The sky's unrelenting blue continued, the only clouds in sight being the high beyond imagination. The waves were making music along with the gusts of wind blowing inland. The palm trees and their leaves were dancing in the wind. Nothing disturbed the pure, white sand of the tropical beach.

As the day moved on, the sky started to get a hint of yellow. As the group discussed earlier, the cruise ship pulled back out into the ocean with the Manaphy and Slowking on board.

The Flareon with white fur and gray fluff stayed waving to them from onshore before walking down the length of the beach. The large amount fluff on the top of his head was braided back into a fishtail braid.

On his forehead, he was wearing a decently tight-fitting headband with a small object pinned into it. A camera for live-streaming his point of view, resting just above his eyes. It was accompanied by the small earpiece he had in his right ear.

There wasn't a guarantee for success at all that the live-stream would make pokemon believe it, but the Slowking insisted that they try it. They had multiple streams on all sorts of platforms Light wasn't even familiar with, and their communication could be heard on it, too.

They had set up cameras in different trees and on the boat as well to get every angle available. The Slowking would be managing it all from the boat while the Manaphy would be in the water ready with her harpoon.

Light didn't know why they happened to have this stuff on board, but they seemed to have a lot of strange things on board.

The spot they picked was an area of the beach that had trees further back than usual. The Flareon sat down on the ground letting the wind pass through his fur, focusing on keeping calm. He watched the ship stop moving in the distance and sit calmly among the waves.

As the yellow in the sky intensified, the Slowking's voice came through his earpiece. "Stream's started. How do you feel?"

"Scared..." Light admitted. "Angry. Ready and not."

"That's life for you," Slowking huffed. "Beautiful, yeah?"

"Is what it is." Light said. "Well, I think I'm all set here."

"I'll update you throughout on how many viewers we have," Slowking said. "Good luck."

Light continued to watched the sea in front of him. The wind was growing strange as time passed, trying to decide which direction to blow in.

Red started to appear in the sky, and beautiful pink followed soon after. Instead of towards land, wind was starting to blow out to sea.

The clouds were disappearing over the horizon moving on, but a streak of light appeared from a tall, fluffy cloud. Light stared at it for a short moment and then stood up.

The Flareon started to stretch. By the time he could see a dot in the sky, he had brought his legs up all the way up to his head and back multiple times and had cracked his back.

Its movement was starting to become visible in the sky. It was heading straight downwards at huge speed as if it was a meteor.

Just over the horizon, it swerved up as it was reaching the ocean creating a huge wall of steam. The steam was behind it as it started to grow bigger against the background. It was very slow, but exponential.

"You've got about a minute," Slowking's voice said.

"It can't endure crashing into me like that," Light responded. "I'm still good. Be careful about Jewel in the water, though."

"You be careful about the wind. It's going about one-fifty."

"Thanks for the heads-up," Light said.

"Bless your heart, young lad."

The pokemon was about only a mile away now. The Flareon rooted all four limbs hard into the sand, hoping it would hold. He only had a few seconds left now.

The white dragon swerved down sending water up and back up just in front of the beach. The action of stretching out its wings sent steam and droplets of water over the whole expanse of the beach.

Despite this, Light managed to keep his feet in the sand. It stopped just a tad too far away from the beach to blow much sand. It set itself down roughly, landing with a large boom with it's feet still completely covered by the water.

The burns across it's body had gotten worse. The tears in its wings had their edges burnt brown. It was had an awkward, hurt and confident walk. When its feet were out of the water, they were surrounded by steam and still had an eerie glow from the heat.

"One thousand viewers," Slowking reported.

Light didn't plan or feel the need to say anything. Reshiram paused, staring back at him. It gained an intense look in its eyes.

"Reflecting on your failure?" Reshiram said, "But why here? I already made you the perfect place. A filthy graveyard."

"I've thought about it enough," Light said. "And you're not my failure."

"I always hated liars."

Reshiram raised its body and flapped its wings in Light's direction. Glas spikes erupted from the sand, going on either side of him. Light was suddenly in a tunnel, with Reshiram on one side and palm trees on the other.

"Thirty thousand viewers," Slowking reported. "Jewel's waiting and ready. If you need her badly and can't talk, send a small fire up."

Light didn't respond to the Slowking this time. Reshiram wasn't moving again yet, but was clearly going to speak. It was suppressing a tiny smile that was trying to creep onto its face.

"Now your failure can be true," Reshiram said. "Now, you are finished."

"One hundred thousand," Slowking reported. "Authorities already are on their way."

The gray and white Flareon's body started to glow from the energy he was putting into his muscles.

Reshriam started to move again and stepped forward once. It confidently raised a wing and brought it down in an arc along the ground. The Flareon got up on his legs and shoulder bashed straight through the the arc of glass, keeping energy blazing through his fur to keep himself from getting cut.

When Reshiram finished the attack, it was surprised that he was still standing and not in any good form. The Flareon darted forward and slammed it with the other shoulder as hard as he could.

Reshiram only looked like it got gently pushed. It kicked Light like a pebble and sent him airborne into a tree. Light hit the tree on his back, losing air in his lungs and falling on the ground while Reshiram advanced.

"One million. Light, you need to push him back," Slowking said. "Put your back into it."

"Bold of you assume it's not broken..." Light said struggling.

The Flareon got a bit of a horrified look in his blue and white eyes. Reshiram had move forward, and brought its foot into the air above him. The shadow of the night sky and Reshiram both started to come over his face at once.

He got his legs under him and his arms in the air in the best position he could.

Reshiram stomped. The tree trunk the Flareon had his weight on gave way.

"Light, look straight. Get up," Slowking ordered. "Now! Get! Up! Now!"

The Flareon's vision cleared to see the bottom of Reshiram's foot again. He brought his arms in front of himself and took another one. The stinging pain was new to him.

Reshiram continued to stomp down screaming for him to die. He was pushed deeper into the sand, feeling like he would die to the pressure. After yet another, Reshiram paused catching its breath loudly.

"One and a half million," Slowking reported. "Light! Please!"

"I bet you think I can't tell what you're doing!" Reshiram roared. "I can feel the creatures watching us. Did you think your death would inspire them?"

The Reshiram bent down to look at Light's pained face.

"That you would make them brave? That they'd want to fight me!?" Reshiram questioned angrily. "I'm the death they're all hoping for. Wishing for! You can tell they want it by how your kind hurts itself so willingly. I'm the merciful, swift end of their dreams."

The Flareon pushed with his arms enough to get the weight off of his chest and take in air he needed badly. Reshiram leaned in even closer to the point where Light could feel it's breathing.

"Three million!" Slowking said. "Light! Focus!"

"I'm more connected to others than you ever will be. I can feel emotions connected to me all across the globe, and not a single one of their owners out of my reach. I can see your world's leaders sitting in their golden chairs and in their offices. Petrified. A cold chill just ran up a Valorian general's brittle, pathetic spine."

Reshiram brought its foot up a short distance and brought red-hot glass up into the air with glowing, blue eyes. The glass formed on the bottom of it sloppily. Light's heart jumped.

Reshiram stomped.

Light protected himself the best he could. Tears flung off of his face immediately from the pain that started in his leg.

"Your fathers just started screaming. Neither one of them can calm down, and Jonathan just passed out on the floor hearing your scream. Your mother feels deep disappointment that she couldn't make a stronger son. Too selfish to think about what she could've done if she actually kept you around."

The Flareon's arm and head fell to the ground. He couldn't fully register what Reshiram was saying, and his body wasn't responding to anything but pain anymore.

The weight lifted off of his body again, but an explosion sounded before anything else could happen. Light could feel the tremors of the Reshiram stumbling and moving back.

The different colored lights of attacks soared against the darkening sky. There was movement all around him he couldn't distinguish.

"Ten million!" Slowking half-yelled. "Jewel!"

"I see it!" Jewel's voice replied.

The pressure continued to the point where Light could hear Reshiram exerting itself. The peaceful pattern of the waves was broken as it was forced somewhat into the water.

Light laid there blankly, but couldn't help being silently impressed. He could hear the powerful harpoon strike, accompanied by Jewel's war cry and Reshiram's scream. It was only a few seconds until he heard the gusts of wind from Reshiram taking off into the sky.

Light felt cold and sleepy. The Manaphy came to his side while the Slowking was talking his earpiece, but he couldn't properly hear either of them.

Jewel put her hand on his shoulder, giving some kind of reassurance. He gave in to the need to rest.
