Hi guys. This might be a bit emotional. Hope you keep reading. Thanks for reading this far. Thanks. :)
The kittens were exhausted. They had been running for miles and now they were all worn out miles away from home. Well that's what they thought anyway.
"I can't keep going." Victoria moaned.
"Come on sis. It's not too far." Misto urged.
"Maybe we should stop for a little bit." Jemima said.
"No we have to keep going." Misto said, trying to get everyone to keep moving.
Misto was right. They rounded the next corner and there it was. Finally, the junkyard was in sight. They were finally home and it felt a lot better when they finally got to the gates.
"Finally." Misto whispered relieved.
"I told you we'd get there." Carbucketty chuckled.
Misto put his paws on his hips and gave Carbucketty a scowl. Carbucketty stifles his laughter. The others were also keeping back laughter at Misto and his funny ways.
Misto led the way into the junkyard and the other kittens followed. The junkyard was very quiet as they entered but as it was the middle of the night they weren't surprised. They got into the centre of the junkyard and snuggled together for warmth until someone noticed them. A crash came from behind them, they all stood to attention but soon calmed down when they realised they were home.
"Misto? Jem? Victoria!" Demeter said running towards them opened armed.
The kittens snuggled into their mothers warm fur. It was so good to feel this again. Carbucketty, Exotica and Mungojerrie stayed back so the four cats could have their own space. The rest of the cats soon joined them in the centre hugging all of the kittens and laughing/crying as the kittens told the story of how they were rescued.
"It's good to have you back." Tugger chuckled.
"Uncle Tugger are you crying?" Jemima asked him.
"No just have something in my eye." Tugger wiped his eyes.
Bomburlina took him in for a hug. Skimble and Alonzo were next to congratulate the kittens on their rescue.
"It took us ages but we finally got there." Carbucketty sighed.
"We were worried sick!" Cassandra sighed.
"Well we got them back didn't we." Carbucketty tried to change her mind.
Cassandra shook her head. Carbucketty chuckled as he turned back to Victoria. They both smiled at each other, the rest of the kittens gave each other a little smile. Carbucketty and Victoria were always smiling at each other and even more so when they had been rescued.
"So you're back then?" Alonzo asked Mungojerrie.
"Yeah. if that's alright I mean." Mungojerrie said worried.
The rest of the adult cats looked at each other. None of them were very keen in taking Mungojerrie back. Rumpleteazer had been very descriptive in how he left her and no one wanted to upset her.
"I don't know." Asparagus said first.
"He helped in our rescue though." Victoria piped up.
"We should let Munkustrap decide that." Alonzo backed Asparagus up.
"Where is Munkustrap?" Demeter asked the kittens.
The kittens looked at each other. Misto wanted to say something but he didn't want to upset Demeter, especially now they were back.
"Well, don't you know?" Skimble asked them.
"No we don't." Carbucketty said before any of the others answered.
"Why?" Jenny asked them.
"He was right behind us." Jemima insisted.
"You mean he's still out there!" Bomburlina nearly shouted.
"He said he would catch up with us." Misto backed his sister.
"How long ago was that?" Jenny asked.
"An hour or so." Misto continued.
Alonzo and Tugger nodded at each other. They both left the group and went to go and find Munkustrap wherever he was. The kittens watched them go. Misto tried to go after them and join in with the search but Jenny pulled him back.
"Bed." Jenny said to the kittens.
"Do we have to?" The kittens all groaned.
"Yes!" The adult kittens said together.
The kittens stuck out their tongues and then went off to bed. Demeter and Bomburlina went after them to make sure they stayed in bed. Skimble and Asparagus were left in the centre of the junkyard as the others scattered.
"Those kittens!" Asparagus sighed.
"A little bit different from what we were like." Skimble chuckled.
"A bit?!"
"They're fine. They'll get under our control for some time as they get over all this." Skimble said.
"They'd better or they'll be very annoying."
"No change there then."
The two older toms laughed together. As they were now the oldest in the tribe they had seen it all. These kittens were nothing new even if they were a lot more energetic than most were.

Tugger and Alonzo were still searching for Munkustrap early the next morning. Misto had managed to sneak past Demeter and Bomburlina and was now waiting for the two toms to get back. He wanted to go out and find them but didn't want to make any more noise just in case he woke Demeter and Bomburlina again. Jemima sneaked up behind him.
"What are you looking at?" Jemima made Misto jump.
"Don't scare me like that!"
"Well you shouldn't be awake then should you?"
"Why are you awake then?"
"Because you are."
"Touche."
"Tugger and Alonzo will find him."
"I don't know this time Jem."
"Don't give up that easily."
"I'm not. Just not getting my hopes up."
"Help! Help somebody!" Alonzo's voice split through the night sky.
Both Jemima and Misto stood up to see what was going on. They looked back at their mother who was still asleep and ran out to join their uncles.

Alonzo and Tugger were carrying a limp Munkustrap in their arms. Munkustrap seemed very heavy when being unconscious. They needed to get to Jenny's den as quickly as they could so the kittens couldn't see them. Misto and Jemima had already seen them. They followed the two toms to Jennys den.
Jenny was waiting for the toms to come in. She is very used to Munkustrap coming in now since the fight with Macavity. Alonzo and Tugger laid Munkustrap down so Jenny could do a one over on him.
"Give me some space." She said waving Alonzo and Tugger away.
Alonzo and Tugger rolled their eyes but did what she said. They waited outside to see what to do next.
"Did you see his injuries?" Tugger whispered to Alonzo.
"I'm sure they're not that bad Tugger."
"It's just the last time we talked…"
"There was so much you wanted to say?"
"You read my mind."
"There's so much I want to say too."
"Hopefully we get to see him before…"
"Don't say stuff like that Tugger!"
"But what if he does?"
"Then he's lived a good life."
Tugger ignored Alonzo from there. Alonzo didn't take any notice. He just wanted to see his friend again. Misto and Jemima watched them from a distance waiting for them to go.
"When are they going to go?" Jemima said, getting frustrated.
"Just wait Jem!"
Jenny came out of the den just as Misto said this. She looked around and went up to Alonzo. Alonzo's breathing quickened as she whispered something in his and Tugger's ears. Misto and Jemima looked on as Alonzo nearly fell to the floor.
"Oh no." Misto whispered.
"He can't be.." Jemima said with a lump coming to her throat.
"He isn't."
Alonzo and Tugger rushed into Jennys den. Misto and Jemima looked at each other. Something was wrong. Very wrong!
