Okay, so here's my problem with this story. I have a LOT more written, but . . . is it bothering anyone about Alyson's age? I mean, she's 18 at the moment and Dean is 27, so that is a huge age gap and it kind of runs through Dean's mind a lot as well.
I don't mind writing it that way because I still feel that she's an adult AND they aren't really around other people her age, so she kind of latches onto him. Doesn't mean she doesn't really love him, but is sort of because they are around each other all the time that Dean even starts liking her and lets himself be with her and the same for her.
What is your opinion on this? Is it bothering anybody? In real life, I'd be kind of "Eh" about it, but since they both waited until she was 18 I wouldn't have a problem. The only reason I ask is because I'm almost 32 and I still think of people under 25 as babies. I am a youth leader, though, so . . . that's probably why.
That being said, I have made Alyson mature for her age, so she acts like more of an adult than she might if she hadn't been pulled into the hunting life by losing her mom the way she did.
