Before we knew it, it was the day of our wedding. Jas and I weren't allowed to see each other until I'm walking down the aisle, of course. Alice was doing my makeup when suddenly, Rosalie walked in.
"You need any help? I could do her hair?" I laugh because Rosalie has always hated me. "Please, I'm not offended by who you chose as your stylist." She continued.
"Of course, you can help!" Alice replied. A few minutes later and my hair is in a beautiful bun. Suddenly, my mother walked in.
"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed in excitement. "You look so beautiful!" She continued. Suddenly, they all left to chat about something and I was left alone.
I was getting married...I was getting married...I was getting married! The more I thought about it, the more nervous I got. I love Jasper with every fiber of my being, but was I ready to get married?
Jasper's POV:
I felt calm about the wedding somehow, I didn't have wedding jitters. Suddenly, a wave of nervousness overcame me. I knew it was me so I started ruling people out. It wasn't Emmett or Tula, they hadn't even bothered to attend the ceremony, so I knew it wasn't them. Esme and Carlisle were content, so I knew it wasn't them. Alice was ecstatic so it definitely wasn't her. That left one person...Tammy. I started to worry. What if she was having second thoughts? What if she didn't want to marry me anymore?! I calmed myself down. She was happy about the wedding, maybe it was just her wedding jitters? I decided to go check on her, even though I knew Alice would shove me out.
Tammy's POV:
I was brought out of my thoughts by someone knocking on the door. "Who is it?!" I yelled.
"It's Jasper, can I come in sweetheart?" I was shocked to hear his voice, but I knew my answer.
"Of course, Jas!" And there he was, stood in a black tuxedo and crystal white shirt underneath it. He looked god-like.
"Wow, Jas. You look amazing!"
"Thank you, Tammy. You look a hundred times better than me though!" He giggled.
"Anyway, I came in because I sensed you were nervous about something."
"Oh, yeah. Just wedding jitters."
"Is that all?" I hesitated for a moment.
"I just...I don't know if I'm ready yet." His face fell so I quickly added "I love you with every fiber of my being."
"I know you do." His face was calm, but I could see the pain in his eyes.
"It's okay Jas, don't feel downhearted." I kissed his forehead, which immediately calmed him. Suddenly, Alice bustled into the room, and she quite literally screamed.
"Oh no, you don't! Get out, Jasper!"
"But Alice, I haven't seen Tammy for 6 days now!"
"You'll deal with it!"
"Please, please, please, let him stay," I begged. I used my most convincing tone with her.
"Fine." Alice finally gave in. Jasper and I rejoiced.
"Thank you so much, Alice!" We said simultaneously. After an hour of chatting, Alice shooed Jasper out so I could put my dress on.
"Go, go, go!"
"Okay, okay, I'm going!" After Jasper left, Alice went to get my dress. When Alice returned the dress was concealed by a bag. When Alice removed the bag, I was in awe. My dress is amazing! The dress had a line that was over my spine, which was decorated with jewels. It showed my back except for the swirls that were around the edges of the gap. It has long sleeves; the dress skirt was very long and the train was even longer! I got into the dress and it was somehow...easy to get into. Next was the veil. The veil was very long but I loved it. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Alice yelled.
"It's Jasper, can I come in?"
"N-" I glared at her "Yes!" Jasper entered the room and stopped dead in his tracks. His face was in literal awe.
"Tammy, you look amazing!"
"Thank you, sweetie."
"It's okay." Before we could say anything more, Carlisle came into the room.
"It's time for Jasper to go to the alter." And without further discussion, Jasper left. Before I knew it, it was time for me to walk down the aisle. I was nervous but I knew this was what I wanted.
"It's time!" Alice yelled excitedly. I walked down the aisle to the altar and there he was looking as handsome as ever. Carlisle was doing the ceremony.
"The couple has decided to do their own vows," Carlisle said formally. "Jasper, would you like to start?"
"You all know I'm not very good at speaking so my vows will be very different." The start of Jasper's vows confused me. Until he started singing.
"Heartbeats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave?
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more." I joined in:
"I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
One step closer
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more." A smile formed on his face and I knew he enjoyed our "duet." Everyone in the room were silent. Each and every one of their faces had plastered an enormous smile.
"Tammy, would you like to say your vows now?" I nodded.
"When I first learned I was going to write my own vows, I panicked. I looked at the paper for hours, no words coming to mind. For in truth, there is no way to describe the way I feel about you. From the moment I met you, I was changed. For the first time, I wanted someone's attention on me. Only yours, though. The first thing I noticed about you was your amazing good looks and your striking eyes. But it was your kindness, your attentiveness, your sincerity, and your ability to keep saving me from disaster time and time again, that made me fall in love with you. Although that is a poor way of saying it. Because there are no words that encompass, the way I feel about you. I give you my body, heart, and soul. I have no use for them anyway without you. I, Tammy Marie Henriques, take you Jasper Anthony Hale to be my beloved husband, to have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow andin joy, in good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this, from my heart, for all of the days of our lives."
He looked...speechless.
"Well, that was certainly better than mine." He eventually said. I smiled because he used his soft tone.
"Do you, Jasper Anthony Hale, take Tammy Marie Henriques to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Carlisle finally said.
"I do."
"And do you, Tammy Marie Henriques, take Jasper Anthony Hale to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
All eyes were on me, the pressure was building up, but I knew my answer.
"I do."
"You now may kiss the bride." Without hesitation, Jasper kissed me.
