Scene 24

Time went by and Kaiya didn't mention to anyone what she sensed the other night.

She was certain at all actually.

How should she be unless she went searching?

This made Kaiya uneasy.

The shinobi Asuma had been reported to be killed by members of the Akatsuki.

With this to happen, Kakashi was to take Asuma's place and help defeat the two Akatsuki members behind the attack.

Kaiya was bidding Kakashi good luck when he asked, "Kaiya, something is bothering you?"

She couldn't tell him.

"Just your mission." It was half a lie.

Kakashi hugged her.

"I'll come back, I always do," he reassured her.

Kaiya held him tighter and breathed in his scent.

After waving goodbyes Kaiya went back to her apartment.

Getting her equipment and backpack ready.

She had to find out herself.

Kaiya then went to Tsunade to explain.

"You really think Sasuke killed Orochimaru?" Asked Tsunade in thought.

Kaiya nodded, "I used to be able to feel Orochimaru always lurking. Now I don't feel him anymore. It was just in an instant he was just gone.' she looked down, 'Tsunade I have to find out." clenching her fists.

Tsunade stared at the girl.

"I figure you don't want to wait for Kakashi on this one do you?" she asked knowing the answer.

Kaiya shook her head no, "You know he wouldn't let me go." she smiled.

Tsunade sighed.

"Alright, but only as an investigation mission. And I need you to send word back from the wolves okay?' Tsunade then got up and hugged Kaiya. 'If I could, I would go with you Kaiya. You're the closest one I have to a daughter okay? Come back."

Kaiya nodded and went off.

On the way, she summoned Moro the Goddess of the Wolves.

"So we're going to him finally hunh?" Moro asked.

Kaiya sighed, "Maybe, You remember the Uchiha smell right?"

The wolf scoffed, "Can never forget the smell of fire."

"Alright, well take me to fire." and she got on top of Moro.

AN: So our Kaiya is finally looking for her own answers now, but what are her questions? How is the story thus far?
