Narcissa's least favorite classes are the ones that she has to share with the Gryffindors. In all honesty, she's not like the other Slytherins. She doesn't mind them just because they're Gryffindors. In fact, she doesn't care about them at all.
There's one Gryffindor, though, that Narcissa hates. She's never talked to her, but Narcissa still hates her with every ounce of her being.
Narcissa hates the slight wave of her red hair, the way her emerald eyes flash when she gets a question right, or the sprinkle of freckles across her nose and cheeks. If she wanted to, Narcissa could write poetry about how she looks and how much she hates her.
Yes, Narcissa doesn't like Lily Evans at all.
For some reason, though, she can't help but have her eyes wander over to her every so often in class. For some reason, Narcissa finds herself staring into space and then realizing that she's actually staring at Evans. It's terrible when Evans catches her doing that. Evans gives her a little wave of her fingers, and it honestly upsets Narcissa so much that her heart starts beating faster, and she feels so angry that she's nervous. She wonders if any of her friends get so angry that they're nervous.
One time, she tells Andromeda about it. Evans is a Mudblood, so Narcissa wouldn't dare tell anyone else that she's been looking at a Mudblood more often than not. Andromeda, though, Narcissa trusts to not tell her secret.
Andromeda laughs when Narcissa tells her how much she hates Evans, and Narcissa is confused. Andromeda then says that it doesn't sound like Narcissa hates Evans. In fact, Andromeda accuses, it sounds like quite the opposite. And —
Oh.
Narcissa hates Lily Evans because she has a crush on her.
She's not sure what to do with that.
