It was now the next day and the young couple consisting of Yusaku and Aoi were at school.
"What Emma said… it really does make sense… She's doing everything she can to make my big brother happy. But what can I do to do the same for Yusaku? I can't pleasure him in a way that someone like her could unless I'm Blue Maiden- THAT'S IT!" Aoi then had a revelation and almost jumped out of her seat behind her desk. Once class had ended, Aoi went to Yusaku who was speaking with Shima.
"Yusaku!" Aoi called out which got the attention of the two boys.
"Aoi, is everything ok? You look excited." Yusaku asked.
"Maybe she has a great idea of how to help me improve my skills!" Shima said.
"Sorry but no. Actually Shima, I'm sorry to ask but could you leave us be for a bit? I need to speak to Yusaku in private for a bit." Aoi tried to be as polite as possible.
"Alright. I guess you two got lover stuff to talk about so I shouldn't overhear. See you guys later!" Shima said, he then walked away to leave the two to speak amongst themselves.
"So Aoi, what was it you wanted to talk about?" Yusaku asked.
"Well… tell me… can you make a private server in Link Vrains?" Aoi asked, being forward but not yet revealing her reason.
"Hmm…" Yusaku thought about it for a few seconds. "I suppose I could but it would take at least a week because of all the work that goes into it. Why do you ask?" Yusaku was curious as to why Aoi would ask such a question.
"Well… I think that would be a good idea for helping Shima with his training." Aoi said the most logical excuse that came to mind. She however was hiding her true intent behind the private server.
"That's a good idea actually. It will be a lot easier than going to random parts of the network to train him. I'll get to work on it right away." Yusaku answered.
As the school day came to a close, a certain man named after a gun was being annoyed by two of his knights behind him on the outskirts of Den City.
"Hey Faust, here's that coffee you asked for~" Baira said as she placed the cup of coffee down on a small plate next to Faust and then started moving her hands down inside his shirt to feel his chest.
"Baira...Not in front of the Captain. " Faust replied as the two were acting all lovey-dovey again right behind Revolver, much to his incredible annoyance.
"I am going to get some air." The leader of the knights said as he went out, leaving the two by themselves.
Suddenly a call was made to the leader of the knights' cell phone."Hm?" He picked up his phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, Ryoken. It's me, Yusaku. Aoi asked me to create a private server in Link Vrains but I realized that it's going to take me longer than I thought. I wanted to ask for your help." Yusaku explained.
"You have my interest, Yusaku." Ryokan replied. Honestly, anything to get away from the two lovers, but also something else…"I will help you, but under one condition…"
Sometime later, after the call had ended, Aoi walked into the room that Yusaku was working in and brought him some Unigery (Jelly filled donuts)
"Yusaku, how's the work going? I brought you a little snack to help you." Aoi said with a warm smile.
"Thank you, Aoi. It's actually going better than I thought it would." Yusaku said as he took a bite out of the Unigery.
"Wow, it really looks like you're progressing a lot!" She in reality had no idea how far Yusaku was and was simply trying to cheer him on.
"The thing is, I called Revolver for help because it was going to take too long by myself." Yusaku said, much to Aoi's surprise.
"I see… how did it go?" She asked curiously.
"He said he would do it but under one condition. He wants to duel me. I was actually about to meet up with him in Vrains right now to talk about it." Yusaku then quickly shoved down the remainder of his Unigery so it didn't go to waste.
"I understand. I'll do some cleaning around the house in the meantime. Stay safe ok?" Aoi asked.
"Of course and thank you Aoi. Here I go. Into the Vrains!" Yusaku shouted as he logged in.
As Yusaku logged inside the private server he was amazed by the created landscape. The surrounding area was, in one word, beautiful. For the default, that is. The surrounding area looked like an endless night sky illuminated with stars, a pale blue moon up in the sky. The ground below was not even ground, but water on which one could walk, their reflection is visible in the liquid along with that of the sky. It was...infinite, in feeling. A boundless frontier.
"So, you decided to come." Revolver said as he stood on the opposite side of Yusaku. "I must say, I am somewhat impressed with this server. I see you used data from the Cyberse to make it."
"Yes. Their data is rather high quality, so I figured it would make for a good choice." Playmaker said. "But we are not here to admire our work, Ryoken." He activated his duel disk.
"Indeed. We are here to have the final match between us." he chuckled. "Come to think of it, I haven't dueled you since the Tower of Hanoi." He looked at his duel disk. "Since then, we both have come a long way and evolved to new heights that our past selves could only dream of. Tell me, Yusaku, do you think your growth was thanks to Ai?"
Yusaku was taken back a bit by revolver using Ai's name instead of Dark Ignis, but he simply smiled and replied. "In a way, I do. However, I also know I helped him evolve as well."
"Oh? Good answer." Revolver replied. "Now, Playmaker, ready yourself!" He activated his duel disk.
The area around the 2 began to change and shift, the stars in the sky shining brighter and reflecting into the water as the sky was going from a dark midnight sky to a bright new dawn.
Playmaker: LP: 4000, H: 5 VS Revolver: LP: 4000, H: 5
"I will start!" Yusaku declared. "I activate the Continuous spell, Cynet Optimization! Due to its effect, I can now conduct a second normal summon during my turn!" He stated. "I summon Link Streamer!" A monster resembling a bird-like machine with solar panels for wings appeared on the field; 1600/1800, Level 4, Cyberse, LIGHT. "Then, due to Optimization's effect, I summon Lady Debug!" A more female monster with a slight mechanical appearance and 2 large ladybug-like wings on its back appeared on the field; 1700/1400, Level 4, Cyberse, LIGHT. "Lady Debug's and Link Streamer's effect! Lady Debug lets me add a level 3 or lower Cyberse to my hand whilst Link Streamer summons a token!"
A card popped out of Playmaker's deck and he grabbed it, then a small hatch opened in the abdomen of Link Streamer, allowing for a smaller version of the monster to pop out; 0/0, Level 1, Cyberse, LIGHT.
"Appear! The circuit that leads to the future!" The circuit appeared. "The summoning conditions are 1 level 1 monster. I set the token in the link marker zone! Link Summon! Come, Linkuriboh!" The link version of Kuriboh appeared, letting out a small 'Kuri' sound; 300/LINK-1, Cyberse, DARK, LM: B "Appear for a second time! The circuit that leads to the future!"
The circuit appeared, its shine being strong. "The summoning conditions are 2 or more effect monsters! I set Lady Debug, Link Streamer, and Linkuriboh in the Link marker zones! Link Summon!" From below the water, waves started to form, then the form of Decode Talker jumped out, its sword in hand next to himself; 2300/LINK-3, Cyberse, DARK, LM: B-R, B-L, T
"Oh? How nostalgic." Revolver noted. "If my memory serves me right, this was the first Link Monster you obtained with the help of Ai."
"Yes, it's a very important card for me." He replied, then he looked at his hand. "I set one card from my hand, turn end."
"Hmm. Getting one of your ace monsters on the field with a face-down card. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were being careful." Revolver noted, making Playmaker narrow his gaze. "So I was right. I do not condemn you, Playmaker. On the contrary, I praise you. You are not taking me lightly, which is good. But enough chatter...My Turn! I draw!" Revolver said, drawing his card. "Perfect! Since you control a Link Monster, I can special summon Gateway Dragon from my hand!" A serpentine dragon with 3 arms appeared, behind it standing a hexagonal gate; 1600/1400, Level 4, Dragon, DARK. " Gateway Dragon's effect! Once per turn I can special summon a level 4 or lower DARK Dragon from my hand! Come, Sniffer Dragon!" Another dragon, this time bipedal, appeared on the field, its arms, legs, and even face covered in some kind of armor; 800/400, Level 2, Dragon, DARK. " Sniffer Dragon's effect! I add a copy of itself from my deck to my hand! Appear! The future circuit that lights up our path!" The link circuit appeared above Revolver. " The summoning conditions are one level 4 or lower dragon. I set Sniffer Dragon in the Link marker zone! Link Summon! Striker Dragon!"
A blue dragon with no arms, 2 thin blue wings on its back, and covered in bulky armor appeared on the field; 1000/LINK-1, Dragon, DARK, LM: L " Striker Dragon's effect! I add the field spell, Boot Sector Launch to my hand!"
" He already got his field spell…" Yusaku thought.
" I activate the field spell, Boot Sector Launch!" Revolver declared as he activated his field, then the area began shifting, the reflection under him showing a high-tech hangar, same as the one depicted in his card. "My field's effect activates! I can summon 2 Rokket monsters from my hand! Come, Anesthrokket Dragon in defense mode and Autorokket Dragon in attack mode!" 2 rokkets appeared on the field, the first being green in color with its head looking like a tranquil dart; 0/2200, Level 1, Dragon, DARK. while the other had bronze-colored armor with its head resembling an average bullet; 1600/1000, Level 3, Dragon, DARK. "Due to my field spell, they both gain 300 attack and defense," 2200-2500. 1600-1900.
"Appear again, the future circuit that lights up my path!" The circuit appeared once again. " The summoning conditions are 2 dragon monsters including a Rokket! I set Anesthrokket and Striker into the link marker zones! Link Summon! Come, Quadborrel Dragon!" A dragon covered in yellow armor with thin green wings and shotguns for arms appeared on the field; 1000/LINK-2, Dragon, DARK, LM: L, B. "I activate Quadborrel's effect! I discard one card to target and destroy one monster on the field! I target Autorokket Dragon for this effect! Then Autorokket's effect activates! When this card is targeted by a Link monster's effect, it destroys itself and destroys one spell or trap on the field!" Autorokket turned itself into a bullet and went into the barrel of one of Quadborrel's arms. " I target your set face-down!" The dragon fired, destroying the face-down. "Due to Quadborrel, I cannot Link Summon Link 2 or lower monsters for the rest of the turn. But! The effect of the Absorouter Dragon I discarded activates! I add one Rokket to my hand!" A card appeared over Revolver's duel disk, and he grabbed it, gave it a look, then smirked.
"Playmaker, remember that I have yet to normal summon for the turn." He smirked. "I summon Hibernation Dragon!" A serpentine dragon with thin blue wings and a square black chest with green lines and exposed rib-like extensions appeared on the field; 600/1500, Level 3, Dragon, DARK. "Appear! The future circuit which lights up my path!" The circuit appeared once again. "The summoning conditions are 3 or more effect monsters! I set Gateway Dragon, Quadborrel Dragon, and Hibernation Dragon in the Link Marker zones!" The water below started to boil before Revolver. "Link Summon!" Suddenly, the water shot up like a geyser. " My new wind that pierces through the closed world! Come, Borreload Dragon!" The loud roar of Borreload echoed all over as Revolver's ace took the field, the dragon towering over the field; 3000/LINK-4, Dragon, DARK, LM: L, R, B-L, B-R. It was summoned in the right Extra Monster zone from Revolver's point of view.
" Borreload…" Yusaku muttered.
"Battle! Borreload Dragon attack Decode Talker! Then I-"
"Cynet Optimization's effect! When my Code Talker battles my opponent cannot activate cards or effect until the end of the damage step!"
"Oh? I see. That prevents me from taking over Decode Talker using Borreload's effect. But in that case my monster attack!" Borreload fired at Decode Talker, the monster blocking the attack with its sword, but the force behind the attack was too great for it to hold on.
Yusaku winced as the shockwave hit him, his life points dropping.
Playmaker: 4000-3300.
"I end my turn." Revolver said. "During the End Phase, the effect of the destroyed Autorokket activates, summoning Shelrokket on my field!" Revolver said as yellow Rokket appeared on the field; 1100/2000, Level 2, Dragon, DARK. He placed it in defense right in front of Yusaku's middle monster zone.
Playmaker: LP: 3300, H: 2 VS Revolver: LP: 4000, H: 2 (Known is Sniffer Dragon)
" My turn! I draw!" Yusaku exclaimed as he drew his card. He knew what to do. "I summon Pikari Ignister!" The yellow Ignister monster appeared on the field; 1200/600, Level 4, Cyberse, LIGHT. " Due to its effect, I add A.I. Contact to my hand and activate it! I shuffle Ignister A.I. Land from my hand into the Deck to draw 3 cards!" Playmaker did as the card stated, and drew 3 new cards, among them being another A.I Land. Lucky. "I activate the newly drawn Ignister A.I. Land!"
Above Yusaku, 6 fireworks shot into the sky, each with the color of one of the Ignis. " Appear! The circuit that leads to the future!" The circuit appeared, Pikari going into it. " Appear! Linguriboh!" The meaner version of Linkuriboh appeared on the field; 300/LINK-1, Cyberse, DARK. " Then, since I control no other monsters, I can special summon this using the effect of A. ! Come, Achichi Ignister!" The red Ignister appeared on the field; 800/800, Level 2, Cyberse, FIRE. "Achichi's effect! I add one Ignister from my deck to my hand!" A card popped out of his deck, then he took it. "I add Doshin Ignister and summon it using its own effect!" The earth Ignister appeared on the field; 100/800, Level 1, Cyberse, EARTH. "Doshin's effect! I target Decode Talker in my graveyard and send it back to my extra deck in order to add A.I. Love Fusion to my hand!"
"So, it's true that you have Ai's deck." Revolver said, then he smirked. " You mixed the 2 decks together. Interesting. I also see you managed to master the Ignister deck. But you won't get your summoning chain since you summoned Doshin to the zone right in front of Shelrokket. I use Borreload's effect! I target Shelrokket! Then Shelrokket's effect triggers! I destroy it and destroy the monster in the same column as itself, then I destroy all monsters in the zones next to it!"
Shelrokket exploded, taking down both Doshin and Achichi with him.
Yusaku remained silent for a second, keeping his calm. "Revolver, do you think you could've defeated Ai?"
"Of course I do!" The leader of the Hanoi replied with strength. "The stakes were too high for me to lose!"
"I see...Revolver, know that right now you are not dueling only me, but Ai as well!" Yusaku declared. " And I am going to make sure I use his deck to its fullest! I activate the spell card, A.I. Live! Since you destroyed a monster on my field using card effects this turn, I can summon those monsters back to my field with their effects negated and attack and defense reduced to zero!" The monsters that were just destroyed appeared back no the field. " Appear! The circuit that guides the dark!" The reflection below he grew dark as his 3 monsters sunk into the abyss. "The creation of dark shadows, gather in my hand, and become the source of rising vigor! Link Summon!" A sword erupted from the dark abyss, followed by the wielder of it. "Dark Templar Ignister!" The Ignister similar to Decode Talker took the field; 2300/LINK-3, Cyberse, DARK, LM: B-L, B, B-R. "Since the monsters revived by the effect of A.I. Live were used to Link Summon, I banish the spell in order to draw 1 card from my deck!"
"Ai's ace." Revolver noted with a smirk.
"I use the effect of Cynet Optimize!" Playmaker stated. "I summon Data Salvager!" A monster resembling a human wearing an old diving suit appeared on the field; 1300/900, Level 4, Cyberse, WATER. "Due to its effect, I special summon Lady Debug from my grave!"
The female monster reappeared at the bottom of one of Templar's links. " Lady Debug's and Templar's effects activate! I add one Level 3 or lower Cyberse from my deck to my hand and summon as many Ignister monsters from my grave as possible with their effect negated! Come, Achichi and Doshin!" The 2 Ignisters appeared on the field once again. " Appear for a second time! The circuit that guides the dark!" Once again, Yusaku's monsters, except for Doshin and Dark Templar, were taken by the abyss, but then a light appeared within it, followed by the water they were standing on to boil and let out steam. " With burning spirit arise again, for your spirit is immortal as the very flame itself! Link Summon!" A red haze erupted from beneath, revealing the phoenix-like monster summoned. "Fire Phoenix Ignister!" 2300/LINK-3, Cyberse, FIRE, LM: L, B, R. " Next I use A.I Love Fusion to fuse Borreload with Doshin-"
"I activate the effect of Night Scope Dragon in my hand!" Revolver interrupted. "If a monster I control would leave the field because of an opponent card effect, I can discard this card, then I can Special Summon that monster right back, then I draw cards equal to the attack of the next monster you summon. 1 card for each 1000 attack points it holds."
Yusaku clicked his tongue. In the end, Revolver's Borreload will not be removed. But he kept going. Both monsters were taken by the abyss below once more, but this time a whirlwind began, blue and red particles dancing within it. "The earth sings in harmony! Bring forth the awakening of the giant of destruction! Come, Earth Golem Ignister!" The whirlwind eventually stopped, then a giant arm grabbed on to the side, allowing for the giant fusion monster to emerge; 2300/2000, Level 7, Cyberse, EARTH.
"Due to the effect Night Scope, Borreload returns!" Revolver's dragon emerged from the water below. "Then, since your monster has 2300 attack points, I draw 2 cards!"
" Since I failed to get rid of Borreload I have to use plan B…" Yusaku muttered. " Battle! Fire Phoenix attack Borreload!" The phoenix charged forth. " Then I use Achichi's effect in the grave to destroy Phoenix!" The monster vanished right before making contact with Borreload, but it left behind the fire. " Fire Phoenix's effect! When it is destroyed by a card effect, I can destroy one monster you control!" The flames enveloped Borreload Dragon, the monster falls.
Revolver clicked his tongue in annoyance. That was a smart move.
"Battle! Dark Templar attacks you directly!"
" I summon Chobham Armor Dragon from my hand!" A bulky dragon covered in green armor appeared on the field;0/0, Level 1, Dragon, DARK. " When you attack me directly, I can summon this card in attack mode, then for the rest of the turn it cannot be destroyed by battle and all battle damage involving it is halved!"
Dark Templar struck the monster, but the dragon's armor held on. However, the shock did pass, hitting Revolver.
Revolver: LP: 4000-2850
"Earth Golem attacks!" The same scenario repeated itself, with Yusaku's monster attacking and Revolver's holding on despite his life points dropping.
Revolver: LP: 2850-1700.
"I end my turn." Playmaker said.
Playmaker: LP: 3300, H: 1 VS Revolver: LP: 1700, H: 2 (Known is Sniffer Dragon)
" Not bad, Playmaker." Revolver commented as he got up, the surrounding area starting to grow brighter as the digital sun began to rise. " I see you were meaning to end my that turn. Your strategy was solid, however, you are not the only one who has grown since our last duel." He grabbed his card. " My turn! I draw!" Revolver drew his card, and then looked at it, a smirk on his face.
"During the Standby Phase, Fire Phoenix returns!" Playmaker shouted as the monster appeared again.
"Playmaker! Allow me to show you a true monster! I summon Sniffer Dragon!"
The second copy of the previous monster appeared on the field. " Due to its effect, I add the last copy of it from my deck to my hand!" Revolver then took a deep breath. " Appear! The future circuit that lights up our path!" The circuit appeared above him. "The summoning conditions are 2 DARK dragons! I set my monsters into the link marker zones! Link Summon!"
From the circuit, a humanoid monster emerged dressed in futuristic armor, a vizor over its eyes whilst it held a scepter with 2 jewels hanging on it, one red and one blue. "Oscillator Dragon Master!" 1200/LINK-2, Dragon, DARK, LM: R, B. " I activate Oscillator's effect! If this card was Link Summoned, I tribute it in order to add 2 Rokket monsters to my hand! Then the effect of Chobham activates, allowing me to add a DARK monster back to my hand, then you can also add a monster back to yours." The monster vanished as Revolver got 2 new cards, then another one and Yusaku got 1. " I use Hibernation Dragon's effect! I banish it to revive Borreload!" Revolver's ace monster reappeared on the field. " Due to Oscilatr's effect, I banish it in order to normal summon again! I summon Rokket Synchron!"
A small dragon-like monster covered in light blue armor appeared on the field next to Borreload; 0/0, Level 1, Dragon, DARK, Tuner. " Due to Rokket Synchron's effect, I summon Absorouter Dragon from my graveyard!" A larger, more mechanical dragon emerged on the field; 1200/2800, Level 7, Dragon, DARK. "Level 1 Rokket Synchron tunes Level 7 Absorouter Dragon!" The stars above them began shining brighter as the 2 monsters went towards them, Synchron breaking down into a green circle while Absorouter did the same, but as a grey one. " Heroic Dragon! Fire by transforming your ferocious fangs into bullets! Synchro Summon! Come, Borreload Savage Dragon!"
The synchro monster which resembled a white version of Borreload appeared; 3000/2500, Level 8, Dragon, DARK. "Due to Absorouter Dragon's effect, I add one Rokket to my hand. Then, Savage Dragon's effect! I equip-"
"I was waiting for this!" Playmaker interrupted. "I activate the effect of Net Intern from my hand! I discard it, and during this turn, Link monsters on the field or graves cannot be affected by card effects, also, for each Link monster on the field when this card was activated, I draw 1 card!" Playmaker said as he drew 3 new cards.
" Oh? Impressive. That makes Savage Dragon unable to equip a Link monster to gain counters and an attack boost." Revolver noted. "But I still hold the most attack value on the field!" He stated. "I attack Templar using Borreload!" Revolver's monster opened its maw, a cannon extending out, then fired at Yusaku's monster.
Playmaker: 2600.
"Savage Dragon attack Earth Golem!" Revolver's dragon fired at Yusaku's monster, destroying it.
"Earth Golem's effect! When he is destroyed I get to resurrect a Cyberse! Come, Lady Debug!" the female monster appeared again. "Her effect adds another Level 3 or lower Cyberse to my hand!" Yusaku said as he got a new card.
" I end my turn with a face-down card," Revolver said.
Playmaker: LP: 1900, H: 5 VS Revolver: LP: 1700, H: 4
"My turn! I draw!" Playmaker said as he drew his card. He had a good set-up in mind. "I activate the spell card, Cynet Code Alternation! I target a Cyberse monster in my grave and summon a monster with the same summoning type next to a Link monster's link that I control ignoring its summoning conditions, but the summoned monster cannot attack this turn. I target Earth Golem! Come, Cyberse Clock Dragon!"
The purple-armored dragon with yellow crystal-like wings appeared on the field; 2500/2000, Level 7, Cyberse, DARK. "I activate the effect of cross X-Fuse-Z in my grave!"
"X-Fuse-Z?" Revolver muttered, then he remembered the card he destroyed at the start."I see…"
"I banish this card from my graveyard then target one Fusion monster in my graveyard. The targeted monster is then summoned on my field, and if I control another fusion monster I can make the levels of both monsters equal to the Rank of one Xyz monster in my Extra Deck." Playmaker stated. "I bring back Earth Golem! Then, since I control Cyberse Clock Dragon, I make both of them level 4! I overlay the now Level 4 Earth Golem and Cyberse Clock Dragon!"
Yusaku threw his arm back as the overlay network appeared behind him, his 2 monsters disintegrating into it. "The wall of power that annihilates everything! Manifest as the dragon's fang! Xyz Summon! Come, Firewall eXeed Dragon! " The Xyz monster resembling Firewall appeared on the field; 2500/2000, Rank 4, Cyberse, DARK, OU: 2.
"The Xyz." Revolver muttered, then remembered its effect.
"eXeed Dragon's effect! He gains 500 attack points for each Link a Link Monster that points to it has! Fire Phoenix has 3, so he gains 1500 attack points!" The dragon roared as its attack increased; 2500-4000.
"Battle! eXeed Dragon attacks Borreload Dragon!" Playmaker shouted.
"Borreload's effect! I target eXeed Dragon and it loses 500 attack and defense!" Revolver's monster fired a bullet at Yusaku's monster, but the dragon kept on charging forth, firing back at Borreload and destroying the dragon.
"I activate my trap card, Armament Reconditioning!" Ryokan shouted as the shockwave reached him, pushing him back. "Since Borreload was destroyed, I can summon it back and draw 1 card! However, Borreload's effects are negated!" The dragon appeared back on the field.
"I activate the effect of Flux Blocker in my hand! I discard this monster along with another card in my hand to allow eXeed Dragon to attack again! But in exchange, other monsters I control cannot attack."
"What?" Revolver gasped as eXeed attacked again, but this time it destroyed Savage Dragon.
Revolver: LP: 700.
"I am not done. During my Main Phase 2, I activate the spell card, Call of the Network!" Lady Debug vanished once again from the field. "I tribute one Cyberse monster on my field which has a level then declare the name of one monster in my opponent's Extra Deck, if that monster is there, it is sent to the graveyard!"
"Going after my Extra Deck as well?" Revolver asked.
"I declare Borreload eXcharge Dragon!" Playmaker said, causing Revolver to question his decision, but then he figured out why. eXcharge could revive his Link 4 monsters and weaken his monster at the same time. In combo with Borreload, that is a powerful combo. It even allowed Revolver to pin Lightning down even with Judgement Arrows.
Revolver sent his Xyz to the grave, but then his eyes shot open. "I activate the effect of Dragon Raider in my hand! Since a dragon monster was sent to my graveyard, I can discard this card to shuffle all cards in our hands into the deck, then we each draw cards equal to the link rating of one monster I control."
"What?" Playmaker said, not expecting this. He had a good hand now, and shuffling it now means losing his current strategies. But he obeyed and shuffled his hand, both duelists drawing 4 new ones.
"I set 2 cards face-down. I end my turn!" Playmaker said. He had the 3500 attack eXceed, the 2300 attack Fire Phoenix and 2 face-downs along with Cynet Optimization and his field spell.
Playmaker: LP: 1900, H: 2 VS Revolver: LP: 700, H: 4
All Revolver had was his field spell and Borreload. But that was about to change. " My turn! I draw!" Revolver said as he drew his card. "I use Boot Sector Launch's effect! I summon 2 rokkets from my hand!" Revolver's 2 monsters emerged. They were the same ones as before, Anestrokket and Autorokket. "Battle! Borreload attacks Fire Phoenix!"
"I activate the trap, Parallel Port Armor!" Playmaker shouted. "I equip this to Fire Phoenix to make him immune to battle-"
"Too easy! I activate the quick-play spell, Lost Bullet! I destroy Boot Sector Launch to negate and banish your Trap!"
"You are destroying your field spell?!" Suddenly, Fire Phoenix was shot down by Borreload, causing eXeed's dragon power boost to fade. 3500-2000.
Playmaker: 1200.
"Furthermore, I activate the quick-play spell, Rapid Trigger! I destroy my 2 rockets to Fusion Summon a monster from my Extra Deck! Playmaker, I thank you for returning it earlier when we searched for Ai…" He smirked. His 2 monster exploded in blue and red particles which shot into the sky above, the orange tind of it is shadowed by the new purplish glow that was forming. "The two forlorn anger that live in the network, surpass the root of evil and become one! Come! Borreload Furious Dragon!" Revolver's Fusion Monster appeared, its glare set on eXeed Dragon;3000/2500, Level 8, Dragon, DARK. "I attack eXeed Dragon with Furious!"
His monster charged into eXeed, destroying it. Playmaker was knocked back, shouting as the shockwave struck him. He got up, barely, looking forth at his opponent. "I activate my trap, Cyberse Beacon. Since I took damage, I add a Level 4 or lower Cyberse to my hand."
Playmaker: LP: 200.
"Hmm. I set 1 card face-down, ending my turn." Revolver said. "During this time, I would normally summon new Rokkets using the effects of the destroyed monsters, but since Borreloads effects are negated I choose not to."

"My turn! I draw!" Playmaker drew his card, then he knew what to do. His and Ai's ace monsters. "I use the spell, Extra Foolish Burial. I pay half my life points to send a monster from my Extra Deck to the graveyard. I choose Quantum Dragon." Playmaker said as he discarded his Synchro monster. "Then, I activate A.I. Dle Reborn to bring back Phoenix!" The Fire Link Ignister returned. "Then I special summon Hiyari Ignister!" The water Ignister appeared on the field; 300/400, Level 1, Cyberse, WATER. "I use its effect to tribute Phoenix to add A.I's Ritual to my hand, then since I tributed a Link monster, I also add Cyberse Magician to my hand!" Playmaker said. " Furthermore, Hiyari's level becomes 4." 1-4.
"I see, so Ritual is next." Revolver said.
"No, Ritual is next, but not the end." Playmaker corrected. "I bet all I have on this! I send Wind Pegasus Ignister and Light Dragon Ignister from my Extra Deck to the graveyard, as well as Water Leviathan from my deck, and tribute all monsters I control in order to use the effect of the spell… A.I.'s Love!"
"I can only activate this card when three of the six Ignister ace monsters are in my graveyard. I can send the other monsters needed and tribute all monsters I currently control to use it." Playmaker shouted as the biggest Link circuit yet appeared above the field. "I banish 6 Ignister monsters summoned from the Extra Deck with different names to Link Summon!"
"Link Summoning using monsters in the grave?!" For the first time during the duel, Revolver was truly shocked.
"I use Dark Templar, Light Dragon, Fire Phoenix, Water Leviathan, Wind Pegasus, and Earth Golem to Link Summon Firewall Arisen Ignister!" Playmaker shouted as the circuit lit up with a rainbow of colors, the surrounding area changing now from an endless ocean into a vast field full of life as the new monster came to live.
"Born from the wishes of everyone and the grief of the lonely, break through the closed world and become real! Link Summon!" A light orb descended in the middle of the field and from it the new monster revealed itself. It resembled Firewall Dragon at first but was larger and its armor was decorated with the blue gems that were present on the ignister monsters, its body slim and covered in pure white armor whilst its main body was black with white lines running through it, and its wings 6 in number, each shining with a rainbow of colors which was absolutely breathtaking; 3000/LINK-6, Cyberse, LIGHT, LM: T, T-L, T-R, B, B-R, B-L.
" A Link 6?!" Revolver gasped seeing the monster
"When Firewall Arisen is summoned, I discard one card, in this case, Cyberse Magician to use its effect! It gains 1000 attack points for each different summoning type I have in my graveyard! I have Link, Fusion, Xyz, Synchro, and Ritual, so it gains 5000 attack points!"
The dragon roared out as its attack increased; 3000-8000.
"You never cease to amaze me, Playmaker. But it is a wasted effort! I use Furious' effect to destroy itself and Firewall Arisen!" Revolver said as his dragon charged in.
"Firewall Arisenis unaffected by the effects of non-Link monsters!" Playmaker said, causing Revolver to flinch. His dragon crashed into Firewall, but the Link 6 survived unharmed.
"I didn't want to have to go this far, but I guess I was too arrogant...Playmaker! Witness my new power! I activate my trap card, Extra Charge!" The sky grew dark, the glow of Arisen the only source of light currently present. "Since I have a Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz in my graveyard…" Revolver's monster, Borreload, started to act strangely, its armor began to glow as if getting heat up. "I can banish this card and Borreload in order to special summon one Borrel Link monster which is one Link Rating higher than Borrelaod from my Extra Deck while treating this as a Link Summon and ignoring summoning conditions!" Revolver pointed upwards, seeing a Link Circuit appear above himself. "The ultimate bullet! Fire with your will and pierce through the closed world! Come!"
Before the arrows could lit up, a new monster emerged from the circuit, shattering it. " Borrelend Dragon!" A monster similar to Borreload Dragon emerged, however, this one was bigger and with 3 heads instead of one, its armor covered in multiple weapons of mass destruction; 3500/LINK-5, Dragon, DARK, LM: B-L, B-R, T, R, L.
"A Link 5?!" Yusaku gasped.
"Playmaker, this is my power." Revolver said as his dragon roared out.
"No matter! Firewall Arisen! Attack Borrelend Dragon!" Yusaku's monster spread its arms around, its wings gathering energy that condensed itself in the center of its chest. "Nirvana Light!"
Arisen shot forth the beam at Borrelend, but Revolver smirked. " I use Borrelends effect! I target Night Scope Dragon in my grave, who is always treated as a Rokket monster, and Arisen! The effects of Arisen are negated and I summon the other targeted monster! You cannot activate cards or effects against the activation of this effect! Rechargement!" Borrelend shot back from one of its mouths, striking Arisen. But strangely, Night Scope did not appear back. Also, Arisen's effects had not been negated. "What?!"
"Revolver, I knew you would try to counter me. I did not expect your Link 5, but Ai did." Playmaker said. "Arisen's effect! Its summon cannot be negated, and if I used 6 different monsters with different attributes to summon it, its effects also cannot be negated as well!"
"What?!" Revolver gasped at the fire from the 2 dragons met, meeting in the center of the field and creating a bright light at the point of collision." I must say, this was truly a great duel, Yusaku." Ryoken said with a smile on his face.
"Indeed, Ryoken." The blast pierced through, striking Borrelend dead on.
