CHAPTER XXVII. PRIVATE SESSIONS

Lysistrata questioned whether or not she'd have the attention span to sit through an entire twenty four private sessions. In previous years, it was excusable for her to take breaks, but now that she was in charge, or half in charge rather, Lysistrata knew she had to be paying attention the entire time, something she worried would be challenging since sessions had the potential to be so utterly repetitive.

"I know you've been dreading this, but please try your best to be good," Clemensia grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes as they entered the room where they'd eventually observe the sessions, "It's going to be fun, I promise."

Clemmie was actually excited for the sessions, something Lysistrata honestly didn't understand since they were so utterly boring.

"What if we score them wrong?" Lysistrata pondered. She was genuinely concerned that she'd accidentally score somebody too high or too low and then people would be outraged, "And predicted placements also seem so stressful!"

Clemensia had suggested the addition of predicted placements for each of the Tributes and while Lysistrata originally did truly like the idea, she now worried that they'd get all their predictions wrong. The Games were supposed to be wild and unpredictable, right?

"It's more just us doing them for fun," Clemmie beamed, grabbing Lysistrata by the hand, "This part isn't supposed to be stressful."

Oh, but it was. They had tried to relieve some of the tension that morning but Coriolanus interrupted them and Lysistrata was still somewhat embarrassed. Clemensia wasn't at all which was certainly good for her, but Lysistrata just wanted to scream when Coriolanus knocked at the door while her hand was down Clemensia's shirt.

"I know, I know," Lysistrata gave in, knowing that her wife was always right about everything, "Maybe it will be fun."

"That's the attitude I like to hear," Clemensia gave her a kiss on the cheek before getting up to open the door that would allow all their assistants into their room. One by one they followed in, diverse in many ways, just as the girls wanted when they went out hiring. They filled the bleachers behind the two chairs that Clemensia and Lysistrata were sitting in and made small talk before Clemensia announced that it was time to get started.

"Bring out the first Tribute," Clemensia grabbed Lysistrata's hand before pressing a button that caused the door to light up.

Moments later, a somewhat slender boy with black hair and blue eyes entered the room and stood on the red X in the center, "Hello everyone! My name is Eros Fortuna and I'm from District 1. I'm eighteen years old and it's an honor to showcase what I know to all you beautiful people."

The assistants clapped as Lysistrata and Clemensia smiled. Perhaps this wouldn't be too awful.

Eros began his demonstration by pulling out one of the punching bags from the back of the room and putting it where he was previously standing. He began to beat it senseless, accurately making contact with wherever he said he would be making contact. His moves were definitely a bit messy, but they still made an impact though they didn't look as pretty as they could have looked. Next, Eros began to engage in two fights with a trainer, one of which with a sword and the other with his hands. He looked awkward but it was clear he was experienced. Surprisingly, Lysistrata was fascinated by his skill and she couldn't really take her eyes off of him. In fact, she didn't even notice that ten minutes had gone by seemingly in the blink of an eye.

"Once again, thank you!" Eros bowed as the timer beeped and everyone in the Gamemakers' room clapped.

"Well?" Lysistrata addressed the room, "What did you guys think?"

Eros Fortuna, District 1 Male

Age: 18

Score: 9

Session Notes: While Eros was an exciting first person to start the private sessions off with, he ultimately was the weakest out of his alliance. For his demonstration, Eros did a combination of martial arts and sword fighting, both of which he was skilled at. His style of martial arts felt very unpolished and more like a style of street fighting than the classical martial arts typically taught. It was a bit rough around the edges, but it was still impactful, accurate, and powerful. His swordword was also superb, he just didn't seem to have the best posture when he was fighting which could cause problems. He's rather fit, physically, and overall has incredible chances of survival since it can be assumed that he has good skills in that area like his allies.

Allies: Eros is a part of the Career Pack, and he seems to have fit in quite well. He hasn't been starting any drama, something which cannot be said for some of his allies, and he seems to be particularly close with his District Partner and Moira from District 2. He's also spent a bit of time with his mentor Sapphira Starlett, who he also appears to get along with. Overall, Eros should not have any problems with his allies in the arena, unless one of them decides to backstab him.

Interview Tips: Eros has an unusual line of work back home in District 1, so discussing that has the potential to be interesting. Additionally, he seems to be incredibly charismatic, and that can be expected to be showcased during his interview.

Predicted Placement: 6

Fila Ollaris, District 1 Female

Age: 18

Score: 10

Session Notes: Fila's session proved her to be the most serious competitor in the Games. She demonstrated a wide variety of skills, such as her ability to tie complicated knots in ropes, but she really shined when she began to showcase her abilities in martial arts. While she looks small and petite in stature, in terms of fighting, she is anything but that. She used only her body to fight off one of the trainers, and each of her hits landed with complete and perfect accuracy. Her most valuable physical asset is her legs, as she was able to disarm the trainer who was using a sword with only a single kick. She was also seen using a large wooden staff throughout the days of training, and she used it in this fight after demonstrating her fierce martial arts skills.

Allies: Like many would assume, Fila has taken her place in the Career Pack. The Pack as a whole seems unstable, but Fila doesn't appear to be contributing to any of the drama. She seems to be closest with her District Partner and Moira from District 2, though it is unlikely she has tension towards anybody, especially since Fila is taking a backseat position in the alliance.

Interview Tips: Fila was behaving rather drunkenly at the party on the first night, so asking about that may be entertaining. It is obvious that she is somebody who grew up with lots of restrictions placed on her as she has really let loose since arriving at the Capitol, another interesting possible topic of conversation.

Bellerophon "Bell" Cristos, District 2 Male

Age: 18

Score: 10

Session Notes: Bellerophon had an extremely interesting private session. Firstly, he began the display by stripping nearly naked, and while his primary evaluators were lesbians, it was still good for the laughs. Nudity aside, Bell is actually a very talented swordsman, effortlessly sparring with the trainers and making contact every time. When he fights, he dances a bit, making it entertaining to witness for anybody watching. He also demonstrated a proficient ability in classic wrestling which is a very underrated skill, especially when paired with a knife, another weapon Bell was skilled to perform with. While his abilities were arguably basic for a male from District 2, he had a certain flair that he added to everything he did which will surely improve his stature among sponsors.

Allies: Bellerophon is a part of the Career Pack, which shouldn't be at all surprising. While he seemed to go into training wanting to be the leader, he has since taken a backseat position and reluctantly so, causing some intense tension and arguments with Lana from District 4. He doesn't really have any close friends so to say, but he was seen being rather kind to Fila from District 1 at the party, although they haven't spoken much since.

Interview Tips: Do not be surprised if Bellerophon is naked or close during the interview since it appears to be a common thing for him. He'll surely charm a bunch of sponsors, but try to dig deeper with him and ask him about his home life.

Moira Mikkel, District 2 Female

Age: 18

Score: 10

Session Notes: Moira was able to successfully demonstrate a wide variety of talents today. While she did lack charisma, her talents made up for it in tenfold. Moira happens to be a skilled painter, and that was on full display today when she painted her body to effortlessly blend in with one of the walls. It was hyper realistic and fascinating, and had she not had hair, it would look like she was fully a part of the wall. Moria also proved herself to have talents beyond using a paintbrush when she grabbed a long sword and dueled with some of the trainers striking with immense accuracy and skill. She performed as though the knife was an extension of her arm, and it showed. One other thing Moria did that was somewhat amusing was that she cut off the heads of a bunch of dummies and then stacked them all in the shape of a pyramid. It was a dramatic display of abilities for sure.

Allies: Moira is a part of the Career Pack and doesn't seem to fit in with most of the group. She appears to be down for a majority of the time, and she only really speaks to the pair from District 1. She will definitely be a valuable asset in the alliance, it is just obvious that she is still trying to make herself known in it.

Interview Tips: Moira seems to be a sad individual, so the interview is an excellent time to get more than that out of her. It is advised that questions are asked regarding her life at home, as well as the events in her past which she doesn't really discuss much.

Predicted Placement: 5

Edison Montparnasse, District 3 Male

Age: 18

Score: 8

Session Notes: Edison's session was heartbreaking and upsetting for a variety of reasons. He attempted to beat up a dummy, and had moderate success, but his session really stood out due to his breakout about how he was sexually abused by his mentor Pascal Packard. His description of the multiple instances were extremely graphic and damaging. They won't be written here and a few tears were shed both in the booth and from Edison himself. It was promised to Edison that Pascal will be taken care of, and the Mentor interviews will be an opportune time for that to happen. At the conclusion of the session, Edison was asked what score he would like to receive. He requested a 12, but then settled on a 8, although his physical strength isn't worth that, he just deserves a boost in score due to the bravery he showed today.

Allies: Edison has entered an alliance with Challis from District 8 and Alarico from District 9. The three of them seem to be enjoying their time together quite thoroughly, often laughing and hugging each other during training. While there doesn't appear to be an extremely dominating force in the alliance, Edison has definitely taken the position of a ringleader of sorts.

Interview Tips: Surely, Edison will try to crack a few jokes during his interview, so it's advised to play into them. Perhaps a discussion on the hat he wears nearly all the time will be interesting, as well as his fifteen pet cats.

Predicted Placement: 13

Liana Taylor, District 3 Female

Age: 15

Score: 6

Session Notes: Judging by this session, it is clear that Liana is an extremely intellectual being, even though her demonstration was somewhat odd. Basically, Liana took one of the foam dummies and a knife and dissected it as though it was a real human being, casually reciting facts about the human body somewhat robotically. She pretended she was performing a real operation on a real person, and it was jarring and borderline horrific. Liana also demonstrated how she knew how to construct a bomb out of just about anything, but said she wouldn't during the session for the safety of everybody here. She also rattled off some impressive facts about nature. While she didn't prove to have any particular ability with a weapon, she did show that sometimes the smartest weapon can be one's brain.

Allies: Liana actually hasn't allied with anybody. She's been seen taking notes on people, but she appears content in the fact that she doesn't have any allies.

Interview Tips: Ms. Taylor seems rather socially awkward, so her interview may be hard to conduct so it is probably best to ask her questions on things she seems to personally know a lot about such as obviously science. Asking about family also seems safe here.

Predicted Placement: 14

Kingston Havlock, District 4 Male

Age: 18

Score: 10

Session Notes: Somewhat typical of one from District 4, Kingston used a trident during his session today. He was highly effective with his performance, but that is to be expected from a Career. He was startlingly accurate, which is again, expected. Nothing about Kingston and what he did was at all surprising, as he's essentially the stereotypical male Career, and unlike the other men in his alliance, he didn't do anything that was surprising but it was still a stunning display albeit boring.

Allies: Mr. Havlock is a part of the Career Pack and appears to be rather drawn to his District Partner, them being rather attached at the hip. He often follows her around and does errands for her, but he seems to be willing to do so. He is often seen gawking at Bellerophon from District 2, and he appears to be indifferent with the rest of the Pack. A physical altercation between him and Bellerophon seems more and more likely as the days go on.

Interview Tips: Kingston's sister recently died, so hearing about that could definitely be interesting. The topic may agitate him though so it is advised to handle it with care in order to minimize conflicts, though they are a bit inevitable when discussing death.

Predicted Placement: 4

Lana Lotus, District 4 Female

Age: 18

Score: 10

Session Notes: Another particularly interesting display came from Ms. Lana Lotus. Right away, her session was unique because she started it off suggesting a blessing to the sea. Us Gamemakers did not participate in said blessing which seemed to upset her, but she carried on anyways. She showed frightening ability with a cutlass, moving quickly and accurately with the weapon, and she had a wicked grin on her face. She also used a large staff for combat with one of the trainers and did some fist-fighting as well. Lana also displayed an impressive ability in camouflaging herself and identifying various natural resources. There isn't much to say either than that the odds appear to be stacked up in Ms. Lotus' favor.

Allies: Lana seems to have taken on the role of being the leader of the Career Pack, something she did by force. She appears to be causing a bit of trouble among her allies, but no serious business has occurred, though that could easily change in the arena. Kingston, her District Partner is extremely obedient to her every word, and often advocates on behalf of her. Besides that, Lana seems to have palpable control over the other Careers, albeit she has some tension with Bellerophon.

Interview Tips: Judging by the sea blessing she delivered at the beginning of her session, there are a lot of things to be uncovered about Lana Lotus. Whether or not they will be is debatable, but it is definitely worth asking, since it will make for good entertainment.

Predicted Placement: 3

Clancy Dietrich, District 5 Male

Age: 17

Score: 7

Session Notes: Clancy had a rather unconventional performance today. Instead of opting to use weapons right off the bat, something that is always common, Clancy decided to show off some mechanical skills. He successfully was able to build a working motor using the scraps in the back of the room, and he did so quite quickly. While it is unclear what exactly this motor of his does, it certainly worked. Clancy also used this time to demonstrate some physical skills, engaging in a fight with one of the trainers where he used a dagger. His performance with the weapon was slightly above average. His next move was to use his fists in a fight, which he was slightly better at, but not much. It was an overall impressive performance, though the arena usefulness of the motor is questionable.

Allies: Clancy has allied with his District Partner as well as Camber from District 6. He apparently knew Ares before arriving at the Capitol, and while they disliked each other then, they appear to be getting along better now save for a few arguments here and there. Camber fits into the alliance quite well, acting as the rational brain amidst the chaos. It is unlikely that there will be any issues within the triad.

Interview Tips: Clancy has made himself known for his somewhat unconventional worldview, so asking questions about that is sure to be interesting, as well as his friendship with Ares. He is apparently an uncle and proud of it, so he should be asked about his nephew for sure.

Predicted Placement: 8

Ares Krishnan, District 5 Female

Age: 17

Score: 8

Session Notes: Ares showcased incredible abilities today. Right off the bat, Ares rattled off nature facts, many of which were somewhat obscure. It's assumed that she knew these facts based on going to an esteemed school in 5, but it obviously is not something that can be confirmed. Ares also showed some moderate abilities with weapons. She was able to use a hatchet to attack targets both close up and afar, and her accuracy was somewhat decent. Ares also utilized a crossbow and fired at targets both moving and stationary, though again, it wasn't extremely accurate. Overall Ms. Krishnan demonstrated that she shows promise in surviving well in nature, and that she has enough weaponry abilities to get by for at least a few days in the arena.

Allies: Ares has chosen to ally with her District Partner as well as Camber from District 6. Being that she knew Clancy from home, she argues with him quite regularly, but it seems to be coming out of a place of love. She's sort of the leader of the alliance, though they all appear to be relatively equal, and it certainly seems like she has a soft spot for Camber and helping him to succeed.

Interview Tips: During her Reaping, Ares didn't seem too shocked to be reaped, so questions regarding that are sure to be entertaining. Other possible conversation topics could include her relationship with Camber as well as her family life since Ares has a twin!

Predicted Placement: 7

Camber Yaw, District 6 Agender Tribute

Age: 15

Score: 5

Session Notes: Camber didn't do that much during the session, but the few things he did do, he did extremely well. He used a sword at first before realizing it was too heavy for him and then switching to a tiny knife which he used to stab dummies and identify the parts of the body that he successfully hit. It was easily made apparent that Camber is an intelligent being, as he also rattled off various facts about nature and poison. He also gave a bit of a lecture about blunt force trauma as well as the ways people can die after being stabbed in the head. While talking was indeed the main thing Camber did today, he also proved he has the slightest bit of strength.

Allies: Camber is allies with Clancy and Ares, both from District 5 and he's definitely the weakest one out of the group. He gets along with them fairly well, he just isn't as strong a contender as any of them. It is certain though that Camber is a good mediator, hence why he's breaking Clancy and Ares verbal fights, but he otherwise isn't that strong a contender.

Interview Tips: Camber can be fairly outgoing when he wants to be, and the interview definitely could be a time where that comes out. He loves science so he'll probably talk about that a lot, and it is also feasible to see him discussing his plans for the future since he really wants to be a doctor someday, a cute but unrealistic dream.

Predicted Placement: 20

Sperry Holster, District 6 Female

Age: 16

Score: 7

Session Notes: Sperry behaved really intelligently during her session, showcasing a wide variety of skills that make her an extremely versatile and possible wildcard contender. She was able to successfully camouflage herself using natural materials such as leaves and branches, and she also did this rather quickly, a good sign since that is usually an issue for people when camouflaging. Another interesting thing that Sperry did was that she dipped a dagger in red paint and then stabbed a dummy three times with incredible accuracy. She explained that she had just hit three critical arteries, which she learned recently, and that the red marks were to show that she was successful. After a quick search in a book, it turns out that she actually did hit three main arteries with her dagger, an incredibly impressive feat. Overall, it is obvious that Sperry has many tricks up her sleeve and is in it for the long game.

Allies: Sperry made no effort to find allies but actually seems happy about that decision. It ties in well to her extremely versatile abilities.

Interview Tips: Sperry is shy, so getting much to happen from her interview will definitely be a struggle. Perhaps the question that everybody is dying to know the answer to is why exactly Sperry volunteered, so asking it is a must for sure though it is unlikely she'll answer it. Maybe some things are better left a mystery.

Predicted Placement: 10

Palmer Adams, District 7 Male

Age: 18

Score: 6

Session Notes: Palmer was by far the smartest person during these sessions when it came to knowledge of plants, so it made sense to learn that he had experience with plants back home in 7 since his father worked as a trail blazer. He was able to identify every single plant in the books in record time, which was insanely impressive despite the fact he had absolutely no personality while doing it. He also fought a medium-level partner with a scythe, and he wasn't exactly amazing with that weapon, yet he still made it work. He showed a bit of hesitation when he fought, which questions his ability to kill in the arena since he genuinely seemed concerned for the health and safety of the trainer.

Allies: Palmer willingly has no allies. In fact, Palmer really hasn't interacted with any of the other Tributes and he actually gets upset when people try to speak to him. He's definitely interesting.

Interview Tips: Palmer is usually pretty shy and cold, but he seems to have a big soft spot for nature, so maybe questions about that will help get the ball rolling, allowing him to show some of the personality he has to have during his interview.

Predicted Placement: 16

Marcel Hemlock, District 7 Female

Age: 16

Score: 5

Session Notes: Marcel's private session was extremely entertaining to watch. She only showed one thing off, her ability with a knife, but the way she did so was genius. She did a somewhat sexual prowl towards one of the trainers, while taunting and seducing him with her knife in a way that was fascinating. She did all of this while rattling off facts about poisonous plants with extreme accuracy, and her hard work certainly did not go unnoticed. It's clear that Ms. Hemlock was hiding something here, but it worked in her favor since it left everybody in the room asking questions about her and the power she seems to have. Also worth noting, she appears to have immense physical strength, something seen best when she was handling a sword with ease during training. She seems to be a good mix of brawn and brains.

Allies: Marcel is allied with Teresa of District 8 and they are somewhat of a match made in heaven. They seem to genuinely care about and enjoy eachothers company, meaning their alliance will do very well in the arena. They both have their own individual qualities, Marcel's being physical strength, and Teresa's being mental, but they are both strong in both categories.

Interview Tips: Marcel seems to have an interesting past, so asking questions about it is definitely advised. She'll likely see the interview as an opportunity to be seductive, as she has been throughout her time here, so try to break past the sex appeal and get to the meet of her as an individual.

Predicted Placement: 17

Challis Lam, District 8 Male

Age: 15

Score: 4

Session Notes: Challis, though extremely charming, was not a very strong performer today. Instead of opting for a valuable weapon, Challis decided to instead throw rocks at targets, which he was unable to do with that much accuracy unfortunately. He was extremely persistent though, something that also showed when he was practicing rock-climbing and fell down a few times but always got back up again. Brevity is an underrated skill for sure, but Challis simply didn't have much success in anything despite trying again and again. For the last bit of his session, Challis decided to engage in hand to hand combat, but he actually got somewhat injured himself. Things honestly aren't looking too great for him which is a shame since the kid is adorable.

Allies: Challis is allied with Edison from District 3 and Alarico from District 9, an overall extremely positive and healthy alliance. Challis appears to be the comic relief of the group, and he does so well since they are always smiling. It can be debated though that he spent too much time joking and not enough time training, hence his low score.

Interview Tips: Challis thinks he's hilarious so he'll most definitely be telling all sorts of fun jokes during his interview. He doesn't seem to have an incredibly interesting home life, so it is probably best to stick to the jokes as they're likely the only substance this interview will have.

Teresa McClean, District 8 Female

Age: 18

Score: 6

Session Notes: Teresa was able to show excellent skills with setting up traps and snares, something that will surely be a useful skill in the arena. It is very clear that Mrs. McClean (yes– she is married) is good with her hands, as she was able to set up these traps with ease. After demonstrating these abilities, she went on to use a sword, though it was a bit too heavy for her, something she eventually realized, and moved on to using smaller weapons. Her ability with a knife was somewhat decent, as was her ability with blow darts. From this session, it was made very clear that Teresa has enough physical strength to get by in the arena, but she may have difficulties later on.

Allies: Ever since the party, Teresa has been seen with Marcel Hemlock of District 7. The two girls seem to have a dynamic where they are both equals, and Marcel has the physical strength Teresa lacks. Teresa provides the survival skills to the alliance. It will probably be successful in the arena, as drama seems unlikely. Teresa has not interacted with many of the other Tributes besides Marcel and her District Partner, who she doesn't appear to get along with.

Interview Tips: At the interview, it wouldn't be surprising if Teresa put on the somewhat old-age charm she usually appears to have. A recommendation for the interviewer is to see if she can somehow come out of her shell a bit, since it is clear that there is more to her than what meets the eye.

Alarico de Oro, District 9 Male

Age: 18

Score: 8

Session Notes: Alarico truly did not hold back today. Physically, he's somewhat of a dreamboat, so it makes sense that he used his incredible muscles and strength to his advantage. He opted to take a quiz on identifying various plants and herbs, and he scored an 85% which is not too shabby at all especially since he doesn't give off the impression of being an extremely intellectual fellow. He did so and so with weapons, but when it was time for wrestling, Alarico made his presence known, equipping himself with brass knuckles and tearing up the trainers and the dummies he came in contact with. He behaved almost animalistically with his violent ways, but it was effective and powerful. He definitely has the potential to go far.

Allies: Alarico is allies with Edison from District 3 and Challis from District 8. That alliance has overall positive energy and Alarico seems more than glad to contribute to it. While they play hard, it is clear that they work hard as well since Alarico certainly has promising physical abilities. It is unknown as to whether or not his allies will hold him back.

Interview Tips: Alarico has openly spoken about his deep love for both his boyfriend and his dog. It is expected that he'll talk about both during the interview and therefore asking questions about them is a must. He also says he had an interesting blossom into life and he seems open to talking about it.

Predicted Placement: 9

Saffron "Saf" Aldeniz, District 9 Female

Age: 17

Score: 7

Session Notes: Anybody could tell that Saffron was rather nervous for her private session. She looked afraid the entire time and even openly admitted that she hates being watched, a shame since her actual performance was somewhat effective and impressive. It is clear that Ms. Aldeniz has impressive survival skills, something she was indeed able to display today, and she even mentioned that it was from being homeless, something that was upsetting. Additionally, Saf showed that she was really talented using a sickle, unique because she was the only person to use one today. While it is clear that she has potential, it is equally clear that she could easily crack under pressure which certainly has the ability to deeply do her harm.

Allies: Saf doesn't have any allies but she's still been relatively social, occasionally speaking to Piper from District 10, even though they aren't allies. She seems content in her situation regarding allies though.

Interview Tips: Rumors say that Saf's ex-girlfriend is an avox so that would definitely be an interesting avenue to explore, though whether or not it is explored is a good question since it could be risky. It also appears that Saf doesn't have a strong relationship with her parents, so it's best not to mention them either.

Predicted Placement: 12

Alabastor Contreras, District 10 Male

Age: 12

Score: 4

Session Notes: Alabastor didn't do much during his session today. He showed some basic abilities with using a knife and setting traps, but he was unable to make contact for a majority of the time, and the traps he tried to set appeared to break easily. Overall Mr. Contreras seemed rather weak compared to the other Tributes seen today, probably a given due to the fact he's the youngest of the bunch. His charisma was non-existent and he even appeared to be visibly angry throughout the entire experience. Whether or not he was trying to appear weaker than he actually is is debatable, but for now, it appears that Alabastor doesn't have many tricks up his sleeve, though he is quite chunky physically.

Allies: Alabastor has been seen training with his District Partner, as well as Mr. Morgan Barrow from District 12. It's an odd dynamic, with Piper often doing activities by herself, leaving the two boys to do what they want for most of the day, though they do occasionally all come together. Piper is the clear leader of the group, and probably will be the longest out of them to survive, in fact she'll likely be the only one to make it out of the Bloodbath alive.

Interview Tips: Alabastor appears to be a rather bitter child, so the best advice for him is to ask him what makes him so bitter, though he doesn't physically look like the sort of person who would be good at cooperating during an interview so good luck with that.

Piper Sanderson, District 10 Female

Age: 16

Score: 6

Session Notes: Piper had a particularly interesting display of talents today. She showcased her abilities to use two very basic weapons, a knife and a rope. Overall her knife abilities fell short, as she missed a fair amount of all the targets she hit, but her relentlessness did not go unnoticed as she performed with a smile on her face for the entire time, and didn't appear to give up or anything close to that. Her rope abilities were way stronger than the knife, as Piper was able to use the rope both as a whip and as a lasso, two deadly but rarely seen weapons. She used both with ease, probably due to her presumed farm experience due to being from District 10. It is obvious that these skills will be very useful later on, as ropes are usually left ignored at the Cornucopia, so if Piper is able to obtain one, it is realistic to say she could quickly become a serious competitor.

Allies: Piper appears to be allied with her District Partner and Morgan from District 12, though she typically trains separately from them. She has taken on a maternal role in the alliance, and it is clear that the boys look up to her, though it is worrisome that she might become too attached to them which could prove to be harmful in the arena as they will likely die early and it is possible her mental health will deteriorate as a result.

Interview Tips: Piper lives on a farm with horses, so it is likely that she has interesting stories because of that, which would be fun to discuss during the interview. It also may be worth asking why she has chosen such unconventional allies.

Pith Plastid, District 11 Male

Age: 15

Score: 5

Session Notes: Pith is clearly a knowledgeable kid with a good head on his shoulders though it is debatable how valuable those traits actually are. During his session, Pith was able to demonstrate an immense amount of physical strength, lifting heavy rocks and throwing them across the room. It wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, but it wasn't unimpressive either. One of the other things that Pith did was he talked a lot about plants, something he seems to have a great knowledge of, fitting since he's from District 11. He didn't showcase a weapon or anything of that regard, but he overall did a solid job only he didn't exactly stand out compared to any of his competitors which is unfortunate but the truth.

Allies: Pith didn't make any allies. He did however spend a lot of time working with his mentor Ashby Reynolds, though that won't help much in the arena. Pith eye'd the alliance of the boys from 3, 8, and 9 a bit, but he never actually approached them or tried to join their alliance even though it appeared that he wanted to.

Interview Tips: Pith is a rather average fellow, and that is expected to come out during his interview. Try not to overwhelm him with questions and instead ask for his opinions on things since surely he has to have some opinions on some things.

Predicted Placement: 18

Dephra Kirk, District 11 Female

Age: 17

Score: 1

Session Notes: This was an awful session. Dephra spent the entire time running around and avoiding flying objects and while she didn't get hit by anything which is definitely a positive, she didn't show any abilities rather than that she can run fast even though she's rather short herself. While she did visit some weapon stations during training, it is clear she didn't develop any prominent abilities with them since she clearly chose not to display them during this session. There isn't much to say about Ms. Dephra Kirk other than she better run fast if she wants to make it out of the Bloodbath alive.

Allies: While Dephra tried to make allies during training, nobody wanted to ally with her which she clearly took to heart since she appeared to be rather upset whenever she spoke to anyone. She could be a happy person, but she simply lacks the skills to be at all valuable in any functioning alliance.

Interview Tips: Dephra has the potential to actually do well here. She is fairly bubbly it seems and she has expressed an interest in cooking, a possible conversation topic for the interview. This is especially important to her, since doing well here is all she has going for her.

Predicted Placement: 24

Morgan Barrow, District 12 Male

Age: 13

Score: 3

Session Notes: It was hard to not feel bad for Morgan during this session. He didn't really do all that much, but he did try to set fires on the ground, unfortunately failing miserably for a bit, but ultimately he was able to get something to catch fire. He also stood in the center of the room and proudly recited facts about nature with the biggest most adorable smile on his face. It was quite depressing knowing that he's most definitely screwed, especially since he decided to take all the weapons off the walls and try to use them, but he somehow failed at each and every single one of them. Most people here feel quite bad for the kid, and it's honestly hard to blame them.

Allies: Morgan is allies with Piper and Alabastor from District 10 and he seems to get on great with both of them though he spends most of his time with Alabastor. When he sees Piper though, Morgan's eyes light up and he follows her around like he's a lost puppy. It's sad but endearing at the same time, especially knowing that he won't make it too far, and Piper seems oblivious to the fact.

Interview Tips: It wouldn't be that shocking if Morgan was afraid during his interview since he seems to get overwhelmed easily, so for that reason it is best to be gentle with him and to ask him somewhat simple questions at first until he gets the hang of things. Perhaps a good topic would be the gemstones he used to enjoy collecting and selling in District 12.

Predicted Placement: 22

Etta Wiseman, District 12 Female

Age: 15

Score: 2

Session Notes: Etta didn't do much for her session. She rattled off information on edible plants, and while that information was indeed true, she didn't do much else, making it hard to justify giving her a high score. She was clearly nervous during the session which could contribute to why she didn't do much, but overall Etta simply did not show any tremendous abilities. She was seen using a knife a bit during training, but she clearly lacked the physical strength to operate it properly as seen when she didn't use it during the private session.

Allies: Etta didn't make any allies and that seems to be on her own free will. While she did ask her District Partner to ally on the first day, he rejected her and she didn't try to make any new allies after that. She was seen getting into an argument with Alabastor and Morgan, which doesn't bode well for her at all.

Interview Tips: For Etta's interview, it is best to ask her some questions about books as Etta seems to love reading deeply. She also seems to be close with her family so questions about them could be helpful to show some personality in her.

Predicted Placement: 23

Sorry in advance if that Chapter was excruciatingly boring but this was the best way to do Private Sessions that my pea brain could think of in order to give everybody's session a fair chance in the spotlight. I don't have much else to say here, but mentor interviews aka the next chapter will surely be out tomorrow.

Also, what the fuck? This fic is now longer than all of We The People and we aren't even in the arena yet?
