Here we are, another chapter awaits. Thank you all so much for your continued support of this story. I haven't said it in a while so-Stephanie Meyer owns all the main characters-I just made them better ;)

Rosalie POV

Emmett played with my hair, twirling the blonde locks in his fingers. My head was draped happily across his lap, feeling content from the last few hours of activity.

"Do you think I'll be a good dad?" Emmett asked me curiously. I almost snorted at his question.

"Why would you even ask that?" I felt annoyed that he would think so lowly of himself.

"I'm just a big kind myself, plus I cuss a lot," he bit his lip, looking down at me.

"You may be a kid at heart Emmett but you're still almost a hundred years old. You took care of me, saved me from myself-when no one else could," my voice was low, laced with love. "You're going to be amazing."

"Thanks Rose," he bent down to kiss my temple, a smile illuminating his face. I twisted my head up to the left to look at his face, then grimaced. I felt a small cramping in my stomach and braced for the pain. I tried not to scream but I couldn't help it. The screeching sounds of my diamond-like skin, refusing to grow. The baby insisting it get room, and the snap as my skin faltered. Emmett's face was twisted in agony as he watched me in pain. I had seem Alice go through this but it hurt worse than she described. This baby felt strong-even in the womb I could tell it inherited Emmett's strength.

I breathed through the pain, wincing as my body attempted to repair itself, venom rushing to the injury to rejoin my skin. It all happened rather quickly but the pain made it feel as if it dragged on forever.

"Shhh, it's okay baby," Emmett was rubbing my back, unsure of how else to comfort me. He knew I tried to be brave through the pain-I almost felt guilty complaining in any fashion, after all this was the thing I wanted most in the whole world. I sighed, as the pain was finally dulling, noticing a small bump, it looked so out of place against my pale perfect figure.

"4 months," I smiled weakly, tracing my hands over my stomach.

"You are so strong babe," Emmett placed his hand on top of mine.

"This baby is strong," I told him, "just like it's daddy."

"And I'm sure it'll be as beautiful and brave and it's mom," he beamed, looking lovingly into my eyes. I stared out the window, still and thinking, the pictures Amber had shown me flashing through my mind. Both children were so beautiful, I would be lucky to get either one. I was almost glad my baby would be "normal"-no special abilities passed down from Emmett and I. It meant less chance for the Volturi to be interested in it, easier for me to keep it safe.

"What are you thinking?" Emmett noticed my dazed look.

"That I will protect our baby no matter the cost," I told him, snow falling peacefully outside.

"And I'll be right there, supporting you," he promised me.

"Remember when the Volturi came to Forks regarding Renesmee and we thought we might die?" Emmett nodded, wondering where I was going with this morbid train of thought. "I was so ready to die for our family," I mumbled, thinking about how lucky we were to escape. "I would feel that terror-that impending death again one hundred times over to protect this baby." Emmett shuttered at my words but his hands rubbed mine gently letting me know he agreed.

"The Volturi thought they had it bad before. Carlisle and Esme would do anything to protect their kids...us," he chortled a bit, "now we each have our own kids to protect."

"A coven of eleven," I started to think, "it's practically unheard of."

"The Volturi hate large groups," Emmett grumbled. "They think it threatens their power. But I swear to God Rosie I will never let anything hurt you or our baby."

"Thank you Em," I couldn't help but smile. I knew I was the luckiest woman in the world to have Emmett a my husband. I was so broken, so angry when I first found him, and somehow he healed me. I would never be able to repay him for that. "What are you thinking?" I turned him own question around on him, noticing his brow was furrowed in thought.

"I'm just scared for the birth Rose. We saw what it did to Alice. I can't imagine seeing you so broken," his face was ridden with guilt and I could only assume he was thinking about when he had helped inflict my injuries only a few weeks ago.

"You'll be there to hold my hand. And Amber will help heal me," I reminded him. "I can't die, I'll be okay." His mouth curved a little at the edge but I knew he was still distressing.

"Trust me," I placed a long and slow kiss on his lips, lacing my fingers through his short curls.

"Always," he kissed me back, gripping the back of my hair. I giggled against his lips, and pushed him away. He frowned at me, looking down towards my exposed breast, the rest of me only covered by one of Emmett's button downs.

"Edward will kill us if we go at it again," I felt heat start to creep it's way up my body just from his lustful kiss. I couldn't deny how much I wanted to.

"Babe," Emmett wined, grabbing my hand. I sighed, about to give into to Emmett's adorable pouting face. Then I smelled it, Renesmee was cooking. I covered my nose with the sleeve of the shirt and felt blood rise up in my throat. I dashed to our bathroom, trying to reach the toilet before the stream of blood poured out of my mouth.

Alice POV

The house was filled with the slightly nauseating smell of cookies, Renesmee was blithely baking with Edward and Bella, disappointed she was going back to school in two days. New years had passed without incident, and I had even left some of the Christmas decorations up for Epiphany. Twinkling lights filled the house with a comforting atmosphere, and little metal gold and silver balls were dangling off the light fixtures.

"So what are we doing tomorrow?" Nessie asked, licking raw batter from the whisk in her hand.

"I heard ice swimming is a tradition," Emmett grinned, "I would love to swim laps around some humans." Jasper laughed lightly beside me.

"I doubt Carlisle would allow that, maybe you can go and try to blend in." Emmett scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"No fun."

"Can we go?" Amber asked excitedly from the floor where she was helping Rosalie paint some pictures for the nursery.

"We can watch," I offered. "You still look too young to be ice swimming," I laughed, my eyes apologetic. She frowned, but quickly went back to her art. Rosalie was showing slightly more now, her "20 week" belly was small but clearly rounded.

"Are you excited?" Amber asked her casually, adding a blue tail to the elephant on the canvas.

"More than I can express," she gushed, touching her belly with affection. I was still in pleasant disbelief that Rosalie's plan worked, and I couldn't wait to meet my niece or nephew. Amber confidently told us a few days ago that she knew the gender but refused to tell anyone. Even Edward tried to peek into her mind but she was careful to never bring it up when he was around.

Carlisle came down the stairs then, nodding politely at us.

"Can I borrow Amber for a bit?"

"May I join?" I asked curiously, wondering what he needed. He just nodded again. I let go of Jasper's hand and danced happily off the couch, scooping up Amber in my arms as I went. We followed Carlisle up the stairs to his large office.

Books surround us in every direction, his colorful paintings lined some of the walls where the bookcases ended.

"I just wanted to check on her growth," he explained. "I monitored Nessie very carefully as she grew but I haven't taken a fastidious approach with Amber. Just been watching from a distance, giving you all some space."

"And?" I inquired, wondering myself now about what he observed. He frowned, a hard line forming as he looked down at his desk.

"Well as you know Nessie grows almost three times as quickly as a human, almost identical to how a human would develop-just faster. I watched him speak, trying to understand what he was getting at.

"But I'm not human," Amber guessed where he was going.

"No," he sighed, "not at all." "You're extremely smart Amber, it's only been a few months and your speech is impeccable. You have decent decision making..." he trailed off. "However your motor function isn't fully there, you still can't walk or run, your body portions are still similar to a child who is only a few months old. When we're changed from humans to vampires there are parts of our brains that are amplified-like the temporal lobe, the occipital lobe, you get the point. Our senses and movements become accelerated. We also still have the ability to take in and learn new information. But there are other parts like our hypothalamus and in some cases our frontal lobe that don't seem to change as much. That's why immortal children are so dangerous-they never develop into understanding their decisions and consequences. I'm sure this is all very interesting," he laughed lightly, sighing. "You know I love science, I'm sorry I get carried away sometimes." I giggled as well.

"It's fine, Jasper is the same way with history."

"As an immortal we have no need to sleep, hormone regulation is useful for some things- more than I originally thought-but of course we all went through puberty before we were changed. I can't be sure of course but I don't think she's growing how I originally predicted." He bit his lip, worry evident on his face. "Her mind is developing quickly, I would guess her brain will be capable as any adults-in terms of learning and making decisions. Her body will accommodate as much as necessary, but at this rate I don't think she will get any bigger than a toddler, maybe the size of a four or five year old." I felt a bit of shock, and stared down at my beautiful daughter. Her face looked mature, sightly instead of cute, but Carlisle was right-she was still so little.

"What does this mean?" I asked, worried at my father's tone.

"Well, in terms of the Volturi, not much. She still thinks and develops mentally-so she is not the same as an immortal child. In terms of our family," he hesitated. "We can stay in one place because young adults- human ones- don't drastically change. Children however, change all the time. That's why we can get away with having Nessie out and about. Of course she can't continue on with school for years-that would be very noticeable. But around town? We can just claim another growth spurt." My mind worked quickly to process what he was getting at.

"She won't be able to pretend to be human," my voice was almost a whisper.

"I'm afraid not," his eyes darted away again. "I've thought about this a lot. It doesn't mean we can't maintain permanent residences. There's a few options. Once Renesmee is old enough, you seven can go to school, leave the children at home. Or we say you are all home schooled, that way you can interact with the town and not be gone all day." I pursed my lips, I knew some of them wouldn't mind but in a way I loved going to school, interacting with humans. It made me feel almost normal.

"Mommy," Amber placed her hand on my cheek. I smiled, seeing a vision of us camping somewhere. The whole family laughing, gazing up at the stars. Her vision changed to show Jasper and I walking through a Christmas market, her on our back. None of the areas were recognizable. Coming back to the present I had a ping of worry fill me.

"But Carlisle, we've already been out with her."

"In Stockholm though right?" he asked.

"And the hotel," I felt a twinge of shame at mentioning that. My emotions had gotten the better at me when fighting with Edward. "And Bella took her out to dinner when Charlie was here."

"I see," his face fell again, "well no one ever said she was yours right?"

"Right," I followed his train of thought. "If anyone asks, she was our niece visiting from America for the winter?"

"That went home at New Years," he finished.

"So I can't go out again?" Amber protested, her eyes growing wide with realization.

"I'm afraid not," Carlisle said. "In fact I'm thinking of enrolling you all in online courses at the school. It just doesn't make sense to try to make it there anymore."

"Then we can be home with you," I told her, a small smile spreading on my face. She seemed to like this answer.

"Let's tell the others," he gestured for me to lead the way downstairs.

I zoned out slightly as he filled in everyone else on our plans moving forward. Nessie would be the only one staying at her school, at least until the school year finished in May. Bella was the only one truly bummed about not being able to continue with "traditional" college. Rosalie seemed to take the news fairly well about the baby would develop. I started paying attention more when she asked a question.

"What about mates?" Carlisle looked at her with slight confusion.

"If they're kids forever-psychically at least how will they find mates?"

"I don't know," he answered truthfully. "Our kind doesn't need a mate. We don't need to procreate. That was supposed to be impossible. It was a biological box I'm not sure we were meant to open. They will never go through puberty. I don't think their hypothalamus will even develop fully." I tried to gauge Amber's reaction to all this but she didn't seemed bothered. She was absentmindedly drawing on the floor with Nessie. "I have studied vampires longer than I have studied humans and there is still a lot I don't understand. If immortal children were taught to feed on animals-and changed when they were say-4 or 5, would they still be so unpredictable? It's hard to say. The Volturi barely acknowledge our vegetarian way of life as it is. Why Amber grows and changes the way she does- it's only a guess."

"I still have my doubts," Edward answered someone's silent comment. I eyed him suspiciously and he looked back to Carlisle. "He thinks this proves his God theory even more. That we are being rewarded for our way of life. That vampires at their core weren't meant to be evil." I gasped a little at this theory. I knew Carlisle believed in our souls; that doing good in this life mattered just as much as it did in our previous ones. I wasn't sure how I felt on the subject. I didn't remember my human feelings on religion, but locking your child in an asylum didn't seem very Godly. However, I didn't see why some of my family thought our immortality automatically damned us. I knew finding Jasper, and having Amber meant there was someone looking out for our kind. Edward and Rosalie used to be the most steadfast about the subject. After changing Bella though, Edward seemed to budge a bit, and Rose-with her greatest wish fulfilled, I wasn't sure how she felt anymore.

"It doesn't mean they won't form unbreakable bonds," Carlilse continued to address Rosalie's question, "they still feel love, as unyielding as any of us."

"Just no sex," Emmett piped up. Jasper hissed at him, eying Amber cautiously. She wrinkled her nose, obviously understanding Emmett's words.

"Gross," she whispered under her breath. Carlisle couldn't help but laugh.

"Agree," Renesmee whispered too, giggling slightly. I couldn't help but smile at their childlike innocence. I did feel a twinge of guilt knowing that Nessie would not stay this way. She would grow, change, have children if she wanted to. Amber would always be this-our beautiful child. I felt a small wave of reassurance come over me and I squeezed Jasper's hand, thanking him for noticing my pain.

"So can I still go ice swimming tomorrow?" Emmett asked, a smirk on his face.

"Sure," Carlisle held back a laugh, "just behave."

"Always," Emmett's smirk widened and he winked.

"So am I ever going to get the college experience?" Bella wondered, a small whine in her voice.

"Trust me love you're not missing much," Edward assured her.

"I don't know that! Everyone else has been," she folded her arms across her chest.

"When we move again we can alter our story, then you and Edward can go to college if you wish," Carlisle told her. She gave a half-smile, approving of this plan. I saw the scene flash quickly through my mind before I heard the ring. Carlisle's phone played a familiar tone and he answered it swiftly.

"Hello," his voice was formal, not bothering to check who was calling. He relaxed at the soft, long-familiar voice on the other line. "Tanya, it's good to hear from you. We haven't seen you since…," she answered his awkward pause. Her voice was low on the other end but I could make out most of what she was saying. She was disappointed she hadn't seen us before we left the US. She asked how our Christmas with went, and Carlilse shared the story of Charlie, Seth and Sue coming to visit. Their conversation went on casually for a while, exchanging pleasantries. Then she asked if they could come visit. She claimed Garrett was getting restless, still struggling with his new diet and that they hadn't left the house in months. She told Carlisle they wanted to fly but weren't sure how Garrett would handle himself. He suggested they swim, they could run through the desolate parts of Canada then swim the Atlantic. She seemed less than thrilled about the long trip. I heard Garrett yell something in the background and she tittered.

"He misses adventure, he's calling me a wimp," her voice was louder now. Carlisle looked toward Amber and Rosalie's growing belly-apprehensive.

"They're our family too," Edward reminded him quietly.

"Was that Edward, tell him hi," Tanya said.

"We'd love to have you," Carlisle finally decided. "When do you think you'll be here?"

"Two days, maybe? We'll see how the swim goes," she laughed.

"Excellent, we look forward to seeing you," he answered pleasantly, ending the call.

"You made the right choice," Esme comforted him, lacing her arm through his.

"We can't hide from them. I think informing our allies is the best option we have," Jasper agreed with Carlisle and I was surprised he was so calm. He continued, "we can't conceal her forever. If we had been more forthcoming with Nessie then maybe we could have had more time to prepare against the Volturi, and Irina might not have been lost." His voice dipped with sadness.

"Hell ya, I miss Garrett," Emmett added enthusiastically, squeezing Rosalie's shoulders with joy. She smiled at him, her golden eyes glowing with love.

"I'll get some extra furniture from storage," Esme declared excitedly.

"Wait back here," I told Amber, who was in Jasper's arms, her eyes were beaming with excitement.

"Calm down," Rosalie said, her voice tried to be stern but she let a laugh escape. She would wait in the back room with Amber and Jasper. Amber's gaze flickered from the back window to the large ornate chess board to the bookshelf, unable to hold still. I rounded the corner into the kitchen and into the main hallway where the rest of the family was casually waiting on chairs or leaning by the doorway. It had been about 35 hours- a little less than Tanya predicted. My vision had told me they had entered the forest right next to our home only minutes ago. Carlisle already had the door open to greet them, and I saw them then. Tanya was leading, her blond curls framed her medium build, golden eyes piercing. Kate and Garrett were holding hands, laughing, playfully hitting each other, and Carmen and Eleazar brought up the rear, their dark hair a sudden contrast to the white-blonde sisters. They too were holding hands, swinging their arms happily.

"Carlisle!" Tanya beamed upon noticing him. "Thank you so much for having us," She crossed the threshold into our home in mere seconds, embracing Carlisle. He chuckled,

"You're family, you are always welcome." He pulled away from her hug, looking into her eyes with sincerity.

"Garrett!" Emmett's voice boomed as he went out to greet him with a one-armed bro hug.

"Ugh, these girls have kept me trapped in the house for ages," he teased looking at Kate. "It's so good to be somewhere new." Esme greeted Carmen and Eleazar with hugs, passing them off to say hello to Bella and Renesmee.

"She's so big!" Carmen gushed over Nessie, kneeling down to hug her at eye-level.

"You're telling me," Edward joked, accepting a friendly hug from Tanya.

"We needed this," Kate smiled at me. "We last saw you all under such unpleasant circumstances. We needed a happy reunion."

"Agreed," I smiled at our cousins.

"Where's your girl?" Garrett asked Emmett, noticing Rosalie wasn't in the front hallway to greet them.

"Remember when I asked you to be open minded back when you first met Renesmee?" Edward asked, trying to keep his tone light.

"What did you do this time?" Eleazar rolled his eyes but a hint of worry was in his voice.

"Just don't shock me," Emmett warned Kate, still humorous.

"No promises," she joked, raising her hands in the air.

"But really what happened?" Eleazar was curious now, as a previous member of the Volturi he was more astute to possible infractions.

"Rose," Emmett called out, moving impossibly quickly to take her hand as she appeared out of the kitchen. I heard a few gasps from their family, whispers too low for even me to understand.

"What is this?" Carmen finally spoke, her accent was thick in her question.

"Are you?" Kate couldn't finish the question that was stuck in her throat.

"Pregnant," Rosalie finished for her, he face carved into a permanent smile.

"And Emmett?" Kate tried again to understand.

"Is the father," Rose laughed now, lacing her hand through Emmett's.

"Really?" Eleazar's voice was merely a whisper, his eyes flaring with wonder.

"Yes, we have Alice to thank for that, and Carlisle of course," Emmett nodded towards us, a grin plastered on his face as well.

"I guess I should have known if anyone would have figured this out it would be you Carlisle," Tanya smiled softly looking toward our father. "But Alice, what does she mean when thanking you?"

"This is the part where you don't freak out okay?" I looked at the Denali's hesitantly. They all nodded in confusion as I called for Jasper. I felt his calming effects before he even appeared around the corner, grateful he was trying to make this reveal as amicable as possible. I watched as he walked slowly, Amber in his arms, looking at the new faces that had their eyes locked on her.

"Tanya, Kate, Garrett, Eleazar, Carmen," Jasper addressed them all formally still continuing to move toward where we were all gathered, "I would like you to meet Amber." Tanya took a deep breath and I could tell she was trying to keep the open-mind we had requested.

"Do I even have to ask?" Kate looked frightened, clinging to Garrett's side.

"She's not an immortal child," Jasper shook his head, his face was stern.

"Not like Renesmee though," Eleazar observed, turning to look toward my niece.

"No," I answered then, flitting over to stand next to my husband and daughter.

"Can I show them?" Renesmee piped up then, her curls framing her sweet face. I answered her with a resounding smile and she walked slowly over to them. She started with Tanya, then Kate, then Garrett, then Eleazar and finally Carmen. They were used to her strange power from when Edward and Bella had first brought Nessie to meet them.

"She's beautiful Alice," Tanya finally gushed.

"May I?" Eleazar was still weary, trying to understand this new discovery. Amber acknowledged his request by pulling him toward us. His face became unavailingly more astounded. "I can see the resemblance. It's so obvious now," he commented, his eyes flitting between the three of us. "And that," he looked over his shoulder to where he used to be standing "was amazing.."

"Thank you," Amber beamed and he couldn't help but smile back at her angelic voice.

"I have so many questions," Kate gushed, looking eagerly at Garrett's face.

"Make yourselves at home," Carlisle gestured over to the living room where several chairs, couches, and chaises waited. Some of them sat, others chose to stand. Our family inserted ourselves where we felt comfortable.

"So this started from an attack? You got hurt?" Kate clarified. She was perched on Garrett's leg as he leaned back into an oversized armchair.

"Right," I agreed, "I knew I had injuries but I didn't realize anything had changed-that is until I started puking blood and getting bruises." Amber winced,

"Sorry." I just squeezed her shoulder reassuringly.

"Carlisle was able to piece together what happened. After Bella got pregnant, he realized our bodies weren't as unchanging as he originally imagined."

"But there are some things preventing females from getting pregnant," Carlisle chimed in.

"That's where the injuries come in?" Tanya guessed.

"Mm hmm," I said.

"So you can duplicate this?" Carmen asked, her eyes doing a once-over on Rosalie and then focusing on Carlisle.

"Not everyone will be able to duplicate it," he explained. "There are certain elements that must be in place from when you were human." Her face fell slightly but I could see hope still glistened in her eyes.

"Like what?"

"Your uterus. It had to be in the secretory phase of a cycle, that is after an egg is released. It is the time when the lining is prime for nourishing an embryo. When we are changed, most of our body is hardened, venom replacing most fluids in our bodies. The liner is much the same- the blood, the cells, the nourishing fluid were all changed, but not destroyed. The liner, when intact-is perfect to cultivate a vampire pregnancy. Then the other complication- the ovaries' exit is sealed over during transformation, only a strong injury is enough to rupture it." They let out murmurs of understanding, pondering Carlisle's words.

"So there's no way to know?" Carmen asked sadly.

"Not unless you remember that minute detail from your human life," Carlisle laughed without humor. "I would never suggest someone go through the injuries and possible permanent damage without knowing if they could be successful." Carmen looked at Rosalie then, suspicious of what he had said.

"I did remember that detail," Rosalie muttered quietly, pain visible on her face. "Even then, Carlisle was hesitant to let me try. I got Emmett to help, and for even more reassurance I went to Siobhan." They seemed quite surprised at her admission.

"Rosalie has wanted this her entire life," Edward explained, "none of us were in any place to stop her."

"And the Volturi then?" Eleazar questioned. "Do they know?"

"No," Edward said grimly, his tone dark.

"We know they find out eventually," Jasper added, "but we're not sure how or when." Tanya's nose wrinkled in confusion.

"I thought you could only see once someone's decided something," she looked at me.

"I can," I told her looking down at Amber. "But Amber, she sees visions based on fate, just the constant chaos and flow that is the world around us. Very subjective, but also accurate to some degree."

"Usually Amber will see several possibilities of a certain event, two to a thousand different outcomes could appear to her," Jasper tried explaining. "So we know they will come-eventually."

"Fascinating," Garrett mumbled, he seemed the most genuinely curious, excited even.

"And what she did to me back there," Eleazar nodded towards the front door. "A gift as well?"

"Yes," Amber answered this time, confidence was growing in her voice. "I think I'm getting a handle on it."

"Anything else?" Eleazar asked again, taking lead on this conversation.

"I can show you," Amber was excited now. She leaped over towards Eleazar and his hand reached downward, influenced by Amber. She grabbed it and I noticed his eyes drifted, looking into a future no one else could see. He refocused moments later.

"You could all die," he whispered, "or all live. Seems more troublesome to be presented with such opposing futures."

"Sometimes yes," I told him, "but it's better than being taken by surprise."

"Have the Volturi ever seen anything like this?" Carlisle wondered now. "In my time there it was never mentioned but, have you ever heard of such a thing?" Eleazar gulped, his eyes darting back and forth. Edward's face morphed into shock when he heard whatever he was thinking.

"How did you find out?" Edward whispered.

"It was after I left," he started. "I met someone who was there that day- the day Marcus' wife died. Before the Volturi were as powerful as they are now, this girl was able to escape. Ambrosia was her name. Her power is, quite unique and painful. She lives in hiding, and I only happened upon her because of my own gift. When someone dies-vampire or human- she can see the most impactful events in their life, 'Their life flashing before their eyes,' if you will. When Didyme died, she learned a lot more than she meant to that day. Didyme remembered her transformation, falling in love," he trailed off.

"Go on," Edward encouraged him, a little more harshly than he meant to. Eleazar sighed and Carmen squeezed his hand hearteningly.

"It turns out someone had already tried to kill her once before- a burly hitman- hired by Aro most likely. But he didn't succeed-only leaving her with grave injuries. It was not long after this that she started experiencing strange symptoms. Vomiting blood, ripping and tearing of her skin." I gasped beginning to understand where he was going with this story. "Marcus could feel the bond before she even told him. Aro found out, naturally."

"And killed her himself," Edward finished, noticing the growing pain in Eleazar's voice.

"That's why they tried to run away together," Carlilse mused.

"Yes," Eleazar answered simply. My body shook with anger, knowing that Aro would do that to his own sister-his unborn niece or nephew.

"Has he ever tried to replicate it?" Carlisle wondered.

"Your guess is as good as mine," Eleazar answered sadly. "He never did, at least in the time I was there."

"But he knows it's possible," Jasper's voice was sharp and angry.

"This changes things," Carlisle's voice was low.

"Reasoning with the Volturi won't be an option," I realized, my voice hoarse.

"No," Jasper looked at me, his eyes dark.

"Unless," Edward looked deep in thought. "It's a very convoluted plan," he laughed darkly. "This could be our once chance to break up the Volturi. "If Marcus knew the truth, it would be enough to send him over the edge-to turn on Aro."

"We could never convince him, Aro has him bound so tightly to the guard, he would never believe us," Eleazar said, shooting down the idea.

"Perhaps not," Edward thought again. "What if we could make him see the truth?"

"And how would you suggest we do that?" Jasper seemed a little annoyed at Edward.

"We ask for Aurelia's help."

I haven't written a cliffhanger in a while but this one just felt… right. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter- A Lot was unpacked here and I hope you are getting any idea of where this is going. As always please let me know what you think it means the world to me.
