When Cascade finally came online, she looked up to see the familiar face of Jolt staring back down at her.
"Your systems are fully repaired," he said softly. "You were offline for two days."
"It's the strain of carrying a spark," said Cascade.
"Oh," said Jolt. "I'm,"
"I'd do it again without a second thought," said Cascade interrupting him. "I don't regret it. I'm glad to see you up and functional again. I was pretty irritated that Megatron shot you right in front of me and I couldn't do anything."
"You were a bit more than irritated," said a voice behind them. "It was a scrapping massacre. What did you think you were doing flying around and sending severed Con heads flying everywhere? I got hit with two of them and tripped over a third. It was a scrapping night terror."
With Jolt's assistance Cascade sat up to meet Hyperfall's gaze. "I was thinking that I'd kill them all."
Hyperfall chuckled while Jolt simply looked confused. "That's my femme. Are you ready for round two?"
"Absolutely, when do we leave?" she asked.
"Now would be good or Ratchet might catch us," he replied.
"What? She can't," protested Jolt.
"I'd invite you, but this is a defense forces thing," said Hyperfall.
Cascade slid off the berth and clasped a hand on Jolt's shoulder. "No worries, I'll be back soon." The two then rushed out the door.
Five minutes later Ratchet walked into the med bay. "Where's Cascade?" he asked.
Jolt froze not knowing how to respond.
"Blasted femme!" said Ratchet throwing up his arms.
"How do we look?" asked Cascade as she entered a conference room where all of the remaining defense forces were seated. Since it was only the defense forces present, that meant that her comrades suspected there was a spy on the ship.
"We've got an inside mech among the Cons," said Pivot proudly. "Stealth managed to infiltrate the Titan. He may not be the only one, but Spec Ops is keeping that close to their chest for obvious reasons."
"Optimus has set course for Cybertron once again, but we don't think the Decepticons will allow us to reach it," said Hyperfall. "We don't think they have the last pillar so they'll be after ours."
"Where could it be?" asked Skydive tilting her head up to stare at the ceiling.
"We'll look into that later," said Data waving a dismissive hand. "Though I do have a few theories."
"So what's the plan?" asked Charger.
"It's the final battle," said Hyperfall. "It's time to pull out all the stops."
"Yes!" exclaimed Mercury excitedly.
"You realize that this isn't a game?" asked Sunburn looking at Mercury in concern.
"Of course, but I finally get to use everything at my disposal," said Mercury.
"There won't be anything left," protested SilverSky.
"That's the point," said Pivot.
"If we can take down Megatron and his command crew all at once, this war will be over," said Hyperfall. "I don't know about you, but I don't want to be fighting for the rest of my existence watching as the number of those I call allies steadily declines. I say we finish this!" There was silence for a moment as no one chose to disagree with him.
"So," said UV. "What's the plan?"
Hyperfall smiled. "It's like the simulation's finals all over again, but this time they'll end a little differently."
"Maybe not," said Cascade quietly to herself.
