At the same time…
Summer Bay – Braxton House – The Flat
Cassie had just finished taking the disc out of the DVD player and as she went to sit back down, she handed it to Heath.
"I'm sorry for dumping all this on you." Heath suddenly says to her.
Shaking her head, Cassie tells Heath: "No, don't be sorry. I'm here to help Heath."
"It's just a shock seeing the video, seeing Bianca. She looks so happy. So beautiful." Heath continues as he glances around the flat "This is where we were meant to spend the rest of lives together. It's were I feel close to her."
Cassie who had been listening to what Heath was saying, said: "I understand that, I really do Heath. Right now, your health is the most important thing."
"Important to who?"
Cassie sighs: "To me and to your family, they're really worried about you especially Brax."
"Alright if it makes everyone feel happier." Heath looks away from her "Tell them to send the medication here."
"You need more than that, you need to go to hospital." Cassie informs him.
"Cass, don't argue please." Heath says cutting her off.
With that Heath slowly pushes himself up and walks towards the bedroom part of the flat, leaving Cassie just sitting on the sofa.
(3:28pm) 5 minutes later…
Summer Bay – Surf Club – Main Area
Brax was sat with Sally, Dan, Leah, Irene and Alf talking.
"So, the immunosuppressants help to stop an infection taking hold and destroying the liver. Then there's his anti-rejection meds." Brax says just as Leah hands him a drink "If he stops taking those…"
"His liver could pack it in." Dan says as he also takes the drink that Leah had offered him "What can you do mate, it's his choice."
"Dan, how are you?" Sally asks the man who had recently lost his brother "With everything that's been happening, I've hardly had the chance to even speak to you about Peter."
"No, I'm alright. I'm getting there thanks."
"I hear the police want to give him a memorial service." Alf suddenly says after hearing some chatter amongst some of police officers who had used the Surf Club lately.
"Yeah, a few people have shown some interest."
"Yeah, they should Dan." Irene agrees with the idea "Everybody wants to show how respected he was in the community."
"Thanks." Dan says with a smile.
Just then out of the corner of her eye Leah spots Amanda entering the Surf Club.
Sighing as she approached them all, Amanda asked: "Has anyone heard anything yet?"
"No not yet." Alf replies as he closes the book from the juice bar.
"I wanted to know your opinion." Amanda tells them which gets everyone's attention "I've been thinking of a way to commemorate our lost loved ones and I wanted to know what you thought of a morning tea?"
"Excuse me?" Ricky says as she joins the group of people.
"Why I thought it was a good way of everyone coming together, to talk about them you know. To perhaps tell stories as I thought it might help ease the pain, we are all currently feeling."
"Kyle and my best friend are still alive. So are the others for that matter." Ricky points out to her not wanting to think of them all being dead.
"N no, I didn't mean that they're not." Amanda says quickly shaking her head "I just thought it might be a goo…"
"And they're going to be found and when they are, they're going to bring them home."
"Ricky, I didn't mean that they're not. I I…"
"We haven't given up hope." Ricky tells her.
"I I'm sorry." Amanda says before rushing off.
Everyone else just sits there in silence as they try to take in what had just been said.
(3:45pm) 17 minutes later…
Summer Bay – Braxton House – The Flat
Heath walks back over to the table and places the photo of him and Bianca back down.
Suddenly he feels a sharp pain in his side and his face scrunches up as he tries to suppress the noise that was trying to escape from his mouth.
"Heath that's it." Cassie says coming up behind him to try and help "We've got to take you back to the hospital."
"I've told you." Heath reminds Cassie as she pulls out a chair for him.
"Sit down. Look it's not just the medication, you need proper care."
"I'm not going."
"Why won't you let me help you?"
"What for?"
"So, that you don't catch an infection. So, your body doesn't reject your liver." Cassie points out "So, you don't die."
Heath doesn't say anything instead he just stares at the picture he had just placed back down.
"You've given up, haven't you?" Cassie asks the man as she sits down beside him at the table "Heath you can't."
Heath sighs: "Why not?"
"Because Bianca is ok. She is, all of them are including your brother."
Heath smiles a little bit at the thought of his brother still being alive with his health problems.
"Look, even if they don't come home you still have so much to live for."
"Like what?"
"Like your family and your job and me and the baby." Cassie starts listing everything "Remember last week, I almost panicked myself into premature labour and it's because of you that my baby's safe. Because you were there for me, I need you through this. I can't do it alone Heath. We need you."
With that Heath just looks at Cassie once she had finished speaking and a single tear escapes from one of his eyes.
