-Katniss' POV-
After I ran off into the woods, I could see some ruins up ahead. I pointed this out to Peeta, who was picking herbs and roots. We slowly walked toward the destroyed buildings. Were these made for the Games, or were they originally thriving with citizens and workers, a part of Panem? I drew my bow, careful of any ambushers. Thankfully, it looked like nobody found saw us. I treaded lightly through the stone, picking up loot as we went along. After that, we examined the terrain. The woods looked just like the woods back home in District 12. Heck, maybe these trees were part of the same forest. As i pondered this, I heard an unsheathing of a sword, and I immediately nocked an arrow. Peeta drew his knife. I saw Thalia and Piper there, with Nico bringing up the rear. "Guys! How the hell did you get here!?" I exclaimed. Piper smiled. "We have our ways," she grinned. "But why are you here?" asked Peeta.
Thalia explained there plan, with Nico and Piper chiming in at times. Soon we understood. I took off the medallion I was wearing, and and I tossed it in the air. When I caught it, it became Clarisse's electric spear. Peeta was still ogling at it.
When nightfall came, I looked for game. I shot two rabbits, retreated slowly from a faraway tracker jacker nest, caught a squirrel with a trap, shot a couple birds, and collected plenty of herbs, roots, plants, and other edible entities. I was accompanied by Thalia, whose archery skills matched mine. We managed to capture a tribute, but Thalia said not to kill her. We would all get our revenge on the Capitol soon enough. I was still suspicious of the tribute, who was from District 4, but I agreed. After some more searching, the cannons came. Seven cannon shots filled the silence. One tribute from District 3, one from 5, both tributes from 6, one tribute from 8, and both tributes from 10. After that, the anthem played, and silence. I stared at the stars for a bit, then turned. I hesitated. There was a bunch of carvings on an oak tree. It was faint, maybe several years old, bit I could see it clearly. Thalia shined her flashlight on it. The first one looked like a ram's head. The second looked like a trident. The third, a mockingjay inside a ring, its wings outstretched, dodging an arrow. The fourth, a triangle, with a line and a circle inside. The next one was a ring enclosing intricate designs I didn't know how to describe. The next was a some sort of Chinese-like character. The next carving looked like three lines. The one after that looked like a next was a ring with a bunch of flames inside. The last carving looked like a intricate maze. I took a quick glance at Thalia to see her reaction, and she was staring at the trident, her eyes wide and her mouth open slightly.
Hehehe. Cliffhangers, I love them! Anyways, I'm going to do a crossover between Twilight, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Divergent, The Mortal Instrument, The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Lord of The Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Hobbit.
