HICCUP's P.O.V
We pretty much arrived late last night. It was around midnight when we all pulled down at Astrid's House Driveway.
Me and Astrid half consciously unbuckled our seatbelts and took out our perspective baggage
It was amazing Gobber doesn't seem tired at all, same with Lisa.
As I finished getting down my stuff Astrid turned to me
"Goodnight Hiccup, Thanks for joining us...It was really fun" Her voice was a little hoarse, probably from sleepiness. She gave me a quick hug and I took off
The next day I woke up. Now I'm back from reality. Just a few more days and school is about to start again. I went down and Breakfast was already prepared
"Morning Mom" I greeted
"Morning Hiccup, How was your short vacation?"
I took a seat, I woke up much later than usual, Dad already left.
"It was cool and fun" I answered as I started to pour some juice in my glass
"I'm glad you enjoyed" Mom said
A noise came from out the backyard. Toothless came in dashing in the kitchen barking happily
"Heya bud! I missed you!" I kneeled down and greeted Toothless which in return was happy to greet me back
"He really missed you, why won't you take him for a little walk later" Mom suggested
"Oh yeah, I'll be doing groceries later, anything you want to have?
"No mom I'm all good"
After I had breakfast and took a shower, I took Toothless out for a walk, Mom already left to the grocery, as we walked pass by Astrid's House It was obvious that no one was there. I tried to shake the thoughts out of my head and went right on.
I took Toothless to our usual route to the park. He gladly walked and looked around, when we got to the part near the pond I heard noises
"Look at what you did doofus, you made it worst" An angry voice roared
"Well you're just standing there and bossing me around why don't you do it!" another one yelled back
"Hey look there's a walking twig!" One guy shouted
"Really funny Snoutlout" I deadpanned as Toothless and I walked closer to see what was going on
Tuffnut was a mess and so is Snoutlout with a bunch of hair and twigs sticking out of his hair out of his helmet. It seem they got in a little accident seeing a tandem bike slowly sinking down the water
"You know what you're not doing anything, I'll get this out myself" boasted Snoutlout as he stomped back the pond
"Yeah yeah suit yourself" replied Tuff who sat down the grass, I followed him.
We were sitting quietly since I don't have anything to say anymore
"So, having problems with your girl?"
"What?!" The only thing I did what sit next to Tuff, I have no clue how he said that
"It's obvious from your face, its screams girl problems" he explained as he looked straight on to a struggling Snoutlout not far from us
"I have no idea how yo-"
"Its Astrid right?" now he's looking at me with a dead face
"Look, I know I may look stupid but I'm not that stupid...but Ruffnut it haha"
"How did you know it was Astrid?" I asked him
"Simple, cos your eyes are all soft and gooey on her. And whenever she's there you're like a pair of trembling legs"
I looked at him with disbelief, I didn't know I was that obvious and also from the fact on how he compares me to trembling legs, like what does that even mean
I heaved a sigh, "Well, you got me…It's just a little complicated for me"
"Do you wanna know the best thing to do Hiccup? Be a man and just do it!" Tuff suddenly got serious with one hand balled in a fist
"But what if-"
"Dude, do it now before you regret it or cry your butt later as you think about the what ifs that won't exist cos you got your answer"
I don't usually talk to Tuffnut, but I would not deny how helpful he is being right now, considering I practically don't have anyone to tell this to
"But What if it's not the answer I wanted?" I asked back
"You know Ruff told me girls are the kind that tries to play hard to get, they don't like you even if they really do, but if you do get turned down, then walk away, you can cry if you want cos crying doesn't make you less of a man, then. Man up again! That's how it works." With crossed arms Tuff looked proud at himself
I thought for a minute, and yes I admit I have been weak and afraid and doubtful for most of my existence, so maybe this is the time for me to "man up".
I stood up and notice that Snoutlout is heading back to us together with the retrieved bike
"I gotta go Tuff, Thanks for the advice "I said.
"Hey we may not be that friendly, but sure glad I can share my wisdom once in a while"
I turned back with a grin Tuffnut doesn't change
hey so yeah, I'm still trying to recall how i originally planned the plot for this, I don't want to regret forgetting a certain part, but if i do end up not remembering it, then I'll just scratch a new idea.
i started this when I was around in high school, 13 years old, now im in college 20 years old, time passed and I'm still amazed and thankful to all who kept on reading this, and to all who still want me to continue. tbh I have began to be bad at words, seeing the short chapters compared before, I do want to be able to get back to writing since, it also helps with my english ability I guess.
