Dabi glanced at his phone.

It'd been too quiet.

Usually Kagome would have texted him something by now. Their rescue exercises weren't supposed to have been anything too difficult. Typically she'd have shot him a message by this point. She'd gotten bad about sending him messages during class. It was a habit he wasn't about to break her from any time soon either. It was better if he knew what was going on while she was at the school.

For better or worse, U.A. was a pillar in this society. The school represented the current age of heroes and the ideology they embodied. If villains wanted to strike out against society, the school would be high on their list of targets.

Kagome was no exception to that rule.

He glanced at the blank message he'd left open.

Should he call her?

Screw it, with the reporters busting in like they did earlier, it'd be best to play things safely.

Dabi went through his recent calls and swiftly dialed her contact once more. The phone rang once then twice before it was sent directly to voicemail.

His finger twitched.

That wasn't a whole lot of information to go off of. Kagome would typically let the whole thing ring in class. Which meant that she'd taken the chance to silence her phone this time.

His eyes thinned at the thought.

Something was happening at the school.

Something that involved Kagome.

His fingers flexed.

It looked like he'd have to go there on his own after all.
