Harry all but stomped into the Great Hall. He saw Blaise, already sitting with Hermione, going over notes from class. Ginny sat at the other end of the table with her group of girlfriends. They gave no clue to the fact that they were seeing each other.
Draco came up behind Harry, wrapping his arm around his waist, kissing the back of his neck, "Hi," he rumbled into Harry's ear.
A shiver spiraled down Harry's back, he leaned easily into the tall man behind him.
He would have gone with Draco anywhere, but remembered what Luna had said. He turned quickly to face the Slytherin. His eyes were dark, a weight in his stomach, hoping that Draco was as unaware as he was.
Draco didn't miss the look Harry was offering. He pulled them back into the corridor and found a corner.
"What's wrong?"
"Did you know?"
Draco swallowed, his Adams apple bounced, "Did I know what?"
Harry saw his eyes change from their normal bright silver to a shady grey, he already knew the answer.
"Did you know that Ginny and Blaise were seeing each other?" Harry asked in a level tone.
He understood that Ginny didn't want to tell him, and he could understand if Blaise didn't tell him in respect to GInny, but Draco had no excuse.
Draco's shaded eyes searched Harry's face, looking for a way out of this.
"Blaise asked me not to -"
Harry turned and walked away without another word.
"Harry, come on. Don't be like this." Draco was practically running after him. Except Malfoys don't chase people, people chase Malfoys.
Harry was taking the stairs two at a time, missing the trick step. Draco's longer legs allowed him to catch up easily once Harry was on level ground. He hooked Harry's arm and spun him around.
He pulled from his grasp and backed away. Draco pressed him against the stone banister, keeping his hands on either side of him.
Harry seethed with hurt, "Let me go Draco. Don't make me jinx you."
Draco laughed, "a 5 minute fight and we're right back to being enemies."
"Stop. I'm not joking." Harry pressed his wand to Draco's chest.
His smirk remained but Draco backed up, giving Harry space.
"There are way more fun things to do with your wand and your boyfriend than jinx him, you know."
"Why didn't you tell me? You should have told me." Harry said quietly, tucking his wand back into his pocket.
"Blaise asked me not to, Harry. What was I supposed to do?" he asked gently.
"Tell me, anyway, Draco. That should be obvious."
"I didn't think you would care that much," he shrugged, "you broke up two months ago."
"If you didn't think I'd care, you wouldn't have tried to hide it from me when I asked."
"Why do you care? We are together. Who Ginny is dating shouldn't matter to you anymore!"
"Ginny is always going to be in my life. Accept that, now. She isn't going anywhere, I'll always care for her. Being jealous won't do anyone any good-"
Draco scoffed loudly, "this is not a jealousy thing."
"No?"
Another scoff, "No. Malfoy's aren't jealous." he said matter-of-factly.
"Jealous or not, the point is, you should have told me."
"And betray Blaise?"
"So betray me, then?"
"Am I supposed to choose between you and my best mate? How's that fair"
Their voices were raising now, 'the only saving grace', Harry thought in the very back of his mind, 'is that most everyone's at dinner.'
"I would choose you in a heartbeat." Harry spat out.
Across the corridor, Draco's face softened, his mouth, an angry line a moment before, turned up into a small smile.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you." Draco finally managed.
He closed the distance between them, gingerly grabbing Harry's hands. He leaned his forehead against the lightning bolt scar etched above Harry's eye.
Harry released a deep breath, relaxing again at the touch of Draco.
"It's fine. I get it. I'm sorry I got so angry. I would never ask you to choose between us."
Draco pulled Harry's face up to his, "I'd choose you in a heartbeat." he whispered against Harry's lips. Harry pushed forward, melting their mouths together. He lightly sucked on Draco's bottom lip.
Draco laced one arm behind Harry and pulled him up on the railing behind him, and standing between his legs.
They deepened their kiss, Draco held fast to Harry's waist and pressed his chest against him.
"Come to my room," Harry mumbled between breaths.
