Hello my fellow readers, writers, and people who have been enjoying this story so far, I'm back with yet another new chapter. In this chapter we'll be going over the events of the episode of Fairy tail titled welcome home which I don't remember much about since it's been about 2 years or so since I've watched it last.

I'm sure most of you are wondering why I'm only doing Hope/charmcaster's P.O.V. or at least mostly well the reason for this is this is a story based on her redemption. I don't know when I'll have her return to Earth but I do know that it won't be at least until the end of the anime which has recently ended in 2018 so yes I'm going to be going over those episodes as well. i know i'm going to have her go back to Earth for a little while anyway most likely during the aggregor chase. Anyway I don't have anything else to add so without further ado let's get this show on the road.

Hope's P.O.V.

After Natsu pretty much pulled his Edolas version out of the car he had given us a ride in he almost instantly started crying even though Natsu had only asked him how his Edolas counterpart didn't have motion sickness. Edo Natsu said "I don't know why please don't hurt me" when he started trembling more than crying Natsu approached him again slowly and pointed at his face and said "are you the same me from just a minute ago."

Edo Natsu said "of course I'm the same person but people say I'm like a different person behind the wheel" and Happy exclaimed quite loudly "this worlds Natsu is a total scaredy cat." He then placed both hands on top of his head and said "please you guys are freaking me out don't scream" and Natsu had a shocked look on his face.

Lucy decided to give him some payback from the night before "it's just like looking into a mirror isn't it Natsu" and Edo Natsu said "I'm sorry I'm really, really sorry but this is as far as I can take you." Natsu asked "how come" and he said "the only reason I came in the first place was because my Lucy told me I had to."

Wendy tried to placate him "well you don't have to do anything that scares you" and when Edo Natsu looked up at her in appreciation Carla had to ruin the moment. We certainly don't have room for a blubbering coward on our team" and Wendy actually scolded Carla "don't be rude" and Edo Natsu said "hey what's your name I bet it's Wendy right" and Wendy confirmed it.

Edo Natsu said "oh wow you're such a cute little girl" and he looked over at our Natsu and said "and you're Earthland's version of me." Natsu said in surprise "you're just now figuring that out" and Happy decided to introduce himself and Carla "well I'm Happy and this beauty is Carla" and Lucy introduced herself and said "but you already knew my name don't you."

She had put her hand in the air in a waving gesture and Edo Natsu took cover behind the front of his car and said "I'm sorry I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you." I snarked at her "well looks you you've managed to almost scare off yet another person" and she glared at me for a moment and said "what is that supposed to mean."

Natsu then rubbed salt in her metaphorical wounds "geez Lucy give scared me a break would ya" and Edo Natsu said "the Lucy I know from here told me I had to take you this far so I did." Where we were instead of the middle of nowhere was actually on a mountain overlooking a massive city that put even Bellwood to shame although it had a circular perimeter."

Lucy said "wow is this the place" and Happy said "I think it's the royal city" and Wendy stated "it's so big" and Natsu threw his arm around his Edolas counterpart and said "you should have told us we were here sooner." Edo Natsu said "you're right I'm so sorry" and Natsu let go of him and went closer to the edge of the mountain we were on and said "this is awesome we'll be busting out our friends in no time."

Lucy seemed shocked "they're all down there somewhere trapped inside a giant Lacrima" and Carla said we mustn't waste time" and started walking off. Wendy went off after her and I followed on the uneven terrain and Lucy started making her way down behind us. Natsu stayed behind for a moment and waved at his Edolas counterpart and said "thanks a million buddy" and Lucy said "say hi to me for me."

Edo Natsu said "hey wait you're really doing it fighting the kingdom" and Natsu responded "I don't know we're just going to try to get our friends back. But if the kingdom decides it wants to get in our way I guess we're going to have to fight them" and with my hearing somewhat amplified from a spell in Legerdomain here I heard Edo Natsu said "well I hate to say this but you can't beat them" and Natsu just grinned at him.

This city compared to the others that we had been to so far seemed to have the most magic power of course that's probably because the king's castle was in this town. I wasn't the only one to notice that the atmosphere was different because Lucy said "they're so happy" and Wendy said "it wasn't what I expected.

I thought this place would be dark and scary" and Lucy said "not exactly my idea of a dictatorship that's for sure" and I said "it's not the worst one the one back in my original home in Legerdomain was much worse than this one." Natsu said "we got into the city without having to fight a single guard" and Lucy said "compared to the other towns we've been to it's like a fair."

Carla said "I'm sure it's because they steal magic from everywhere and hoard it here then they try to gloss over their crimes to make it seem more paligable to the general public." Lucy said "well it's not working for me" and I said "I'm actually with blondie on this one" and Wendy must have noticed a large crowd because she said "hey guys there's something going on over here."

Lucy said "are they having a parade or something" and Natsu seemed overly excited because he said "like their own version of fantasia" and both him and Happy started running toward the large crowd. Carla said "we're here for business not pleasure remember" and I said "calm yourself Carla it's fine to enjoy ourselves even on missions" and I walked over toward the crowd myself with Wendy following me.

Natsu said "what's the deal why is everyone cheering" and Lucy said "hold on Natsu" and Happy said "wow it's super crowded over here." Natsu must have stopped suddenly without warning because Lucy said "hey if you're going to stop in front of me like that warn me" and she must have seen what everyone was cheering about as did I and I didn't like it one bit.

They were cheering for a giant Lacrima which most likely held all of our friends including Magnolia and Wendy said "no it's a Lacrima" and Lucy said "a giant one." Happy started pointing out the obvious again "which means all of our friends are in there" and Carla said "and if you look closely you can see there's a missing piece."

I saw what she was referring too since the top edge of the Lacrima seemed to be more jagged then it probably should have been. Lucy seemed shocked and said "wait you mean there's more of that thing somewhere" and Natsu for once seemed shocked into silence. An elderly gentleman who was dressed in a fancy robe while holding a rod stood in front of the Lacrima on a pillar that was high above everything else.

Everyone seemed to have cheered even harder than they had before which gave me the vibes that this guy was the king of Edolas. After everyone stopped cheering he began his speech which seemed more rehearsed than anything I'd ever heard before "Children of Edolas it brings great joy to my heart to tell you that our anima program has produced enough magic power to last for another decade."

Happy said "you didn't produce a damn thing you broke into our world and stole it from us" and Carla under her breath said "please try to control your temper Tomcat." The king continued "let us rejoice together, let us sing and dance, let laugher roar through our sacred kingdom. The power in the Lacrima belongs to all loyal subjects of our fair homeland today we hold our future in our hands to ensure it's prosperity into tomorrow and beyond.

Therefore we must swear to protect this gift from heaven with our very lives" and that got the whole crowd cheering the loudest they had so far. The king continued after the cheering had died down a bit again "my dear children today I shall make the most solemn pledge to you as your benevolent ruler I will bring more power so much more than you can even imagine" and he thrust the end of his staff into the Lacrima which created a small hole and cracks to appear where he had done so.

It even created a few small pieces to come off of the Lacrima and the king just held his staff up in the air and had a power-hungry look on his face. Natsu started walking forward and Lucy just hugged him from behind while also stopping him from moving forward anymore and said "stay strong" and he said "it's them our friends we got to get them out of there" and he continued struggling against Lucy's grip which seemed to be stronger than even I thought she could produce.

Lucy said "we will just wait we'll get them all back" and seeing her sort of role model losing control like he was Wendy just leaned into me. I looked over at Happy and Carla and while Happy was seething with barely controlled rage Carla was standing there stoically as usual which made me even wonder if she really cared or if she was just here for Wendy.

Lucy was still holding Natsu back and she said "Natsu please" and even though he didn't know it the king was just pissing us off more by laughing the entire time the crowd was cheering again. We got into a hotel room and Natsu was just looking at the castle in the center of the city, Lucy was sitting on one of the couches with her head in her hands, and Wendy was just staring down at the floor, Happy was sitting on the floor in a slump, while Carla was working on something on the table in the room.

Natsu finally said "I can't just sit around like this forever I'm storming the castle" and he started making a beeline to the door to the room we were in. Carla said "that won't do any good" and he said "oh yeah why not" and Carla said "without a solid strategy in place you don't have a chance of saving anyone." I said "to be honest Carla is right before I came here, I was attacking a single person who had started this rivalry between us.

You see we both had the same kind of powers but she seemed to be better at using them then me which I later figured out was because she was literally an energy being. Before I attacked her after being waiting in the shadows for five years, I had planned on using her boyfriend at the time to lead her to a trap where I would steal her power from her once and for all.

However, that didn't really work out in what I thought was our final showdown she bested me by taking her power back using a spell from one of my own books. She then opened up a wormhole and that's how I ended up here" and even though I could see the anger still on Natsu's face him and Lucy looked surprised as did Wendy and I could see the wonder on their faces.

I said "what did I say" and Lucy said "well it's just that you've never explained how you here before now" and I said "it's not that interesting I was just using it as an example of how a plan goes a long way." Wendy went off of what Natsu and Carla had said "but still they were turned into that crystal and we have no idea how to change them back."

Carla continued working on what she had been working on and said "the king will just have to tell us that himself." Wendy said "but he'd never tell us that" and Natsu shouted "he will if we beat it out of him" and Lucy must have come up with an idea. She said "hey yeah do you think the king actually does know how to reverse the spell" and Wendy said "probably."

I said "I would bet everything on it since he's the one who cast it in the first place he's got to know how to do the exact opposite." Lucy said "then we still have a chance if we get close to the king we can pull this off" and Natsu said "for real." Wendy said "but how do we save them" and I said "I'm kind of curious about what plan you came up with for myself."

She said "with Gemini remember not only do they have the power to turn into the people they touch they call also read the minds of whoever they turn into. Which means if they're able to transform into the king they'll also be able to tell us everything he knows." Natsu seemed amazed by this and Lucy said "but timing is going to be a major issue with using them because they can only transform into someone for no more than 5 minutes.

And they can only remember a couple people at a time literally just two so there's that but the real question is how are we going to get close enough to him. That's tough" and Wendy said "no joke he's always got a lot of guards surrounding him" and Carla finally showed us what she had been working on. It looked like a map and she said "I've come up with a plan to get us in range" and she ignored everyone shocked expressions and explained her plan.

"as with the home of any paranoid ruler when the castle was originally constructed there was a tunnel built as an escape route that links up with a mineshaft just outside of the city wall." Wendy said "there is but how do you know about it" and I said "I was about to ask the same question" and she said "it's just in my head coming to me in little bits and pieces.

From the moment we've set foot in Edolas it's as if there's a mental map that's slowly being filled in" and Happy said "well my head is still empty." Lucy said "if we can find that tunnel then we may have a real shot at getting close enough to the king." Natsu said "okay let's get inside that geezer's head" and Wendy said "Let's go" and Happy perked up and said "aye sir."

Carla said "not yet" and Natsu exclaimed at her "why are you always stopping me" and Carla said "we'll go under the cover of night until then we should try to get some rest."

(that evening)

After waking up from our sleeping we were running through the streets of the city which were completely empty. After finally getting outside of the wall we were once again on a rocky terrain area which seemed to make up most of Edolas from what I'd seen. After running across the terrain Carla was constantly looking at the map and said "we should be arriving to the entrance of the tunnel any moment now."

We stopped outside a hole in the side of the mountain we had walked down earlier and Wendy said "is this is" and Carla said "yes I'm positive." Natsu said "in we go" and Carla said "wait" and Natsu said "again with the stopping" and she said "I understand that time is of the essence trust me but we will need a source of light in tunnel."

He tried lighting his fist on fire again and Carla said "you seem to have forgotten again you magic power simply doesn't work here in Edolas." He said "aw man" and kicked a rock further into the tunnel" and Happy said "I can't exactly see that Lucy being the only one of us that can still use magic is a comforting thought" and Lucy said "give a rest Happy you're just jealous."

He said "I'm sorry did I say that out loud" and Lucy was holding something and Wendy said "what exactly are you holding there Lucy." She held them up and proudly proclaimed "I got us torches" and she pointed at a small cabin off to the side "I took some wood from over there, wrapped them in cloth, and dipped them in oil all we have to do is light these babies up and we'll have no problem seeing."

Carla said "and how will we do that" and she said in a small voice "good question" and Natsu started doing the old fashion way of starting a fire which was rubbing a stick against a base. He said "this ahs got to be the most humiliating thing I've done in my life" and Lucy said "we've got no other choice but it really does illustrate how convenient magic can be for the little things."

Happy said "old timey people must have been super impressive if they could make fires by just rubbing a few sticks together like that." Wendy and Carla just nodded at what he said and Natsu just broke the stick by putting too much pressure on it. he said "man I suck at making fire" and I said "that's the last thing I thought I would ever hear you say" and he said "I meant in the old timey way."

Lucy said "wow I did it" and Wendy said "wow I did it" as if she were impressed with herself and Wendy said "yay Lucy made fine" and Happy said "good job" and Natsu said "awesome I knew you had in ya." Carla then jibbed at Natsu "I find it ironic that the fire wizard couldn't even produce a spark" and he said in annoyance "we got fire now so would you just drop it."

Lucy then stole Natsu's line when the fire she created was strong enough to light the torches she made "I'm all fired up." We lit the torches and Wendy said "this will be perfect" and she started complaining like always "now that that's over can I please rest for a while." After Wendy lit the torch Natsu was holding he did the stupidest thing and just stuck the whole thing in his mouth and ate the fire.

Happy said "yeah maybe eating fire will bring your magic back" and Lucy said "that's right so did it work" and Happy said "feel it yet." He said "defiantly feeling hot right here" motioning to his stomach area and Happy said "does it feel like magic" and he said "I don't know but I'm started to think it does" and Lucy said "you got a fire in your belly so let it out by giving us the good old fire dragon's iron fist move."

He said "you bet" and he clenched his fist and said "coming right up" and he punched the air only for nothing to happen. He said "sorry I got nothing" and Carla walked past him and said "I could have told you that would happen" and he slumped over in defeat only to realize that we made our way into the tunnel without him and quickly started following after us.

He said "I thought all I had to do was eat this weird world's fire" and Lucy said "don't worry about it thanks to my torches we're all set" and Happy said "but they're not magic." I said "as long as we can see inside this cave that's all that matters" and while we were following Carla who was keeping her eyes glued to the map.

Lucy said "looks like no one's been here in a while" referring to the state of disrepair the stabilizing beams were in. Carla said "put the light out right in front of us" and Wendy did so to reveal a blocked off area and she said "that's our link" and Lucy drummed her knuckles against ne of the wooden beams and said "it seems pretty thick and I think it's been fortified by some kind of magic."

Natsu said "does that mean this is a dead end" and Carla said "we'll have to find a way to get through it I'm sure the passage leading to the castle is on the other side." I said "if it's breaking through that we need to do I got just the thing" and I called out two of my stone golems. I said "everyone back off in case there's a disturbance like a cave-in from this" and as soon as we were a safe distance away from the entrance to the tunnel to the castle I gave the mental order for my golems to essentially go to town on the barrier in front of us.

Lucy summoned Taurus to help out my golems and I gave the mental command for them to back away as well and Taurus busted it down the rest of the way. Lucy said "hey look" and Wendy finished her though "there's a passage way" and Happy said "as I always say Carla has the 1 2 punch of brains and beauty."

Taurus said "that wall wasn't so hard to move" and Lucy said "thanks for all your help Taurus" and he said "don't you think I deserve to get a smooch" and she said "get over it already." He said "but a kiss from you would send me to the moon" and she waved his key and said "why don't I just send you home instead" and he disappeared in a flash of light.

Carla said "whether or not this passage leads to the castle remains to be seen" and Wendy said "you've been right about everything else so far I'm sure this is where we want to go" and Carla just looked down to the ground. Happy seemed even more down than Carla did and Natsu of course noticed and said "what's wrong buddy."

Happy said "hey why do you think I'm not getting any sort of map in my head" and that caused everyone to look at him in surprise. He said "I mean I'm from Edolas just like she is and supposedly we both got sent away on the same mission so how come I don't know anything." Carla said "we agreed not to talk about that remember" and he nodded and said in a low voice "aye" and she said "I can't give you an explanation that's just the way it seems to be working out."

Lucy broke up the sadish moment and said "for now we've got to keep moving forward" and Wendy said "yeah" and Natsu said "right" and we continued on in silence. After a little bit Natsu said "I hope this thing doesn't cave in on us" and I said "I'm pretty sure if the king were to use it in the case of an invasion he would make sure it wouldn't cave in on him in an escape so I'd say we're pretty safe."

Lucy said "shut up Natsu you're going to jinx us" and Wendy said "this mineshaft is pretty old and rundown isn't It" and Happy said "I hope it's not haunted." Natsu got a scared look on his face and Lucy said "what's the matter please don't let there be anything scary down there" and he handed her the torch and said "just hold this thing for me would you."

She said "why do you have to fight something" and he said "be quiet and don't move a muscle" and he then started making shadow puppets with his hands and he said "we're in the layer of the shadow monster" and everyone with the exception of me was surprised by this and while the others were looking at him in disbelief I just walked up and smacked him upside the head.

He said "ow what was that for" and I said "with time being as precious as it is, we don't have time for stupid stuff like that right now." After following Carla's map more she said "in about 50 paces we'll take a left" and after turning left and walking more we came to another fork in the road and she said "we should turn here" and put a paw on her head as if either fighting a headache or trying to remember something.

After following her direction more we came to cavern and Lucy said "this is more like a cavern than a tunnel" and Carla said "yes if I'm right this Cavern is right under the castle." Lucy said "I don't know how you're doing all this but I'm so glad you're on our team" and Carla said "I'm perplexed as well but as I said the map keeps getting more filled in" and Happy said with a smile on his face "you're amazing Carla.'

She said "being able to find our way through here should be the easy part" and I said "yeah it only goes in one direction instead of having multiple twists and turns." Carla continued before I interrupted her "what will be really amazing is sneaking into and out of the king's royal chambers undetected as defenseless as we are now the mission will be over the second we're spotted."

Lucy said "now don't forget we can always use my magic if we get into a pinch" and Natsu said "so you're going to save us I don't think so." Lucy got pissed at him over that "what are you talking about Taurus got us this far and the whole plan relies on using Gemini."

Happy was just staring forward and Wendy said "is everything okay Happy" and he said his usual "Aye" and continued walking forward. As we kept walking a white slime looking substance shot out from behind us and wrapped around Lucy. Natsu said "Lucy" while Wendy said "what is that" while Happy and Carla just looked on shocked and she said "oh no I'm stuck."

Then more of the stuff came out and wrapped around Wendy, Natsu, and me and then while Lucy was trying to reach her keys for one of her spirits to get us out what looked like an entire unit of the royal army surrounded us. Lucy said "why are there so many of them down here" and Happy said "how in the hell did they find us" and then a dark voice said from behind us "so these are the magic users from Earthland."

The dark voice came from what looked like Erza but with a completely different hairstyle which made me think that this was the Edolas version of Erza known as the fairy hunter. She then said to us "it's amazing how much you resemble the outlaws Natsu drageon and Lucy Ashley" and then to the soldiers around her "take them away" and the soldiers moved forward and pulled us down the tunnel the rest of the way.

Lucy said "Erza listen to us wait" and I said "it's no use this is the Edolas version of her and around here they call her the Fairy hunter." I saw that both Carla and Happy were running after us only for Edo Erza to stand in their way and then she did something I didn't quite expect she treated them with respect in her voice.

"great Exceeds" and the soldiers that weren't dragging us away along with Edo Erza bowed to them and she said "I'm honored to welcome you home." Lucy said "I don't understand what's going on" and Natsu was muffled because some of the stuff wrapped around his mouth. Wendy said "who are you Happy and Carla I thought you were our friends."

Edo Erza said "we are grateful for you help in capturing the intruders" and in anger at being led into a trap by Carla I shouted out "I swear to god if I ever see either of you again I'll kill both of you with my bare hands" and the soldiers continued to drag us down the cave. Since I could just barely move my hand I grabbed my bag and without any of the soldiers noticing miraculously I managed to stuff it down my pants.

yet another chapter done which wow this was one hell of a doozy anyway the reason I put in that Natsu is to some degree Wendy's role model it's because compared to her he's the elder dragon slayer. In terms of power what he's at is what she strives to get to at some point. Anyway in the next chapter we'll be going over episode 83 of Fairy tail titled Extalia which I have a feeling that will be a Happy P.O.V. based chapter with very little bit of Hope thrown in at some point.
