A/N: KawaiiCutie12: Yes! Chaka and Kopa are my favorite brother duo too! Nala did produce good cubs that now turn into an awesome duo. She should be proud of what she's produced, even if she's not happy with who their fathers are. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't too disturbing for you. And yeah, if people do complain, I would just tell them to read other people's stories or to just not read it at all. Thank you for the advice :)

Anyways, here is Chapter 25 for you all! As always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. Without further or do, here is Chapter 25.

Chapter 25: Suspicious Lion

Three months passed and it was finally time for Kovu to do his mission. Just then Zira came onto the scene. "You are ready," Zira said with an evil smile. "Nice," she said, her words echoing as she circled around an almost fully grown Kovu. "Very. Nice... You have the same lackness in your soul that Scar had.

"What is your destiny?" Zira said.

"I will avenge Scar," Kovu said. "Take his place in the Pride Lands."

"Yes," Zira said, nodding her head. "What have I taught you?"

"Simba is the enemy," Kovu said, the venom clear in his voice.

"And. What. Must. YOU. DO?!" Zira said, her smiling getting larger.

"I must.. KILL HIM!" Kovu said. Zira's most loyal followers then roared, knowing that Simba will be dead in the spot.

Meanwhile back in the Pride Lands, it was now time for Kiara's first hunt. Simba sighed, very nervous, and worried for his daughter as Nala went to his side. "There she is," Aisha said, looking up at where Kiara was at Pride Rock.

"Kiara," Rafiki said with a smile. Zazu landed on a branch and smiled at the princess. Timon hugged Pumbaa seeing how big Kiara has grown.

"It's your day," Nadia said as Kiara descended Pride Rock.

"My how you've grown," Kali said. Nala then walked to her daughter and nuzzled.

"You'll do just fine," Nala said smiling at her daughter. Simba looked down, appearing to be thinking of not keeping his promise as he was still worried. "Daddy?" Kiara said, getting Simba out of his thoughts and causing him to look at his daughter. "You have to promise to let me do this on my own. You promise?" Simba then looked at his mate, who gave him a look that he promised to let their daughter do this on her own.

"Alright," Simba said. "I promise." This caused Kiara to light up as she ran over to her father and nuzzled him which he returned. Timon and Pumbaa looked at each other and started to cry, much to Chaka and Kopa's annoyance who was sitting beside them. After a moment, Kiara then dashed off to where a herd of antelopes was. She looked back at her parents. Simba nodded, signaling that she can go, and Kiara ran off. Simba watched his daughter go. He was still worried if she would get harmed. He looked back to see if his mate or anyone was close by. When he saw that they weren't paying attention, he whispered to his best pals Timon and Pumbaa, "Make sure she doesn't get hurt." Upon hearing their body's words, the quietly dashed off to follow Kiara.

"I hope Kiara's going to be alright," Kopa said with a sigh.

"She'll be alright bro," Chaka said reassuringly. "Aisha and Kali did just fine in their first hunt. They were able to catch a fine-sized zebra during their first hunt." Aisha and Kali had their first hunt a while ago.

"I hope your right that Kiara will be ok," Kopa said, worried if Kiara will be alright. "But we should take a walk. The cubs went out to spend the day at the watering hole so I think we should patrol the lands since Simba will stay here."

"Yeah I agree," Chaka said nodding in agreement. "Let's go." With that, the brothers went down Pride Rock to patrol the Pride Lands.

An hour later of patroling Chaka and Kopa were now near the grasslands. Then suddenly Chaka smelled smoke coming from the direction of the Grasslands. "Why does it smell like smoke?" Chaka asked, putting his paw on his nose so that he doesn't smell the smoke.

"I'm wondering that too," Kopa said, also want to know why it smells like smoke. Then suddenly they realized there's a huge black smoke at the direction of the Pride Land and Outland border.

"Oh no," Chaka gasped.

"What?" Kopa said. "What is it Chaka?"

"I think that's Kiara," Chaka said his eyes wide. "I think Kiara is there."

"If she's there then we've got to help her!" Kopa cried out.

"Then what are we waiting for?!" Chaka exclaimed. "Let's go there and save our sister!" With that the brothers ran off full force to the direction of the big smoke, hoping that their sister wasn't harmed.

As Chaka and Kopa reached the huge smoke, the sky was now pure red as they were in the big smoke. "Why is it pure red around here?" Kopa wondered, looking around.

"I'm probably going to guess that since we're in the smoke, the sky is red," Chaka said.

"I guess you're right bro," Kopa said. "But we've gotta go find Kiara otherwise she'd be dead."

"I agree," Chaka said in agreement. With that, the brothers continued to search for Kiara.

A few minutes later of searching, they finally found Kiara. She was trying to get passed a male lion who had a black mane, brown coat, and dark green eyes. "Who is that lion trying to block Kiara?" Kopa asked his voice nearly a growl.

"Who freaking knows who this lion is," Chaka growled. "He definitely reminds me of father."

"He does," Kopa said with an agreement.

"What are you doing?" the male asked, looking at Kiara confused and causing her to stop in surprise.

"Kovu?" Kiara said, her eyes lighting up. Kovu gave her a smirk giving her the look that it was him. But before Kiara could say anything, Kopa finally came onto the scene growling, "And just who the hell are you?!" Kovu and Kiara spun around to see Kopa standing there, glaring at Kovu.

"Just what the hell do you think you are doing near my sister?!" Kopa snarled, advancing to Kovu. "And do you even realize that you're in the Pride Lands?!"

"I am?" Kovu said pretending to be surprised.

"You know damn well that you're in the Pride Lands," Kopa snarled, glaring at Kovu. "Now get out of the Pride Lands or so help me I will rip you to pieces."

"I am not leaving," Kovu growled.

"Then so be it," Kopa growled. "You asked for it. Now you're going to pay the heavy price." With that Kopa and Kovu lowered in a fighting stance. But before they could do anything Kiara cried out, "Kopa stop!" Both Kovu and Kopa stopped as Kiara went in front of Kopa.

"Kiara what the hell do you think you're doing?!" Kopa snarled.

"Don't do it, Kopa!" Kiara cried. "Don't do it! I met Kovu when I was a cub. I know him. He's no threat. Please Kopa don't do this." Kiara gave her brother a pleading look, hoping that he could change his mind.

"Alright," Kopa said after a minute. "Only because you said so." With that Kiara went off to the side so that Kopa can face Kovu. Chaka then came onto the scene and went to Kiara's side.

"Alright then Kovu," Kopa said once Kiara was off to the side. "Let me make things crystal clear here. I am not friendly to those who hurt my siblings in any way possible. And if you're going to be Kiara's potential mate and if you hurt her I will come and kill you as I did to my sister, Kali's no good of a boyfriend. And if you're here to kill Simba then you have other males to face here. Am I crystal clear?"

"You are crystal clear Kopa," Kovu said, glaring at Kopa.

"Good," Kopa growled. "Oh and by the way," he said, turning back to face Kovu as he was about to leave. "If you want to get accepted into the Pride then you're gonna have to ask Simba-" But before Kopa could continue he heard a voice say, "Kiara!" The group turned to see Simba coming onto the scene. As Simba came onto the scene, Simba roared at Kovu, telling him to back off.

"Kiara, you're alright," Nala said, appearing onto the scene and nuzzling her daughter.

"Father how could you break your promise?!" Kiara demanded with hurt and anger in her voice.

"It's a good thing I did," Simba said, still glaring at Kovu. "I almost lost you." Then he turned to face his daughter and said firmly, "No more hunts for you not ever!"

"But I was doing just fine!" Kiara declared. "Even before Kovu-"

"Kovu?!" Simba interrupted, whipping his head to face Kovu. Both Simba and Kovu roared at each other.

"Hey!" a voice called out suddenly. "You!" This caused Kovu and Simba to turn around to see Rafiki standing on top of a rock. "How dare you save de king's daughter!" he called.

"You saved her?" Simba said, whipping his head to face Kovu again. "Why?"

"I humbly ask to join your pride," Kovu said.

"No!" Simba snarled. "I will not allow rogues in the Pride Lands."

"I have left the Outsiders," Kovu lied. "They kicked me out. I'm now a rogue. Judge me for who I am. Or am I to be blamed for a crime I didn't commit?" This caused Simba to pace back and forth a few times.

"Simba," Chaka said. "You do owe him Kiara's life."

"Yes sire," Zazu said, landing on a rock. "Clearly isn't this a dept. An exception has to be made." Simba then looked back at Kovu who closed his eyes.

"My father's law will prevail," Simba said, turning to head back to Pride Rock. "For now, I reserve judgment. We'll see who you really are." Simba then started to walk back to Pride Rock. Kovu then looked at Nala and Kiara, Kiara smiling at him while Nala looked a bit troubled.

"Hmph," Zazu said. "Riffraff." With that Zazu flew and followed Simba. Kovu then looked at Chaka and Kopa. Chaka and Kopa looked at Kovu for a second until their expressions turned into a glare, they're teeth clenched. Kovu glared at them back. After a few seconds, Chaka and Kopa turned and headed back to Pride Rock following Simba, knowing full well that Kovu, Nala, and Kiara were right behind them as they were heading back.

As they got back to Pride Rock, the sky was now dark. Chaka and Kopa entered the royal cave and went to their sleeping spot. They saw Simba growl at Kovu as he tried to go inside the royal cave, signaling Kovu to sleep outside. They also saw Kiara approach Kovu. Then they went to their respected sleeping spots in the royal cave and laid down beside their mates and cubs and went to sleep.

Later that midnight Nadra and Kali returned to Pride Rock after stargazing together. Then suddenly Nadra noticed Kovu sleeping near the entrance of the royal cave.

"Mom who is he?" Nadra asked quietly, pointing to where Kovu was sleeping.

"I don't know darling," Kali said. "I've never seen him before. I wonder why he's here."

"Well I hope he's not here to kill grandpa," Nadra said, fearing if Kovu will kill Simba.

"I hope he doesn't kill your grandfather," Kali said. "If he does then who knows what he'll do. But if he does then there are other males in the Pride. Your uncles and Penda's step-dad."

"You're right mom," Nadra said. "I just hope he's not harmful."

"Me too darling," Kali said. "Me too." After a few minutes, Nadra and Kali went inside the royal cave to get some sleep.

A/N: Well there you go! And yes, there was one change from what you would see from Simba's Pride. It's my story too so I have the right to change stuff.

Honestly, I don't trust Kovu at all. I'm siding with Kopa on this one. Kopa has every right to be suspicious. Kovu has only been in the pride for a few hours and who knows what he'll do. That's why I'm siding with Kopa on this one. If I was in the same situation as Kopa, I would be suspicious too. Who knows what Kovu will do and if he does something bad, then it's a good reason to not trust Kovu. Don't bash me for it. I have an opinion and you have yours. So please respect it.

Anyways, that's it for Chapter 25. See you all later in Chapter 26!
