A/N: I hope y'all liked the latest chapter! I just know how much y'all love those cliffhangers, but I'll try not to overdo it on this chapter. It is running a bit late, but this week will be a bit busy as I prepare for a school week in Austin.

Anyway! Y'all read and review! Let me know what y'all think!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything Code Lyoko, all credits of the original story go to the creator of Code Lyoko and Jeremy Belpois, the author of the books.

Sittin' In A Tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Recap:

Suddenly the girl froze, her body digitized before she screamed. The distorted scream forced the code Lyoko warriors to cover their ears. Even Jeremie had to pull off his headset in slight pain. "What's happening?" He demanded, trying to get his voice over the scream. "Guys?! What's going on?"

Odd stood up, his ears covered as he tried to head over to Dahlia. "What…what are you doing to her?!" He yells to Jeremy. "Why is she-".

Chapter 24: Hickory, Dickory, Dock

Odd sat up in bed. He urgently searched his room with frantic eyes that darted from wall to wall to corner to dark corner. His breathing hitched as his hands fisted the blankets that had covered him. "O-one…." he gasps "h-hundred… N-ninety-nine…" It had been a while since the teen had struggled with a nightmare like this. Had all of it been real? "Eight-nine…" The numbers seem to get easier the closer they got to one. Carefully he took a calming breath before taking in his surroundings once more. It was dark outside, but his roommate's bed was empty.

He frowns before carefully getting up and grabbing his phone. "Did we have a X…" his eyes widened. "Dahlia…" He dialed Jeremy.

The Einstein of the group answered at the second ring. "Odd, you're awa-"

"What happened? Where is she?" Odd bombarded him with questions. "Well? What-"

"Odd!" Jeremy spoke with slight frustration. "She's fine… but her screams devirtualized all of you." He was quiet before speaking again, "Except Aelita."

Odd's face seemed to drain of color as he stood in his room. "What…? Then where is-"

"She has her. She took her. X.A.N.A. took her." He conveys to him. "I'm going to get her back."

"You mean we," Odd corrects. "Where are Yumi and Ulrich?" He asks. "Are they in Lyoko looking for her?" Already he'd gotten over his shock, heading over to the factory as fast as he could. "Does this mean the anti-virus didn't work?"

A slight huff was his reply.

"So then you fix it and we go rescue the princess from her…" he pauses, unable to call Dahlia the evil step sister, though in this case she kind of was, minus the sister part. "We'll save them both." The blond decided aloud.

"Just…get over here then." Jeremy tells him before hanging up.

..

Aelita moans softly as she came to. All she could remember were bits and pieces of what happened; the screaming, Lyoko flickering, her friend's devirtualizing, and lastly, Dahlia-No, X.A.N.A. She frowns lightly as she tried to figure out where she was. "Jeremy… Jeremy can you hear me?" She asks softly. "Jeremy…?"

The pinkette bit her lip, worry coating every fiber of her being. "Dally…?" She says softly. Slowly, she walked around. If she could just figure out her whereabouts, maybe then she could head back to a tower to get in contact with Jeremy. She looked around, doing her best to stay out of sight from X.A.N.A.'s monsters. She shuddered as a Creeper slithered passed her. There was only one place she'd ever seen them, the fifth sector. A gasp escaped her, how would she get out of here without any of the vehicles?

She'd never come across a tower, but somehow she couldn't help but think that there had to be one. How else would X.A.N.A. get any work done when hiding out here? She couldn't help the frown the frown that came to her face. "X.A.N.A…." Somehow she never believed that Dahlia could actually be X.A.N.A., especially after the stunt she'd just pulled. Plus speaking with that monotone voice, which had to mean X.A.N.A. was a program that had control over Dahlia, but how? How did X.A.N.A. ever gain control of her, and how did Aelita never know about her until Dahlia revealed herself?

Aelita sighed. There were too many unanswered questions that she had. Aelita remembered her uncle, but the memories were still fuzzy. She couldn't recall why he wanted her mother and her so badly. The look he'd given them… She shudders from just the thought. Why had he wanted them so badly?

Immediately Aelita shook her head. She couldn't think about this now. She had to find a way out of here! Or at least find a way to contact Jeremy. The pink haired girl peeked out from behind a corner to make sure it was clear before dashing down a long white corridor. One way or another she'd get out of this place and make it back home.

..

A groan echoed in the scanner room as Ulrich slid down the tube. "I don't think we can take much more of this…" Every time they'd attempted to get close to the fifth sector, the only sector they hadn't checked, X.A.N.A. would devirtualize them! He couldn't stop himself from hitting the side of the scanner with his fist. "We have to find another way."

"I know!" The blond mutters with annoyance into his microphone. "And I'm working on it, but we'll need a distraction once I'm done."

Ulrich couldn't stop his glance towards Odd.

"Don't even think about it." Odd scowls. Just like the others, he was frustrated. It's not like they had a pause button for Lyoko and could just take break. "I'm going. I have to talk to Dahlia. I know she didn't do this."

"Sure she did," scoffs Yumi as she sat beside Ulrich. "She's just as bad, whether she is or isn't X.A.N.A."

His dark eyes narrowed. "She isn't! This isn't her fault! I know it isn't!"

"Of course it is," she says as she looks him in the eyes, "she admitted that she was X.A.N.A., to you. She kidnapped Aelita too."

"She had a rough hand dealt to her. You'd get it if you knew what she went through." He defends the virtual girl.

Ulrich raised an eyebrow, "Odd… do you have a crush on her?"

His cheeks reddened. "O-of course not!" He stammers, "I just mean that she was abused in her life."

"Wait… she was?" Jeremy asks. "What was her father's name again…?" He started typing before nodding to himself as if suddenly remembering, "Right. Jonathan Goodfellow."

"Don't tell me you're googling him." Ulrich sighs.

Quiet greeted him, piquing their curiosity. "Einstein?" Odd calls out.

"I'm so stupid! I should have checked this to begin with." He hit his forehead with the palm of his hand, then began reading, "Jonathan Goodfellow…his real name is Nathan, Nathan Spitzgerald. His daughter, Dahlia Goodfellow, or Dahlia Spitzgerald, was reported missing almost ten years ago. Her father said their home was broken into, and she was kidnapped. A ransom never came," he scoffs at that, "of course it didn't! She was in Lyoko with Aelita!" Jeremy continued reading again. "Not even a year after Dahlia went missing, Nathan/Jonathan disappeared, making people believe he was 'kidnapped' by the same people who took his daughter. There are pictures too.

"She looks almost like her picture…minus the streak in her hair…" Jeremy says, as he examined it. "Black hair and green eyes… like Aelita's eyes… I have a picture of Jonathan…Nathan," he frowns, "Blond hair and blue eyes."

The picture seemed to stare back at him with those soulless blue eyes and neat blond hair that didn't move from its place. He had good looks almost as if he was an avenging angel who had switched sides and sold his soul to the devil.

Another piece of the puzzle seemed to fall into place.

A/N: I hope y'all liked it! Did you see that twist coming? ;)
