Chris: Last time on Total Drama Island: the campers had to face their worst fear, literally. After some heartwarming bonding sesh, they found out that nothing they say is secret here. Some of them handled it pretty well, some not so much. Veronica managed to stand up for herself and her friends. In the end, Roxy was the only member of her team to fail the challenge and her teammates sent her to the dock of shame, but not before receiving a little present from Veronica. Who's going to drop out of the contest next? Find out tonight on Total. Drama. ISLAND!

The camera opens up on the island before showing the campers in the cafeteria about to be told about the challenge. They are all shown talking about their fears around the campfire. It cycles through Gene, Annalise, Wendell, and Evander facing their fears and then Desiree and Roxy failing the challenges. Veronica is shown getting off the boat and then yelling at her team for ganging up on Roxy. It then shows Roxy not receiving a marshmallow and the kiss between her and Veronica. The camera cuts back to Chris, who finishes his opening statement before the intro plays. After it finishes, the campers are shown grouped together near the beach. Chris is standing before them, ready to ruin their day.

Chris: Good morning, campers! How'd you all enjoy that last challenge?

A couple of them groan and shoot angry looks at him.

Chris: Great! Then I know you're gonna love this next one! Today, you're going to be taking a fun canoe trip to Boney Island! Once you reach the shore there, you'll have to bring your canoes all the way across the island, to the other shore. When you get there, you'll have to build a rescue fire that will be judged by yours truly. The first team to make it back here wins invincibility. Oh, and just one quick, little detail before you ship off. There is a spooky legend about Boney Island. They say that if you take anything from the island, you'll be cursed!

The campers gasp as they hear the word and, even though it's completely sunny out, lightning strikes nearby.

Chris: Well, have fun campers! Oh, and try not to get yourselves killed.

The campers start to walk to the beach, where the canoes are. Seeing that there are only so many, they decide to group up in small groups.

Gene: Oh, Harriett! Can we, uh, ride together?

Harriett: Sure, I don't see why not.

The two smile at each other and walk off to their canoe.

Gene (Confessional): You know, now that it's just going to be the two of us on the canoe, I might be able to ask her out finally.

Harriett (Confessional): Gene's always so nice to me during the challenges! I wonder why?

Bobby: Yo, nature man, me and you? One canoe?

Lyle: Sure, dude.

They high five and head on over. Peggy and Elicia gladly walk over to a canoe together, leaving just one for Desiree, Duke, and Annalise. Duke shrugs as the two girls jump into it and he pushes it into the water.

Annalise (Confessional): I so don't want to ride with the big sweaty ape and the blabbermouth, but what choice do I have? I'll just tough it out until we get to the island and see if I can switch partners on the way back.

Desiree (Confessional): That Duke is so cute! I heard that he has a diary! Isn't that just wild?

Duke (Confessional): The champ is unsure about this matchup. Princess is only here to help herself for all I can tell.

Meanwhile, the remaining few gophers take a look and see that they only have 3 boats to share.

Leslie (Confessional): Okay, I gotta be honest. I may have a teensy tiny crush on someone at camp. I won't say who, though! Nobody can make fun of me that way!

Leslie: Hey, Evander! Wanna ride to Boney Island together?

Evander, who is already walking to a canoe with Percival and Wendell, turns to her.

Evander: Oh, uh, sorry little lady. Already taken for this challenge. Maybe next time?

Leslie: Oh! Okay! No biggie!

Evander (Confessional): Ever since the one night in the woods, Leslie's been trying to get real close to me. She's nice and all, but that just ain't my style. I like to fly solo.

Francis walks up to her and pats her on the back.

Francis: I'll be your partner, Leslie!

Leslie sighs and walks to the canoe as he follows, slightly offended by the sigh. Veronica, who's hood is no down, showing her dark red hair, and Hellen claim the last canoe and struggle to push it off of the beach.

Veronica (Confessional): I'm still slightly nervous about being on boats and all, but Roxy helped me face my fears in the past! There's no way I'm gonna let that fear take over my life again.

As all the campers are finally in their canoes and on the water, Chris is shown holding a racing pistol on the beach.

Chris: On your mark, get set, go!

He fires a blank into the sky and the campers start to paddle on ahead. The camera cuts to the boat with Francis and Leslie.

Francis: So, I know we don't really talk much at all and I thought this would be a great chance to change that. I like movies, do you? I've seen tons that we can talk about!

Leslie rolls her eyes and sighs as they continue to paddle onward. Francis looks down, saddened.

Francis: I get it, I'm a dweeb, you don't wanna associate with me. I get that one a lot. I'll stop talking now, sorry for bothering you.

Leslie looks a little sorry for how she's been treating Francis, and turns to face him.

Leslie: No, don't be sorry! I was being rude! You can totally talk about movies, I love movies! My favorite is Attack of the Killer Sandman 5: the Sand of all Things!

Francis: Oh, I love that one! Where the Sandman chases the hero down and just as he's about to get him, the hero turns around with a hose and says-

Francis and Leslie: Looks like you need a trip to the beach!

The two chuckle as the camera moves over to Bobby and Lyle. Bobby glances over at Gene and Harriett, who are talking together.

Bobby: I feel kinda bad for Gene, over there.

Lyle: Why's that?

Bobby: He's got this huge crush on Harriett, but every time he tries to ask her out, something gets in the way.

Lyle: Yikes, poor guy.

Peggy and Elicia are getting along nicely on their canoe.

Peggy: You know, I'm sorry that I wrote that thing about you in my diary a while back. I was just really stressed out.

Elicia: No problem! I'm sorry Lukas got sent home so early. You guys really seemed to get along with each other well.

Peggy: It is what it is, right? If I make it to the finals, I can still share the money with him and we can go on a cruise or something awesome like that.

Meanwhile, on Gene and Harriett's boat.

Gene: So, Harriett. I wanted to know if-

Harriett: Oh, look at that! there's a hawk up there! Hawks are the coolest bird by far, don't they just look awesome, up in the sky like that?

Gene sighs, defeated. The camera then pans over to Evander's canoe. He's peeking over at Francis and Leslie, who are talking it up. He looks a little annoyed as Wendell and Percival glance over at him.

Percival: What's the matter, Evander?

Evander: Ah, nothing. Looks like Leslie's having a great ol' time with the nerd over there.

Wendell: And? Does that bother you? Last time I checked, you didn't want anything to do with her.

Evander: Well, I dunno. It's complicated.

Percival: I don't know about that. She made it pretty clear that she was interested in you, though. And you essentially turned her down.

Evander: Alright, I get it. Take it easy.

Wendell (Confessional): Now, I don't have any real interest in everyone's love life on the island, but it's fun watching people get attached to each other and then ripped apart.

The camera pans over to the canoe with Annalise, Duke, and Desiree. Duke and Annalise appear annoyed as Desiree is talking all about all the happenings around camp.

Desiree: So, I totally caught the last campfire ceremony. That Veronica girl totally kissed Roxy! Weird right? Just wait til you hear about-

Annalise whacks her with her paddle, causing her to faint in the canoe as Duke gives her a smirk.

Duke: Thank god, someone did it.

Annalise: Yeah, I can only take so much Desiree in one dose.

The camera shows Hellen and Veronica's boat, which is awkwardly silent. Hellen is about to share a fun fact with her, but Veronica stops her before she can.

Veronica: Unless you or any of our other teammates can unvote my girlfriend off, I'm not talking to you.

Hellen: Look, it was nothing personal! We just had to vote someone off and she was the only one who didn't complete the challenge.

Veronica ignores her and continues to paddle.

Hellen: Look, I'm sorry, okay? But, being quite honest, I don't think Roxy would think it's cool of you to shun all of us over this! You won't get far if you don't cooperate with your team.

Veronica looks away as Hellen sighs. She eventually looks back at her.

Veronica: You're right, I'm sorry for being so difficult. Let's kick this challenges butt.

Hellen's face lights up and the two keep paddling as fog appears. All the campers look around, confused, as it starts to thicken. Chris's words about Boney island play over in their heads as the finally arrive upon it's shores. They start to pick up their canoes and the Gophers take the lead on their hike through the island. Evander comes to a screeching halt, causing most of his team to bump into him.

Hellen: What's going on up there?

Evander: Looking like there's a couple mammoni's hiding in the bushes over there.

He points at the bushes as several pairs of beady eyes appear. Woolly Beavers jump out of the bushes, causing the team to scream and run backwards as the Bass pass them.

Duke: Aw, yes! The champ is taking the lead!

They then notice the beavers as well and run off to the side. The beavers chase after the Bass as the Gophers turn around again and keep going. They eventually come to a fork in the road.

Leslie: Hmmm, should we go left or right? Both options are super tempting.

Evander: I think we should-

Francis: Let's go left! Like the hero says-

Francis and Leslie: Quicksand may be in front of you or to the right, but never the left!

The two chuckle and lead their team onward as Evander looks puzzled.

Evander: What happened between those two? They seem like two peas in a pod. I bet she's already forgotten about me.

The Bass start to catch up and notice the split paths.

Lyle: We finally got away from those great beasts? Which way do you fellas wanna go?

Elicia: Ooh! Go right, I see the other team going left.

The Bass take the right path. As they continue down it, Gene steps into a huge pit of quicksand and immediately panics.

Chris (Confessional): You know, I was wondering who would step in that and I thought it might be Gene. I was honestly hoping it would be Annalise, but whatever.

Harriett: Oh no! Wait, I got just the thing!

She digs around in her pack, pulling out a grappling hook. She sends the hook over a tree branch, locking it in place, and drops the rope over Gene, who is able to pull himself out. Her team cheers for her as they continue on the path.

Gene: Thanks, Harriett! That was awesome!

Harriett: No problem! But less talking, more running!

The Gophers are the first to make it to the beach as they are trying to start a fire with a couple of twigs. Harriett grabs a perfectly packed fire starting kit, and gets a small blaze going very quickly. Chris is flying over them and he gives her a thumbs up. The teams scramble to gather more sticks to get the fires even larger, as Bobby sees a stone mask in a bush. He tries to think back to what Chris said earlier, but he can't seem to remember. He grabs the mask, and stuffs it in his pocket.

Bobby (Confessional): I feel like I'm throwing away my humanity, yo.

As the fire building is coming to a close, Desiree is snooping around in Harriett's pack. She notices a small vial that says flammable on it.

Desiree: Oooooo...

She drops it into the flame, causing it to double in size, and clearly outrank the fire that the Gophers made. Chris flies slightly lower to congratulate them.

Chris: Looks like the Bass have won the fire building part of the challenge! Better head on back quick, before it gets too dark.

Both teams rush to the shore and start paddling as fast as they can to head back to Camp Wawanakwa. The Bass take a huge lead as the Gophers are stuck in a whirlpool. Suddenly, Percival comes up with a plan. He grabs all three paddles from his boat and uses them to speed up all of the canoes in the whirl pool. Once they hit top speed, he quickly changes their angle and they are shot out of the whirlpool, landing on the beach just before the Bass make it back. They look dismayed as they realize they've lost the challenge.

Bobby: Hey guys, I know we lost and all, but take a look at what I found on that creepy island.

He reveals the mask to them and his team gasps.

Annalise: Chris said not to take anything from the island or you'd be cursed! You dimwit, we lost the challenge because you couldn't keep your grubby hands in your pockets!

Bobby shrugs as his team shows their disapproval. The camera cuts to them sitting at the campfire ceremony as Chris brings a plate of 8 marshmallows.

Chris: Bass, you lost the challenge today. I know you had a nice lead from the rescue fire portion, but the Gophers totally blew you out of the water. One of you is going home tonight, but it's not...Harriett...Gene...Annalise...Duke...Peggy...Lyle...or Elicia.

The bulk of the team grabs their marshmallows as Bobby and Desiree sit on the stumps, slightly frightened.

Chris: You know, Bobby, I mentioned one rule about this challenge and you still managed to break it. You're, like, totally cursed for life now, dude. The last marshmallow goes to...Desiree.

Desiree walks past Bobby, smugly, and grabs her marshmallow. Bobby gets up from his seat and starts to walk to the boat of losers.

Gene: My man, it's been an honor working with you.

Harriett: Goodbye, Bobby! Your food talent was kinda gross, but you're a cool dude!

Lyle: Oh god, I think I'm gonna cry...

Desiree: Bobby, wait!

He turns around, hoping that she would confess her love for him or something of the manner.

Desiree: The whole camp totally thinks you need a shower!

Some people chuckle as Bobby jumps on the boat, getting sent off the island forever.
