The Games Continue
Blitzkrieg Boys won a match against The Majestics and were qualified for the next match. The next battle of Team Frozen Dark started 30 minutes later their first one. Their next battle was with Blitzkrieg Boys. The first match was between Spencer and Shinyu and it was won by Shinyu as she used her defense technique. Bladebreakers watched the first match, noticing how easily Shinyu convinced everyone that she is undefeatable. The next match was between Tala and Sianna.
"Without wasting any more time, let's see what kind of play arena this match is going to have!" DJ Jazzman announced. The projection of the roulette appeared and spun to choose Ruin City Field on Sianna's side and Glacier Field on Tala's side. The play arena changed to the fields. Sianna was ready with her spear. There was a hint of sadness on her face and she wasn't very happy with the opponent she had, Tala. Tala was as to how he was, cold as ice, but there was a hint of uncomfortable behavior on his face too. Maybe it was because she was fighting according to Boris' will. Yes, Boris didn't say anything or even contacted her but she was working according to his orders.
They both attached their beyblades on their launcher. Naomi cheered from outside joyously, "Rock the stadium, Sia!" Shinyu pouted and looked down without any reaction. The screen turned on showing both bladers at 100% of energy.
Three, two, one. Let it Rip!
Both their beyblades landed in the play area. Wolborg made a small crack on the ice on the Glacier field. Dragittarius landed on a broken building and jumped down to reach in between both the fields. Wolborg rushed to Dragittarius and hit it that made it fall back into the Glacier Fields. Both the beyblades started spinning in circles, in the circumference of the circle, where both of them are facing each other. The circumference started to become a hole due to the constant heat because of spinning. Both the beyblades started to get closer and reduced the diameter between them. The ice under them was crushing to be in the same hole. They crashed into each other and created a mist around each other. The sound of both the beyblades crashing and smashing into each other was heard in the mist.
The mist started to disappear and both of them were still crashing into each other. Their energy level dropped to 60 for Wolborg and 55 for Dragittarius. The audience cheered loudly for both of them, watching and liking the action down there. Tala grinned as his figure became shadowy with claws-like hands and he commanded, "Novae Rog!"
Wolborg released cold air and water vapor from its base and enveloped Sianna's beyblade. To their surprise, Dragittarius was still spinning quite speedily even after being frozen. Wolborg smashed the spinning beyblade and sent Dragittarius flying into the air, outside the play arena. As Dragittarius was about to hit the ground, it disappeared. Tala's Beyblade was in the Ruined City Field. Sianna smirked as her lavender eyes dilated and she said loudly to him, "I'm sorry, Tala, but I am not letting you win right now."
Wolborg's energy level was at 40 after the attack. Dragittarius was at 52 and it was nowhere there. Suddenly, from behind Wolborg, Dragittarius appeared and crashed into it creating a bright spark. Dragittarius' bit chip flashed with violet light and Dragittarius was released. A centuaride with a dark purple body and light violet fur, hair and tail, and lavender eyes came out with a bow and an arrow in her hand. Sianna's lavender hair started to move furiously with the wind to front of her shoulder. She commanded to her bitbeast, "Dragittarius! Poison Ice!"
Dragittarius' readied her bow and arrow as it pointed down towards Tala's beyblade. The bow and arrow started to increase in number around Dragittarius in hundreds and thousands. She shot her arrow and all the others followed like rain. All of it rained on Wolborg which was mostly missed as Wolborg started moving away. The Ruins were covered in ice and the ice was poisonous. The field could not be used by Wolborg. Wolborg went into the Glacier field and Dragittarius followed. Right then, Dragittarius' energy was knocked to 28 after the attack and Wolborg was at 24.
Tala knew he hadn't had enough energy for another attack but he was ready to take the risk. He commanded Wolborg again, "Novae Rog!" The cold air surrounded Dragittarius as the mysterious woman from Wolborg appeared for a moment but disappeared again. Dragittarius was frozen and smashed out of the arena. But Tala's energy dropped to 14.
"It's a tie!" DJ Jazzman almost made everyone deaf with his loud voice, "It means we are going to get another one of these awesome matches." The audience cheered and squealed. They loved Team Frozen Dark's moves and games.
Sianna sighed out of exhaustion and took a glance at Tala who looked at her once and got out immediately. She turned back to go out of the cameras and broadcasts' sights. Naomi came running downstairs, hugged her, and said, "Gosh! You were amazing. You definitely rocked it."
"Thanks," she replied and looked away. She pushed her away and went upstairs to their practice room. Naomi looked at her worriedly but then jumped joyously and said, "Oh, right! It's my turn."
Naomi came into the stadium. The crowd cheered for her. They might have forgotten that Naomi had left her sister and got into this team. Naomi didn't like the cheering much. She looked at her opponent, the grey-haired, lavender eyed boy, Bryan Kuznetsov. She whistled to get his attention and when he looked at her she just gave a mocking smile to him. Bryan sweatdropped to see how weird she was, thinking she was a bit crazy. Behavior differed between both the Katsuko sisters, he knew that but he didn't know it was like sky and water.
DJ Jazzman did some of his commentaries and the roulette spun to chose the fields- Forest Field in Bryan's side and Geyser Field in Naomi's side. Naomi waved to the fans that she made in the Shimla Tournaments. All of her fans cheered her, saying things like-
"We love you, Naomi!"
"Make it another awesome one of your matches!"
"Show us your bitbeast!"
The last one made Naomi all ready. The big screen turned on with their energy levels at 100%. Naomi snickered and pulled out her launcher. It was a yellow and white metal launcher that had a bull's head's symbol made on the front side that was facing Bryan.
Three, Two, One. Let it Rip!
Their game started with both the beyblades crashing into each other in front of the Forest Field which was decorated with a few boulders of different sizes and plain grass. Falborg took no time in dragging Taurus into the boulders and breaking them into pieces. Luckily, Taurus survived and was spinning wobbly. Naomi commanded to her wobbling beyblade, "Gear up Taurus." It no time the beyblade started to accelerate its spin and started spinning fast enough to not stop which, of course, dragged her energy level to 63. Falborg was still at 76% of energy but Bryan knew after his attack he would be winning. He had seen her fight and she wasn't a hard pill to swallow. Adding to this, Taurus's attacks were land type and Falborg's were of air, so it wouldn't be hard to defeat her.
Knowing Taurus was still at lower energy and was losing energy easily, Bryan decided on attacking with his Stroblitz Attack. The bit chip glowed with white light and Falborg was released. A white blinding beam appeared from the base of the beyblade and targeted straight to Taurus. Just when the beam was supposed to go through the beyblade, Taurus moved away and the beam hit a black boulder in the Volcanic Field and shattering into pieces. By this attack, Falborg was at 50% of its energy and Taurus was still at 60%.
"Now that you are done, hon," Naomi said with a smug on her face, "The spotlight going to be on me." Her beyblade's bit chip shone with a black spark and Taurus was released. The bitbeast that used to have a hazel body and brown fur had now turned into an ashen black bull that had a white bone-like structure on its head and its back. With that horrific yet splendid sight, Taurus started to make a very high pitched screech. It felt like they were getting a headache and the safety barrier was actually making the screech reverberate inside the play arena with very little of it going out to the audience. Suddenly, Bryan felt a lot tired than he usually does as if he didn't have the energy to continue. Not only it was affecting Bryan, it was affecting Naomi too, but she knew how to not get tired. The sound was still piercing through her eardrums and giving her a headache.
The screech stopped when Falborg's energy dropped to 17. Bryan felt very tired that he forgot he was in a match. Naomi did a smash attack to throw Falborg out of the fields. There was a beep after it fell out and the audience applauded.
"The spotlight is one you, Naomi!" DJ Jazzman cheered on the microphone, "Bladers! Team Frozen Dark won the battle." Naomi was exhausted but she smiled anyway to the cheering audience. She sighed tiredly and walked out of the stadium. She thought, 'Joh didn't see any of this, I guess.' She looked up to see Joh standing in front of her. He ran to her, grabbed and picked her up in his arms, spinning her round and round. He stopped and kissed her forehead. She smiled and said, "I guess you did see my match."
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," he said and hugged her.
In the evening, Naomi sneaked out to her backyard. There was a woman who had crouched down and was playing with a kitten. Naomi touched her cat ears that were on top of her head. She startled and turned to her. She was wearing a black and white mask that covered the left side of her face. She had long brown hair that was tied into a long braid. She was the Maiden of Death.
"Mew mew!" Naomi smiled and called her. She did not know her by the name 'Death'. Death looked serious. She took off her mask and smiled. Her left side of her face was covered in a black spiral design from her jaw to her eyes. She showed her shiny eyes filled with love and affection. She was a woman of her mid-forties. Naomi hugged her tightly. She patted her and said, "So, I should help you practice with those beyblade now, shouldn't I?"
Naomi nodded. She took her position and launched her beyblade. She did the same attack she did in the match. The screeching started and Naomi held her ears. Unlike her, Death stood still as it was not affecting her at all. Naomi's beyblade stopped spinning and she sighed. Death rolled her eyes and said, "Naomi, Beyblading is like a muscle. The more you will practice, the better it will become. But if you keep practicing one aspect of it, you will never truly grow." Naomi looked down disappointedly. Death kept her hand on her shoulder encouragingly and said, "You are doing fine, just keep practicing."
Naomi smiled. She thought for a moment and then asked, "Mew mew, what is it on your face? And who are you?" Death looked away and said, "I told you already Naomi. Don't ask me about my whereabouts and I will teach you to be a better beyblader."
"I am just asking because you go around with a sword in your hand," Naomi explained. Death pointed out Naomi's mistake and said, "It is a katana, kiddo."
"Yeah, whatever," Naomi scoffed.
Death had taught Naomi beyblading for a long time now. Death had always been so calm and serious during training her but was very affectionate after and before training. She never mentioned anything about Riri in front of Naomi while Naomi sometimes complained about Riri. Death always replied to these complaints in a very calm and considerate way, as if she doesn't know Riri at all. Death had always been hostile towards Riri but she was nice to Naomi. She knew Naomi and Riri were sisters but she treated both of them differently. Her reason for treating Riri like that was unknown.

So guys, how was it? You remember Death, right? She was in chapter 35 - Trust Me or Not. I said that I won't bring her in this story again but I just couldn't help. I wanted to show that Naomi and Death had interactions. Okay, the next chapter is Team Frozen Dark and Bladebreakers' very first face to face interaction, it is going to be exciting!
