say and then I take a big breath
"Tomorrow is it. Tomorrow is the day we show everyone, every band, every audience member what real music is! We have it! The passion, the love, the tears, the emotion, the confidence and all the power to win this competition with a breeze." I say and everyone smiles at me.
"We felt it up there. During our last run, we felt it! Let's keep this feeling and spread it over the everyone who watches and listens to us tomorrow! I tell you guys all the time that as long as we have passion and we try our hardest then there Is no way we can lose!" I say and I bring my fist up and I clench it.
"To be honest… I've never felt so nervous before in my life. Maybe it's because this is my first time leading but… really. It feels like we are walking into a sword fight with a gun and I have never wanted to destroy so much people at once by playing a song that is only three minutes and forty-nine seconds long." I say as I feel a surge of adrenaline run in my veins.
"Let's set them on fire." I say as I place my hand out.
Everyone eyes glimmers with inspiration and they all stand up and run to put their hand in. Even Knuckles and Blaze who weren't in our band, but they were here for support, which technically makes them in the band as well.
"I'm ready!" Tails says and I smile at him.
"Can't wait! I know we are going to kick ass!" Rouge says and I nod my head at her.
"Let's just not actually fight them after we win." Sonic says and we all laugh.
"This is it. This is the passion we need to win."
"We are going to be the ones standing in first place." I say and they all nod their head.
"On three!" I yell.
"One two three!"

We all yell loudly and suddenly Tails hugs me and I hug him back as my face gets buried in his chest. Rouge joins as well, and we all laugh and hug. We stop as notice Sonic hasn't joined the hug. Sonic sighs and he walks up to us with his big arms and he hug around all of us and squeezes us hard.

After Sonic's death grip we all pack our instruments up, that we have to take with us. I look around the room as everyone gets ready and I look at the stage we practiced on repeatedly.

I think as everyone looks at me with their belongs in hand. I turn my back to them, and I lead the way walking out of the rehearsal room with them following me. We walk upstairs and then we head out to the parking lot.
"Man, this drive is going to be so long." Sonic says as he pulls his suitcase.
"It will be nice to get away from school though for the weekend! Hopefully, they have great food in Ginza." Knuckles says patting Sonic on the back hard.
"Yeah! I've never been to Ginza, but I heard it's really nice. They have big theaters and the nighttime life pretty cool." Tails says walking up to the boys.
"I just hope they have a good bed at the hotel we are staying at." Sonic says and yawns.
"Sonic you are always tired. Wake up!" Tails shaking Sonic back and forth and Knuckles joins in on trying to make Sonic stay awake.
I smile at them and then Rouge and Blaze both walk up beside me.
"I can't believe competition came so fast… it only seems like yesterday we were in our old club room with no room to play, practice." Rouge says and I smile softly as I think about the memory.
"Yes! I'm so proud of you guys! And I am going to be there as well so I'm glad I can support!" Blaze says as we near the exit.
"Yay! Thanks for coming, Blaze." I say and Blaze gives me a side hug.
Suddenly run into the back of someone and I see that it is Tails.
"Oh- Sorry Tails- "
I look over at Tails and his face is in pure shock as he stares ahead at the door that is open. I look at the rest of the boys and everyone looks shocked and then they all turn to me with scared expressions.
"A-A-Amy." Tails grabbing my shoulders in fear.
"…what?" I ask as I can't understand what is going on.
"Hm? What is going on?" Rouge says as she tries to look past them as well.
All the boys grab my arms and I freak out as they all seem afraid. I get pulled through and they push me out the door first. I stumble a bit and I look up slowly.
"GOOD LUCK 4 TIMES DIFFERENT!" Yells a big crowd of people that were mainly students, teachers, and even some random fans that didn't go to our school were here to see us off.
I gasp as I look everyone in fan shirts on and they have posters without band name on them. I look ahead and I see they decorated our minibus we were taking with yellow, pink and blue streamers with balloons hanging on the top of it.
I take another step and I feel my leg shake as so many people were cheering us on. A blush rises on my face and then I feel bodies get pushed behind me. I turn around to see Tails, Sonic, and Knuckles standing straight up like statues as everyone cheers for us and Rouge comes around them and grabs my hand.
"Guys calm down. Let's just thank them!" Rouge says bringing us all back to life.
Rouge shoves me and I snap out of it and I bow immediately at everyone. The rest of group does it too and we all speak at the same time.
"Thank you for supporting us!" We all say, and everyone starts to cheer again.
I take a deep breath and I lead the way for us to walk down through the tunnel of people. Everyone pops confetti poppers and throws some confetti on us as we walk down. Many compliments get thrown our way as well as we walk through the supportive fans.
"Good luck guys!"

I smile brightly as everyone positive comments make me feel happy. I start to look at everyone and I thank them. Someone even puts leis on us as we get close to the bus.
"THE ROYAL COURT IS HERE!" I heard a familiar voice yell as we get close to the bus.
We all make it to the bus, and we see our super fans in front. They roll out red carpet and I look down as it touches my shoes. Big appears to the front and he starts to blow a horn. I blush as there is support is a bit too much.
"WE THE SUPER FAN CLUB OF "4 TIMES DIFFERENT" WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BATTLE! WE ARE SURE YOU GUYS WILL BRING THE WIN BACK HOME." Big yells and then they all bow.

Some fan members move up and they take our bags and place them in the car.
"Uh- Guys its okay really!" I say but they still take my bag and put it under the bus where the extra storage was.
Rose petals starts to get thrown above us and Knuckles walks around us to unlock the minibus.
I turn back to Rogue and Tails and I smile at them.
"This is insane. I didn't even know they were going to do this!" I say as a fan waves at me and I wave back them.
"Yeah, that didn't even do this last year." Rouge says and then I look at Tails who is still kind of freaking out.
"So-So much people. It's crazy" Tails says inching closer to me and grabbing my wrist in fear.
I laugh and I pat Tails head. I suddenly notice that Sonic isn't here, and I look behind Tails to see that people are asking to take pictures with him. A woman gives him a big gift bag of things and Sonic blushes and thanks her and he practically runs up too us.
"Haha! Sonic you have so many fans!" I say to him and Sonic sighs.
"I think I just took 300 pictures with almost everyone here." Sonic says and then he stares at Tails.
"HEY, YOU LEFT ME BACK THERE!" Sonic yells.
Tails jumps in fear and the he turns around to Sonic.
"Fear Sonic. FEAR!" Tails exclaims and then I pat Tails on the back.
"It's okay ha-ha. Let's go."
The bus opens and all the fans around us start to crowd us as we walk on the bus. The cheers continue as we step up the stairs on the minibus.
I look around the minibus and they have 4 separate blue seat sections with two seats to a section. The floor of the minibus was blue as well and it came with big long tinted windows that had curtains as well.
"Woah!" Tails says as he gets on the bus and Sonic looks around as well.
"This is so nice!" I say turning back to them.
"It really is!" Rouge says and Knuckles starts the minibus.
We feel the vibrations of the bus and we all look at each other. I am sure that all of our hearts are pounding out of our chest as we come with more a realization that we are about to compete. Tails pulls his fist out and we all look at it and we do the same.
"We-We can do this!" Tails says and we all nod our head.
"LET'S DO THIS!" We all yell together and the people outside start too yell and cheer louder.
We all turn to see them still cheering us on and I walk down the bus and to see everyone who is cheering for us.
"WE PROMISE TO BRING BACK THE WIN! BELIEVE IT!" I yell and everyone goes crazy again.
I wave at them once more and then I walk back on the bus. Everyone has taken their seat. Knuckles and Rouge are sitting up front in a private section of the minibus as a curtain was covering it, Tails sat on the front right side and Sonic middle left side which left me sitting in back right side of the minibus.
I pass them and place my bag down on the seat. I open it and I look for my extra clothes that I was going to change into.
"HEY!" I yell scaring everyone on the bus.
"EVERYONE GET CHANGED. PUT ON YOUR BAND SHIRT AND I'M GETTING CHANGED! DON'T LOOK!" I say and everyone looks forward.
I make eye contact with Sonic and he slowly looks away and yawns.
"Idiot." I think to myself as I change into some comfortable clothes.
"I'm changing too. Don't take any pictures of me, since you all are creeps." Sonic says and he stand and takes his shirt off.
Tails pulls his phone out instantly and takes a picture of Sonic making Sonic yell at Tails. Tails and Sonic start to argue back and I start to pull my school pants down as I watch Sonic yell and I blush as I watch his hand grab Tails shirt and the veins appear in his arms. I smile as the shirt look so nice and then I look up again to see Sonic putting his shirt on as well. Sonic then sits in his seat and throws a blanket over his head. I frown at him and then I look at Tails and I see that he has his earphones in, and he is air drumming to the song we have to play. I slowly sit in my seat and the minibus starts to take off.
I look out the window as we pull away from our fans and we soon exit the parking lot and we start to head out in the street. I take my phone out and I open it too see I have many messages.
I open the first one and I see it's from Blaze.
"Hey! I don't even know if you realized that I disappeared, but I am going to be up there with Cosmo tomorrow to support you guys! Make sure you all get well rested and stay focused!" Blaze texts and I text her back.
"You bet! And can't wait to see you there!"
I look at other messages and I notice there is one from Sonia.
"Manic and I will be there! Don't worry Sonic explained the situation about you and him so we won't say anything to give anything away!" Sonic texts and I blush a bit as I respond to her.
"Haha, thanks and can't wait to see you guys!"
"Heading there with Blaze tomorrow, I think she already told you that she was, but she was also talking about your secret boyfriend lol. Can't wait to see how you handle that. Other than that, I can't wait to see what you learned for me and how you put it out for everyone to see. Good luck." Cosmo texts and I blush slightly as I remember my jealous feeling.

I look at the other texts and from D'Coolette and Cream and I respond back to them as they wish us good luck. I sigh as I look out the window to see us getting on the interstate. I suddenly get another message that makes me look down to my phone.
"I saw on your band page that you guys were having a competition today at Ginza. I know you guys are going turn that shit out, so I don't think you need me to say good luck." Texts Scourge.
"Thanks Scourge, we will do our best!" I text and then I stare at the message a bit.
"Maybe I- "
"Here we go guys!" Knuckles yells from the front cutting me from my train of thought and Rouge opens the curtains as they are both changed into the shirts and comfortable clothing.
The tires hit the interstate entrance and we combine with the other cars going to their location and Knuckles picks up the speed as we take the long ride to Ginza.
Half of the ride I talk to Tails, Rouge, and Knuckles about anything and the competition. As we talk, I sometimes stop as I hear Sonic snore or sneeze as he sleeps under a blanket, he brought with him. I frown as he is missing out on team bonding and I pull out my phone.
"WAKE UP. WAKE UP. WAKE UP!" I text Sonic and then I watch him from afar as he jumps in his cover and then I watch him move a bit.
I see a light shown from under his cover and he looks at it for a moment. Suddenly, my phone vibrates, and I look down to it.
"no." Sonic texts and I stand up immediately.
I walk over to Sonic angrily and Knuckles hits a bump that causes me to fall on Sonic. I catch myself by moving arm out and as I try to stop myself from completely falling on my face. My hands hits something and the bus bounces again making me fall onto Sonic even more.

"TEAM BONDING!" I say and Sonic shakes his head and sighs as he goes back to looking outside.

"MIDGET?! HEY, THIS MIDGET CAN SHOVE HER FOOT UP YOUR LOOSE- "Sonic covers my mouth as I continue to cuss her out and they all laugh at me as they watch me get silenced.

"Anyways, see you guys at the competition. I hope you practiced because we aren't letting you win like last time." Tikal says.

They walk away but before they do Tikal turns around one more time and looks at Cream who is holding Tails hand.
"Also Cream, don't be late. As soon as you wake up, I better see you. "Tikal says and Cream blushes and nods her head.
"Yes mam!" she says, and Tikal looks at me one more time and scoffs.
I try to jump out of Sonic's hand but Rouge bonks me on the head hard and tears come out of my eyes. Sonic lets me go as they leave, and I rub my head.

"Since Tails and Cream are in a room and Knuckles and I are in one… do you guys want to come in our room, so no one is alone? Amy can sleep in the pullout bed and Sonic can sleep on the floor." Rouge says and I smile bright at her idea.
"Yes!" I say and Sonic yawns.
"I don't care. Can we just go." Sonic says.
I scold Sonic for his attitude as we walk up to the main desk and we obtain our keys even though we were all staying in one room. We head to the elevator and Rouge clicks the "up" button. We wait for a moment and then it opens letting some people out and then we step in. Sonic and I step in first as we are in the back and Rouge and Knuckles stand in front of us. Rouge hits a button the door closes.

"Okay, guys… I'm about to go pass out." Rouge says and then walks up to Sonic.
"What." He says as he lets our suitcases go by the couch.

"Okay! Good night!" Rouge says and she walks away and closes the door to the bedroom.

"Let's get the sheets." Sonic says as he yawns and moves past me.
He opens the closet and pulls the sheets out for the couch. He also grabs the extra pillows inside and then he looks at me with his hands full.
"Are you helping?" he asks, and I blush and nod my head.

He hands me a sheet and I take it from him. I walk over to the pull-out couch and I throw the sheet on it. I move all around as I get the sides to go under the mattress and then Sonic throws another sheet at me. I put that on as well and then I stand up.
Sonic comes around and puts the comforter on the bed and then two pillows. Sonic yawns and takes his shoes off and I do the same as I sit on the opposite side of the bed taking my shoes off. I hear Sonic stand up and I turn around to watch him walk.
"I'm turning the light off." He says giving me a warning.
The lights go off and the only light coming into the room was the from the bright lights from the city outside. I yawn and I climb into the bed and I pull the covers over my body. I close my eyes until I hear Sonic's footsteps coming closer to me. I clench my sheets as Sonic gets closer to me and for some reason my heart is pounding out of my chest.
"What's going on with me. Calm down heart." I think as his footsteps echo in the room.

"Well, maybe we can't tell them now but after this is over. Then maybe… I can bring it up." I say and Sonic eyes light up.

"I don't know how but- um. I guess I'll figure it out- "

"I just broke the rules and as a leader, that's almost the worst thing you can do. It makes me a hypocrite to my band members, and I don't want to be that kind of leader." I say
"Even though I already am." I say as I look down at my fingers.
"Well… we can tell them together." Sonic says grabbing my hand.
"I broke them too and as a band member, I messed up there trust as well." Sonic says and my eyes glisten as I look at him.
"Together remember?" he says to me and I feel my heart flutter as I look at him.
"Right… together."
