Roman looked at Katelyn after John left. "Are you okay?" He asked as he sat down on the sofa in the room.
"Yeah." She replied. "It's done and now the divorce papers will be filed and he and I don't need to see each other again." She sighed and then looked at him. "I'm surprised to see you. I thought you weren't coming until later."
"I wasn't but then I realize that I wanted to spend time with Milly and you."
"Oh." She smiled. "Okay."
"I wanted to know if you wanted to get everything changed with Milly today."
"Sure. Let me get her ready and off we go." She replied.
Ryleigh sat in her office. She was a few weeks from her due date and wanted to get everything ready for when she was on maternity leave. "You busy?" She heard from the door and looked up to see Adam standing there.
"I'm never busy for you." She smiled.
"Good." He replied. "I brought lunch." She smiled and they sat down on the sofa in the office. "How are you and our little girl?"
"We're good and hungry." She smiled.
"Well, then let's get you both fed." He smiled. "I saw John the other day."
"He's a jerk for what he did to Katelyn." She replied.
"Well, apparently Katelyn wasn't faithful either. John said she admitted that Milly wasn't his."
Ryleigh signed. "Katelyn was faithful. She had one drunken night at a party after she and John had fought. She honestly thought John was the father. But she realized he wasn't."
"Well, their marriage is done according to John. Katelyn filed the papers." Adam replied. She nodded and they finished up lunch.
After she got work, she headed to Katelyn's. She wanted to see her and Milly. She knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
"Ryleigh." John, Katelyn's brother, answered the door.
"Hey, John. Is Katelyn here?"
"She is. She's in the sunroom with Milly and Roman. I had no idea he was Milly's father."
"I don't think anyone had any idea about that," Ryleigh replied and headed toward the sunroom. She walked in and saw Katelyn sitting on the sofa with Roman and Milly. "Hey."
"Hey," Katelyn replied.
"I hope it's okay I'm here."
"Of course. You're welcome here anytime." Katelyn smiled. "Oh, I'm sorry. Ryleigh, this is Roman. Roman, this is Ryleigh."
"Nice to meet you," Roman replied.
"You too." Ryleigh smiled.
"Well, I should go. I will see you and Milly tomorrow?"
"Yes, you will." Katelyn smiled. Roman nodded and headed out.
"So, that's Milly's dad?"
"Yes, it is," Katelyn replied. "What do you think?"
"He's cute," Ryleigh replied. "And did I see sparks between you?"
"Sparks?"
"Yeah. Sparks between you and Roman." Ryleigh looked at her. "You feel something for him."
"I do?" Katelyn asked.
"Yes, you do." Ryleigh laughed. "You feel something for him and now that you and John are done, you should see where it goes. He is Milly's father."
Katelyn sighed. "I don't know what I feel at the moment. I'm divorcing John and I'm moving on. I don't know if that's with Roman or not. I mean, I like him and he's been great with Milly."
"Katelyn, I know you better than anyone. And I know you have feelings for Roman. And I think he has them for you." She looked at Katelyn. "Just see where it goes."
Katelyn thought for a minute. "I guess I could." She replied. "So, how are you and Adam? Ready to be parents?"
"We are," Ryleigh replied. "We are excited about our little girl."
"You're having a girl?" Katelyn replied with a smile. "Milly will have a playmate and best friend."
"Yes, she will." Ryleigh smiled.
"I'm glad you're here for me."
"Always. We are best friends forever and always. I'm always here for you just like you are for me." Ryleigh hugged her.
"I can't wait to have our daughters play together and I hope they get to be best friends," Katelyn replied as she returned the hug.
"I'm sure they will. And I want to meet this Roman guy."
"You met him earlier" Katelyn replied.
"I meant to get to know him. Seeing as he is the father of your daughter."
Katelyn smiled. "We can only see what happens."
"Bring him to the house for dinner."
"I will," Katelyn replied. She didn't know what would happen with Roman. The only thing she knew was that he was the father of her child and that was a bond they would always have.
Ryleigh arrived home and smiled when she saw Randy's car in the driveway. She headed into the house. "What's up, bro." She said with a laugh.
"Just wanted to see how my sister was." He said getting up and hugging her.
"I'm good." She replied. "Your niece and I are doing good."
"Good." He smiled. "Everything else okay? Job, school, life?"
"Everything is great. How are things with you?"
"Good. I wanted to let you know that you're going to have a new niece or nephew."
"That's awesome. I'm so happy for you."
"We're very happy because we have two babies to be born into our family." He replied.
Adam walked into the room. He walked over and kissed her hello. "How was your day?" He asked her and then turned to Randy. "Randy, nice to see you."
"You too." He looked at his sister. "Let's all have lunch or dinner soon." He said before hugging her. "Call me.
"I love you, bro."
"Love you too." He replied and headed out.
She looked at Adam. "How was your day?"
"It was good." He smiled and kissed her. "Did you have a good time with Katelyn?"
"I did. I met Milly's father. It's Roman Reigns."
"Football star and frat boy. I should have known." He said smiling. "I hope things work out for her."
"Me too. She deserves to be happy." She replied.
He smiled and kissed her. "Now what does my girl want for dinner?"
"Some burgers and fries?"
"Do you want me to make it or would you prefer take out?"
"We can get it delivered"
"Sounds perfect." He picked up the phone and quickly ordered it. He wanted to spend as much time with her alone before the baby came. "Randy could have stayed."
"I think he wanted to get home. They are having another baby and he's all excited." He nodded. "I can't believe we will have so many babies this year. Milly, our little one and now Randy. It's going to be a great year."
"Yes, it will be." He replied.
"They'll all be playing together." She smiled. "And I can't wait to see how they all turn out." He nodded and kissed her. It was indeed going to be a great year.
